Lucy was quite fond of this game they had going between them. Neither of them wanted to be the first to admit to some sort of deep attraction, mostly because they were one in the same. Stubborn. Lucy loved a challenge though and wouldn't want to have this relationship with anyone else. It gave her something to look forward to. She gave a small sigh in agreement as he spoke, "If only my father would let me, he is only concerned about making sure Sinead and I don't get a pretty little bullet through our pretty little heads. And although I love him, he drives me up a wall with all the protection bullshit you know?" She asked before pressing her lips against her glass and taking a long drink. Her eyes lit up as he asked about what they should do to Monte. "Patience is a virtue that my dear younger siblings have yet to acquire, but I have a few ideas about what we can do to Monte."

Moving towards her closet, she reached into her top drawer and pulled out a small box containing a few different drugs. "I obtained these from a colleague at the university, he was kind enough to give me just enough." Pulling off the small lid, she took out the 4 small vials that were inside. "I love my father, but he is very very old fashioned. Chemical warfare." Lucy presented the vials to him before taking another sip of her drink.
"These babies will cause abrasions, blisters, rashes and anything you could think of. My idea is that we slip a drop into his drink and let the fun begin...it will be hard to trace it back to us so it will work out beautifully."

Alex blinked back the tears and got her emotions under control as she felt his hand rest on her shoulder. "That wasn't upset tears don't worry, I don't mind talking about it, its just I've never had a chance to as most people I know either work for my dad or are people I cant discuss family matters with as they won't understand or will tell the police" She said with a shrug. She couldn't help the laugh that came out as she looked around, sure enough Conor was right, it did look like the worst date ever. Her eyes lit up again as a playful smile came over her lips, the anger and tears faded in seconds, so fast that one would be unsure if Alex had actually been crying a second ago.
"Mr. Sullivan are you saying this is a date?" She spoke in a playful and flirtatious tone as she bit her lip. She heard his comment and smiled a genuine smile as she looked him in the eye "Apart from my meltdown, I'm having a great time" She hoped this was a date and did hope there was more to come. Being here with Conor, she didn't feel like the eldest daughter of the Romano Mafia, she felt like a normal girl who could go on dates and didn't have to look over her shoulder every five minutes to make sure she wasn't being watched, and she liked it. "I hope it was alright for you too" She added. "But I am curious why did you decide to talk to me last night?"

Maite

Maite was broken away from her thoughts when someone knocked on the front door of the Fox’s Den. It was sunday, not even 12 o’clock yet. Who needed a drink that bad? Then again, who was she to talk with her beer.

“Oh! Hi...I remember you...you’re the man who always orders juice.” She was instantly in a better mood at the sight of the suited man. Her demeanor turned sunny as she leaned against the door frame. “What, wanted a breakfast orange juice before church?” She crossed her good arm across her body, not willing to cross both arms in case she winced in pain.

"Well, Alex," Conor said, sitting straight, "you can talk to me about anything. I understand the kind of things you have to live with and I'm certainly not going to run to the cops with anything I hear." He watched as the waitress came by to collect their empty plates, giving the woman a grateful thumbs up.

"Mr. Sullivan? That's my dad's name. Call me Conor. Please, call me Conor, before it starts getting awkward," he said, grinning. He folded his arms, resting them on the table as he leaned in closer to Alex. "I'm also having a great time. I'd like to think this is a date... I want it to be," he told her. He gazed at her for a time, thinking of how pretty she was. He could look into those eyes all day if it wouldn't start to get weird. By now, he would have made a move and starting sweet-talking his date back to his place, but he felt different with Alex and didn't want whatever this was to be a wasted opportunity. She was different to anyone he'd dated before... if this really was a date.

"I've seen you near my pub a few times. When I saw you looking at me last night and flashing that cute little smile of yours, I decided to worry about your family later and stop trying to ignore you. Last night I was in the mood to take risks and live a little dangerously, which is why I didn't care if anyone saw me with you." He blushed a little. "I'm glad I decided to give in to my curiosity as you're even more attractive and interesting close up." He then decided to fire Alex's question back at her. "And what about you? Why have you been hanging around my pub, going against your father, to see me?"

