Vinnie listened to Angel and watched as the man left. He hadn't exactly done as Vinnie requested, but that wasn't one of his priorities at the moment. "You're lucky Angel is more tolerant than I am," he noted, deciding to put his gun away. They knew the dangers and that there were quite a few Romanos around the casino just waiting to retaliate should he, Fortuna or Angel be harmed. "I'll give you a day or two to reconsider, Brian," he said, deciding to use the man's first name. "My offer still stands. In fact, I believe we could work well together, so I'm going to budge and offer you a partnership in the business. On the guarantee that Albert here will not step foot on the premises again," he suggested. He got to his feet and smiled. "A pleasure speaking with you, gentlemen. I look forward to hearing from you."

With that, Vinnie stepped out of the room with Fortuna. "No matter what happens with the casino, I want Albert dead by the end of the week," he quietly told Fortuna.

He looked to see where Angel was and approached the man. "You needed to speak with me?" Vinnie asked Angel, his tone flat.

Embarrassing the girl was easy enough as it is, it was ten times worse when it came to deal with the opposite sex. Athena got ruffled even at males flirting with her. It always seemed to end in a tomato red Athena.
Athena was still quite flustered but Leo attempting to help her out by commenting on the warmness of the building made the redness in her face subside ever so slightly. In all honesty, Thena was grateful Alex, Nicolo, or Vinnie were not present at the current time. She was sure she would be teased to death by the three.
Athena met Leo's gaze and caught the warm smile he gave her and returned it with a small gentle one of her own. He didn't seem to make the comment faze him but she did catch a light blush on his own face earlier.

Leo's answer seemed to suffice for Kanai as nodded, "Hm. I guess it is kinda warm." Nai replied, before turning around again to watch the performers.
A low sigh left Athena's lips before she turned to Leo again.
Trying to change the subject, she asked Leo about working at the hotel. "So, what's it like working at a hotel of Vinnie's?" The girl voiced softly.

Lucy listened to her sisters words closely, trying to get the roaring in her right ear to go away, massaging it lightly. It didn't seem to be working very well and the blood continued to ooze from her ear slowly. Biting her lip, she finally felt...overwhelmed and her lip trembled slightly. Drawing in a shaky breath, she leaned into Sinead's hand as she cupped her cheek, nodding slightly. "Hard of hearing at the moment, but I think I will live." She had killed three more people. Her, someone who shouldn't have really been involved in anything in the first place. 4 people were dead because of her. Lucy turned and smiled at her sister, despite her inner feelings and sighed. "I normally don't like when someone disobeys me....but I am really glad you did....and I'm very proud of you Sinny." She whispered before pressing another kiss to her sisters temple.

The car came to a stop next to James' car and that's when she say the blood stained handprints on the back window. Her eyes widened and she quickly got out of the car, ignoring the sting of broken glass in her feet, she ran towards the door and entered quickly. "James?" She called out in a panic and heard voices coming from the kitchen. Quickly forcing herself to move, she headed towards the kitchen to see the bloody mess that was James and...Finn? "Jesus Christ!" She exclaimed seeing his shoulder. "What happened to staying safe?" She asked as she moved over to his side and knelt down beside him. "And what the hell is Finn doing here?" Her cousin was busy cleaning up and raised an eyebrow at her when she spoke his name.

Finn was quite impressed with how James handled such pain, and was relieved that he was so easy to work on. Other patients would have moved so much that they would have caused another injury. The man didn't seem to take resting into consideration however, as he announced that he was good at shooting with both hands. It was admirable really but if he wasn't careful he could hurt more than just himself. Laughing at the vodka joke, Finn shook his head. "I'm afraid medicine has not advanced much to be able to put vodka into the body like that...put I can definitely get you a drink. I think you deserve more than just one." He moved to the cabinets and searched for the alcohol when the front door burst open.

Bare feet smacked against the tile and soon a very well dress and bloodied Lucy came sprinting into the kitchen. Her eyes were wide and fearful as she made her way over to James. Clearly these two had something going on. Finn continued about his business, searching for the drinks and cleaning up as he went. That was until Lucy asked what Finn was doing at the house. "Uh its a bit of a long story...and I am more interested in hearing what the hell happened to you. Is your ear bleeding?" He asked taking a step closer to his cousin. That's when he heard the other's step through the door.

Angel was smoking a Cuban in the hallway as he waited for Vinnie. Seeing Vinnie, he blew the remaining smoke out of his mouth. "That went well." Angel said sarcasitcally. He knew Brian wasn't going to hand over his business to them willingly, but a shootout would've caused too much heat to the Romano name. "I'll take care of that big mouth. Don't give Fortuna the job, let me handle it. I'm gonna use him to get Dawson to handover the casino." Angel tossed the burned out cigar onto the floor, stepping it out before it caught fire to the carpet.

Angel frowned as Vinnie asked what it was he wanted to talk about. "The warehouse is gone. Someone got there right before I did and turned the place into a crater."

Leo raised an eyebrow when Kanai bought his story about it being too warm and turned away to watched the performers.

When she asked him what it was like working at the hotel, Leo grinned. "It's really good, Athena. I love working there. The staff are great and there's some frequent guests who are also wonderful." He thought about his boss and chuckled a little. "Vinnie can be a real pain in the ass, at least, until you learn how to deal with him. The man is a real nitpicker and always find something to complain about, but you soon realise it's better when he's bossing you around. It's when he doesn't talk when you know you're in trouble," he joked. "I used to be intimidated by him, but then I started doing my job properly. Now we get along perfectly well at work."

