[The Official RPN Character Challenge 2015]The Lobby!

Skye lifted both eyebrows in slight surprise, swallowing the last of her apple.

"So it seems this creature speaks...interesting." She whispered, standing boldly to her feet, making her way towards the creature which was seemingly at the same height she had. She folded both her arms, her expression in a stoic manner, as she glared intently at it.

Dilan wasn't one to like when people ignored him. Or when they pestered him. Or-really he just didn't like people in general which is probably why he started a lot of bar fights because of dumb things like saying his badass sideburns weren't badass. He puts a lot of care into defying physics with it.

He stood to his feet and looked down on her with his fists balled at his sides "I asked a question." He said through gritted teeth "can. I. Help. You?" He said as he glared at her eye to eye with a annoyed expression

"There is no need to. I am able to do so myself." Ignoring the main point of his question, she continues to stare at him, observing every part of his body with slight interest etched in her features.

"Are the species of your kind prominent? If so, exactly where are they....?" Her dark red eyes held no emotion, as she glared him straight in his eyes. She knew that the creature was slightly annoyed, but she nevertheless wanted answers.

@Penance

Erin couldn’t help the grin that spread across her face. Fredrick was just like a guy from a story book. ( @The Wizard ) You didn’t see this kind of polite, even among adults, and he spoke in a way that was… well the best way Erin could think to put it was ‘not condescending’. Most people, when speaking to an eleven year old, would do the whole ‘dumb it down’ speech which she couldn’t stand. And compared to some of the scarier looking folks, like the giant red bug that was wandering the area, and unlike the loud kitty people, Fredrick seemed like a ‘proper’ human being person.

“So I didn’t take a wrong turn.” Erin mumbled, feeling slightly disappointed. “I guess dad’s just going to have to wait about hearing about school.” She said, not meaning to be rude- she had just grown a habit of speaking her thoughts. Fredrick’s movement in setting his violin down pulled Erin from her thoughts, her curiosity in the instrument and its importance taking precedence until the green haired man asked his question.

“Euli!” Erin had heard of a lot of interesting names in her time, but Euli was a new one. ( @Dawnsx ) She looked around for a man in a cap, and saw someone who was next to a hat that had been knocked to the ground. He had pretty pink hair, and kitty ears, which made Erin immediately like him. He also looked… less scary then the other cat people- more human and approachable. If she got up the courage, she would speak to him first. “Thanks, Fred-er-rick.” Erin said, trying to pronounce Fredrick’s name properly and struggling just a little. While the other man took care of his glasses, Erin thought about the question he had asked earlier- feeling bad about rushing into another question before answering his.

“I more… tripped into the white.” Erin said, fighting the urge to stare down at her pink sneakers. “I was walking through a wall to go home, and then I was here. And there were super loud voices all around.” The young girl rubbed at her chin, stroking an invisible goatee, as she thought. “They were talking about.. choosing me? And fighting? I think? I don’t really remember.” Erin felt slightly ashamed about not really knowing about the situation at hand. She felt she had stumbled across a place she shouldn’t be, but then Fredrick would have had to, too. And… well, he looked human enough and perhaps he had dyed his hair the pretty shade of green but… he didn’t seem from Erin’s life really. "Fredrick?" Erin said, wanting to ask the next question on her mind and finding it continually easier to talk to the other man. "What kind of songs do you like to play on your violin?"

Upon hearing his name being mentioned, Euli's ears twitched and turned around. A delighted gasp escaped his lips when he saw an endearing young girl next to Fredrick, and he was upon her in seconds. He knelt down in front of her and looked at her with adoring eyes. It wasn't often that he got to be so close to children after he moved to Castille. Even when he was still living in Mora's Forest, most kittens were sheltered by the older Werecats until they were old enough to fend for themselves. It was a huge shame, since kids were able to wear any clothing they desired and still look adorable.

"Hey there, I'm Euli. And who might such a cute girl be?" Euli greeted kindly, his tail swishing in pure joy behind him. He reached out a hand to stroke the girl's hair, but retracted it when he remembered just what he might inflict on her. Instead, he smiled brightly at her and waited for a reply.

