Well, I'm having an anxiety attack in the middle of the night, so I might as well try to do something constructive.
I feel that someone needs to step in here, and since Ark seems to be absent at the moment, I'm going to make an attempt. Fitz and Alaster: you guys need to work this out. As a third party, I'm seeing fault on both sides here.
Alaster, it's my opinion that using Lucien to make Fitz faint is in violation of the rules. Shutting Fitz down and removing him from the scene is a major decision. If you don't like what he's doing, hash it out via private message. If you don't know how to send one, you could ask him to message you here in OOC.
Fitz, I don't think anyone else is really picking up on what you're going for. I tried a bit with my last post, but I'm just not sure what your character is getting at. Aliens? What? I think that's part of why we haven't been able to progress the scene.
I know I'm not the GM, but we just made the rules and we're already, quite literally, at each other's throats. If we can't function when Ark isn't here, then this RP won't last because we have real lives and can't all be here 24/7.
Ok, rant over. I'm going to try to lower my heart rate and go back to sleep.

One day!!! I'm gone for one day, dealing with RL stuff and everything goes bottoms up!!!! I said to check the egos at the door and I was talking about you two, Grim and Fitz!!! I'm going to look at the story and see if I can get us back on track but this may be the final straw for one or both of you!

How could you not notice?! This is a text based RP, meaning you read it and majority of the events that unfolded last night were due to you and Fitz! There was no communication outside of the story to try and clarify what he was trying to do and no cross talk to see how to handle things, instead you two go right back into egos flaring!!! And I've about had it!!!

OK, so, a LOT of shit happened in my absence yesterday. A lot of it not good or productive. So, I've posted in the Story tab and I'm reiterating it here, no one post in the Story until I can summarize and try to smooth over what's happened. As of right now, I'm leaning towards Lucien was playing mind games with everyone, which caused the scene that unfolded. If everyone is agreeable to that, that's what I shall write and we'll go from there. If Fitz still wants to throw conspiracy theories and try to "spice things up", I'd advice that you aren't exactly a cook and to stay out of the kitchen. I'd like to continue this and get things back on track.

It's been decided that, in order to avoid things getting out of hand as they did last night, I will be taking on the role of Backup GM for when Ark is not available.

Ok, ladies and gentleman, to help alleviate the events of last night, and to keep them from happening again, some Addendum's are being added to the general guidlines.
Firstly, while I am Lead DM, Lisbeth will now be joining as my assistant DM, as she just mentioned. While I applaud the efforts to try and jazz things up, from now on, if you have a crazy idea of something that you would like to do to shift the story, PM myself and/or Lisbeth, so that we may talk it out first before you go headlong and get something going that no one else was privy to.
One other thing that should help avoid another situation is posting a week at a time projection of your individual hours that you would be on here for RP. We all have Lives outside of this and things change, Semper Gumbii, so if you know that you are likely to be absent for an extended period, post here and also send a message to myself and Lisbeth so that we can adjust appropriately and make sure no one is left behind. I neglected to do this yesterday, and as such was not able to curtail the situation before it spiraled out of control. The result is Grim has decided to leave the group.
This has been a bumpy road for us due to its largely organic nature of how events unfold. We are trying to keep things going and as such its going to require work and compromises occasionally from everyone involved. Hopefully, the above adjustments, coupled with our Guidelines from yesterday, help get us back on track to this being a fun experience for everyone.
And finally, the Story tab is back open for posting.

Tuesday, 12/8: 9:30am-5:30pm
Wednesday, 12/9: 1:00pm-5:00pm
Thursday, 12/10: 9:30am-5:30pm
Friday, 12/11: Off
Saturday 12/12: Family obligations in the day, followed by evening plans at the theatre
Sunday 12/13: I may have daytime plans, but should be available in the evening
I'll post the following week's schedule on Sunday, 12/13. I will endeavor to check the forum on my phone when I can, even if I'm at work or otherwise busy. PMs will get to me in my email if you need me.

I'm usually able to at the very least monitor and typically fully participate between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, while I'm at the office. I have standing commitments Monday (6 to 8:30 p.m.), Thursday (5:30 to 8:30 p.m.) and Saturday (8:30 to 11:30 a.m.) but am otherwise usually around in the evenings. Weekends can be busy for me...or not. So I'll make sure to let y'all know if I'm going to be out of touch. This weekend will be one of those times as I have family coming in to town Friday afternoon and leaving hopefully around noon Sunday. I may be able to be on early mornings/late nights but will be sporadic. (Although I will definitely need a break, so I may have to hide out in a closet with my laptop from time to time...)

I'm wondering if we should have a discussion about where we want to go with this. I'm not saying that we should plot out the entire story, but do you think having a general plan might help us to avoid situations like what happened last night? Maybe even just a brief talk about the next step? If you would all rather keep going with completely organic storytelling, I'm ok with that. I just wanted to open the floor to the possibility, and see what everyone's thoughts were.

No, I think that's an excellent idea, Lisbeth. Sadly, I've got nothing. I posted because the silence was so deafening, but I'm not sure where to go next. And maybe--before we even think about the very next step--we should think about where we're going in general. What's our goal? I'm interpreting our goal as trying to determine who the Knights Order is, why they're after Genevieve and Lisbeth (and possibly others) and what their evil plans are...then foiling those evil plans. Thanatos is wrapped up in that, too. Is this still where we want to ultimately go with the main plot?

Sorry to be in and out tonight. Since I've been on the mend I haven't been able to take care of much, so I'm doing a LOT of much-needed laundry as well as taking care of dinner.
Lisbeth's Book also has the power to transport us to other worlds, but I don't want Lisbeth's abilities to always be front and center since that's not fair to everyone else.