"A few vodkas will do nicely, thanks Finn," James told the younger man, watched as he walked to the cabinets in search of the alcohol. James was distracted when he heard Lucy call out his name. Shortly after, she rushed into the kitchen and went to kneel by his side. "I was trying to stay safe, but then dumbass David forgot how to cover my back," he remarked. He knew the man's gun had jammed, but that wasn't going to stop him taking out his frustration on him for it. "I'll be okay. I'm told it was only a main artery," he weakly told her, the loss of blood making him a little out of breath. "I blew Vinnie's shit up and managed to take out a couple of those guys who took us last week," he told her. "Worth it."

It was then that Finn mentioned Lucy's ear was bleeding and James felt bad for not even realising. "Lucy, what happened?" he worriedly asked, groaning as the action of suddenly sitting forward put some pressure on his pained shoulder. He was about to reach out to touch her face and wanted to know if she was okay, but he heard the others enter the house. He was suddenly reminded he wasn't alone with Lucy and he didn't know she'd told her siblings about them yet. "Please tell me you're all okay," he quietly asked her. He was worried something terrible had happened.

As he entered the house, Conor took some time to remove his shoes, struggling with only one hand that wasn't throbbing with pain. Sinead simply kicked off her heels and went to see where Lucy had gone to, hoping her sister was okay. When she stepped into the kitchen, she saw James sat topless, bandaged and bloodied. "James, what happened?" she asked. All of a sudden she remembered Lucy had revealed she and James were together. That knowledge and James sat with his top off made Sinead blush - ironic that her mission had been to make James blush. Before she had chance to say anything else or even tease the couple, she realised Finn was standing right there in the room with them. Suddenly, the sight of more blood left her mind as she focused on her cousin. "FINN!" she exclaimed and tightly wrapped her arms around him. "What are you doing here? Where's Maggie?" she excitedly asked, still hugging him. He didn't know what had just happened, but his presence was a nice little distraction.

Conor entered the kitchen and managed a smile as he saw Finn was there. "Bloody Hell, what brings you here, mate?" he asked Finn. He then looked to James suspiciously. "What have you been up to this time?" he asked. He didn't give James much chance to explain before pointing at him. "You look after my sister, Mr Porter," he lightly warned him, with a wink. If Lucy hadn't managed to tell James her siblings knew, he would now realise they knew.

"I wouldn't dream of it," James simply replied. He then turned back to Lucy and decided it was okay for him to softly touch her cheek. He glanced to her ear again before speaking up. "Finn, any chance you could tend to Lucy?" he asked, which cued Sinead to let go of her cousin and release him from the hug.

Vinnie nodded his head when Angel said the meeting had gone well. "We'll sort it," he noted. "I would appreciate it if you did deal will Albert. The guy's had it coming for some time now. How committed are you to that statement? About using him to get Dawson to agree?" he asked.

When Angel mentioned what had happened back at the warehouse, Vinnie's face didn't hide his anger. "What do you mean gone?!" he asked. "Have you any idea who was behind it? That stuff was fucking valuable. I'll kill whoever did it with my bare hands," he angrily threatened. "What about those four idiots I left in charge. Did you speak to them? Someone must know something. Oh, I'm not happy about this, not one bit. Someone's going to pay for this mistake."

Lucy was listened to James as he spoke about what happened during his job and she let out the weakest laugh. "It hit a main artery and you are saying you will be okay?" She shook her head in disbelief at him and listened as he struggled to even get a proper breath in. She searched him over once more looking for any other injuries that could have been missed or were not as obvious as the one on his shoulder. Finn pointed out her ear was bleeding and James asked what had happened. She was about to explain it all when her brother and sister walked in and met up with them all. Sinead was concerned for James but the surprise of her cousin being there distracted her.

Lucy continued to cup her ear lightly and smiled as she was relieved to see that everyone was alive and safe. "We are all okay now...." Hearing her brothers words to James brought an even bigger smile to her face. Leaning into the hand that James had placed against her cheek, she sighed softly and looked in Finn's direction as Sinead hugged him fiercely. "I have you to thank for saving James?" She asked her cousin lightly and stood up so that he could take a look at her ear.

Finn was about to come and take care of Lucy when Sinead came rushing into the house, soon followed by Conor. Sinead didn't notice him at first and he just stayed silent until she turned around and shouted his name. "SINN!" He laughed and pulled her in for a bear hug. "Oh my lord you seem to grow even more beautiful every time I see you! Did you get shorter?" He teased softly and answered both Conor's and Sinead's question. "I think I will have to explain it all when things get a little more...calm. Its a rather long story and I don't wish to bore you to tears." He said before hearing James' request.

"Sure thing, anything for my cousin and don't worry about me helping James, I certainly wasn't going to let him bleed out now was I?" He smiled easily before Sinead released him from her adorable tiny grip. "Alright Doll let me have a look." He said before walking over to Lucy. Lucy pulled back her hand to reveal the bleeding ear and Finn squinted to try and peer inside. "can you hear me?" He asked lightly to her. Lucy nodded her head but spoke, "It sounds like i'm underwater though..." Finn nodded his head before grabbing the medical kit and placing it on the counter. Grabbing some gauze, he lightly placed it to her ear and Lucy winced. "What happened to it?" He asked her. Lucy was hesitant to answer, knowing that James would be more than trigger happy when she spoke of what went down at the club. He couldn't afford to get into any more action right now..

"Some drunk decided to try and force Sinead into dancing, Conor took care of the problem. Little did we know that drunk guy had friends with masks and guns....." Lucy said making eye contact with James. "Well, this injury isn't permanent....you might have some slight damage to your ear drum and that's whats causing the bleeding and muffled hearing...not much we can do besides wait it out and see if your hearing returns to normal." Finn announced but took the liberty of cleaning it. Lucy shifted on her feet and winced. "Oh and I need help removing glass from my feet."