@RubyRose

fred12_zpsmuzo0yny.jpg
The girls reaction and almost quick change of topic was expected thought still a bit much to Fredrick. Still for someone who looked barely above nine or maybe eleven but less than thirteen, Fredrick wasn't exactly sure of her age, she seemed brighter than most children. It reminded him how he was at that age. Erin's (@RubyRose) curiosity was never ending it seemed as he followed the gaze of others in the room, if anything it was a breath of fresh air in a room that seemed stifled in tension. Her gaze on his violin and her question left him a bit happy as he let a smile escape "Oh it varies on the mood you could say after all I like to think music never stays in one form." chuckling a little at the thought of the notes more like water drops than stiff forms of style.

Was then that Euli (@Dawnsx) had popped back taking an amazing interest in the young girl. His eyes resembled that of the merchants selling their wares, playing with like she was a doll. Fredrick was still curious about his attire but considering his conversation it would seem Euli favored others more than his own. Perhaps a tailor trade was his craft...though the thought of the pink haired man in a bonnet as a seamstress was a bit amusing and scary at the same time. Tucking his hands into his cloak Fredrick simply waited for the two to greet glad to see that so far there was no animosity in the air of this little party.

Ryou Hayashi

He lived for over five centuries and he had to deal this type of junk. The fox spirit ruffled his hair in frustration, surely getting chased by hunters would be better than what he was dealing with so far-

He yelped when he felt a sting erupt through his ear and looked over his shoulder to see a little fox scamper away. Ryou narrowed his eyes, hissing.

"You bitch." That was it. He couldn't deal with any of this anymore. He was going to go all out and throw this place upside down until he could get back to the Forest. Ryou took after the little creature, his rage only building up when he was met with the same man who had called him a dwarf. He skidded to a stop, taking just a brief moment to look at the lad and let out a sarcastic laugh. Then he tackled at the man, grabbing the lad's ear and pulling it as he growled, "I will fucking murder your soul if you don't control your annoying pet."

Ryou huffed, keeping his bangs from interfering his line of vision while he glared at Whitey. "And watch your mouth. I'll tear your gums apart if you diss me like that again."

@SilverBlack (with granted permission)

When Rudy received the nod from the thing (@SilverBlack ) he felt he made the right choice in coming over to this side. Nods of greeting seemed normal enough. Now, Rudy was skeptical on the normalness of everything around here, but maybe it would be safe to assume the thing to be a normal guy. One of then few optimistic thoughts he had had in the past twenty four hours, that maybe this guy was more of a guy than a thing. Why a thing? Well Colton looked like a guy but was actually a star thing. This came with the result of assuming everything in the dreamscape are things. And can talk. Though... having a pet fox was a little weird. Fox whisper maybe?

So now, being on the hopefully safe side, the wet teenager stopped by the duo. Looking from the old lady, (@CloudyBlueDay ) to the fox guy. Well, he figured now was a ripe point to ask a question. They both seemed calm enough, maybe they could give him some directions. Or something.

But, lo and behold, the apparent peace of this side was broken as a... a... correction, this thing was certainly a fox whisperer and perhaps a kindred spirit ( @Aiakaos ) However... Rudy just watched the scene with pursed lips this time... Well... it certainly wasn't as threatening as giant cat monsters. And Rudy surely could emphasize with the whole murdering souls and gum tearing sentiment on a variety of occasions. But still... it had unwittingly interrupted his attempt to potentially get some answers.

First, however, he looked at at the old lady, "Is this normal here?" He asked her dryly. Apparently tackling people here was akin to a friendly greeting. It would be nice knowing if that was the case here too before he decided or not to boot stomp the fox whisperers head to save the head nod guy. Or to not...to... Oooooooh... he was going to kill Aria for putting him into this migraine inducing confusing as fuck mess...

The sudden sense of pain of having his ear pulled caused Leo to gasp, his eyes widened suddenly in surprise, his eyebrows twitched slightly in displeasure. Then, he noticed it's Ryou from earlier, the Foz Spirit, with his low growl of anger, telling him to control his pet. Leo blinked for a moment, finally noticing Eldo growling at him, before he let out a sigh, seemingly understanding the situation. "I'm sorry, you must've done something to piss him off," he said soothingly, his expression resumed to his usual blankness. "Eldo, I told you before you need to control your temper." (@Aiakaos )

Eldo let out a tiny little cry in return, then a wince, its fox ears casting downward as if depressed. Leo blinked, he has thought before that Ryou and Eldo might be able to go along well, but it appeared rather that they'll make great enemies. He frowned, then, in his mind he silently complained that there are better ways of dealing with a problem rather than the violent move of tackling and pulling at the other's ear. "I apologize for him. He would stay with me now....May I get up now?" No agitation, no change in expression, Lep kept his temper cool and well, he has been doing that for months. Rather, he didn't know much how to react. Should he apologize further? Should he kneel down? What do you do when your pet caused someone else troubles? For Leo, to whom in his original world has just left the forest to travel not for the longest time, has not yet faced different problems, for examples such as this one, to know how to deal with.

