Athena watched as Vinnie left, whilst she leaned against the wall and letting out a low sigh. Her gaze set on the carpeted floor below her. Her mind was trying to think of the best way to do this but she was coming up short.
The girl looked up when Leo approached her. "I'm fine. It wasn't quite as bad as I thought it was going to be."Athena answered, trying to muster up a smile through the evident pain in her big brown eyes.

The girl kept her gaze on him, "You know I really like you right?" Athena voiced softly, voice cracking. She bit her lip, "I have really enjoyed spending time with you these past few months so much." She spoke, giving a small smile. Her brown eyes stared into his ocean blue ones.
"I just want you to know that I think you are an amazing person and I have loved getting to know you and being your amante." She spoke gently, letting out a sad laugh with tears beginning to pool in her eyes.

"This is so hard for me to do. I wish Vinnie wasn't so stubborn sometimes." Athena murmured a melancholy look on her face. Her eyes were laced with dread, "We have to part ways for now Leo. Again, I care for you so, so much. You've been the best boyfriend ever. I couldn't have asked for a better first lover." She phrased, tears now falling down her face but still trying to muster up a sweet smile to Leo. She sniffled, leaning in to Leo and wrapping her arms around him tightly, giving him a hug.
"I don't wanna leave you." Athena mumbled. The girl was feeling the worst feeling ever at the moment.

Lucy smiled slightly when James commented that he hoped he was wrong about what would happen to Alex and Conor's relationship. Lucy peered to where James was looking and bit her lip nervously before taking in a deep breath, Lucy was going to have to be patient despite how much this girl may irk her. Watching as Conor walked through the door, Lucy wore a blank expression on her face as Alex peered around at what she was walking into. The girl seemed to already know what she was getting into, her shoulders looked tense as she stared at Lucy. Lucy said nothing as James shut and locked the door behind them. Alex's eyes locked with Conor's and she began to belittle him. Lucy's jaw clenched at this and before Conor had a chance to say anything Lucy interrupted. "He's just doing what he has to...Since Emmett isn't around to do it...the burden falls onto Conor. I hope you will be able to understand this and in time forgive him." Lucy moved to sit down at one of the tables and extended her arm out to the chair across from her.

Lucy moved to her bag that hung at her side, grabbing the pack of cigarettes she had. She opened it while staring down Alex, her expression was serious, letting the girl know that although Lucy was not going to hurt the girl, she would definitely leave with information that she needed to get her cousin back. Grabbing a cigarette, she placed it between her red painted lips. Lighting it quickly, she sucked in a breath before releasing the smoke from her lungs, a small smirk forming on her lips. "Let's get this over with. I am sure you are going to want the rest of the night to yourself, we wouldn't want to keep you here." Lucy said warmly. Right now, she was ignoring James and Conor, who she was fully aware of being in the room with them. Right now, it was just Alex and Lucy. The girl needed to be able to trust her, treating this entire thing like she was going to be used would only make it more difficult.

"Conor didn't bring you here because I want revenge, quite frankly I am over our petty little feud...I believe we are even after what happened a few months ago." Lucy was referring back to her father's death, which she unfortunately had played a huge part in. Lucy took another long inhale from her cigarette, letting the intoxicating smoke soothe her nerves as she tried to formulate an understanding with the girl. "We can't afford to loose another family member Alex, I don't know if you exactly know what your father is up to with Finn but we need your help finding out where they took him. Finn was kidnapped from this pub about an hour or so ago. That boy has no prior involvement in any of this and shouldn't have been targeted in the first place." Lucy could feel herself getting short with the girl already, though she hadn't said much. It was most likely because Lucy was ready to have Finn back.

Taking a deep breath, she flicked some of the ashes from cigarette before speaking again, this time more collected. "Do you know where your father could be hiding Finn? "

The man crouched down to Finn's eye level, and for a moment he could see more than just how broken Finn really was. An empty shell was what had been replaced with the once happy-go-lucky young man.His eyes held no emotion, no sadness could be seen. It was like someone had erased Finn entirely. All he could think about was the one way out, or at least what he believed to be the only way out of all of this. But as Vinnie suddenly stood and grabbed the gun that he had on him, Finn felt his heart jump into kickstart. His eyes widened slightly as the man aimed the gun at his skull.