"Dead, all of 'em. When I showed up, they didn't even look human. This wasn't just some spurr of the moment attack; this was planned and well thought out. They incapacitated four great guards and detonated the explosives. The Sullivan's are obviously in bed with this. It's become a repetetive back-and-fourth, but some serious retaliation needs to take place. I honestly think we made a mistake not killing them while we had them." Angel shook his head, keeping his hands on his waist. "As for Albert. I'll trail him and have him killed tonight. I'll make sure there's atleast one witness, so Brian knows he's next if he doesn't sign over the rights."

James managed a smile for Lucy. "Yeah, I'll be fine. It's just a scratch," he remarked, referring back to last week when he'd also claimed those wounds were just scratches. James continued to take weak breaths as Lucy looked him over for more injuries. He wanted to say more to her and hold her, but they were in the presence of others, so he'd reverted to quiet, serious James. In honesty, his current state didn't help as he was feeling too weak to say much anyway. "Finn saved me," he managed to confirm.

Sinead's cheeks turned bright red as Finn complimented her. "You're looking pretty handsome yourself, mister," she told him. "And I'm sure I've done all of my growing, so you must be getting taller. Another giant, like Conor," he joked. She was curious as to what his story was, but it seemed she would have to be patient. She hoped Maggie was going to be joining them too. There were always too many men around the house.

Sinead stood back as Finn tended to Lucy. She hoped her sister was going to be alright. She was glad Lucy hadn't told her off for not running when Conor had told her to. Everyone was always trying to protect her, but there was no way Sinead would have left Lucy just to protect herself.

When Finn asked Lucy what happened, James paid attention to see what her response was, as he too wanted to know why she was hurt. He was already angry when he heard some guy had hassled Sinead. She wasn't his sister or anything, but she was as good as family, so he didn't like that someone had scared her. When Lucy made eye-contact whilst mentioning they had guns, James gave her a look which told her to continue explaining. His jaw tightened when she pointed out she also had glass in her feet. He wasn't happy that she'd been hurt and he wasn't there to help her. "Then what happened?" he asked Lucy, not wanting her to stop explaining just yet. "You said the guys had guns? Who were they and is there any way I can find them?" he asked her. "I don't need to use both arms to shoot the bastards."

"You've got to be kidding me," Vinnie angrily mumbled upon hearing the four men were dead. He nodded as Angel explained this attack had been planned and he agreed the Sullivans were behind it. "We didn't have them because of business. We had them because of Gianna. It was personal and I wanted revenge. But I gave them all a chance and I stopped my personal vendetta against them. I know you might not understand that," he told him. At least this time it was business and Vinnie's own emotions or guilt for Gianna's death were not a hindrance. "There will be retaliation for this, Angel. Perhaps they need to lose something that's of high value to them. Let's not rush into it when we have our other little problem to deal with." He nodded as Angel mentioned that problem by name. "Thank you, Angel. We might be able to make some progress with Albert out of the way and the right message sent to Brian."

Lucy could see the hate in James' eyes and wanted nothing more than to make him forget that she had even said anything. As expected he wanted to bust some kneecaps and then take some answers, but sadly he would be disappointed. Finn had moved and grabbed a chair for her before telling her to sit. Lucy did as she was told and by the look in James' eyes, he told her to continue explaining. "Well...Conor had injured himself after fighting the guy and was already too weak to do anything...so I made him give me the gun...Needless to say, those men won't be a problem anymore." Her eyes met James' once more and she let out a hiss as Finn began digging into her feet with tweezers pulling out some pieces of glass. "Son of a bitch!" She cursed and her foot moved, almost kicking Finn right in the face.

"All that matters is that we got out safe and in good condition compared to what could have been."She was sure James was absolutely pissed that Lucy had to defend her and her family by herself. "Sinead actually has a little bit of that fight in her too though, hit him with a stool and everything." She let out a nervous laugh and looked to her sister.

Finn had listened to Lucy's story with rapt interest as he quickly got her something to sit down on and started to get to work on her feet. The bottom of her feet had at least 6 or 7 good size pieces of glass in each foot, so he wasted no time getting down to business. Making sure the tweezers were cleaned and sanitary, he began pulling out the pieces one by one and quietly apologizing each time she made a face or hiss out in pain. Finn dropped the glass pieces onto the counter and looked to Sinead whom Lucy said was quite the little fighter herself.

"Tinker bell got some ass kicking in huh? Niiiicceee!" He smiled her way and tried to lighten up the mood just a bit, sensing that James was in a bad mood hearing that his cousins had been put in a sticky situation. Finn was however, surprised to hear that Lucy had managed to kill three men on her own. It was impressive, but he was sure last time he was here Uncle Emmett had went out of his way to make sure both girls were never involved.

Carrick had woken up confused, trying to figure out where he was at. The last he remembered was being on the club with his sibling. He stood up and looked around before finding himself on the driver side of a car, which confused a little bit before opening the door and stepping out, but at the same time holding himself so that he wouldn't fall. He still felt somewhat drunk, which was odd considering that he only had 3 beers. Maybe he was a lightweight? Or maybe it just didn't do good for his immune system. Once he got a hold of himself, he started walking toward the house, once he realized it was where he lived. Now that he though about it, what the hell had happened when he had passed out? Shouldn't they still be at the club? Or did something happen? Heading inside, he heard voices coming either from either the living room or was it the kitchen? Right now he was unsure where exactly they were at, mostly because he heard voices coming from all around. Which was starting to give him a headache, he would never drink again, ever.