He then noticed the lad who just came over, who stared as Ryou tackled him with pursed lips and asked Sapphire if it is normal here. In reaction, he simply managed to stretch out a hand while still being tackled. "Ah, my name is Leo Cainez, nice to meet you." Perhaps it's because he's quite the airhead and not exactly reading the atmosphere, Leo decided that a proper introduction is needed no matter what situation he's in right now, while Sapphire answer the lad's question. (@CloudyBlueDay ) He has no expression on his face, but his meaning is sincere. It is better to get to know more people in a confusing situation such as this. (@KingHink )

Erin listened to Fredrick’s rather vague explanation on the music he played(@The Wizard), though his eyes still seemed to light up as he spoke of the music. She wondered if he played anything like the way her mother had. That was shoved to the back of her mind as Euli came over, the cat eared person crouching down to her level. At his question, Erin’s face darkened a couple shades and she began to rock back and forth on her toes in a mixture of embarrassment and happiness.

“My name’s Erin.” She said quietly, her shyness taking over in full force for a moment. It passed quickly when she saw the movement of Euli’s tail, acting very cat like in the way it moved back and forth. It strangely calmed her, to see such a natural reaction even though it was on a human instead of a cat. Mistaking the reach out of the hand, Erin grasped it in both of hers and gave it a rather enthusiastic shake in greeting. (@Dawnsx)

“You know, I’ve read about dragons and saw Hippogriffs and Unicorns before, but I’ve never heard of a cat person.” Erin said honestly. “Did you come out of a storybook, too? Like Frederick?” She asked, wondering if maybe this was some kind of ‘fairy tale come to life’ thing. Because, of course, outside of Hogwarts she had read stories about cat people and had rather loved the idea, but she hadn’t found anything concrete on their being real in any of the books at Homework. Closest she had come to was werewolves; and they terrified her.

Click clack click clack.

The sound of footsteps echoed in the dim alleyway. It was almost lunchtime. The sun was high and the day was bright, but in the place that's flanked by two tall buildings, the light barely reached the ground. Being dark and devoid of the prying eyes, the alleyway was a perfect place to commit many kind of crime. And in the city with such a high crime rate as Upland, it was a favorite spot to commit crimes. It's certainly not an ideal place for a young woman with a sliver of self-preservation to go.

Yet a certain young woman still ran into there.

'But I have a damn good reason to come to here' was what probably the young woman said if she heard about these commentaries. Judging from the situation Angkasa was in now, she had a point. The rumbling steps of several people could be heard not far behind her. She was being chased. By a not-so-good group of people.

After all, what kind of good people record scenes of someone committing suicide for fun?

A recording that she happened to steal from those people, by the way. The very reason why they were after her right now. Four against one, Angkasa was clearly outnumbered. The nearest crowded place was too far away, the police station even more. So the best thing she could do was to get them off of her back through this maze-like alleyway. Taking sharp twist and turn at every intersection, she was succeed in confusing her chasers so far. But unbeknown to her, she was about to face something far more dangerous than her current condition.

'You have been chosen by the Gods...'

Asa grasped the top of the fence and pulled herself up to the other side of it, too preoccupied in her attempt to escape to hear the voice.

.'..to participate in an almighty set of trials.'

She landed on her two feet almost without a sound. The voice made her turned her head around. It came from everywhere, yet she saw no one. Trial?

'Win, and you will earn the ultimate glory. Lose, and you will disappoint us.'

Win? Lose? Disappoint?

'Good luck, challenger!'

