Fantasy (。◕‿◕。)The Lunar Lotus Inn(。◕︵◕。) [All Are Welcome~]

Sat there with all the patience in the world. Twirling a lone strand of hair as her gaze never left him. He spoke about the dagger which surprised her a little bit. Joselyn thought he would be reluctant to speak about it. So this item had a possession about it. No more like the item itself was possessed by something. Catching the little display he offered to her after the explanation.

Nibbling her bottom lip as she raised a brow at the last of his words. Joselyn wouldn't answer that right away. "
Of course you aren't the only one with a misstep it happens more than one realizes. You live a life and entered a part of it that took something from you. Whether you can get it back is dependent on this dagger as you just said. If you really want them back I hope you succeed in this small plan of yours.." Sitting up some as she let go of her hair letting her hand rest stop the bar.

Why would he ask about this particular thing? Joselyn almost never grants it to just anyone. It was something deemed worthy of the person. Mortality was precious enough as it was. Shrugging some as she spoke as her gaze looked straight at Cali's own. "
No, this gift isn't free. It never is. For me I wasn't given this option. It was forced on me, but I accepted it. I did hate it. I wasn't able to see the sun rise, have a real family, live to a real mortal age. When time passes I soon forgot those ideals and accepted this. I've come to love this, who I am. I never just give to someone. I need to have a certain attachment with the person, and I need to teach certain things. No matter I still leave it as a choice so long as the cost is understood. You can never go back to your former life.." A wistful look fell upon her face for a moment as she spoke. Just because she accepted things doesn't mean she can't miss the ideal once in a blue moon. Shaking her head with a small chuckle as she looked back at him. Hoping that was answer enough.

@Fenris

Fear shook his head. "Wrath is his son. He's dead." Fear walked over to Misery and saw Misery holding a young dead boy. He had red eyes and hair. Misery was still howling, and the chains were still flinging around. Fear sat next to the cloaked man with the mask. He wrapped an arm around the man.

@Stormyface

"What happened?" Alagos kept his distance. Providing a minimal amount of comfort wasn't worth getting sliced in half--by a blunt object, no less.

@Nathan22

"You see the boy in his arms? That's his son. An old enemy of his killed him before Misery could teleport him out of there. The chains won't hurt you unless you're a threat." Fear said softly.

@Stormyface

"Where is he? Anywhere close?"

Alagos stayed back. Misery seemed... unstable. If Alagos approached, he might lash out.

@Nathan22

"The killer?" Fear asked. "Tomorrow, maybe within the hour. I don't know. However he will come to kill Misery..."

Misery felt so much anger and sadness consuming him, that he felt like he would snap. First his wife, then his kingdom, then his brothers and sisters, now his son. 'That bastard...' He thought. The chains went back into his back where they belong. He looked to see Fear next to him and someone else he didn't recognize.

@Stormyface

"Hi." Alagos held up his hands, showing he was carrying nothing. "I'm Alagos. I fought Fear, and--OOOOH. THAT explains the Mimics! I was wondering how you did that. Anyway, it was a draw. I'm nice."

@Nathan22

Misery looked at you revealing a tragedy mask covering his face. He stood up, the body in his hands. Fear slowly started to back up motioning you to give him space.

@Stormyface

Alagos backed away, waiting for Misery to say something.

Fear, Wrath... So this would be... Despair? Guess I've seen stranger things.

Spending his entire time eating the small pieces of cheese as well as the crackers every so often, although he hadn't bothered to actually heal himself whatsoever with his own chi; the innkeeper simply allowed his own natural healing state to care to his own wounds for the time being. As the woman beside him had remained silent for a bit further only to end up speaking up about how she had found out as to how she was actually a witch as well as even questioning Takara about whether or not the proving himself seemed to have to do something with coming of age; being unable to help himself but to end up letting out a burst of chuckles from his lips at the idea that fighting the guardians was thought to be a coming of age type of thing, Takara had simply shook his head in response at first. "Oh no...it's nothing like that. Moreover, something that I must prove to confirm I know who I really am. I guess you could call it like searching for myself in a sort of way." Although as he had spoken about the whole idea of what he had thought to had been a better way to explain it, once the woman had started to speak of rather interesting knowledge; Takara had only remained silent right after as he had raised a single hand up to his own eye level, his dark gaze focusing onto the palm of his hand as he had taken in the female guest's words. Maybe she was right, ever since Takara had found out about his dark abilities followed by his black wings as well, he had been attempting to figure out where his power came from and just how he could remove it to regain his old powers, almost as though he were trying to prove to the higher-ups in grace that he was worth receiving his light back for whatever reason he was given this dark power for. Following that, when he had fought against the guardians and with how they had constantly grown stronger the more Takara had fought back, it had seemed he was trying to prove to them that he didn't need his dark powers in the end and that he was still an angel on the inside.

