Realistic or Modern The Shipyard

Lol, it's not started or anything yet. @Quarantine just got the BBCode set up so it's ready. It's four years later. She tagged all of us in it but I don't think the alerts worked 'cause I didn't get it either until she told me it was up. Most of them are in prison (as was one of the options we all previously discussed), including Q. My lil baby Q is in prison. He's not fairing well, lol. Hence needing the boys to look out for him if they're so willing and able.
|| Black Cat II: Cage || Characters||

Lol, I even wrote a lil fic about it. It's in my CS.
No xD I knew the alerts wouldn't work. Tags don't work if you edit them in.

Its entirely optional; You can wait until its done or go ahead. It's been up since last Friday.

Oh! Was I not supposed to say the thread was up then? I didn't realize the tags were intentionally not working. My bad. I thought it was a glitch.

My second flight got delayed btw, so I'm just chillin in Wisconsin at the airport. I'm half tempted to buy a cheese hat. Because there are so many cheese hats. So. Many.

Jesus Christ. I lived there for three months and never saw a single cheese hat. Its nothing compared to the brass monkeys here.

Now I have that song stuck in my head, lol. "Brass monkey. That funky monkey!"

....I'm so bored. Omg. Help me, lol.

I don't think that means what you think it means (B^D) (':3)

I resorted to emojis to explain my feeling on this. The biggest one no one understands is when I talk about someone that made pavement pizza.

OH YOU CUTE LITTLE AMERICANS.

That's, like, puking in the street right?

...because my sister (the CSI agent in Vegas) has also used the term for when they have a jumper. Ah, dead body humor. It's terrible. I love my sister.

I'm sorry but I don't think that I'll be able to continue RPing, I wasn't really expecting it to get this detailed. I'm terribly sorry for dropping out in the middle like this but I don't know if I'm going to have enough time to keep up with everything, feel free to either kill Alex off or use him as a NPC. Terribly sorry. :(

@Kade Anyway, I just didn't want to bring it up in case the others thought that meant it was necessary to post so early.

Eahhh. I, thank god, only have to deal with homicides. Not that those are pretty, either.

@Der Eine Goodbye.

Lol, yeah. I basically have two modes: angst or humor. Sometimes both at the same time. But look at him! There's no way he was going to come out of high security prison unscathed. No way. When I saw four years I was like, "Oh, I gotta change gears!" *rubs hands together in evil glee* He'll still have his Qisms. There's just other stuff on top of that now...

Lol, I'm in New York! (Also, I can't really do anything until about another...forty in-game minutes have passed. Or someone comes outside to join Q. Because realism).

As she stepped out of the house, a frown immediately tugged at her mouth as she pulled the door close behind her. It was colder than she expected. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see the new kid - Q - actually digging in the snow. A snort escaped her mouth as she trudged towards their vehicles. He'd been serious about the snow fort. She had to hand it to him. He was making the best out of the snow and escaping the inevitable heavy tension in the cabin.
I'm not one to talk, but I just took a bunch of sleeping pills and have to go soon. I just noticed I wasn't getting as many notifications.

Oh no, I saw that, but Ana seeing Q and actually walking over to interact with Q are two very different things. She took a tone with him earlier. He's not going to approach her first, lol. Scary girls are scary.

@Nyxione @too much idea @Der Eine Have you guys seen the thread for part two of this game yet? Just curious if you were in 'cause I already listed Alex, Dio, and David as Q's go-to bros. If you're open to it, before we start playing I was hoping to sort of hash out what their relationship status actually is since there's that time jump. No hurry, of course; we still have to finish this game. I just didn't want to go into it blind or make any assumptions. Q's CS is already up if you wanted to see what's been going on with him over the time jump. It's not good things, lol.
Dio is definitely going to stick closer to his 'family', and start seeing him as a younger brother that he never had.

Wah! Things are gettin' heated in that kitchen, lol.