Challenger? But I never-

Before she could voice any protest, her surroundings blurred into white void. For a moment the feeling of panic grasped her mind. But it's quickly squashed by her more rational side. Wait. Wait to see what will happen... She convinced herself. As she stayed there, with tense posture and eyes fully alert of the environment around her, the void slowly morphed into something else. A spacious room. She blinked as the view around her became clearer. The asphalt beneath her had been replaced with smooth tiles. What used to be a concrete walls beside her was now a sleek glass pane, giving a view of endless void beneath them. It momentarily captivated her, but she knew in the realm of the unknown, it's never good to lost focus on what around her. So she turned around. A modern lobby, she thought about the view before her, luxurious. Her footsteps were quiet as she walked further inside the lobby, the tip of her fingers traveled on the glass balustrade as she observed other people on the other side of the room. They were such...an unusual sight. Some people looked like a normal human, but the others exhibited several animal traits. Like those with fox ears and tails...or those with horns...or those that the only resemblance with human is that they're bipedal.

...Are they people who were 'chosen by the Gods'? Icy blue eyes keep looking at the other challengers as she question this. Chosen for what? What kind of trial? What's the objective? What will happen if we 'disappoint' them?

As if answering her question, another voice boomed from the entrance.

The apologies from Whitey went in and out of his ears as he fumed with anger. It only made it worse when the lad dared to introduced himself to another human. Whitey was being tackled down yet he was trying to make friends with ease. Ryou raised an arm, ready to throw a punch at the lad's face only to freeze before even making the action.

What was the point?

Ryou silently dropped his arm and stood up, looking down at Whitey before backing away from the lad with his eyes still glazed with anger. Without another word, the spirit turned around and walked to the couches laid about the lobby, picking an empty one to plop down on. Thankfully they were made out of soft material, letting him get comfortable on the cushions with no problem.

He wouldn't gain anything from beating the life out of a human, much less one who didn't even seem to have any sort of emotion. Whitey was just ridiculously calm, he didn't want to deal with such an opposite personality anyway.

Ryou turned on his side making his back, or rather his tails, face the other beings. It was only until he placed his head down onto the pillows that his eyes softened, they gazed out of the glass windows into the blank void he had woken up to.

Is this what they called a burnout? Was it possible to get tired from being angry? Or was it because of the stress?

But it didn't matter now. Not when he was too busy missing the company of the trees. He missed the warmth of the sunlight, the scent of the sweet flower fields, songs of the birds, even the City. He missed the thrill of stealing precious possessions and staying to watch how the humans would react once he did his job.

Ryou blinked, his eyes slipping out of their daze as he felt the sash that held his kimono together. He reached inside, pulling out a golden watch he had stolen recently, before he was...here. The spirit stared at the watch, patting his sash again to make sure of something else. A sense of relieve washed over him when he felt the bell collar safely tucked away in the sash folds. He still had something to remind him of home and of who he was there. He let out a sigh and curled his fingers around the wristwatch, holding it close as he went back to staring out into the blank void through the glass windows.

He had to be sent here for a reason. He just didn't know why or what for. And he wasn't going to buy the whole "face a set of trials" bullshit from a voice that claimed to be the Gods.

Lyon looked at the rapidly escalating and complicating scenarios with confusion. Kallin was now talking to someone else, who it seemed he knew? Lyon couldn't be sure. Seeing a newcomer, he drifted towards her, hoping to start some kind of conversation. The young woman looked a fair bit younger than him, but reminded him of his sister. She seemed as confused as, well, anyone else here. Except for those disturbing few who seemed genuinely happy. Not the friendly, excited kind of happy. The psychopathic, scary kind of happy. Not people Lyon was too keen on going up against. Looking up at the woman, he saw her begin talking to someone else. He casually raised his voice a little. "Yeah, it seemed a little weird to me too. But I was in the sky in the middle of nowhere before, and the pressure's lower here, so that's probably what I noticed." He sauntered towards the two, or at least, he tried to. Honestly, he didn't really know if he could pull off sauntering. He knew he wasn't good at "casual", and sauntering kinda fitted that profile. "Ah well." He thought. "Just roll with it.",he told himself as he approached the pair with a smile.

Rudy was immediately granted a glare from the older lady, who was apparently as happy about being asked stupid questions by sopping wet decidedly emo kids as Rudy himself would have been. And apparently she seemed about as unamused by all of this as he was.(@CloudyBlueDay has granted me permission to say such things) Upon recieving the glare, the teenagers look turned to that of annoyance. Bitch... fine, be that way. "Careful, dear, a look like that makes your wrinkles show." He said in as dry a manner as all his comments before this one. He didn't actually see any wrinkles, but he doubted she would be happy to hear such a thing mentioned.