Finn stayed silent, he wasn't exactly sure what he wanted anymore. His brain felt like liquid and all he could think about in that very moment was sleep. Instead of giving Vinnie an answer, Finn's head once again fell forward and his shoulders began to shake. He fell apart in front of the ruthless boss, not caring whether or not he saw him. If he was to be killed anyway, what would be the point of hiding from him...Finn was about to be nothing but a memory that would be soon forgotten.

Leo smiled when Athena said it hadn't been as bad as expected. He was relieved as he knew how strict Vinnie could be. When she started saying how much she liked him and had enjoyed their time together, his smile faded. He didn't like where he thought this conversation was going. Then she told him he was amazing whilst her eyes filled with tears, pretty much confirming his suspicions before he words had chance to.

Athena told him they had to part ways, clearly on Vinnie's command. By that point, her words about him being the best boyfriend barely even registered with him. He was too stunned and shocked by the rest of her words. He stood frozen on the spot as she hugged him, making no move to return the embrace, merely keeping his arms by his sides. He shook his head when she told him she didn't want to leave him. "Athena..." he began, voice soft as ever. He moved his arms and place his hands on her shoulders, gently pushing her back to end the embrace. "If you thought so highly of me, you wouldn't end this on Vinnie's say so. The man isn't even your real family. What did he say to you to make you do this?" he asked. By now, his own eyes were filling with tears. He thought they had something special and he'd done everything he thought she wanted him to.

Vinnie watched the young man closely Clearly, he was broken, exactly as he'd intended. Whether Finn went back to his family with his mind in a million pieces or he died in this room tonight, it would be suitable revenge. Olivia, Athena and Leo had been hurt because of the Sullivans, or so Vinnie believed, so they'd earned this.

"Why would I kill someone who is already dead?" Vinnie quietly asked Finn. "No, if you want out, you do it yourself. This is my gift to you," he said. He placed the gun in Finn's hand, before taking a few steps back to observe the young man.

Conor also turned his head when he heard the door lock, making brief eye-contact with James. He looked back to Alex, seeing the hurt within her eyes. When she accused him of being a good liar he felt his heart sink. This was it. He'd betrayed her and broken her trust. He was about to try telling her his feelings were genuine and he did love her, but Lucy spoke first. He knew to speak up in this moment could jeopardise what his sister was trying to achieve.

James remained at the back of the room, alongside Conor as Lucy spoke with Alex. He watched curiously as Lucy lit up a cigarette, remembering a time when she'd stopped smoking, but he also remembered how much she'd been through since then. He looked to Conor, seeing the guy was managing to keep his cool despite knowing his heart was breaking on the inside. Perhaps this would be the end for Conor and Alex, James would be lying if he said it wasn't for the best.

Athena bit her lip, " She listened as he said that Vinnie wasn't her real father. "I didn't want to do this." Athena spoke, hurt at the insinuation that her feelings for him weren't true. He asked what had Vinnie had said for her to end it.
The girl looked at him as he held her by her shoulders.

"When I told him what happened, he was obviously upset. But he now thinks that you can't protect me and a bad influence on me." Athena spoke, trying to brush tears away but more kept falling.
"I've tried to reason with him but he just won't budge about it. He said that you're too safe and that it's dangerous." The girl spoke with a sigh. "I really have no choice Leo. He may not be my father but he's acted like he is for most of my life. Maybe his mind will change once he sees that I'm not a little girl anymore and I can protect myself." Athena voiced in a soft tone.

Her eyes caught sight of his own tearful eyes and it broke her heart. Athena lowered her gaze, finding it too painful to look him in the eyes. Her curls covered her dreadful face.

"We can still be friends like before. " Athena spoke, her heart palpitating. She knew it wouldn't ease the pain at all. Thena looked at Leo, wondering what he was thinking in that head of his.
The girl appreciated the man that was in front of her very much and she wanted to make things work but Vinnie certainly wouldn't approve on the two continuing their relationship.
The young woman focused on him, "I'll understand if you don't want to though." she murmured, voice laced with sadness.
By now, her eyes were just a bit watery, tears dried up and her cheeks were flushed.

Athena lightly pulled away, "I'll see you around. I guess." She murmured gently. Athena reached up, giving Leo one last kiss on his cheek before she turned away, tears falling from her face once again.
The girl made her exit from the hotel, the staff that greeted her earlier giving her worried glances. Athena sniffled, making it outside.