= Magdeline "Maggie" Sullivan =

"Don't Underestimate A Pretty Face." To have arrived at the old place, brought a smile to Maggie's lips. The sight of the old grand house before her was slightly unnerving, she had to admit it, but it was good to be back. She pulled her navy blue car into a clear space among the many other automobiles littering the driveway and her eyebrows furrowed slightly. She hadn't expected so many other cars. She could see Finnigan's two over from her own, but the driver's seat was empty. He must have been inside. She wasn't surprised he had arrived before her, the two of them had a large difference in distance to their Aunt's house. That- The engine of her mobile switched off only for Maggie to remain seated in discontempt. Out her front windshield she noticed remarkable red marking on the concrete outside, leading into the house. Even the car to her right had a red handprint stained on its bonnet. 'What, in the hell....' Quickly but carefully, Maggie reached below her seat for her handgun. It was a failsafe, and she still hadn't used it. She hoped she wasn't about to. Now armed and sure of herself, Maggie slipped out into the slightly chilly outside. Her gingham shirt wasn't much help in this weather now that she thought about it, even with a long skirt and a maroon coat on. When she stood over the blood she could tell someone had been bleeding pretty profusely. Her gun was held low, finger on the trigger as she moved up the steps of the house to the front door. It was left slightly ajar, and this just fueled her suspicions. Maggie entered the belly of the beast, eyes flitting everywhere. She noticed the assorted shoes lying about on the tile, which had her face contorted in confusion. When she called out into the foyer she expected to be met with gunshot, or worse, an intruder, but instead, the vaguely familiar sounds of her family met her ears. Lucy, who's voice Maggie would never forget, had just exclaimed from around the corner. Eyes wide, Maggie ran right for the kitchen, heels clicking on the tile, only to stop when she almost went right into Carrick. It took her a moment, but she was holding the obvious drunk for a moment to steady him. 'Carrick?' This was the last she was going to see that 18 year old drunk off his head. Once again, the sounds from the kitchen echoed towards her, so, with the male definitely close behind her, she finally turned the corner, to be met with the rest [well not all] of the Sullivan clan; and a Porter. The two handed grip on her gun loosened considerably as a sigh of exasperation left her. And then it was back. Lucy, her Lucy had glass shoveled between her toes, with Finn expertly removing it, and James looked like he was caught in a moment of pain, judging by his facial expressions. Maggie blew a strand of extremely loose hair from her face and spoke with such exasperation and concern you might have thought she'd just witnessed a- .....I got nothing. Maggie wanted to rush them all with hugs, but she was too confused to function. 'Did I miss something on my way over here? Is everyone okay? What in the hell is going on?' She was here for a reason, but she could tell it was stark in contrast to what had brought everyone else here.

James listened as Lucy explained Conor had been injured and she'd had to shoot the men. If he appeared angry or upset, he was. It wasn't aimed at Lucy or Conor, it was the fact they'd been attacked in the first place and that he wasn't there to help. He was worried about how Lucy might now be feeling after killing three people. He'd just killed three more people himself and he hoped his indifference to it wasn't going to start rubbing off on her. Although, earlier in the evening he'd actually intended on not killing anyone, which he figured was Lucy rubbing off on him. He just wanted to hold her, but she was being tended to and there were far too many people around for him to initiate it. He compromised and reached out to hold her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze as she continued to hiss at having the glass pulled out of her feet. He caught her eye and sent her a reassuring smile. They could talk privately later.

"Sinead got a got some action too?" James asked, looking to the innocent-looking Sullivan girl. "Good," he simply said, with a nod. He was starting to feel a little faint, but was determined to battle through it, especially as he didn't want to stall any explanations or reunions. He could really do with any kind of drink right now though as he felt a strong first.

"Well, I wasn't going to let him hurt Lucy," Sinead said, grinning as Finn and James made comments about her hitting one of the men. "Stamped on the jerk's foot too." She was just glad neither of her parents were home to be angry at her for putting herself in danger, especially when she'd been told to run. When she heard another female voice, Sinead turned to see another cousin had arrived. "MAGGIE!" she shouted, before rushing over to hug the new arrival. She was glad for her cousins turning up - she needed this kind of distraction from what she'd just witnessed.

Conor leaned against the worktop, wrapping a bandage around his injured hand. He grinned at Maggie as she joined them. This was turning out to to be quite the reunion. He continued to listen as he focused on his hand. He noticed Carrick stumbling around inside the hallway, looking a little confused. A smirk appeared on his face, thinking how the kid had barely had any drink.

Lucy squirmed slightly as Finn continued to dig into her foot with those damned tweezers but as James took her hand, she calmed slightly. The gentle squeeze from his hand brought her some comfort and she found herself smiling back at him. That was until Finn pulled out another piece and it sent her glaring at her cousin.

Lucy listened to Sinead as she explained her part in the whole thing and smiled almost proudly at her. Lucy had expected the girl to follow her orders...like she had done more than often, but was oddly pleasantly surprised that she didn't...God knows what would have happened to her if Sinead hadn't taken action like she did.

The familiar voice of Maggie rang out followed by the shout of Sinead as she ran over to hug their other cousin. The shout made Lucy's ear ring slightly but the roaring had finally deminished to a soft hum. Smiling softly at the girl as she was attacked with a bear hug Lucy spoke to her, " Well long time no see Mags, looking as beautiful as ever darling....don't worry about the mess in here just some...issues that's all." Lucy winced again and Finn muttered his apologies.

Finn had finally pulled the last piece out of Lucy's foot and pressed a wet cloth to t wiping it clean of blood. Sterilizing the wound, he quickly got to work bandaging her feet. Lucy was just relieved to have him finally bandaging up her feet. Looking over at James once more, she noticed he was still weak and pale, which concerned her greatly. "What do you need love?" She asked gently, and squeezed his hand before releasing it willing to go fetch him something if needed.