He was however, distracted from Sapphires glares by the absolutely unbelievable events that began to happen between the fox whisperer(@Aiakaos ) and the head nod guy.(@SilverBlack ) What came next was a slew of apologies and blankness that he could barely wrap his head around. Strangely enough... this did appear to be a normal thing. Head nod guy didn't seem to care in the least about being tackled and tugged at, and fox whisperer seemed to have lost all his stride and seriousness halfway through and just sort of... gave up? What? What? What sort of friggin code conduct deigned that such social practices had any such place in interactions? Everyone here was bat-shit crazy.

To add to it, head nod guy, whose name was supposedly "Leo", oh so casually extended a hand in greeting despite his recent glomping. Rudy was... perplexed, to say the least. What the hell... Rudy left the cold faced guy hanging for a few moments, as he watched the fox whisperer get up and...walk away? Shaking his aching head, the teenager did about the only thing that could match the insanity of the situation. He reach out his own hand to cautiously shake the hand of Leo. Repercussions out the window, now, he went ahead and even gave the guy his own name. "Rudolph." He introduced rather blunty."A pleasure... I think." That was actually to be determined. At the moment... he was actually leaning strongly to finding a nice quite spot to hide, in effort to avoid the traditional tackle-greeting of this freak-fest.

Outbreak felt someone inhale a large amount of his virus pathogens. Sure they were harmless, floating around in the air, but that didn't mean Outbreak couldn't use them to better understand his surroundings. He figured that the supposed 'gods' of this place restricted his powers. Then his eyes shot over to the first person to speak to him since he's arrived. "You've got a sensitive body in order to have spotted out my virus in the air... smart girl," Outbreak said, smirking at her comment. He stood up and walked over to her, grinning a little too widely. "My name is Barry Graves... or Outbreak, but please. Call me Outbreak," he said, not wanting to reflect too much about his original name. It reminded him too much of who he was before. Shoving all those thoughts aside, he raised a hand in greeting to the girl, still smiling wildly in glee at the sight of someone who was able to notice is normally discreet virus. Usually when floating in the air harmlessly, they were discreet... but if they weren't... well yeah, they weren't so discreet then.

@ViAdvena

"Rudolph," Leo repeated the name to himself, and automatically transferring the name to Rudy so it's easier to call. "....I....Apologize I have to introduce myself that way, it doesn't usually happen," he said after, apologizing again for his awkward introduction when being tackled. This is the first time he apologizes so much, although half of it is from Eldo. He let out a sigh then, studying the lad in front of him, who seemed to be tense up from all the previous actions. Is he supposed to have a change in expression, so show that he's actually really not harmful? Leo didn't want to force himself to fake his expression, and he ended up being blank as usual as he decided to calmly explained the situation. "Eldo...This is my pet fox," he tilted his head to his side, where Eldo laid and gave Rudy a little yelp in greeting. "He..caused some troubles, and Foxy got mad, so I got tackled." He nodded to himself, wishing the other would understand his terrible explaining skill.

He then glanced over to Ryou as he mentioned him, who has walked away, seemingly done with all the shits that he has given him. Eldo let out a little guilty wince, and that's when Leo noticed that the bite mark that remained on Ryou's ears is still on him. Realizing how hard Eldo had bitten him that left a mini wound there Leo only calmly stated. "Eldo, no dinner for you tonight okay?"

Eldo let out a little cry before Leo suddenly lift the fox up from his shoulder and placed it onto the floor. "Now go apologize too."

Everyone here is confused, they are just randomly brought here, yet conflicts are already happening. Leo wouldn't like that to happen, he's pretty sure Ryou felt frustrated too. Leo didn't have much experiences of having friends or any sort of things like that, neither did he has an exact home he could miss or stay with. Therefore, he couldn't really understand what Ryou or Sapphire or many other people might be feeling. The least he could do is stay in good terms with all of them.

He watched as Eldo obeyed his words and cautiously walked over to Ryou, before he turned around to face Rudy and Sapphire again. It looks like all three of them are humans here. "Where do we each come from?" He asked in plain curiosity. "I'm...From Lysan...A magical island. It's considered....Historical Fantasy." The word suddenly popped up in his head, he didn't even know how or what it meant. Is this what he's labelled as when he got thrown into this world? He wondered. (@CloudyBlueDay @KingHink )

Meanwhile, Eldo sneakily found its way below Ryou's feet. For once, the Fox Spirit looked gigantic when viewed from below. He let out a little yelp to grab his attention before his fox ears coasted extremely downward again.