@Nyxione[/URL]) and Dio (and maybe Alex if we're still puppeteering that character that far into the game). That detail may not seem like it matters, but for character development it kind of does because Q will have seen them as his personal saviors and will want to stick to them like glue once finally out of the med ward. Considering the damage he took, that's probably what spawned more of the protective older brother instincts in David and Dio as well, I would imagine. So they will have gone from kind of watching his back to, "Shit, these guys almost killed him. We need to pay more attention." Yeah? (On top of whatever else happens with your characters, because I imagine their four years weren't pretty either; so safety in numbers also plays a general factor here. Q isn't a fighter by nature, but he's a scrappy lil shit and resourceful as all hell, so he's not entirely useless either...as seen in the fic if anyone read it, lol.)

Sorry, I know this is way early advance planning. I just like to wrap my head around relationships and status so I'm in the right mindset before we go into it. Plus I might write more ficlets, lol. It's four years of angst and hurt/comfort I can play with! *throws confetti*

**Edit - thinking on it, it's very possible if you guys wanted that David and Dio (maybe also Alex) jumping in to interrupt Q's beatdown started a whole freakin' prison brawl and everyone came out injured. They all probs spent some time in the med ward, lol. Just something for you guys to potentially play with if you wanted. That could also be good source material for some more angst (the boys feeling guilty 'cause Q got hurt so bad in the first place because they weren't watching out for him, Q feeling guilty because they got hurt in return trying to protect him, guilt feelings everwhere!)

David and Dio, as Q's protective 'older bro'?

Count me in i just imagined a scene where David and Dio stepped in when Q got bullied by an entire gang of prisoners and singlehandedly win the fight. Glorious

I am sorry for the longass post :'D Got a bit carried away with all the kitchen drama.

If it's cool with you guys, I'm going to assume that the big beatdown (which occurred near the end of his first year and done to set an example that basically if he didn't let someone take him under their wing as their token bitch, he was going to get hurt because he didn't have some big name prison bully to protect him) was probably interrupted by David (@Nyxione) and Dio (and maybe Alex if we're still puppeteering that character that far into the game).
I'm cool with this. More than cool actually. Big brothers to the rescue XDD

Oh it definitely matters! Details matter ♥ Always.

Sounds gucci to me~ :D

4 years from now David... I actually have no idea yet as to how he'll be like in part two. I do, however, already know what he'll look like [link] a douchebag basically. Will need to change the eye colour, but for the most part he'll be having longer hair and a stubble. (David was actually supposed to have a stubble since his model fc has a stubble, but it's hard to find anime art featuring a stubble ;w;)

OMG!! THIS IMAGE <3 YAS YAS YASSSS TO THIS.

I AM LOVING THIS BIG BRO THING WITH DAVID, DIO AND Q <333

Lol, got bored so I decided to have Q try again with the whole socializing thing anyway. I may have altered my own future setup, but I'll make it work if I did. I'm at the airport getting ready to fly home. I don't want to go home yet! (going home from vacation is always hard). :(

Because I'm on a plane and still bored and never did well in writing anything in a chronological timeline. A potential scene from a future that may never even happen, lol. (briefly featuring David--I sort of borrowed him but not really @Nyxione).

Troubled Integration: A Future Q Ficlet

Q jolted upright, his breaths coming out in short gasps, his whole body rigid as he glanced around the room.

"Where am I? Where am I?" he muttered in fear until his eyes focused and he started waking up enough to remember. "Base. You're at the base. You're fine. You're safe."

He didn't feel very safe. He'd been dreaming. Nightmares, actually, which weren't surprising. Who could have normal dreams after four years of how he'd lived?

Sleep was not going to return anytime soon, not when those dreams were fresh on his mind; not things that had happened, but things that could've happened. So many bad things could've happened. So. Many.

Hopping out of bed, he paced back and forth a few times in his room before he turned to his desk, looking at the computer they'd let him borrow.

"Borrow? Or have. Is it mine? It doesn't matter."

He flipped it open, turned it on, stared at the password prompt screen for a second, tapped his finger on the desk, closed the laptop and jumped back to his feet.

