The One From an Alien Planet

Ren spun his bow around, shooting an arrow straight past Cortana's head, and into the door. "You know... I didn't have him bring you here for a mere greeting." He gave a small smile, clearly full of energy once more.

Cortana turned to him, her bow grasped firmly in her hand. She took out an arrow, twirling it. "Is that a challenge?" She asked.

Ren pulled out another arrow, twirling it for a moment. "I don't know, is it?" He pulled the arrow back, spinning around and quickly shooting a sideways flying disc in the very center of the target drawn on it. One was sent flying towards him, so he pulled an arrow out, getting it ready and shooting the target as it passed over him as he knelt on the ground, the target a good ways above him.

Cortana looked at him. "I bet it is. Be careful though, sometimes mine catch on fire." She said, pulling back her arrow. She looked for a target, finding a disk that was flying though the air, and she shot the arrow, and it hit the center of the target.

Ren spun out three arrows, one straight in the center, the other two off at odd angles that looked like they'd go in a random direction, but could still be fired. He looked at the five targets that were now flying. One of the other guys shot a target, then rend shot his three arrows. He hit two in the center, and one between the middle and the side. Turning around, he pulled out another arrow, shooting it right past Cortana's face and hitting a disc that would've hit her if he didn't. "Well, I'd say watch your back, but I think I've got that covered." He gave a little laugh that was filled with friendliness.

Cortana smiled and looked at him. "Have you tried shooting from horseback?" She asked, twirling an arrow. She came face to face with him, pulling an arrow and aiming without looking. She smiled and took in a breath, sending out a silent ping that bounced off the target. She fired and it hit dead center and she smiled.

Ren prepared an arrow on his bow. He spun out a match, lighting it and setting the tip of his arrow on fire, currently holding it in his mouth as he prepares three more between the fingers of his right hand. He lit the three on fire by moving them past the flame of the arrow in his mouth. He pulled one arrow back, still holding the other two in his hand, the last still in his mouth.

Ren spun halfway around, shooting the arrow before looking, hitting a target in the center. He threw both of the arrows in his hand in the air, taking the one from his mouth and shooting it upwards, hitting another. He caught one arrow with the bow, immediately firing it to his left. He flipped backwards, catching the fourth arrow midair and firing while upside-down, right into a target that passed within inches of Cortana's stomach, the disc landing right next to her feet.

"Not really. I'm not one for horses, to be honest. I'll play with a little fire though." He gave his friendly laugh again, now actually having fun and forgetting about Kotori going missing for a little while.

Cortana watched as he shot off arrows one after another, not even flinching as one passed by her stomach. She laughed lightly, taking the burnt match from him. "It's funny how you humans have to use a match to light something on fire." She joked, taking out one of her arrows. She snapped her fingers and the tip engulfed in blue fire. "You see, this color is much prettier." She said.

She smiled and pulled out two more, putting them both on the same string as the other. They all caught fire and she fired all at once, the first hitting one target, the second hitting another and the third, splitting the second arrow in half and ultimately setting the target on fire. She smiled and snapped her fingers, the fire extinguishing.

"Well, I'm not magic, y'know. Well, I'd like to take the time to try out something..." He pulls out ten arrows, all held in his right hand. "This might kill me, by the way. Feel free to prepare some bandaging in the event I get filled with arrows." He fired four arrows in different directions, then fired a second set right after, knocking the first set of arrows at an odd angle where they strangely started to fly back at himself. He took his two remaining arrows, the four colliding as the two in front and left of him, and the two in back and right of him, sending them splitting off to the sides and barely avoiding his head. Then, the one of his left and the one behind collided, same with the other two.

The four arrows were all sent back outward diagonal from Ren, in four different directions once more. He pulled out his last two arrows, shooting them both up one after the other. The second split the first midair, the pieces of the first being knocked to the sides, hitting four targets flying next to one that the second hits, the other eight arrows having hit targets themselves. "How's tha-" He's cut off by finding one piece of the split arrow falling in his shoulder, though not very deep. "Dang..." He puts his hand around the arrow piece, about to pull it out despite bleeding a little.

Cortana walked over and put a hand on his shoulder. She smiled. "Not all of us can be superhuman." She said to him, kissing his head gently. "Want some bandages?" She asked him, rubbing his other shoulder gently.