"I apologize for wounding your ear, I didn't mean to," the tiny fox said weakly in fox language. "I just wanted to grab your attention so you can come to Leo and perhaps...Have a little bonding time, like, friends. Leo may be weird in expressions but he's actually a really nice person!" He looked up with teary eyes. "Leo said no dinner for me, so you can eat my fish instead. My fish is tasty! It's from the Ocean near the Forest." He mumbled, the fact that Leo could not possibly go buy some fish of the ocean near the forest now that they're in this strange place failed to occur in his tiny little brain.

"Leo told me that in difficult times, people have to stick together. So let's make up and be friends too!" Suddenly, Eldo yelped cheerfully, then he stick out his tiny little arm towards Ryou for a handshake. (@Aiakaos )

Ryou Hayashi

The spirit closed his eyes for a moment, trying to keep himself from bursting into wild flames as his peace was disturbed, by that same little fox.

Ryou's ear twitched when he heard the words 'ocean' and 'forest'
, his bitten ear had already healed due to his healing abilities. Too bad he couldn't heal how worn out he felt from all of the happenings ever since he arrived at this place. Of course, he figured that the little critter would come from a similar environment. The spirit glanced down at the little fox, his eyes had drawn to a blank stare, possibly because his care and worries were drifting away. He looked back to the blank void that matched with his expression thus far.

"I'll burn you alive if you don't go away." But yet, his voice resonated with plain disgust, kind of like the voice of his thoughts when he encountered people in Castille. As it would be a natural chain reaction, his hand that held the golden watch ignited with flames once more, somehow corresponding with the emotion in his voice."A fox acting like a human, what a disgrace."

Naturally, the object started to melt against the heat of the flames as Ryou looked down at the fox once more, "Listen here, if you think that you can make me do whatever you want go look somewhere else."

The flames started to die out as he let out a sigh when he held up the watch, raising an eyebrow that certainly did not match with his dull eyes when he saw that the watch stayed perfectly fine, as if it shaped back from being molten. Well, he did have a knack for stealing prized objects back at Castille City. This type of fireproof watch was just a small piece of evidence that proved his sense. His ear twitched as he recalled the little fox's jumpy behavior.

"Anymore funny business from you, such as snatching this watch, I'll kill you. I'm going to make sure that your human returns without you forever. So don't bother me again."

The last thing he wanted to deal with was a itty bitty fox trying to boss him around and take his watch that let him remember his prideful work. It was already hilarious that the fox offered him to eat his food. Him, eating food handed from a little critter that treated him like that? Not a chance. Friends, what a joke.

He didn't need friends.

Euli's body stiffened for a short moment when the girl took his hand and shook it eagerly, still not quite prepared for contact with a human yet. Be just a little too careless, and he might just accidentally scratch the girl. They may be from different worlds, but who knows if the disease can still be transmitted? The last thing he wanted was to turn anyone here into violent beasts. He relaxed a little though when the girl introduced herself as Erin.

"What a lovely name for a lovely girl."
He beamed. Upon being asked whether he came from a storybook, Euli tilted his head in thought. Werecats don't have storybooks, that's for certain, but he was sure that he has seen a couple of storybooks in Castille from shop windows. Among them, he remembered that one of them had a prince and and princess drawn on the cover. Both were wearing incredibly elegant clothes that Euli could only dream of wearing. With a chuckle, he replied, "I wish I did come from a storybook so I could wear all those beautiful clothes that they have." He glanced at Fredrick with a grin. "But I sure didn't know that Fredrick was from a storybook. He must have many tales to tell us about."

@RubyRose @The Wizard

Erin wondered for a moment if she was going to end up with a permanent blush after this. Euli's compliments had a silly grin across her face, and for a second she couldn't help but stare at the floor.