Her legs took her to the nearby town square, where she sat on a bench nearest took her.

Alex spun around when Lucy began to speak to her. Alex was tense anyone could see that and she was ready to fight at a moment's notice as she watched Lucy sitting down before signaling for Alex to sit across from her. It was probably a stupid idea, but her legs were weak and she didnt know how much longer she could support herself and so Alex slowly moved over and took the seat across from where Lucy was sitting. As Lucy spoke about how Alex was not here for revenge, she raised an amused eyebrow but her face dropped when she heard Finn had been taken. Shock was clear on her expression as she let Lucy's words sink in. "And instead of asking me, you bring me here and lock me inside?" Alex spoke up as she turned her head to briefly look at Conor before turning back to Lucy "Im sorry Finn was taken, but how do you know it was my family?" She asked Lucy. Alex knew it was her family that would have done this, she probably would have come to this conclusion herself, however it was still her family so she had to at least try and defend them "and I dont get told anything, as far as Im concerned Im not apart of that world anymore so I wouldnt know where to look"

Leo shook his head in disagreement throughout most of Athena's explanation about what Vinnie had said to her and that she considered him family. Leo had considered the man family, but what Vinnie had done was not something family should do. Then she suggested they could still be friends and Leo had to force himself to bite his lip. He could not be friends with her, not like it was before. He was in love with her and the only way to get rid of those feelings would be to stay away. "We can't be friends after this," he quietly told her. Athena placed a kiss on his cheek before turning away. He hated that she was leaving without giving him chance to speak up. "The only person who is a danger to you is Vinnie himself," he called out to her. They'd only been threatened because of that man's inability to let others live in peace.

Leo had intended to see Nicolo before Athena had split up with him. He couldn't possibly try to reassure his friend now, especially as he was Vinnie's own son and he would only spend the night slating the man. Leo needed a drink and he wasn't having it in this hotel bar. He rushed to the main lobby and turned to two of his members on the reception. "I'm finishing for the evening. Tell Mr Romano to go fuck himself," he uncharacteristically told his stunned staff members. They simply nodded their heads to confirm they would tell Vinnie, though perhaps omitting the last part of Leo's message.

The young man walked quickly down the street, not even sure where his feet were taking him, other than away from that heartless bastard Vinnie. He eventually set his eyes upon a bar and went inside. He headed straight to the bar to order a drink. "Scotch. Double, please," he flatly asked the barman. As he waited for his drink to be poured, he turned to his left to see Lorenzo next to him already having a drink. He knew the man as Vinnie's cousin, so let out an exhausted sigh. In his present mood, he was feeling too stubborn to find another bar. He'd been at some family meals with Lorenzo present, but hadn't shared much in terms of conversation with the man before. Hopefully that would continue. He simply gave Lorenzo a nod to acknowledge his presence.

Lorenzo had downed three glasses before he saw a vaguely familiar face walk in. He wasn’t quite sure who this man was, but he knew he was a Romano ally, and certainly attractive. He glanced from a few seats down, taking a drag as he watched the man sit. He looked distressed, which was good. Easier to pick up somone who wasn’t in their normal state. Grabbing his vodka, he made his way over to the man.

Sorry young man, but your name has escaped me. Lorenzo Romano.” He said with a nod, sitting down at the vacant seat besides the man. And his drink order was just as strong as his own, he was right about him being distressed.

This family is something else eh? I’m taking a break from it, starting tonight. What about yourself, you seem down?” Maybe it was apparent he had a few drinks already, but he couldn’t tell. His focus was on this man.

Leo handed over the cash to the barman in exchange for his drink. As he brought the glass to his mouth he saw out of the corner of his eye that Lorenzo was approaching. He swallowed some of the whisky before placing the glass down on the bar and turning to Lorenzo, who was now seated next to him.

"Leo... Leonardo Davide," he bluntly told the man. "I know your name. You're Vinnie's cousin." At mention of the family, Leo couldn't help but nod his head in agreement. "There's no other family like it, thank God," he bitterly remarked. "I suppose it's fair to say I'm taking a break from it too. Vinnie's pretend daughter just split up with me on his command, so you won't be seeing me at any more family dinners," he explained. Leo expected anything he said about the Romanos would get back to them through Lorenzo, but he honestly didn't care anymore. Either way, he was potentially always in danger, whether from Romano enemies or Romano himself.