Finn smiled slightly as he talked about Sinead's little fists of fury. The girl was tiny and built much like a fairy, but those hands were nothing but skin and bone, and when put into contact with skin, it doesn't feel to great.

As Finn listened and joined in on the conversation he still kept himself busy with Lucy's feet. The poor girl seemed to have stepped on a broken glass and it tore up the bottom of her feet. It appeared that none of the wounds she had needed any stitching, to that Finn was relieved. James seemed to handle pain well, but Lucy was not the best patient in the world and he feared that if she needed stitches the whole family would have to hold her down.

Finn looked up briefly as his sister walked into the kitchen, a gun held up with two hands and raised a questioning eyebrow at the girls cautious movements. This was certainly a reunion now and honestly they could've picked a better time to do it. But shit happens and there isn't anything one can do. Can't beat them, join them.

When he finished wrapping up Lucy'S feet, he moved to clean up once more. Staying a bit silent as Sinead and Maggie caught up, he saw his sister a lot. So he figured giving her room to breathe was what was best.

Athena listened as he praised his job, talking about the great staff and guests. She smiled lightly, Athena had been to the hotel many times before. Everyone seemed to think highly of the building and for good reason.

A small amused smile made its way on her mouth when he began speaking about Vinnie. "He really is something." Athena said, chuckling. Taking a sip of her water, she glanced at Leo as he talked more on how having Vinnie as a boss was like.
Athena could not imagine working for the man. The man was very straight-forward and a bit blunt at times. Then, Leo said that although he was intimidated by Vinnie first, they got along pretty well now.

"That's good to hear." Athena spoke, smiling softly.
"How long have you been working there?" She questioned, curious.

rsz_1unknown-e1333272379990 (1).jpg The night grew cold, the florescent street lights the only thing to illuminate the roads. The concrete was unpleasantly damp, cars splashing day-old drainage water across the sidewalk. As a car drove by, it's headlights revealed Angel resting in the alley of the Casino, his hands comfortably tucked into his jacket. He waited by the exit, a cigarette pressed between his lips. He followed the string of smoke with his eyes as it dispersed into the bitter air. Behind him were three goons, sitting upon their motorcycles. Around their handlebars rested heavy chains, swaying back and forth. Angel reached into his waistband, brandishing a Colt 1911. Pulling the slide back, he loaded a magazine into the slot. Pressing the release, the slide flew into place. It produced a loud clicking sound as a .45 ACP round was loaded in.

Leo chuckled along with Athena. He had no doubt she had only seen the better sides of Vinnie, so it was nice to not have any shadows cast during their conversation about the man. Obviously, Vinnie wouldn't change his bluntness for anyone, though.

"Oh, let me think... I've worked at the hotel for about six years now. I started off as a bellboy - I think I only got the job because he liked me and my old man was doing a lot of jobs for him. Now I get to do events management and boss my own team around," he said, grinning. "Say what you will about him, but Vinnie's helped me develop my skills and get where I am now. I didn't have a clue what I wanted to do with my life and I hate to say, but I was nearly going to follow in my father's footsteps and make a dishonest living for myself," he admitted.

"So, what about you, Athena?" he asked, wanting to know more about her. "How long have you worked here? Is singing what you want you want to do with your life?" he curiously asked. "I'm surprised Vinnie hasn't had you singing at any of the big parties at the hotel."

Albert and two of the casino security guards, made their way through the casino towards the exit. He wasn't at all happy having sat in the meeting with the Romanos. Though he was friends with Brian Dawson, he thought the man was something of a pushover and easily tempted by money. That's why Albert invited himself to the meeting in the first place, to stop any stupid deals being made. Albert had a cut in the business and he was damned if he was going to let Vinnie take that from him.

"I'm not scared of Romano," Albert firmly told them, stepping outside as one of the employees held the door open for him. "If Brian hands this place over to the Italian fucks, I'll burn it down. Vinnie's shooting his mouth off because he's got no woman to bore with it now." Albert stopped outside the casino to light his cigarette, looking to see if there were any taxis nearby. Sundays weren't the busiest of days, so there wasn't the usual line of cars outside the place picking up or dropping people off.

In her excitement at seeing Maggie, it had almost skipped Sinead's attention that her cousin was carrying a gun. When it did become apparent to her, she stopped hugging her and stepped back a little. "What are you up to?" she suspiciously asked. "Am I the only person here who doesn't go waving guns around the place?!" she commented. "Are you okay, Maggie?" she worriedly asked her.

James Porter

James frowned as he watched Lucy's discomfort. and couldn't help but think of how much he hated seeing her in any pain. He continued to hold her hand as Finn did what he had to do. He looked to Sinead as the girl got a little high-pitched at Maggie's arrival. The girl was sweet, but that voice of hers could get high enough to pierce anyone's eardrums, but he knew such a vocal range was why she was a good singer. He supposed he should be grateful she was home safe and well, along with the rest of the family.

James was just about to close his eyes when he heard Lucy ask him what he needed. He looked to her and was about to deny he needed anything, but he knew she'd see through that. "I'm thirsty," he admitted. Although he felt weak and nauseous, the familiarity of the situation was in the back of his mind and he knew he needed to get some energy back in his body. "I could do with something to eat. Is there anything decent in the fridge?" he asked. He sat forward to get up and look before soon slumping back down in his chair. With James, it often seemed it would be easier to tie him down so he wouldn't keep fighting the idea of resting. Lucy was hurt too and he wanted to be able to do something for her. He also really wanted to hold her tightly in his arms, having for a brief time wondered if this gunshot wound was the one that would finish him off and then also knowing Lucy could have been seriously harmed too. It seemed they were destined to spend their days sitting together in some sort of pain. But she at least made that bearable.