What if the truth was that he simply needed to accept this power and just know that he was strong with it and it made him who he still was. It wasn't like just because he had this power, he wouldn't be him anymore. The only true problem was to deal with the curse and it's random appearances from time to time. While the white haired innkeeper simply sat there in silence to ponder through the woman's words, he had finally soon lowered his arm to his side once more before exhaling a deep sigh.
"I guess, you could be right...I...I just don't know. I just feel like, maybe if I could prove myself to them...maybe more answers will be held for me inside the temple.." As he had spoken to the woman, part of Takara's own mind had gone blank as he spoke half towards her yet half of it was towards himself that he hadn't fully realized all the words that were coming out of his own mouth.

After they had been walking for some distance, Alagos spoke.

"I'm worried about my family, too. Last time I was in Syreth, things were... Unpleasant. I hope to be able to evacuate them somewhere safe, if it comes to that. Unfortunately, I had to travel almost a thousand miles to find somewhere that wasn't war-ridden. That being here."

@Nathan22

“Oh, I certainly do. Can't have someone taking whats mine so I'm certain it'll work itself out.” he responded a little more upbeat than he felt. Still the question he'd asked seemed to give her pause which clued him into just how personal it was. Curiosity had once again carried him unto thin ice.. still Cali carefully listened to every word, gaze fixed by Joselyn's.

There was true strength in her words, the ability to be thrown into a hostile world and come to terms with it certainly struck a cord. As the vampire carried on he wondered why she didn't mention any of the allure, the power alone would certainly beckon to many. So many mysteries woven about her person, it made him want to keep digging; though the wistful look that passed across her features discourage the notion. She'd lost so much but kept the memories; funny how the strands of fate were woven.

“A hefty price indeed but giving others the privilege choice is certainly commendable... I do believe you're more humane than myself or most men I've encountered.” Cali grinned and then added, “Besides I'll wager the prospect of your company is enticing enough to make it worth the price, so I'll consider myself twice lucky to be enjoy it free of charge for now.” the grin bubbled into mirthful laughter before it came to an abrupt halt when a sharp pain surged up his back. The pair of brutish men had gained a lanky acquaintance and they seemed rather set on concluding their business right there and then; sharpened steel glinting barely concealed by their cloaks. "Outside, now!" the burly one growled threateningly, his partner keeping an eye on Joselyn.

Mirage shifted her boots against the rough surface of the branch she was currently crouching on, relieving herself of the aching pain that resulted from a long, uncomfortable rest. She had spent about three days wandering these woods in search of someplace that would provide her with a good night's rest and some warm food to satisfy her hunger; unfortunately, Mirage was unable to find such an establishment. With hopes that today would be her lucky day, she leaped down from her perch, landing with a soft crunch as the soles of her footwear sunk into the dead foliage. She allowed herself a few moments to stretch before she set off, coolly disregarding the scenery around her. Mirage preferred the mystical woods of her homeland much more than the dense forest she found herself in. After about thirty minutes of determined hiking, the faerie found herself in front of the large, wooden doors of what seemed to be the 'Lunar Lotus Inn'.

"
Finally," she breathed, loosening the silky cloth that surrounded her neck. Mirage entered the building, glancing briefly around the interior. It was large, contrary to its outer appearance, and smelled of food and drink. There were two figures sitting at the bar, a female and a male; they seemed to be rather keen on observing the two men who seemed to be a bit hostile the the third person. Her presence seemed to be unnoticed by the lot, and so Mirage seated herself as far away from the group as possible at one of the candle lit tables.

"
I get here and there's already a show," Mirage muttered, leaning back in the chair. Wish it was more quiet.

Her face lights up in vague recognition and she looks to the side where she had seen a large temple earlier. "Ah," is the only thing she says. Afterwards, she rubs her face tiredly "I guess I see where you're coming from. I hope that you'll find what your looking for there. " She stands and stares down at him. "Just don't get beaten half to death again trying to find it again. It's probably not worth your life if you don't even know what's in there. And, if you ever need patching up again, I'll probably be staying at the inn for awhile." She waves her hand in brief goodbye before going back inside the inn and collapsing into her bed out of exhaustion. Magic takes a lot of energy to cast, and even more so to heal others.

Takara Hiroji

Soon enough as the woman had ended up directing her own gaze towards the direction of the path that would've easily lead towards the temple in the far distance, once she had stood up only to state for him not to become so injured once more and if he had required aiding in patching up, she would be at the inn still. Silence was the only thing that Takara would've given in response before he would've just nodded his head right after. So, it had seemed as though many of the guests that had arrived at the inn had seemed to decide that they were going to stay for a bit longer then what normal other people would've decided. Honestly, that wasn't bad in anyway whatsoever to the white haired innkeeper; rather with the guests and employees of the establishment, it was even more company to have at the inn rather then just being alone there almost most of the time in general. Unaware of the fact that even a new guest had arrived throughout the entire time Takara had sat right outside at the back of the inn, his own dark gaze had soon been directed up towards the night sky as he locked his attention upon the full white moon that had shined perfectly upon the inn.