Ren's friend stared. His friend clearly knew Cortana was staying with Ren, but the kissing? It was too much for him. Ren'd gone from the one kid nobody paid attention to, to the one who could pull off amazing stunts with arrows and swords, as well as 'had a girlfriend'. "Ahhh!!! Ren, what the hell man!? First you suddenly go from useless to extremely skilled with a sword, pick up a bow and randomly shoot like you've been shooting your whole life, then you get a girlfriend!? Dammit, how the hell'd you get all of that in just a month!?" Ren pulled out the quarter piece of the arrow, looking back at his friend as he freaked out. "Haha, the best kind of bandage'd have to be seeing that hilarious scene. I'd still like some real bandages though, if you don't mind." He laughs a little more before the pain starts to kick in, though he doesn't show it much.

Cortana smiled, giggling at him. "Alright, I'll see if I can find some." She said, stepping away from him. She gave a wave towards his friend before turning towards the people on the outside, only to find them staring in awe at her. She blushed, her cheeks turning silver as she hurried out of the room.

While waiting, Ren decided to go over to the weapons rack and put away his bow. He walked in the direction Cortana headed, holding his hand firmly to his shoulder to keep the blood from escaping his shoulder too much.

Cortana found some bandages after finding the nurses office. She came walking back, only to see that he was walking towards her. She smiled and walked a bit more forwards, smiling. "Alright, but I think you need to move the cloth on your shoulder for me to bandage it." She said lightly.

Ren moved his hand, which now had a little blood on it. He took his shirt off, allowing for bandaging to be placed over his wound. His best friend was watching from afar, extremely jealous that Ren has Cortana. Ren looked back in his friend's direction, just barely too late to see him before he hid from sight. He was actually turning his slightly red face away to keep her from seeing him blush.

Cortana smiled and began wrapping up his shoulder gently. She let out a small laugh as she noticed his blush. She kissed his cheek gently before continuing with bandaging his shoulder. She finished soon, tying the ends together. She smiled, backing up a bit. "There, all done." She whispered, smiling at him.

Ren blushed a little more from Cortana's kiss. Meanwhile, Ren's best friend was starting to give up on ever getting a girlfriend because of all this. He moved his shoulder around a little before smiling as well. "Thanks. I don't know what I'd do without you." He laughed a little to show it was a joke. He didn't want her to think he was incapable of doing anything, though clearly showed he needed somebody watching over him, given he'd injured himself like he did.

Cortana let out a short laugh, smiling as she wrapped him in a hug. She needed to hold onto him, just for a bit, to be sure he wouldn't want her to leave, not for a second. She wanted to make sure he still cared for her. But she was sure he was still hurting deep inside, and she wanted to help a bit if she could.

Ren hugged her back immediately. He could tell she was trying to help him feel better, and that alone was enough to make him happy. "Thank you." He was smiling softly while they hugged, though Cortana being unable to see the slight mixing of a sad expression in it made him glad they were hugging. He didn't want to worry Cortana any more by letting her see such an expression. He let his face lose the bit of sad expression before they were to stop hugging, if they ever would.

Cortana stopped hugging him after a bit, looking at him. She giggled a bit and patted his head. "Come on. We should get gong soon." She said softly to him.

"Oh, just a moment." Ren snatched Cortana's bow, spinning it as he turned around and slipped an arrow away from her. He immediately shot, the arrow whizzing right past his friend's head and hitting the wall right next to him. "I'd appreciate if you weren't spying on me. It's a bit embarrassing to have somebody watching me while I'm alone with a girl, regardless of what we're doing." His friend bolted away, Ren giving Cortana the bow back before laughing a little himself. "Thanks for letting me borrow your bow." He meant that as a joking way to apologize for taking the bow without asking first.

Cortana stared at where the friend was, her cheeks going a bit silver as she thought of being watched while she did that. She let out a bit of a cough. She looked at him, and smiled. "It's alright." She said, placing her hand on his head. She laughed and took the arrow and placed it in her quiver. "Want to go home?" She asked.

Ren'd figured out by this point that silver cheeks meant Cortana was embarrassed. Ren poked her cheek lightly as he grabbed her hand that was placed on his head. He kissed the hand softly, playing gentleman. "Why of course, milady. If that is where you wish to go, I shall gladly follow." He started to laugh a little from the act he'd just put on for Cortana.

Cortana blushed even more than him, nodding lightly. She giggled and intertwined her fingers with his, pulling him closer to her body. "Let's go." She whispered.

"Alright." Ren held Cortana closely as he began walking towards the front of the school so they could be headed back home, looking quite calm and peaceful.