Lorenzo nodded at his name, remembering it now. “Yes, sadly i’m related to that bastard...” There were many things he hated about Vinnie, going way back to childhood, but there were family. And family mattered most in this world, expecially in the dangerous game the Romano’s played.

Women are a piece of work aren’t they? That’s why i’m not married... But at least you have a good out. This will only escalade more i’m afraid...” Taking a sip of his vodka, he shoved his cigarette into a ash tray on the bar. “Between the two of us, being a little light in the loafers isn’t a bad thing.” With a smirk, he tipped his glass to Leo. “To new beginnings.”

Leo Davide

Leo smirked when Lorenzo said he was related to the bastard. "Why did you come here? It's no surprise that half of his family is back in Italy after the shit he's pulled. You'd be much happier there, I'm sure." Leo knew Vinnie had done a lot for him and his father, but that didn't excuse what he'd just done now. It didn't excuse some of the things Leo knew he had done to others. He wasn't sure if he could forgive the man this time.

"I suppose it all depends on the woman. My mistake might have been falling for someone under Vinnie's control, no matter how sweet she is..." He took another drink of alcohol and listened to Lorenzo's comment about being light in the loafers. He almost choked on his drink but managed to recover himself quite well. He turned to the man and returned his smirk. "I wouldn't know about that, Lorenzo," he remarked. Though he tipped his glass in return, he was still too hurt to consider the prospect of new beginnings.

Lorenzo chuckled softly at Leo’s reaction to his comment, as he took a sip of his drink. “I left Tuscany years ago, I do plan to return there before my death, but it’s to comfortable for me. I resided in California for most of my time in America, but... Let’s just say something happened that made it quite a unpleasant place for me...” Pushing back the thoughts of Jack, which probably wasn’t healthy, he took another drink.

You should try it sometime. Experimenting is a thrill of human nature my friend!” Clasping the man’s shoulder reassuringly, he gave Leo a warm smile. “The best ones in life take time Leo. Hold them dear, because you never know when you’ll loose them... Give her some time, if she truly loves you she’ll come back.” Jack surfaced in his mind again, his last words ringing in his head.

I’m driving up to Seattle tonight, surprising my mom. Hope you don’t mind me taking the dog, she loves her...”

Blinking, Lorenzo finished off his vodka, flagging down the bartender for another.

Lucy was particularly phased by Alex's answer, she had been expecting it after all. Lucy gave the girl an amused smile as she asked how they knew it was even her family who committed the crime. Alex had a drive, much like Sinead did, to believe anything but the truth that was going on in front of them. They wanted to live in a fantasy world where they believed everything was okay and that this war wasn't an ongoing issue. Lucy wished, to a degree, that she possessed the same feelings towards the world they lived in. But the only way to survive it was to embrace it, Lucy learned first hand that nothing would change if she ran away. Eventually Sinead and Alex would learn the same.

"You may think you aren't involved in that world anymore luv, but this is a world you really can't escape, trust me...I've tried." Lucy took another drag from the cigarette between her fingers, a distraught look settled on her features for only a moment, before disappearing altogether. "Alex, I understand, you might not know where your father keeps his victims...but you must know someone who does, someone who could lead you in the general direction. Where there is a will, there is a way."

Lucy decided to address Alex's comment about them locking her in here for questioning instead of just asking her, last. "And for the record, the reasoning behind why we brought you here the way we did is very well justified, We aren't your father...and will cause you no harm, but if you two even want to continue this.."Lucy looked between Conor and Alex. "It would certainly put the family on your side if you were to help us." It was true, Lucy wouldn't completely trust the girl, but she wouldn't mind her hanging around Conor if she were to do this for him.

Finn looked at the man numbly and didn't say another word as they just stared at each other. It seemed that Vinnie was trying to gain an intent understanding of what Finn was going through, and when he finally came to the assessment, he spoke. Finn was nothing more than a man already dead to him.. A corpse who could speak freely and walk among the living, but would never feel the same about life as he once had. Finn let the man place the gun in Finn's hand before he took a step back. Finn slowly turned his hand to observe the metal weapon that weighed heavily in his hand.