James Porter

James listened as Lucy spoke about how Emmet treated her, keeping a straight face throughout. "I can see why he's so protective. He loves you and Sinead, so wouldn't want either of you to be hurt because of his businesses. Sinead is vulnerable and defenceless, so Emmet is right to be so concerned. But I can see you're stronger than he's giving you credit for and he would do well to realise that so he can benefit from what you can bring to the table. You're a tough lady, Lucy."

As she presented the small box to him and explained what she had in mind, he looked up to her with an impressed expression on his face. He carefully held one of the vials between his thumb and index finger, closely inspecting it for a brief time. "Aren't you a cunning one, Lucy," he remarked, placing the vial back in its place. "I was planning on kidnapping him and torturing him for a few days, but this is something else... How do you propose we slip it into his drink? Enlist in a willing barmaid to do it for us?"

It was a cold rainy morning in Chicago and the atmosphere was already intense. Fish Taccetta's gang members were beating the staff member who stole Fish Taccetta's money. The beating was led by Butch Graziano, a Romano gangster and Fish Taccetta's second-in-command. He ordered the two associates to beat the staff member to death. The staff member is heavily injured and his face were covered with blood and bruises, he was screaming as he got beaten by the gangsters. Fish Taccetta and his umbrella-man Oswald van Dahl makes an appearance at the scene. Oswald uses the umbrella to cover him and Fish from the rain.

"Stop!" Fish said as she swings her baseball bat.

The beating would stop and the two unnamed gangsters stood there like a disciplined soldiers-in-line. Butch shift his attention to Fish and then back to the beaten staff member, crossing his arms and smirks at him. Oswald would accompany Fish as she slowly go down the wet stairs to confront the staff member who stole Fish's money to her. As she finally confronted the staff member, she lift the defenseless staff member's collar to make him kneel and after that Fish would hit his chest several times by using his baseball bat and the beaten staff member can't bear the pain anymore which Fish noticed. She lift his collar again to make him kneel but this time, she wouldn't beat the hell out of this staff member.

"I still care for you deeply but I don't believe that you still care for me anymore." Fish said. The beaten staff member would interrupt, "Ah-..Ah-.. I-.. I-.. sti-still.. ca-..ca..care-..for yuh!" The staff member said as he struggles from the chest pain.

"Then where's my money?!" Fish said as she leaned her face forward to the beaten staff member, showing her cheeky teeth to the staff member. "Ah..I-...I-.. ga-.. got... ih-.." and then Fish would hit his chest again by using her bat which made the staff member fell, struggling from the pain. Meanwhile, Oswald was satisfied and yet shocked as the staff member fell which he moved his position including the umbrella. The rain drops on Fish which made her got irritated to her umbrella-man Oswald.

"Boy!" She growled. Oswald quickly covers Fish from the rain.

"Sorry." Oswald replied.

"If you let this hair go freezy, you will be." Fish replied back. Oswald looked down and sniffs. He let out a sigh. Fish noticed the bartender who approached her.

"Ma'dam, Mr. Bullock is here." Fish raised her eyebrows and shift her attention towards the staff member and then to Butch Graziano and the two unnamed gangsters. "Keep him warm." Fish said as she gives the bat to Butch.

"Yes, ma'am!" One of the unnamed gangsters replied. Fish Taccetta and the bartender would leave the scene as the bartender covered Fish by using his vest. They would confront Mr. Bullock, who is a police sergeant in the Chicago Police Department.

After Fish Taccetta and the bartender left the scene. Butch looks at Oswald who is currently looking down at the wet floors. "Hey, Oswald." Butch said. Oswald looked at him. "You wanna turn?" Butch said as he offered the bat to Oswald.