Lucy smiled lightly as James admitted he was thirsty. He was stubborn and she knew it, but she was just as stubborn and would have denied that he didn’t need anything if he tried to convince her so. Her eyes looked towards the fridge and slowly she stood to her feet. Carrick came walking into the room as if he were on a boat of some kind, causing Lucy to laugh slightly. The boy must have learned his lesson, by the look on his face. Testing the weight on both feet, she was relieved to find that without the shard of glass jammed in her feet, it was slightly less uncomfortable to walk around. James had tried to stand in order to get something himself, but he couldn’t. Lucy shook her head and frown. “No no, the almost dead do not get up to make their food, I got it.” Lucy leaned over and gave him a small kiss on the forehead.

“Let me check, maybe I could make something too seeing as there is a room full of people now.” She laughed lightly before walking towards the fridge and opening it. Scanning the contents, she pulled out some left overs from dinner the night before. There was certainly plenty for everyone, so she decided to heat the whole thing up.

Lucy stayed out of Finn’s way as he cleaned vigorously at the blood and such on the counters and floors, moving to a sanitary part of the kitchen. Grabbing a glass she filled it with water along with grabbing a bottle of alcohol from the cabinet. Walking over to James she handed the glass to him before setting the bottle on the table next to him. “I want to see you drink that whole glass of water before getting into the good stuff.” She spoke much like a mother would to a young child, but James needed to rehydrate after losing that much blood and alcohol would not do the job. “So is anyone and by that i mean Maggie and Finn, going to explain what the hell you are doing here? Don’t get me wrong, I love you both but this is a bit unexpected.” She announced to the group of people as conversation started to diminish.

Finn wasted no time in making sure that the kitchen was as clean as it was when he first entered the house earlier that evening. After everything was done and cleaned to his standards (and what was hopefully his Aunt’s standards), he moved to his sister and smiled widely. “So glad you made it Mags.” He ruffled her hair slightly and listened to Sinead talk to her. Asking if she was okay.

“I think she thought someone was in danger…” Finn suggested to Sinead. However, the conversation started to die down and that’s when Lucy once again asked what Maggie and him were doing at the house. Finn smiled a bit uneasily and scratched the back of his neck, “What can’t two cousins come visit there family without having to have some special reason behind it?” The look Lucy gave him suggested that yes, there had to have been a special reason behind it and Finn turned to Maggie, pretending to hide behind her. “Uh oh, Maggie… Maybe you should explain..I’m being stabbed with eye daggers from Luce at the moment.”

c710c103db627cde602da9c37db015f1--ryan-gosling-fashion-perdition.jpg As the door opened up to the alley, Angel remained still. He crossed his hands in front of his crotch, holding the firearm. He waited for the last guard to close the door, leaving them completely isolated from the casino. "I'm not scared of Romanos." "Well, you should be." Angel interrupted Albert, keeping his relaxed pose. On that signal, the goons threw on their headlights, blinding Robert and the Casino guards. The motorcycles blocked the exit of the alleyway, lined up single file. Angel slammed the butt of his pistol against Albert's cheek, sending him to ground "Get walkin.'" Angel ordered them.

The three of them were forced deeper into the alley, completely behind the Casino where the loading dock was. The motorcycles slowly rolled down the alleyway behind them. Angel kept his pistol by his side, almost positive none of them would resist. Once in the center of the parking lot, the motorcycles began circling the four of them. Two other goons waited in the parking lot. One was on a motorcycle, while the other walked slowly next to him. Angel walked out of the circle, moving for the motorcycle being dropped off. The goon got off, allowing Angel to hop on. The three motorcycles circling Albert stopped in a triangle, shinning their brights down at him. "Prep him." Angel said. The goons nodded stepping to Albert and the two guards. One of the goons connected their knee to Albert's gut, causing him to fall to his knees. The two other guard's were quickly subdued out of the circle, forced on their stomachs with their heads pointed to Albert. The goons held their eyelids open, making sure they were unable to look away. The ones on the motorcycles stepped off, securing their chains to the back of their bikes and each to one of Albert's limbs. Angel pulled up on his bike, completing the circle. Stepping off, he secured his chain to Albert's right forearm. "Rest in pieces." Angel said, chuckling with a wink.

James nodded his head as Lucy told him not to get up and smiled as she kissed his forehead. He glanced around the kitchen at all of the Sullivans who were present. He wished he wasn't too exhausted to take advantage of the lively atmosphere. Sure, half of those present were injured and a couple had suddenly appeared under unexplained circumstances, but it was good to see some life around the place after recent troubles. He was hardly the type to vocally enjoy being in a group, but it didn't mean he didn't usually silently enjoy being around lively people.

He rested his good elbow on the table as Lucy handed glass of water to him and placed bottle of alcohol down in front of him. When she bossed him around by telling him to drink the water, he raised a playful eyebrow. "Yes, ma'am," he sarcastically replied. He smirked as he caught Conor pulling faces behind Lucy's back - faces which suggested she already had James under her thumb. James was well aware that Lucy wasn't one to take any shit and that's part of the reason he like her so much. "Thank you, love," he said to her, his tone appreciative. He carefully brought the glass to his mouth and began drinking the water. He then continued to listen as Lucy probed her cousins for an explanation. He was curious himself. Grateful Finn had been here, but still curious.