"T-Thanks." She finally managed to stammer out, glancing up at Euli bashfully. She was rocking back and forth on her toes again, waiting for the response on whether or not Euli was from a storybook. When he said that he wished he was, Erin nodded but was a little disappointed that her theory hadn't panned out. And in being wrong, if it were possible, her blush darkened even further. "W-Well... Frederick never said he was. I just... well I thought so because've how he's dressed and talks and stuff. And your so beautiful, I thought you were too." She said, glancing over at Fredrick a moment, before her attention returned to Euli. She nervously tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

"I guess... well I was thinking that maybe we all came from storybooks and this is a place where all the storybooks can come together." She attempted to explain. It was the only way she could comprehend what was going on, really. And it had made sense to her, but if Euli hadn't come from a story book then that disproved her whole thought. "I bet Frederick does have a bunch of stories, though. Right Frederick?" (@The Wizard) Erin asked, looking over at him. "Would you tell us a story? About where you come from? And your music?!" Erin had a special love for music thanks to her mom, and that made her have a special appreciation of Fredrick because he could play.

"And you have stories, too, right Euli?" (@Dawnsx)Erin said, her attention going back and forth between Fredrick and Euli. She wondered what their lives were like, what their families were like... what it must be like to be them. She would have so many stories to tell her dad once she got back home about pink haired cat people and green haired musicians... it would sound like she had been in a story to Eric, she was sure.

Sapphire clenched her teeth together, growling a bit. One had was now tightly wrapped around the hilt of one of her swords. "I know we're supposed to have some sort of competition. I heard that." She muttered. At the mention of where he had come from, Sapphire raised an eyebrow. "A fucking magical island?" She scoffed. Now all hope of him be a slightly normal human was lost. This guy was obviously insane. "Um. I'm from earth." She growled. (@SilverBlack)

Suddenly the guy picked up a fox, introducing it as Eldo. Well then. He was obviously insane. "Great.. I love foxes.." She mumbled. Sapphire barely paid attention to another person who walked over. (@KingHink) She was just staring at Leo, as he patted the fox. Then, someone with fox ears appeared, swearing and yelling about the fox Leo was holding. (@Aiakaos) He grabbed his ear and started shouting. Sapphire stepped back. "Is this normal here?" That new person said. It was the emo kid who was soaking wet. "I just got here two minutes ago." Sapphire said to him, glaring at the boy without even noticing. Sapphire was just in a glare-y mood. Everyone here was probably a bunch of wackjobs.

"Careful, dear, a look like that makes your wrinkles show." This made Sapphire's eyes widen. "Watch your mouth, asshole." She retorted, just about ready to pull out her sword, but she refrained. Sapphire wasn't about to go slashing at a kid. She was better then that. However, this person, Rudy, as he introduced himself to Leo, was definetly treading on thin ice.

Leo began to reintroduce himself, telling his fox there would be no dinner and labeling himself as from a world of 'Historical Fantasy.' Okay then. The guy who had grabbed Leo's ear kept on yelling, but Sapphire said nothing, not wanting to get into it. Then the fox began yipping in his ear. God. This was so insane.

Dilan glared at the girl and crossed his arms "what's it to you human..?" He said in a disgust tone "you'll be dead before you find out about us...." In his world all humans had died and bugs took over. But seeing as there are plenty of humans..? here he figured they were from a different timeline not a different world. What can he say he's a simple guy time travel seems more likely to him. "Now I'll ask one more time.....what do you want??"

@Dark Child

"Quite interesting indeed and a bit too cocky for an insect." Skye narrowed her dark red eyes at the fire ant, unfazed by his threat, as she backed away a few distances away from him, simply from his disrespectful tone.

"Dead, you say...? I see...whatever trials we are to face, let us see who would be the first to die..." Her eyes gave him a blank stare as she took out an apple and bit it, savouring the juices which poured freely from it.

I excused myself from the room, feeling uncomfortable being left alone with two girls. Granted, one was badly hurt, and the other was... Shaking my head, I felt a blush creep on my cheeks as I remembered our first meeting. That was so embarrassing I thought, mentally cringing. Well, at least that should have taken down her suspicion a notch or two. I headed outside, going straight to the first bench in my line of sight. Thankfully there was no one else on it. Sitting down, I let out a sigh before going into mission mode. I had successfully infiltrated the Rosa family and made(?) "friends" here. People are suspicious but that can't be helped, I'll just have to get rid of those suspicions later. For now, my mission was just to gain their trust and relay information back to my boss.

"You have been chosen by the Gods..."

Wait what?
I looked around, my hand reaching for the daggers hidden in my clothes.

"to participate in an almighty set of trials..."

Spotting no one, I tensed up. The person speaking was pretty skilled in hiding.