"May I?" Oswald questioned Butch.
"Make yourself up, umbrella boy." Butch said as Oswald grabs the bat.
"Thank you, Mister Graziano." Oswald smiled. The staff member was looking at Oswald, shaking his head. Oswald pat his shoulder which the staff member started to get afraid at him, Oswald begins to laugh at Butch while Butch just smirked at him. Oswald hits the staff member's head by using Fish's bat. Oswald laugh as he shift his gaze towards to the unnamed gangsters.

"Where have I been?" Both of them would kiss each other in a friendly way. Harold's partner, Jake would look at them as they kissed each other, he was somehow confused. "Who's the friend?" Fish smiled as she asks Harold.

"Detective Jake Anderson, ma'am." Jake said. Fish shifts her head towards James. "Hmm, aren't you a cool glass of milk." Fish said, referring to James' skin tone.

"Ma'am, was that screamingly heard back there?" Jake asked Fish as he frowned a bit. "Yes. My boy is watching a scary movie." Fish sarcastically replied as she smiled at Jake. "Really?" Jake replied. "No. Actually one of my staff is stealing money from me. So, we beaten his punk ass."

"Relax, junior. Fish gets the real way." Harold said to Jake, he continued as he shift his attention back to Fish Taccetta, "Stuff from rough characters, need from handle." "Terrible thing for the victims." and then the scream of the beaten staff member was heard throughout the nightclub. Her expression turned serious as she looked at the two police detectives leaving her nightclub.

"Just relax, we are almost there, Jim." Luca had to think on what to do once he left James on the Sullivan household. He could go to the pub, get his drink and get waisted, which sometime was really for him? he could try to find Kate and flirt with her? Or maybe he could just fine that member from the Romano's who had been spying on on them for him and give him his goodbye present? oh the choices, they were all such inviting ideas that he couldn't decide. Now that he though about it, was it alright for him to try to flirt with her? He knew that she was more friendly with the Romies, while she only knew a few stuff about the Sullivan, mostly because he had to deliver some of the injured members on her clinic. Yesterday was the first time he had spoken with her for the first time, having actually normally talked to her without being or bringing a patient.

Luca had to sigh mostly because he didn't want to get ahead of himself. After all, at the very last minute something could be happening and if he was off somewhere, what kind of right hand man would he be if he left Emmett and the next others to deal with it. He was loyal to the Sullivan and him no matter the cost, they where the only people who he could consider his family even if he wasn't related.

Finally, they have arrived. Luca had to honk the horn once he was outside before parking the car, motioning for James to follow him. He could come pick up the luggage later, he had to introduce him to the boss. "Knock knock." He yelled out once he entered the house, having somehow found the front door unlocked, maybe it was unlocked by one of the workers. Even if he opened the door, he didn't go inside.

Lucy chuckled softly, "Barmaids are far to annoying to deal with, I will slip it in myself. Man is a fool with his hands and his liquor. One swipe of his drink in the club and that's all we will need." She murmured before taking another sip of her drink. Tapping her finger against the side of it, she began to think out loud. "The Germans began experimenting with these chemicals back in the 30s, saying that it made the body react in a way that almost seemed to be caused by something natural. Because the body will try to expel whatever it is from itself, it will turn Monte incredibly weak and hopefully useless....that's when the real fun should begin."

"I would like you to accompany me when I do this of course, not that I couldn't do such a thing by myself, but it would keep me clear of conscious is I had someone to protect me." She shrugged and gave him a teasing smile. Lucy always wanted James around, but not for the most appropriate of things...thoughts going elsewhere, she quickly shook her head before taking the last gulp of her drink.. Sighing, she glanced in James' direction,"I sincerely hope this is something you can help me with."