Conor grabbed himself a chair and listened as Finn seemed reluctant to give an explanation, instead looking to Maggie to speak up. "You guys might as well practice getting your story straight now, because my mam won't be fobbed off with any bullshit," Conor warned them.

When Angel spoke up, Albert rolled his eyes. "Oh, piss-" he began, before being blinded by the motorbike headlights and struck in the face with the man's gun, which knocked him to the ground. He was then ordered to walk, which he complied to, but not without argument. "Still doing Vinnie's dirty work, I see," Albert taunted Angel.

As they were forced deeper into the alley, Albert was sure he was in for a beating and a threat to stay out of Vinnie's business proposal. A threat he wouldn't give in to. He looked on as the motorcycle began circling them. "Fucking Italians..." he muttered. It seemed like they were trying to intimidate him. Glancing to the two guards, it looked like it had worked on them. When Angel got on the motorcycle and told his goons to "prep him", Albert didn't get chance to react before being kicked in the gut. As the men held him down and chained his limbs to the bikes, Albert shouted out more expletives and anti-Italian slurs, still convinced they were trying to put the fear into him. Meanwhile, the two guards squirmed as they had their eyelids held open, forced to watch as it appeared Albert was in for more than a beating. "Wait. Stop!" Albert pleadingly yelled out, realising Angel wasn't messing around.

Angel happily strolled to his bike, "Mr. Dawson clearly didn't get the message. Well, now you're the message." Angel hopped on his bike, revving it to life. "Let's do this boys!" Angel shouted over the roaring engines, clearly enjoying this. The goons let out a gleeful laughter, accelerating their bikes forward. The chains snapped straight, stretching Albert a good foot off of the ground. The force instantly ripped his shoulders out of their sockets. Despite this, he was still in one piece. Angel's bike resisted against the force, causing him to pull a wheelie. Angel swerved his bike back and forth, laughing while doing so. He acceled more, causing his tires to spin in place. A cringie tearing sound was audibly heard coming from Albert's body, causing the subdued guards to attempt to look away. The goons didn't let up, though, forcing their heads forward. "Don't mess with the fuckin' Romanos!" Angel shouted over the engines. Albert's body gave in, his limbs tearing off of his body. The motorcycles shot forward, each dragging a bleeding limb behind them. The guards' faces, who were in the splatter zone, were almost instantly coated with Alberts blood.

Angel shut off his idling engine, stepping off of the bike. "Wooh." Angel sighed, wiping his hand across his head. He looked to Albert's limbless corpse. "See you in hell, stronzo," Angel spat, flicking his burning cigarette onto Albert's chest. He walked over behind the two guards, their hands zip tied behind their backs. The two goons took their knees of their backs, stepping behind Angel. Angel pulled the Colt out, pulling the slide back to make sure there was a bullet in the chamber. "How many witnesses did Vinnie say he wanted?" Angel asked the goon to his right. "One max." He responded. Angel nodded, nonchalantly aiming down to the head of the guard laying infront of him. CRACK! The bullet shot through the back of the guard's skull, before ripping out the front. The impact of the bullet was enough to pop the guard's forehead right off, like the top of a jack-o-later - expelling his brains out onto the concrete infront of him. The sound of the gunshot sent neighboring crows fluttering off of the trees and telephone lines. Angel walked up to the remaining gaurd, crouching to his level. "Now you tell Mr. Dawson exactly what you saw here tonight." He told the guard, using the handgun as if it were his index finger. Angel stood up, looking to the goons. "Let's get outta here," he said, moving to his bike. The goons removed the chains from their bikes before starting them back up. They then drove out of the alley in an orderly manner.

Finn couldn't agree more with Conor, but he just was embarrassed about how to go about telling them all that he dropped out of medical school and wouldn't accept any hand outs from his Aunt and Uncle. He stepped out from behind Maggie and wrapped an arm around the girls shoulder before sighing, "Alright alright...sheesh. I'll tell ya why we are here..." He sighed and the look in his eyes was a sad one. He was upset with himself for so foolishly dropping out like he did and not thinking about the consequences. "Well we are basically broke, most of my money I used to pay for medical school and then I dropped out like some idiot." He wiped a hand over his face. "So I decided to take your parents up on an offer they had made a while back and just haven't been able to get in contact with them as of recently. The foreclosed the house....I fucked up big time and this is why we are both here..."

Finn rocked back on his feet and shoved his hands into his pockets as he looked down at the ground. Letting the silence fill the room until Lucy's voice broke it. "Well you are more than welcome here then...there is actually two extra bedrooms upstairs that aren't currently being used." She said on behalf of her siblings and her. She looked around the room and met Conor and Sinead's eyes hoping to get there approval, making Finn shift uneasily again. "I really don't want us to be a bother...it seems like you have your hands full here already."

Athena listened intently, "Oh, that's really cool." Athena commented, in response to the new information that he was events management. Thena listened as he told her about the way his life was likely headed had it not been for Vinnie.

"Well, Vinnie is certainly a blessing then." Athena mused.

Leo then posed a few questions at the young woman.

Athena pondered for about a minute. "Hm. I started singing here when I was twelve years old and I'm eighteen now. So I've been working here for six years now.
You know, I actually got this job by accident." She stated, smiling

"It was summer break. Me and Alex were at the local ice-cream parlor. One of my favorite songs, "My Love For You" started playing from the jukebox that was inside. I sang along. My uncle worked at the parlor so of course he drew attention to the fact that I was singing. " Athena laughed.