" Win, and you will earn the ultimate glory. "

My brows furrowed in confusion. What am I supposed to win? What ultimate glory?

"Lose, and you will disappoint us. Good luck, challenger!"

"This isn't funny I muttered as my unease grew. Suddenly I felt like I falling. Quickly I readied myself so that I would on my feet. My vision blurred a bit as I fell into a strange darkness but cleared soon.

I was now in a room full of strange and unusual...people? Animals? There was a huge variety of lifeforms in the room and I didn't know what to make of it. A brownish-yellowish tail came into my view. Turning I saw that I was near a... fox-human? No, what do they call them...Fox ghost? No..Fox spirit? Yea Fox spirit!

My eyes brightened in awe as I took in this magical creature, hardly able to believe that what I was seeing was real. They actually exist! I gotta tell boss!

Boss. That thought brought me back to reality. My mission was at stake, the Rosa family would be suspicious of my disappearing and my cover would be blown.

The tail came into my vision again.

Its so...FLUFFY! I want to pet it, I really want to pet it! Fluffy tail!

I shook my head mentally, this was no time for tails...Unable to resist the urge I peeked at the Fox spirit again.

FIVE FLUFFY TAILS!! AND FLUFFY EARS

No. I'm 17, I'm not a kid.

Fluffy...

Okay, I am a kid.

I turned to the Fox spirit( Who looks slightly annoyed now that I look at him ) and asked politely,

"Excuse me, could you possibly inform me of my current location? I was...whisked here and I don't know how or why."

"But, but," Eldo cried from below. "We will make great friends," he pouted, taking back his tiny little hand. "It's okay if you don't want to approach Leo yet, but at least we can start getting friendly with each other with some friendly little chat!" Eldo chirped happily. "Before you can roast me into some cooked meat with your fire that is...So let's start with, do you like fish? cause I love fish." The little fox patiently sat down on the floor, delighted, before suddenly, another male approached Ryou, his eyes seemingly shining when he saw the fluffy tail the Fox Spirit has.

Although the male looks harmless when he asked Ryou for where he is, Eldo is still alerted. "Uh-oh! Foxy Buddy, that stranger wants to harass your fluffy foxy tail!" He barked around in fox language. (@Aiakaos )

Leo blinked upon hearing Sapphire's response as she replied that she's from Earth. He's from Earth too, just a magical island on Earth. For a moment, he didn't understand why Sapphire is so alerted, and looked as if she has just heard the most ridiculous thing ever when he told her that he's from a Magical Island. He looked around him, seeing his fox trying real hard to communicate with the Fox Spirit, before looking back at Sapphire.

He wanted to say something, but he didn't know what to say. He has never been treated like he's insane before. What should he do? Perhaps, he should explain patiently.

"I think...We all came from different worlds, sent here by a weird voice who called himself God. In my world, Fox Spirits and Werecats were only legends in storybooks. Assuming the way you act...Fantasy world probably only exists in storybooks for your world too." Leo paused carefully, his hand resting on his chin, thinking of what to say, looking rather solemn. "Although it appears insane that right now, um, a guy who randomly said he's from some type of fantasy world is trying to explain something that's out of your logic...Regarding there's so many different lifeforms here, I believe it's better if you get used to the...weirdness, right now."

Leo pointed to his inhuman yellow eyes, "For example, I believe only Fantasy World has people with such eyes as this," he then pointed to the Werecats and Fox Spirit. "And if they're just wearing and cosplaying as foxes and cats, the ears and tails shouldn't be twitching and wagging so naturally like this." Leo is trying his hardest to explain that they're not insane right now. Probably, after all this is over, he's just going to resume to his own little quiet world where he talks to nobody and remains silent for nearly everything.

But now, he wants to be confident. For once, his blank expression breaks into that of a small smile. "Please believe me, we're not insane. The very fact you got magically teleported here into this weird lobby is magical itself." He looked toward Rudy. "May you help me prove to her that we're not insane?" (@CloudyBlueDay @KingHink )

Dilan was getting ticked off at her so he decided to drop before he kills someone before the tournament even starts. He went back to his seat and sat down grumbling "little punk I'll show you......" He pulled out a tick head from his pocket and munched on it and glared at her "you're gonna look awfully funny trying to win with my foot up your...." His voice trailed off as he mumbled angrily