Alex smiled at Conor "Thanks its good to know I can talk to someone". She smiled at the waitress and said thanks before turning her attention back to Conor. She laughed at his comment about calling his father. Alex leaned forward when Conor did. "Well Conor ..." she stressed his name and stayed silent for a few seconds building up the tension "It was a wonderful first date" she smiled "I think the next date should maybe involve alcohol, a persons drunk self is an important aspect to learn" she added speaking like an old woman but the playful tone was present still. She hoped he wanted to go on another date and that she wasn't just picking up on something that wasn't there, but one who never asks never recieves so she decided against her fear and said it anyway hoping she wouldnt get rejected.
Alex couldnt help but smile when he mentioned seeing her and she found his blush to be very attractive, it made her like him even more. "I went on an adventure past your pub one day and saw you behind the bar, I don't know I couldnt just walk in and talk to you so I hoped if I kept walking past youd eventually come out or Id catch you on your way out" she blushed as she realised that she had said all that out loud and too him, hell she had never even admitted that was the reason to herself. "Well I'm glad you stopped ignoring me last night" she added.

Angel watched the service blatantly, a look of utter boredom struck across his face. The only thing that would shake him is the priest announcing a pop quiz at the end. He wasn't exactly a religious guy. If his car were leaking oil, he wouldn't hesitate to use the bible to soak it up. Speaking of, his eyes drifted towards the book. Opening the pages, he scanned them with a look of astonishment. Churches were able to extort people without violence, well, at least nowadays. They just had to give themselves a right of passage within the holy book to fool people. Angel was more impressed than anything. "They've been doing this for hundreds of years," Angel thought. ", but when I do it, i'm a 'bad guy'." He shoved the book back in the crevice of the wooden bench. Crossing his arms, he watched the duration of the service.

He stepped out to the church doors with Fortuna and Vinnie. He listened to Vinnie as he give Angel orders, keeping his eyes on the flooding crowd. He smiled slightly, seeing this as the perfect excuse to buy that new blazer. "Consider it done." He nodded to both Vinnie and Fortuna before making his way to his car.

Alena felt discouraged at times and now she felt completely hopeless. Why was she feeling like shit so much of the time? She works hard or at least tries to meet up to her father's expectations but she feels as if every time she tries to she takes a step back. She takes a step back because she fears that her father will not like what she has done or he'll judge her. Alena let out a soft sigh as she wiped her tears away with a handkerchief that she had with her, it had her families name on it. Alena cleared her throat when she heard someone approaching her. Alena quickly turned and saw that it was her father, she saw that his facial expressions had lightened up and softened as he made his way towards her. Alena took a small step back, she gathered all her thoughts before telling him her answer. "Nothing is wrong, and besides that, I have nothing to bottle up." She lied as she kept a straight face on. She saw that her father was trying to help her, but at times she felt as if he was too late in helping her. Alena felt lost and distressed.

Alena let out a soft sigh as a moment of silence went past her and her father,"There is nothing to discuss." Alena told him trying to put on a brave face. Alena would sure miss her father deep down if she runs away after the party in a couple of days. "I prefer to not say anything, given the fact that we are at church and I was at fault here. I should not have let my guard down and let the weak side of myself show today." Alena told him sternly as she started to make her way past him, "If you will, please excuse me." Alena said to him.

"I don't always..." Jon stopped. The last time he'd been at the bar, he'd ordered juice. That was more than a week ago, and if memory served him right, he'd ordered juice the time before then too. He gave a small smile. "Then how much for a glass of water? If it isn't too much trouble." Jon glanced from the unlit interior of the bar to where Maite was standing.

She seemed comfortable, leaning casually against the door frame. But her arm was crossed at a strange angle across her body. It was as if she was trying not to move the other arm too much. Did she pull a muscle while working last night? Would it be out of place for him to suggest she hire more helpers on busy nights? He wasn't sure if she even knew his name; he was just another odd customer she had to deal with on a semi-regular basis. Why had he decided to bother her on a Sunday morning? Jon suddenly realized he'd been absentmindedly staring at Maite's collarbone for a long time.

He shook his head and tried to think of something clever to say. "I've never been to church."