Finn's thumb smoothed over the cool metal of the handle before turning his eyes to Vinnie. A small laugh bubbled from his lips, one that was uncontrollable. The happy go lucky smile returned to Finn's lips but it was twisted somehow, not completely genuine. "I think...Mr. Romano...I would know the difference between an empty gun and a loaded gun." Finn's voice was rough, he was in desperate need of water to soothe his dry mouth. "Besides...I know what you want from me...you want me to suffer."

Leo Davide

giphy-1-gif.361113

Leo listened as Lorenzo explained about him having left Italy to live in California some years ago. It seemed like there was something the man was hiding about his time in the state that had made it unpleasant for him. He could only assume it was some dark gangster business that he really was tired of hearing about. Besides, if it was, he knew better than to dig for information. Gangsters tended to get upset if they thought someone was snooping for information about their crimes.

Leo let out an awkward laugh as he was told to try experimenting sometime, along with the man placing his hand on his shoulder. "No, I like to keep my life as stable and predictable as possible, hence why I'm not cut out to be a part of your family. Experimenting is what gets people into trouble, or killed." He shook his head when told to give Athena time. "I don't think time will help. She chose Vinnie over me, so perhaps her feelings were never as deep as she'd thought."

When Lorenzo flagged the bartender down for a drink, Leo ordered another one too. He was in no position to offer advice or reassurance, but he sensed there was something on the man's mind. The best he could do was at least just listen. "You appear troubled. What's eating you?" he curiously asked. Judging by his earlier comments and choice of drinking location, he just figured Vinnie was the source of Lorenzo's troubles too.

James wasn't sure they were going to get anywhere the way things were currently going, but he trusted Lucy would explore all avenues before needing him to suggest what he thinks would produce answers. Remaining stern-faced, he reached into his pocket to grab a cigarette, placing it in his mouth before lighting it. He put the box and lighter back into his pocket, knowing Conor didn't smoke so not offering him one. He didn't doubt Vinnie had numerous places where he kept his victims, but they needed to know which one Finn was being kept in right now. It hadn't taken Vinnie long to inflict damage on James, Lucy and Conor the night they were all tortured, so time was of the essence. Every minute that passed only extended the length or severity of the effects. Conor was still messed up from what Vinnie had done months ago and Finn was much less versed in the gangster life.

Conor kept his eyes to the floor as he listened to Alex and Lucy speak. This entire situation was tearing him apart. He wanted to set the record straight with Alex but he didn't want to reduce the severity of this situation. Finn was in trouble and his well-being was more important than Conor's love-life right now. But the way Alex had looked at him still pierced through his chest and crushed a heart that was already breaking for his cousin. He wished there was a way he could still be with Alex after this and for her to be accepted by his family.

Vinnie grinned when Finn let out his small laugh. There was something twisted about it and for some reason Finn's comment about the unloaded gun amused the man. "You're very perceptive," he simply told Finn. Vinnie stepped back towards the door, the knife still far enough out of Finn's reach for him not to have it. He switched off what light there was before stepping out of the dark room and locking the door from the outside. He was in no rush to return Finn to his family.

Vinnie returned to the hotel reception where he was informed Leo had left early. It wasn't even the slightest bit of a surprise. The man shrugged his shoulders as he decided he would give this situation time and see how it panned out. The man lit up a cigar, right now happy to just absorb the atmosphere of the guests socialising in the lobby.

Alex listened as Lucy spoke and let out a small sigh when she said she had tried to leave the gang life and failed. "Yeah I'm starting to learn that, especially after earlier" Alex stated in passing more so to herself than to anyone in the room. As the image of the cop came into her mind, rage and fear began to sink in but she quickly pushed that to the back of her mind, that was something to deal with on her own, definitely not here anyway.
"You realise you are asking me to betray my family" Alex said as she looked at Lucy before glancing back at Conor, her eyes then moved to James "I can't willingly tell you where to look when I know that you's could go there all guns blazing and kill my family" she maintained her eye contact with James as she continued to speak "they might be monsters, my father has definitely gone too far at times and he may well be the devil himself but he is still my blood and I am not signing his death warrant". Alex turned back into her seat to face Lucy, she pulled her bag onto her lap and took out her cigarettes, placing one to her lips as she lit it. She definitely needed one now and seeing Lucy smoke made her want one even more.
Knowing that the Sullivans had not attacked Olivia, Athena or Leo conflicted Alex greatly. She knew herself Finn should not have been taken and that the whole thing was unnecessary, she had a feeling where they might be but she was afraid to tell them mearly because she couldnt lose any more of her family

Lorenzo sighed, not defeated, but more of impressive gratitude. “Glad to see your not going to make a dumb descion tonight Leo...” Leo wasn’t worth working on anyways, he could pick up anyone in this bar if he wanted.

