Fantasy The Queen's Madness ooc

Whoo, look at all these character ideas.

And then here I am, thinking of a shapeshifter who had a knack for illusion magic who just likes messing with people. Like, he doesn't care if it's the queen or the rebels, he'll mess with any attempts he could get his hands on.

Of course, all done in a disguise.
Crap. That's about what I'm thinking. Only more like shadow magic, and like a chaotic nuetral, but hoping one side or the other tries to recruit me.

You want them to be partners in crime? Or maybe rivals on who can cause more chaos?
Ooo, that could be interesting and fun! Which to you think, allies or enmies? Maybe more like antagonistic allies? Like they work together or sabotage each other as it suits them? That would have a lot of otential for anything. Like maybe getting hired for opposing jobs and endlessly making each others lives more difficult, or getting hired to steal the same object by different people and working together to get it, then tricking the people into thinking they both got the item but in reality they sell it to a third person so they each get paid by the person that hired them and split the money from however they actually sold it to between them.... SO many possibilites...

I think that they would just try to one up each other but are friends otherwise. I think they would work together or against each other depending on the situation or what they think they should do. It would be really fun to play them because they'd be those guys who mess with each other but when they combine forces, they'd be something to look out for. But they would have an unsaid rule that they won't snitch about each other to the authorities.

Exactly. I really like the idea, I think it would be awesome and a lot of fun.

Sweet. I like the idea of messing with others, to be honest, but just enough to get out of the reach of both the authorities and the rebels.
Yeah, that's kind of how I planned on starting out, but like I said, I was also kind of thinking it might be interesting to see if one side or the other tried to recruit her. I think eventually I'd like to join a side but I dunno. Might be more fun to stay neutral and just mess with everyone. I'm going to leav it up to see how it goes in the rp.

If she does plan on joining one side, there's a chance that she could convince my character to come with her. A very slight chance, but there nonetheless. Though he's more for the cash and chaos than really just siding because of the goal.

Yeah, I'm thinking my joining a side would more be a character developement type of deal. She doesn't really care much about the rebellion or the queen. She has a history of working for or with people tied to either side. At the beginning I plan on being more of a shallow character. Only interested in what's best for her. But she'll grow I think.

Yeah, it'd be nice for character development. I haven't really thought that far for what my character would be like. He just wants to have fun, and create chaos and a little destruction. I think he'd be more inclined in trying to finish the rebellion with either side winning. He doesn't like seeing that much death, after all. I think that's his main reason for messing up most of the plots of both sides. Not too sure yet.

awriternamedian awriternamedian Would a smoke bomb type of thing be feasible in this? I'm putting 'alchemy' down as a strength, poisons, antidotes, maybe some sort of powder that can be bundled in such a way that it creates a smoke screen effect for quick escape or distraction. If not, I'll just stick with poisons and remedies.

I used the term alchemy for lack of a better word if I can do the smoke screen thing. Herbalist sounded too specific and more like someone that mixes medicines than someone that makes poisons which is mostly what she does.

That's an interesting way to go. I'm probably going to go along the lines of eventually wanting what's best for the people and bringing the war to an end. I plan on my character developing ties and relationships, which will make her care more about the war as she wants the people she cares about to be safe and happy more than anything.

Hm, fair enough. Feel that character development all around.