James firmly nodded his head as Lucy expressed he wanted him to accompany her when she attacks Monte. "Of course, Lucy. I would have been there whether you wanted me to be or not," he assured her. If she was going to go ahead with this, he'd be damned if he left her go ahead without any backup. "I will help you with this. I'm not going to let you do it alone and you know how much I'm going to enjoy watching Monte, or any Romano, suffer."

He finished the rest of his drink before placing the glass down on the nearest hard surface. "Now, Lucy, Unless there's anything else," he began, placing a casual arm around her shoulder and flashing a devious smile. "Well, unless there's anything else, I should get my head down for a couple of hours sleep. I don't expect there'll be much rest over the next few days and there's only so much sleep I can get whilst sitting around in my car."

Conor Sullivan

untitled-png.318834

When Alex suggested their next date should involve drinks, Conor couldn't help but laugh. "Now you're speaking my language. You'll never keep up, though. I can't have a dainty little thing like you falling all over the place, can I?" he joked. It was true, however, that he would have to make sure he didn't drink the amount he often did as that could lead them both into trouble. "So it's agreed. Our next date will involve drinks - perhaps a nice neutral bar?" he suggested.

Conor smiled fondly as Alex told him her story about hanging around his pub and hoping he would eventually step out. "So, what you're saying is you're my stalker? I guess I should be worried, but you can stalk me all you want," he playfully flirted. When the waitress left their bill on the table, Conor glanced to the total as he automatically removed his wallet from his pocket. He took out more than enough cash to cover the whole bill and a tip, not giving Alex chance to think about paying anything.

"Well, I suppose we should get going," Conor reluctantly suggested. He knew he couldn't stay with her all day, as much as he wanted to. He walked with her to the exit, holding the door open for her so she could step outside. "My car is parked around the corner. I can drop you off somewhere close to home." he offered. Close, but not too close. He then noticed one of the Sullivan members walking a distance away and towards their direction. Without warning, Conor placed his arm around Alex and led her down the narrow alley between the diner and some residential building. "There's someone who can't see you here," he whispered to her. He kept his eyes on the street and was relieved as the man walked by without seeing them. As he caught his breath, Conor realised he was stood very close to and facing Alex. "You're dangerous," he teased, looking to her mouth as he spoke. Letting the moment take over, he leaned in to kiss Alex's lips.

Shannon Sullivan

Capture.PNG
Shannon had been tidying around the living room, hearing bits of Emmet's and Sinead's conversation, especially when her daughter became excitable about going shopping. It was much nicer to hear her daughter giddy over buying clothing than hearing the detached tone she'd been speaking in previously. As she heard the honk outside, she peered out of the window to see Luca parking the car.

When Luca stepped into the house, Shannon was leant against the wall with one hand on her hip and a curious expression on her face. "Good morning, Luca," she greeted him, in the usual serious but somehow warm tone she tended to address him with. "Who is your friend?" she asked, glancing to the stranger.

With Sinead standing by the stairs waiting for her father to take her shopping, Shannon wondered if this was a serious visit. She knew for sure that she wouldn't be taking her daughter shopping as she had her own business to tend to this morning.

Alex smirked at his comment "I could drink you under the table". Due to her Italian blood and the quantity Alex was used to drinking, it took alot of alcohol to make Alex drunk. Which she found was both a good and bad thing, she didnt always make a show off herself, however it did cost a bit to get to a drunk stage. "Yeah a neutral bar would be ideal" the fact her dad really only stuck to a few places meant it was easy enough for Alex to go out without being caught by him. "Ah I wouldn't go as far as stalker" she laughed. Although in truth she probably was a stalker, but it worked out well for her.
Alex reached for her purse but before she had time to pay her half, he had already covered the bill and tip, "Right drinks are on me next time then!" She said "but thank you I've had a great time".
As they walked out Alex was back on high alert in case her family went for a drive after church "ah no I don't live far from here so I can walk " she had just finished speaking when she was pulled down an alley by Conor. When he said it was clear Alex let out a breathe she hadn't realised she was holding, that was very close but they were lucky, this time. She looked from the path to Conor and realised how close he was "Dangers my middle name" she teased before leaning forward to kiss him back.