Nodding to the bartender when he brought his drink, he took a sip as he looked back to Leo. “She chose Vinnie because she wants to make sure she’s alive. People only choose Vinnie to stay alive.” Pausing briefly, he continued. “Fear is a minority of society, and Vinnie controls by fear. Once a person does not fear, one does not have control. I do not fear, so he doesn’t control me.” He had heard a Cal Berkly professor say something similar to what he said, Jack thought it was marvelous, and so did Lorenzo.

He sighed when Leo asked how he was, there were many things troubling him. “Many things young man. The love of my life is 6 feet under, i've developed reckless behavior, and I hold the power to kill a man with my words. All of it in one mind doesn’t sit to well.” That was as simple as he could put it, and this man seemed harmless enough.

Lucy's patience was beginning to falter. Time was fleeting from them, Finn could have been dead by now. This conversation was getting no where. The girl wasn't giving them any of the information they needed. Lucy had to think and act quickly. Taking a long drag of her cigarette, she thought about her next words carefully. It was clear that Alex was not going to make this easy on herself, and she was sure that James was prepared to extract information from the girl in another way if Lucy failed to do so. Leaning back in her chair, she looked to her brother and James for a moment, observing them closely. Conor was like an open book, Lucy could see that he was afraid. James of course was a lot harder to read, but Lucy knew him so well that she could see that he was trying to remain open about what Lucy was doing.

"Well, you see Alex...I think you have a few things backwards here. Sure, they took Finn and they are probably going to rough him up a bit...that's to be expected, unfortunately." Lucy's words were slow and calculating and she looked Alex dead in the face. "It would be helpful if you could tell us where Finn...and here's why." Lucy suddenly put her cigarette out on the ashtray in front of her and leaned forward. Her expression was as serious as ever, her eyes gave Alex a clear warning of what was to happen if she did not cooperate. "Finn will be returned to us alive, because if he isn't...and we have to bury one more family member.."Lucy paused letting her words sink in. "You bet your ass we'll come in with guns blazing, and we won't leave until they are all just a memory." The words spilled from her lips like poison, meaning every word. "But if you help us now...I promise we will not retaliate...for we only want peace after all."

Finn smirked slightly and said nothing more as Vinnie walked out of the room. Turning off the lights before he left, Finn was left in complete darkness. The only sound that could be heard was that of his heartbeat. It was working in double time to keep him calm and breathing. He closed his eyes, somehow it was more comforting to be in the dark when eyes were closed then staring out openly into it waiting for your imagination to scare you. The knife was still somewhere, waiting for Finn to reach for it..

It was like a small itch on the tip of his nose, one that he couldn't reach because he was restrained. It kept itching and itching at him, picking away at his soul and leaving him completely raw. The knife was there, it was almost like Finn could feel it. In those moments of darkness and complete silence, Finn wondered if this was what death was like. If he was just pining over something that was already given to him. Like Vinnie had said, he was a man who was already dead. Perhaps he was dead...and this was his own version of hell.

Finn's eyes stung as familiar tears made their appearance, spilling down his cheeks once more. The gun that was placed in his hand fell to the floor, echoing off the walls as it hit the hard concrete. He wanted his mother, she always knew how to make Finn feel better, how to pull him out of his troubling thoughts. His father would always find some way to distract him, teaching him knew things. Maggie was always there to talk to late at night when Finn couldn't sleep...He cried harder than he ever had in his entire life. Not just for his parents, who were gone forever. But for Maggie, for she had lost a brother this evening, a walking shell reminding her of what once was.

Finnian Sullivan was no more.