"You shouldn't. You're not allowed. It's not allowed. They'll put you in solitary." Clamping his eyes shut, he backed away from the desk and went back to pacing. "No, no, you're fine. There's no solitary here. They gave it to you. You can log on. It's fine. You're fine, Q. You're fine. You can be Switch again. It's okay. You can be Switch. No one's watching you now. It's okay to be Switch."

He sat back down, opened the laptop, logged in, opened up a browser window...

"What if it's different? Of course it's different. It's been four years. You're behind. You're so far behind. You won't be able to keep up anymore. The coding's gotta be so different now. You'll get caught. Switch will get caught. They're still watching. They'll catch you if you're not careful. How can I be careful when I'm so far behind? I don't know what to be careful of. I'll get us caught."

He slammed the laptop closed, sat still for a second, then abruptly shoved it off the table. "Too risky."

But now he had nothing to do, nothing to help settle his nerves, nothing to help him sleep.

"Can I go out?" His head swiveled towards the door and his fingers tapped against his thigh for a moment. "Yes, yes, I can go out. It's fine. You're fine. No one will hurt you here. I don't think. No, no one will hurt me here."

Cautiously, he cracked open his door and took a glance up and down the hall. No one. There was no one there. "Of course not, it's the middle of the night."

He slipped out and slowly, so slowly closed his door so as not to wake anyone, then tiptoed down the hall to one door over. Just one. It wasn't far, not far enough to warrant keeping his back to the wall, but he did it anyway out of sheer habit. No one was there watching it for him so he had to. "Gotta stop doing that."

His hand lifted as if to rap his knuckles on the door, but he paused and checked the knob instead. Unlocked. He said he'd keep it unlocked just in case. "He kept his promise." Good. Q had made him pinky swear.

Slow as snow melting in the wintertime, he inched the door open, open, open, quiet as mice. He kept his mouth shut too, remembering to keep himself to himself. He needed to learn to do that again too. It wasn't normal. Thinking out loud all the time wasn't normal. He needed to be normal again; as normal as he was before, at least. So many things to work on to be normal.

What you're doing now isn't normal. You're twenty-two.

No, but it was too soon. Too soon since they'd gotten out. Too soon to act like he belonged in the real world yet. He never really did belong. Not quite.

He was sleeping. David was sleeping. Of course he was. Q shouldn't wake him up. He wanted to, but he didn't want to. It would be rude. Being rude wasn't polite. David had taken care of him so much. Q should try to take care of David too. He shouldn't wake him. Crawling into the bed would wake him.

Plan B then. It wouldn't be as good, but it would be almost as good. It'd be like in his cell when he was alone and afraid, but he wouldn't be alone. It'd be safe, and David was right there. Just right there.

Moving carefully, he dropped down to his stomach, wincing slightly as his knee decided to act up. It didn't always. Sometimes it did, just to remind him, a reminder of what almost happened but didn't because David and Dio had saved him.

Behave, knee. Don't make me hiss. I don't want to wake up David. David takes care of you.

He got his tricky joint to unlock and quietly slid his way under the bed, inch by inch, moving between one breath and the next. There was more room under this bed, much more than under his cot in his cell. It was comfortable, comfortable enough where he could lay on his side. He did, pressing his back all the way up against the wall.

You're safe. It's safe. They can't find you here, and David is above you. You're safe.

This wasn't right. This wasn't okay. But it made him feel secure, made him relax, made him push the demons out of his head that chased him around in his dreams. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe he'd sleep in his own room in his own bed tomorrow. Maybe all the way through. Not tonight though. Tonight he was staying where he was. He could be abnormal for just one more night. One more and then he'd be fine. He'd make himself be fine. Just one more night...

OMGGG D: Q!! ;-; The poor bby. :''''c

the angst is real

By the way, the scene where Q got David to pinky promise actually made me laugh a bit. I can honestly see David rolling his eyes when Q asked for him to do it but still do it anyway. xD

Pinky promising is a thing, lol. I used it in the other fic too and thought it was cute.

(What would be cuter would be David waking up the next morning to find Q under his bed, lol.)