Luca nodded at Shannon as she greeted him. "Good morning Shannon, Emmett sent me to bring in the new guy here, so I brought him here." He responded while crossing his arm and tilting his head. "It would seem that Emmett didn't remember that I had told him a while ago that we where gonna have someone new to join the family, now I must leave him here and go find him an apartment before coming back to pick him and finally having a drink." He needed to find the new guy somewhere to live mostly because the guy had recently arrived here from America and getting him accustomed to the way they worked was important, so leaving him to Emmett was good. That way Emmett can give him the run down on what he had to do and what things where expected of him. "It would be alright for him to meet him now or do I have to bring him some other time?" He questioned while giving one glance to Sinead and giving her a small smile.

When Alex said she could drink him under the table, he couldn't help but grin. This girl was going to be too much fun and he couldn't wait. When she said the drinks were on her next time, he simply nodded. With the amount he could drink and the apparently large volume she also could, he wasn't going to let her pay for everything, but they could squabble over that later.

After they had kissed, Conor displayed a boyish smile and briefly held both of her hands. "Well, Alex Danger Romano, I will see you on our next date," he told her, letting go of her hands. "Have a safe walk home," he seriously told her. He would let Alex walk away on her own, but would watch her from a distance until he was sure she was away from any potentially unsafe areas. As he walked back to his car, he could help but feel a slight annoyance; he'd just had a date with a great girl and he couldn't even tell anyone about her. When he got back into his car, he didn't immediately set off. He was now trying to think of how he would get his own revenge on those who had targeted Sinead. He wished he could find out who had been in her apartment.

Shannon and Sinead Sullivan

"Ohh, welcome to the madness," Shannon greeted James, outstretching her arm to shake his hand. When Luca asked if now was a good time for the new guy to meet Emmet, Shannon shrugged her shoulders and looked to where her husband was. "Only Mr. Sullivan himself can answer that one for you," she told him.

"Hey, Luca!" Sinead said, sending him a small wave and a smile. "I hope you're keeping out of trouble," she told him. Obviously he wouldn't be, but she liked to say it to him anyway. "Thank you for going to my apartment with Conor last night," she added.

"I would say I'm not, but today I am mostly because I haven't done anything besides bringing Newbie here." Luca answer her while placing his hand on his head. "Well I'm about to go see the apartment close by, anything that I need to bring or add to my list?" He could had said something else but he didn't feel like doing that. "Maybe head over to the pub once I'm done but beside him, there's no new member to add so I got nothing to do after."

Alex looked up at him a smile playing on her lips "Till next time" She added with a wink before turning around and walking in the direction of home. She decided on taking a few shortcuts down some alleys and side streets so to get home quicker and preferably before her family got home from church. She couldn't keep the smile of her face as she walked but was slightly annoyed that she couldn't tell anyone off this great date with a great guy.
Alex reached home in no time and looked around to see if the cars were around, seeing no-one she walked up to the house and let herself in. "I'm Home" She called through the house. Upon getting no reply she walked in to the sitting room and lay on the couch, taking a cigarette and lighting it as she put it to her lips. She kept replaying the date in her head and grin present on her lips that she couldn't wipe off, why did she have to fall hard for the guy her father hates. She sighed as she popped her shoes off and lay on the couch more comfortably waiting for her family to come home.