When Alex directly addressed him and insinuated he would go in all guns blazing, James had to speak up. Shooting first and asking questions later had, funnily enough, been Conor's gut reaction. "That's not my style, Alex," he assured her. His bullets were always carefully thought out and the target clearly defined in advance. The victims only the ones who deserved it. "If you can't ask for the information... Then you tell your family you need it. I despise every bone in your father's body, but the man still has something going for him and that's his love for his children. Do you think he loves you enough to let Finn go?" he posed the question. He hoped Lucy knew him well enough to know he wouldn't lay a finger on Alex. She shouldn't pay for her father's crimes, like Sinead should never have paid for her family's.

Conor glared in James' direction. He hoped the man was bluffing, because they'd promised no harm would come to Alex and he wouldn't let that promise be broken. He knew James wouldn't have got shit done in the past by not being this way, but Conor just wished he could read his friend right now. "Lucy is right," Conor spoke up, unable to look to look at Alex. "All we want is peace. We were happy the last few months until someone hurt your friend, Olivia. We just want Finn back and to get on with business again. Why would we have done any of this when we know your father is far too dangerous and powerful for us? We just want Finn home," he said, his voice full of sincerity.

When lucy threatened her family in a cold manner, Alex sat back with a smirk present on her face. Her demeanour was as though she was in charge of the situation because in a sense she was, she had the information that they so desperately needed. "Yeah threatening me is going to work" she added cooly before taking a drag of her cigarette. "Maybe if you just said the peace part the information would already be yours" she snapped. Alex was already in a bad way and this was making her worse.
When James spoke up asking if her father loved her, the smirk only grew as she turned to face him "he wont let you hurt me" she said motioning to Conor after seeing the look he gave James "and honestly no, he wouldnt give up Finn or any other Sullivan for my life" she said. Alex stated this calmly as though she was unaffected by this but deep down its what she believed and she was hurt by it.
Alex sighed looking around the room at the faces present "I know yous think lowly of me and I know in your eyes I am probably no better than my father but I'm not a monster" Alex was addressing James and Lucy in this statement. "nor do I believe Finn deserves whatever the hell is happening to him, Ive never met him but from what Ive been told he's not a gangster and it's not right". Alex bit her lip as she thought about where he could possibly be, she only knew off two places which her father held people. "I have an idea but I am coming with you's so I know that no Romano is killed in the extraction" Alex demanded.

Lucy decided that it wasn't worth getting upset over how Alex responded to Lucy's threats. The girl was far too stubborn to realize that what Lucy said was only the truth, that it would end up exactly the way she predicted because she had seen it so many times before. Lucy's jaw clenched when James spoke, his words suddenly adding even more tension to the already uncomfortable situation. Conor gave him a glare, but Lucy just glanced his way with an eyebrow raised. She knew better, James wouldn't hurt the girl, sure he could make it seem like he would but he was convincing.

But Alex was right, Conor would definitely fight James before he would even second guess his decision. The girl was smart, she definitely knew how to play the relationship card when it was needed, a very manipulative move. Lucy listened to the girl as she spoke, letting her say what she needed to and was pleased to hear her demands. Sure it wasn't exactly what they were asking for, but if she was willing to help them...they would have to give in to her conditions. Looking to James and Conor, Lucy nodded her head. If the girl was willing to risk being seen with them, it was on her head if she was caught. "Your conditions prove you to be nothing like your father, I don't make assumptions of people who have simply lost there way. You are a good person Alex...I don't doubt that."

Crossing her arms, she wondered what the girl had in mind. "So what was this idea of yours?"

James felt a sense of irritation when Alex suggested them asking for peace would work. They'd tried that already. He shrugged his shoulders when Alex said Conor wouldn't let him hurt her. That was completely irrelevant as he wouldn't try to hurt her, he'd merely make Vinnie believe he was going to. Given Gianna was dead, they'd proven they could see things through. He did find it interesting that Alex didn't have faith in her father saving her. James didn't have a family, so he had good reason to believe nobody would come to his aid. Alex had always had one and a close one at that, yet she still didn't believe Vinnie would help her.

James wasn't here to give Alex a therapy session, so he remained silent and left it to Lucy to reassure her that they didn't think so lowly of her. She wasn't anything like Vinnie and James believed that because of how much Conor cared for her whilst he despised her father. Alex then suggested she had an idea and she would be coming with them. He hoped Lucy knew what she was doing, because he didn't trust this one bit. Through not fault of Alex's, he expected this would end up working in the Romanos favour, as always.

