Fantasy The MPC Rushes Story, Cont.

ok, thread edited to clear up some things (Grim's two post and Fitz explosive episode), summary posted so everyone know who's where. I will ask that everyone holds off for, say, a few hours or so before resuming? just so that certain people arent running off and scattering the party again.

Aside from that, please, skim over it, start forming ideas about where you want to go next.

I hope that everyone is having a good time and are enjoying the move to here to continue your story.

Till next time,

Nice work!!!

Bother, I was rather hoping someone would have the company end up in Victorian London, with the likes of Jack the Ripper and Sherlock Holmes. xD No matter, I think that this can still take an interesting turn...

Also, I don't know if anyone else has popped over to MPC to check on matters, but I would say we made a good call in pulling up stakes when we did.

Sorry! I'm not sure I can write Holmes without too much Mark Gatiss creeping in. It would just end up being Sherlock fanfic, and I already feel like I'm seeing shades of Doctor Who. ;)

Oh, come now, I wouldn't let it get that far along! Or even let those characters come into play. I merely thought it would provide for an interesting period to run amok without needing some great calamity to propel you guys along. Indeed, after last night events, i would have said you lot deserved a moment of rest and exploration, a bit of character development and what not. NO MATTER!!! I shall have the air raid commencing shortly and send the shock-troops in to mop up after! ;P

Oh, I know! I don't mean you...just me! :) Funny thing is, I was already considering a solo jump to London 1666. But, alas, no Big Ben at that point! Ha!

I figure an air raid is a good excuse to hole up somewhere safe and underground for a bit, and that gives us the opportunity for some character development.

That is true, but being the early stages of WWII, I'm sure someone in our party *cough*noble Fitz*cough* will seek to charge in and roust the Nazi menace. :P Let's just hope it doesn't go that way just yet...

Good people management, and I feel like you have excellent scheming habits.
Well, my Profile Pic is of the Joker...I only hope I am not directing the story in a direction that no one wants. Likewise, I want to ask how everyone would feel with implementing rolls of fate/chance throughout the story? Seeing as our dear Grim is in pursuit of his query, combat or skills may be required and, while it's nice, I would hate for this to only be driven by narrative, with no bits of random chance playing a factor in story progression. And since RPnation has the ability to "roll dice", perhaps we can implement it? Because, no matter how almighty and powerful you lot may think you are, sometimes fate can stir things in other ways!

Personally, I prefer the narrative driven story. For me that's what makes it exciting, forcing us to be creative with what our fellow characters hand us...not unlike real life. :) That said, if the consensus is that games of chance are in I'll play along!

Good morning! Jeez, I slept late. I'd be ok with dice rolling, but that would require us to come up with a set of rules. I wouldn't want the dice rolls to become the central part of the game. I play in several D&D games already, lol. Though I have given Lisbeth a fair amount of power, I try not to abuse it and I will try to leave any segment in which she expends that power open-ended so that others can determine if she succeeded or not.

If and when Blott does anything interesting, I'll leave it open ended as well. I wouldn't mind dice rolls in the future, but it would require more structure and rules to be set up, which seems a but clumsy to do in the middle of things. Maybe if we do this again in the future (which I would most enjoy) we could discuss the possibility before we start.

London is probably my favorite city in the world, but I haven't been back since binge watching Sherlock for the first time earlier this year. :)

How was the Doctor Who Experience?

Oh man!! Only just now?!? Well I just went in Late Aug early Sept. I love it. I went there and Scotland and Ireland. I love Sherlock though and if you didn't know...Altamonte is an Alias used by Sherlock Holmes in the Novels;p

I know, I know...I'm late to the party! But it has made the unbearable wait for the next season slightly less tortuous for me than for the rest of the fandom. :)

I need to catch up on Sherlock. I watched whatever was on Netflix... last year, I think? So, the first two seasons, maybe? Dr. Who I've never seen. The last and only time I've been to London was 15 years ago when I was an angsty, broody teen, so I would dearly like to go back now that I'm an adult and would probably enjoy it more.

Ha that is true but only slightly as we are only getting a 1 off Christmas Special that really has nothing to do with anything. It might as well be fan fiction BUT I am looking forward to it. When I was there I saw Cumberbatch in Hamlet! It was an awesome production! Other great shows though..Check out Luther!