Emmet Sullivan
Emmet had a hint of a smile play across his lips as Sinead put away the cooking utensils, handing him back the pan he'd offered her. After a moment of deliberation, he put away the pan, scooping his weapon off the table and heading back upstairs to don some more appropriate attire for the city. Browsing his closet, he settled on a nice, fairly plain looking getup; a button up dress shirt and black slacks paired with a pair of fine leather shoes. Dressing himself, he turned in the mirror, eyes catching on his face, which looked more haunted than ever. He frowned, twisting his beard his fingers before turning away. Certainly, his life was taking a toll on him. Gun hidden on hip, he left the room to return to his daughter.
Descending down the stairs, Emmet's more pleasant demeanor shifted as he saw Luca. His intention was to take Sinead out, but he'd forgotten about his business matters while caught up in family affairs. Nodding to Shannon, and giving her a quick kiss on the cheek he looked at Luca, then the newcomer, eying the young man up and down.
"Thank you Luca." He offered a broad, calloused hand to James. "And you are?"
Emmet felt bad for Sinead, but decided he'd still take her, albeit later in the day.

“For you, you can have all the tap water in the world on the house.” She led the way inside and took out a clean glass, filling it with water. She withheld it, though, a smile creeping on her face. “Just, one thing. What is your name? I keep seeing you around but I’ve never heard it. Then again we should probably introduce ourselves more formally. Maite, Maite Azarola.” She offered him the glass as if to shake it with him.

The walk home was a quiet one. Terese resumed her puddle jumping, with Ander holding her hand tightly to make sure she didn’t run off. Danny was glad that he didn’t have to talk to Vinnie. The man shook him to the core, and he didn’t exactly know why. Still, no use worrying about the unseen demons. He was surprised to see Lloyd up. The man tended to sleep in.

“Morning, Lloyd!” His demeanor instantly lightened as he took a cup of coffee from the pitcher.

Lucy's cheeks turned a light pink as James placed his arm casually around her shoulder. She smiled shyly and shook her head firmly once, although there was probably other things that she could think of for him to do...they weren't at all appropriate nor practical. Her father would never allow such a relationship. At least, she was almost positive he wouldn't. But then again, she was an adult, she could most certainly do whoever she wanted. But James and her had known each other for years, starting something up would only put a strain on what they already had and right now, she needed his help.

"That will be all James." She murmured. "Go get some rest, you definitely deserve it. Thank you again." She said before grabbing his hand that was resting on her shoulder and turning out from underneath it. She placed her lips to the top of his knuckles before releasing his hand and turning away. "Sleep well."

Sinead and Conor Sullivan

When it became apparent the shopping trip was postponed, Sinead glanced to her father before walking away from her parents and heading into the lounge where she slumped down on the sofa.

Meanwhile, Conor entered the house to see his parents, Luca and new James near the bottom of the stairs. "Morning, all!" he cheerfully greeted them. He saw Sinead out of the corner of his eye and went into the lounge to ask her how she was. When she mentioned the postponed trip out with her father, which she expected would be cancelled altogether knowing business, Conor shrugged his shoulders and casually told her he could take her.

"It's not about going shopping, Conor," Sinead replied, through gritted teeth. "Now I remember why it felt so good to move out of here. Business before family," she noted.

"Well, um..." Conor began, really not ready to get into a debate. "So you don't want to go shopping?!"

"Yes, Conor. I do want to go shopping," Sinead replied, standing up and grabbing her bag. She rushed to the front door and out to her brother's car. Conor followed behind her, sending Emmet a look that said everything would be fine. He figured this was just a little outburst given the tension in the house and she'd be normal again later.

When Angel arrived at Smithson's large clothes store, he would find Peter Smithson stood at the main cash register deeper in the shop. The man was in his late fifties and always seemed like a nice, decent man. He certainly didn't raise any suspicions that he was friendly with a mob boss.

"Mr. Masciarelli!" he greeted Angel. "I've been expecting you. Have you come to collect Mr. Romano's new suit?" he asked. It was obvious what he was really asking.

James Porter

When Lucy told James to go get some rest, he'd have prefered an alternative suggestion, but sleep would be the second best option. He would be patient. "It's been a pleasure, as always," he told her, smiling as she kissed his hand.

Once James had left Lucy, he made use of the bathroom before going downstairs and out to his car in the driveway. He figured the family would be awake soon, so there was no point trying to sleep in the lounge. Instead, he would catch some sleep in the back of his car, like he had done many times before. That is where he remained until presently.