"I've had many opportunities to make dumb decisions," he assured Lorenzo. "I've spent much of my adult life refusing my father's and Vinnie's nagging at me to become like them. I'm not about to start changing tonight," he explained. Deep down, he knew something was changing in him, but it wasn't a desire to become a criminal. It was a desire to break Vinnie's nose. To adopt violence.

Leo nodded when Lorenzo explained the reason Athena had chosen Vinnie. He agreed. He'd long since stopped fearing Vinnie, which is perhaps why he was able to walk away tonight and why he'd given the man a piece of his mind in the past.

"I'm sorry to hear you've lost someone you loved. That's never something that's easy to get over," he genuinely told Lorenzo. "Reckless behaviour, now you can learn to fix that. The fact you acknowledge it shows you're not beyond overcoming it." He took a drink as he processed the other words the man had spoken. "You don't strike me as a weak-minded person. You have the power to change your words and not use them to kill people. It sounds to me like you're seeking redemption and you're the only one who can find it." He sighed. "If you do find it, I suggest you show your cousin the same path. I'm no expert, but the moment Vinnie lost hope was the moment he held his dying wife in his arms. He let his grief beat him."

Leo took a long drink. He felt like a complete hypocrite. He was willing to help Lorenzo and, to some extent, Vinnie. But all he wanted to do himself was let his own misery take over, even if just for tonight.

Lorenzo nodded, his eyes distant, as he took in Leo’s words. He knew he’d never get over Jack, the two had been partners for 15 years before his death... But, the behavior he took up ran in Romano blood. And he was right, he wasn’t weak-minded, just lost...

I’ve made a name for myself I regret Leo. 10 years ago I was the head of a law firm, living happily with my partner, and did good... Now i’m back with my hellbound cousin, running a underground cartel, and just destroyed a man forever.” Taking a sip of his vodka, he sighed. “But, you may be right. Redemption is quite possible, but not for Vinnie i’m afriad.”

Nodding, Lorenzo continued. “Tonight though, I propose we indulge our self-pity.” Tipping his head and glass, he smiled. “To us, a pair of worthless shits who are quite single, depressed, and in need of drinks.”

Alex listened to Lucy as she spoke, a faint smile played on her lips when Lucy said that Alex wasn't a bad person. With everything that had ever happened and what she was planning she was beginning to feel like she was, so hearing that from someone who didn't particularly like her gave Alex some reassuring. Sometimes good people do bad things that are necessary or at least seem it.
"He wouldn't bring Finn to where you's were kept as it would be too obvious and he'd be afraid you'd somehow remember where it was" Alex mused out loud as she tried to decipher where Finn would be kept. "I know off one other place and its somewhere in the hotel" Alex stated. She bit her lip, he would be guarded and there was no way she could get the Sullivans in and out without being seen or without blood being shed.
"If it's the hotel then you's have no hope getting in without a fight happening unless I go in and let you all in a backway but you all need to trust me and follow my signal" she said to them. Alex stood up from her seat and addressed James and Lucy "I know you's have no reason to trust me and with everything Romano's have done I dont blame you" she then turned to face Conor and slowly walked towards him until she was standing in front of him "but you know me, you know what I am like and I am asking you to now trust me" she said before glancing around at Lucy and James. She bit her lip before addressing Conor "If I double cross you or something goes wrong that can go back to being my fault then you have to put your feelings for me aside and let James and Lucy do what they see fit, torture, killing me whatever is the most suitable".

Lucy heard Alex out as she explained where Finn could be, she was unsure but Lucy was confident that the girl could locate Finn. Lucy watched as she stood and addressed the issue of James and herself not trusting Alex, which was going to be an issue if they were going to get Finn back her way. Lucy wasn't going to completely trust her, but she would trust her just enough...as long as her brother was confident in her.

Lucy said nothing as the girl asked them to trust her, only giving her a slight nod of her head. Her eyes glanced to James and wondered how he was taking this plan. She was sure it was definitely out of the ordinary for him and he was going to be the one who will truly have a hard time trusting Alex. Lucy stood up after the girl finished speaking and sighed. "I guess I could try and trust you for the evening." Lucy shrugged her shoulders, an amused smirk appeared on her lips. "We need to get moving if we are going to get him, I'm afraid your father wastes no time getting down to business."
