The Psycho

He sat In the car, and looked around. He noticed that it was dark outside... Or at least, getting that way. He yawned, and stretched his hands up to the sky. "Good day, huh?" He said to her. "What do you want to do-" he looked at the back seat of the car, and saw an orange bottle for... Pills? She takes medication? He thought.

Looking at the time, she sighed softly and pulled out of the parking lot. "I can take you home. My mom will freak out if I'm not home by nine," she explained, sounding a bit angry. She hated having an early curfew, but at the same time, she didn't mind it.

Alex followed his directions and soon pulled up next to his place. "Here we are," she said with a smile.

"Hey..." He said, looking at her face. "D-do you think... I'll see you again?" His face was one of longing... But a hint of fear of leaving.

"Definitely," she said, looking at him. She blushed at the thought and ran her fingers through her black hair and looking down.

"How..." He was interrupted by his dad's hand grabbing him. He dragged him out of the car, yanking and screaming. Charlie was powerless. He tried to reach for the girls hand...."help me..." He seemed to smile.

Alex quickly got out and stormed up to the man, her phone in hand just in case. "Let him go," she whispered, anger and unpredictability leaking through her voice.

"Fair enough. Alex looked at Charlie and mouthed "I'm sorry," before punching him hard enough to leave a bruise. She then called the police, telling them that the man was drunk and he did it.

Alex glared at the man and smirked. "Don't cross me," she said simply before helping her friend.

His world felt woozy and blurry.... He tried to hold onto the door. The sound if the sirens hurt his head. His eyes started to close, and then he passed out.

After talking to the police, the man was arrested and Alex dragged her friend back into her car. She drove to her house and explained to her mother what happened. After getting her to agree, Alex dragged him inside and laid him on the couch.

After a couple of hours, he woke up on the couch. He rolled to the left, and fell on the floor. "SON OF-" he screamed in pain

Alex stifled a laugh as she watched. "There's a floor there," she said sarcastically. She helped him back up onto the couch before taking her place in a chair.

"My place. What was that with you and your dad?" Alex asked quickly, wanting to get to the point with no hesitation. She was curious, but she mostly wanted to help.

"Ever since my mom left,.." He looked at her. "He hasn't been taking it well...." He looked away, trying to forget the pain.

Alec put a hand on his knee for support. She looked at him with concerned eyes and finally understood. "You don't have to say anymore," she said softly.

He nodded. Scratching his head, he rose up, looking around with a stern look. "I'm hungry..." His belly rumbled.

Alex laughed and stood up, going into the kitchen. She pulled out some stuff and started making tacos.