Jon followed Maite into the bar and walked over to the counter to wait for his drink. He was glad she wasn't put off by his early visit, since it was now obvious to him that the Fox's Den wasn't open on Sunday mornings.

"Thank you, Maite." Jon took the glass that Maite offered and returned her smile with a brief nod. He thought maybe he was smiling too much and she would find that strange. "I'm Jon Xin..." he paused to take a drink of water. "...is your arm alright, if you don't mind me asking?" Jon glanced away from Maite for a moment and noticed the empty space by the right window where a booth table used to be. The very table that Jon now remembered he'd forgotten to order a replacement for.

He slowly raised the glass to his lips and took a small sip, put the glass down, and smiled apologetically at Maite. Perhaps he was being a bother. Yes, he was.

Luca had nodded once Emmett came and immediately left to go do his job. He knew of a little apartment that was being rented and he could get that apartment for new James. He didn't have anything to do at all but he liked to do his things fast or else he wouldn't be where he was at today. Right after arriving, Luca had done everything to get it and when he did, he had placed the bag inside before heading off the clinic to invite Kate to go have a drink with him. He knew it would be a while before he went back to the apartment and gave New James the key. Maybe he should had taken to wherever Sinead wanted to go? She did seem distress over not being able to go with Emmett somewhere.

Vincenzo Romano

Vinnie was exhausted by Alena's response to his concern. They were both stubborn and it had taken a lot out of him to approach her with such an open heart and mind.. She was bottling things up and he wouldn't stay patient for long. The last thing he wanted was for her problems to consume her. He knew she resented him for being so strict, but he also knew he would never forget the torment he and Gianna had gone through the entire time Alena had been kidnapped.

After a brief time to compose himself, Vinnie returned to the front of the church, completely bypassing Alena as he did. She found her own way to the church so she could find her own way home. Before leading Gianna back to the car, he approached Monte. "Son, can you make sure you're home in a few hours? I need you and Angel to arrange some more business tonight. The Sullivans thought they could cross us last night, so it's time to strike them again. We'll keep doing it until they have nothing left." Vinnie walked with Gianna back to the car, leaving everyone else behind to get themselves home.

Leo had probably been one of the most willing to be listening to the sermon in church. He wasn't strictly religious, but he was always interested in listening to what was being taught and preached. Whether he believed it or not, it was still knowledge he was happy to develop. He was about to approach Monte to see if they were going out for drinks that night when he saw Alena returning from the back of the church. She looked upset and it didn't appear that anyone else had noticed. After thinking it over in his head, he decided to approach her.

"Alena! Are you alright?" he asked her, concern in his voice. He noticed Vinnie rush past and eventually make his way to the car without waiting for Alena. "What has your old man done now? Do you need a ride home?" he asked, knowing how strained the relationship between Vinnie and his daughters could be.

Kate Henderson

Kate had been having a very bland Sunday morning, cleaning around the house and doing some reading. The side door to her house led directly to the room she had kitted out as a private clinic. When she heard someone at the side door, she could only assume there was an ally in need of medical assistance on the quiet. Tossing a cloth aside, she went to open the entrance to the clinic. She saw Luca stood outside the door and tilted her head as she looked at him curiously. "It's Sunday and I haven't even had lunch yet - surely you're not injured already?!" she asked, folding her arms and smirking. "You don't look injured," she noted.

Luca hadn't even had time to knock to enter the clinic when Kate had suddenly appeared in front of him. He must had been thinking too much that he was caught off guard. When she said that he didn't look injured, he acted as if he was in pain and held his chest while tying to hold the smirk that wanted to come out. "Well there's this little pain on this area." He pointed to his chest while looking at her. "The only way for it to go away is if you would have lunch with me." He knew that he was being stupid acting like he was in pain but he just wanted to be seen like someone that could joke, and make those serious comment about him go away, he wasn't always serious, he just didn't have time to do anything fun.