His thoughts had been fully focused upon the words that the woman had given him before she had left to return inside, could the answers he had seeked truly be found within those temple walls at all and was it truly needed for him to be able to prove himself to the guardians that he didn't require the dark power. So many questions had gone through his head, and even less answers to any of them. Whatever the case was, Takara had soon slowly but surely helped himself up to his own two feet as he dusted himself off from the floor right after; even if he still had several small wounds upon his body, those were easily manageable for him to be able to continue walking even so. Slowly but surely, after standing fully up once more, although there was still a small limp in each of his steps, he would carefully make his way to the front of the building before entering into the front entrance. Immediately stepping inside to notice that there was a bit of commotion going on by the bar counter, Takara had determined to approach over towards it before his gaze was locked upon a separate yet unknown presence in the room. Another new female guest had arrived during the time of his absence as it had seemed to be, noticing her on her own and away from the chatter; the innkeeper had slowly limped carefully over towards the new woman with his usual warm and kind smile across his lips.

Although his outfit had plenty of cuts and such on him and his smaller wounds had still been healing at the time being, he hadn't wished to be leave a new guest completely unattended. Taking a deep bow as he had placed a single arm onto his abdomen while the other had been placed onto his back, the young innkeeper attempted to show his deepest respects without collapsing to the floor.
"Hello and welcome to the Lunar Lotus Inn. My name is Takara Hiroji; owner of this establishment. My deepest apologies for my current conditions and how i am not properly dressed...but may I be of any assistance to you whatsoever miss?"

Mirage looked warily to the side as a man in tattered clothing and a prominent limp made his way to her table. He attempted a warm smile and bowed, despite his ragged state. As he greeted her, she examined his figure, noting his unusual violet eyes. Violet is a sign of mystery, interesting.

"Greetings," she replied, giving him a small smile. Her voice was tinged with an ethereal accent that was hard to place, and as she spoke, she could not help but hope that said accent was not extremely noticeable. She had, after all, spent a while studying how to speak nearly fluently in various languages. "I'm not in need of assistance at the current moment, but thank you for asking." She paused, her gaze again wandering to the cuts scattered across the man's body. "To be truthful, you seem to be in need of assistance."

She gestured for him to take a seat, and re-positioned herself to sit upwards. Mirage decided to ignore the seemingly useless commotion in the middle of the inn and focused her attention entirely on Mr. Hiroji, who was much more interesting at the moment. More than a few questions were begging to be asked, and after a moment of thinking, she decided to settle on the one that piqued her interest the most.

"
If it's not of offense, how exactly did you come across your injuries?"

Just as the new woman had greeted Takara in return, his own dark gaze had remained focused upon her own dark blue hues at once just to show his own kindness by making eye contact with the guests that had arrived at the inn. Although at first the innkeeper hadn't really noticed the accent in the woman's voice due to him being rather used to the many different races and people that he had met upon his travels before settling here, it was little to no surprise of hearing any type of accent in anyone's voice at this point. By the time the woman had stated that she hadn't required any assistance however that he might've needed some for himself though, the white haired innkeeper would've been unable to help himself but to let a low chuckle leave his lips as he had nodded ever carefully before scratching the back of his own head right after. Once she had offered the seat, the very thought of sitting down had been rather comforting as Takara had wasted none of his own time to slowly but surely make his way over forward slightly further before finally settling himself down upon the cushions of the chair; relaxing himself as he had placed both of his palms upon the ragged silk yet dirtied pants of his, he would end up exhaling a deep breath in relief that he was able to sit before he would've used up too much energy once more just to walk around before his wounds would completely heal themselves.

Although Takara hadn't fully told himself this, it was of no surprise that in a matter of moments that the very same question that the hooded woman from earlier along with the male guest had questioned the innkeeper was going to come up sooner or later. Asking just how he had come across getting such wounds as he had, Takara had only remained silent as he had only ended up giving a light shrug of his shoulders at this point. There was honestly no point in constantly hiding this, even if he wouldn't fully tell a lie about how he had received them; maybe he could tell others but just not reveal where he had received them.
"Ah...These injuries, I had gotten them from...well, I guess you would call it a losing battle even now. It just shows that I am unable to prove to even myself...I am strong enough to protect anyone or anything.." As he had spoken even the words from the stone guardians of the temple, as he had spoken, his thoughts had gone onto the very same words that the hooded female from earlier had spoken to him; he had been attempting to show that he was strong enough to fight against the stone guardians but maybe if he would accept his own power, he could use it to defeat them in the end. Whatever the case was, the innkeeper soon had simply shook his head to attempt not to make his new guest too uncomfortable about the whole situation of how he was currently. "Oh..but enough about me. I shall be fine miss. What brings yourself so far out here into the world to find this place, if I may ask?"