"Lenny, the bar owner had been in the same parlor when I had been singing. Afterwards, when it was about time to leave, he pulled me aside and asked me if I could work for him as a singer at the bar. I was really unsure but for some reason, I accepted the offer.
I was super nervous on my first performance here but as time went on, I got more comfortable being on stage. Though, I still get a bit nervous, this pendant always helps with my nerves." Athena phrased, holding up the gold pendant necklace that hung around her neck.
"That is how I got this job here at the bar." She spoke, a small grin on her lips

"I'd like to be a singer, to do what I love and make other people happy at the same time. Like Billie Holiday or Little Richard " Athena replied, a light smile appearing at the thought.

"It would be nice to travel the world singing for people. It's a bit of an unrealistic goal but a girl can dream." She spoke, a sweet smile on her lips and looking at Leo.

" How about you Leo? Do you want to stay an events manager as a career or do you want to do something else?" Athena questioned.

"Don't Underestimate A Pretty Face." Maggie had to break into a shit eating grin as Sinead pulled her into a hug. She gladly accepted it, her gun now in her right hand and her left arm wrapped around her tightly. To know that Sinead wa shappy with her arrival made Maggie feel a whole lot better than she thought she would ever be, given the circumstances. She gave James a smile over Sinead's shoulder, and graced everyone else with one too. She loved seeing their faces and that was all she knew right now. As she and Sinead parted Maggie looked down at the gun with her mouth shaped in an 'O'. 'No, sorry, Finn knows what he's talking about. I saw the blood outside and got suspicious...sorry Sin.' Maggie turned her head to Lucy with a bashful smile. "Not too bad yourself Luce." She nodded slightly at her small explanation, if it was one at all. It didn't seem like a small issue especially considering Lucy's state. Maggie nodded at her brother, prefferring he kept working on Lucy's foot, then turned back to Sinead, a smile still gracing her features. 'Sorry~.' For a second, she had tried to dodge Finn's hand, but found it no use when he caused the dishevlement. Maggie brought her hands up, in attempt to sort her hair out again, to no use of course. But she couldn't be bothered with that right now. Lucy had just asked exactly what she hope dno-one would. Why in the hell were they here? Maggie glanced up at Finn for a moment, unsure of if she should say anything. She wasn't smiling genuinely anymore. "Uuhhh...' How was she supposed to tell them? That she had turned down her scholarship to study psychology, that her dear brother had dropped out of med school, that she stil hadn't landed a part, that the siblings were just as stubborn as eachother, and that had lost them a living. Maggie's face was suddenly crestfallen, her mouth opened to speak, but no words came out. She was thankful Finn had decided to speak up, she didn't think she could explain it right now. Maggie leant into his side, ennjoying his comforting action. While Finn spoke, explaining their dilemma, Maggie's eyes were on the floor, or looking into nothing. When Finn was done, she had to add her own input. It wasn't just Finn's doing. 'I was offered a scholarship, and I didn't take it. I could have helped us out, but I decided acting was more important.' She looked up at Finn with an indignant smile. 'We, both fucked up.' Maggie turned to Lucy with mild surprise, and smiled. The offer was one the two should refuse. It was alot to ask after being gone so long...She glanced up at Finnigan a second time, with a short nod. 'Finn is right....you don't have to do that for us~.'

The two guards watched in horror as Angel and his goons revved up their bikes before speeding forward. As the bikes were met with resistance, the men watching tried to look away but were forced to keep watching, the pain prolonged for Albert. When the man's limbs were eventually ripped from his body and the two guards were splashed with the man's blood, they let out distressed shouts for them to stop already.

When the bikes stopped and Angel walked behind the guards, they kept still, trembling as they feared their lives were next. As Angel spoke to his goons, it became apparent only one of them was going to come out of this alive. Before long, a bullet had shot through the skull of one man, leaving only one guard left breathing. The man who had been kept alive looked to Angel as the Romano man crouched to his level. The feat was clear on his face as Angel told him to tell Dawson of what he'd just seen. When Angel and the others walked away, the guard pushed himself up onto his knees and vomited on the ground in front of him. Seeing what had happened to Albert and now seeing his friend's brains splattered on the ground was more than enough for him. He would spend some time getting his head together before returning inside to tell Dawson.

Meanwhile, Vinnie had been sure to remain inside the casino and finish off his drink, making a point by lingering around the place and making his presence known. Once his driver had pulled up outside the casino, one of Vinnie's men had rushed inside to inform him his ride home was waiting. As Vinnie stepped outside, he saw Angel and the others casually ride out from down the alley. He sent Angel a wave and a nod.

It wasn't long before Vinnie arrived home and headed straight into the house. He shouted for Alex and Nicolo to come to the lounge. He hadn't since Alex since the previous day, but he had been informed she was sporting a bruise on her face and he wanted to know why.

"Six years?" Leo asked, impressed she'd been working in the club for so long. "Damn, now I wish I'd started coming to this place much sooner," he flirted. But then he realised that sounded wrong, considering a few years ago she wasn't very old at all and that would make him a little creepy. "Wait, I mean... I just mean I'm glad I've heard you sing now," he said, blushing a little at his faux pas.

As she told him the story of how she accidentally got the job, he couldn't help but fondly smile as she spoke."That's so cool that Lenny was there to hear you sing. Some things are just meant to be, Athena. He looked to the gold pendant as she held it up, wondering if it held some sentiment to her. From experience, he was afraid to ask if it did in case it brought up some sort of sad or traumatic memories for her. "I think you'll get to follow your dream. The way you've got where you have, I think it's because it's meant to be and a bright future is written for you," he told her.

"I'm not even sure what I want to do, if I'm honest," he admitted to her. "I always said I'd study law, but I don't think I can afford that now. Never could." He had a lot of knowledge around the subject but none of that meant a thing without the right education and qualifications. "I guess I''ll keep working at the hotel and maybe one day be able to run my own place," he suggested.
