History
When she was a young "lass" she was quite happy, a loving family in a nice quiet town... until it was attacked by gnosis. Gnosis slaughtered many innocents including her mother and father. A few gifted children were taken in by them and Alexandria was one. Her sister was kept also so Alex would have a reason to fight and not just flee. Alex kept practicing her dark magic abilities hopeing. one day... she could flee away with her sister. Which by 17 she did. after 8 years with them, she managed to bet saome guards and rescue her sister, she now is in the academy, wanting to make up for all the wrong she has done in her life

1454: She discovers she has a weird connection to ice and can control and make it (discovery of powers)
1455:Family was attacked, mother and father killed an Alex was taken into Gnosis
1460: using Gnosis teachings, Alex gains control over Lightning

Cornelius Hendrex​

General​

Name: Cornelius Hendrex

Nickname: As a teacher, most people call him Mr. Hendrex but once the students get used to him, they usually call him Mr. Drex for short. Feel free to come up with any nicknames for him yourself.

Titles: While he may have a title of some sort, he does not speak of such things to anyone. Therefore, no one really knows if there is a proper title for him. The students typically call him "Hendrex The Strict."

Age: Cornelius is almost 29, therefore making him 28 as of right now.

Gender: Male

Faction: Specint Mage Corps

Role: Cornelius was first a student of the very school he teaches at now. But after graduation an unexpected call from the Specint Mage Corps set his life into a different course. As of now, he is a teacher at JMA but at the same time, he still works for the Specint Mage Corps.

Details: Mr. Drex has bright green eyes and a slightly darker brown color for his hair and beard. There is a small, almost invisible scar going horizontal under his left eye.

Attire: On work days he wears the same thing showed above. A nice clean green suit with a different tie each day. Oddly enough the suits are always different shades of green. The white vest always stays the same however. On casual days the man typically wears more mobile clothes, such as a simple long sleeve or short sleeve (depending on the weather) with some comfortable pants. Often then naught, all of this will be covered by his signature white robe with dark green, almost black, linings.

Height: 6 feet exactly. Not an inch shorter or higher.

Weight: 172 pounds.

Equipment​

Supplies: First aid kit as well as his ID's. He has a small satchel that he keeps everything in that is on his right side of his body.

Tools: A small knife that he hides away in his pocket. Much like a pocket knife, only much more jagged.

Capabilities​

Mental Strengths: He uses all of his skills to the fullest capabilities. He has the mindset of a man who uses the environment around him to his advantage.

Physical Strengths: Cornelius has his slight height advantage to others that gives him great leverage for up close physical battle. Along side that is a moderately high pain tolerance, allowing him to take more than the average amounts of hits before succumbing to the pain of his wounds.

Emotional Strengths: He can understand what other people go through, if only slightly. He is pretty good with talking the person down into lowering their guard.

Mental Weaknesses: The man worries way to much for others when fighting people. Even if the people he thinks about are safely away, his mind always seems to drift back to them in the heat of battle.

Physical Weaknesses: His eyesight is not the best for someone his age. He has tried glasses but even they tend to not work. He was told to visit the medic about the issue but he has put it off for some time now.

Emotional Weaknesses: When working with others, especially younger people, he will believe he is responsible for their well being. There for he usually tries to fight the battle on his own without aid.

Personality​

Goals: To teach the newer generation not to be a fool like he was.

Fears: Any type of reptile.

Personality Traits: Strict, mindful, worrysome

Examples: Cornelius is a man who follows the rules to the dime. And if there are no rules? Guess what. He creates some. He enforces the rules around him with an iron fist and advises everyone to do so as well. He can also use many things to his advantage, so if you have a blade and he has a stick, don't count him out yet. Chances are he knows how to use that stick to it's full potential. Despite all this, he still worries a lot for his students and small group of friends. Even if they may be strong.

History​

Background: Graduation of JMA, Joining the Specint Mage Corps, and becoming a teacher at the age of 23.

Class Status: Just a commoner that worked his way up to being a mage teacher. He has no wealthy background.

  Details: Pastel red hair(dyed from red) which reaches a little below her shoulders(used to reach her lower back), crimson/ruby eyes, wears contacts(used to wear glasses), typically ties her hair in a quick bun to retain a sophisticated and mature image, even out of working hours, due to her face natually being quite youthful.
  Attire: She typically wears a black blouse, smart skirt and low heels on a work day, or a semi-formal dress such as this. On a casual day out, she'd usually wear a knee-length dress, with flat boots, a long coat, a leather belt and maybe a corset. When she's at home, or simply by herself safe, she'd literally wear a simple top and shorts.

  Supplies: She typically carries a rather large patterned bag wherever she goes, filled with various bits and bobs of stationery, and her teacher ID. She has a small camera(magic photos=permanent projection of an image) in there with her purse, along with a book or two. Off to the side, is a small box with her lunch, along with a small bottle of fruit juice. In the small pockets of her bag, there are small bundles of charms(mainly for Boulder Smash, Confuse and some others) ready whenever she needs them. Her bag is engraved with a small geometric circle(Bind) which acts as a method of quick deterrant against potential thieves and such. When a thief approaches, if Sharlett notices(which she should due to her paranoia), she will quickly cast a spell against the culprit to stop him. The communicator charm she uses for reporting to the Scholars of Gnosis is kept hidden at home, which she uses every night.
  
  Tools: She has a few chalk sticks in her pocket, and a couple charms(Heal, Lightning Shock and Haste.) and a Ley Line communicator charm(teacher) which she hangs from her neck. She has a few tiny needle-like daggers attached to the inside of her clothing, such as her cuffs, not particularly for direct combat, but for engraving geometric circles in emergencies, or cutting thin rope.

  Physical Strengths: Her thin stature makes dodging and escaping easier, she can also create rather intricate arrays on small surfaces(dexterous).

  Mental Weaknesses: When placed in front of the opputunity to gain more forbidden knowledge or power, she'll feel incredible excitement which will be hard to hide. She'll attempt to leave momentarily at least to contain herself.
  Physical Weaknesses: She has very limited natural eyesight, and is rather thin and weak. She does not know how to fight well physically. Her real smile appears creepy compared to her fake smile.
  Emotional Weaknesses: She is rather lenient towards her students, and is internally emotionally unstable due to her obsession, and her fear of herself.

  Summary: On the surface, she is a lenient, kind and trustworthy teacher, whom students can always go to for advice on personal topics. She appears calm & confident in her abilities. As well as rather resourceful. Students will virtually never find her without her welcoming smile. But behind that warm facade, lies an insane greed. Knowledge, power, revenge. Her obsession has grown immensely over the years, almost leaking past her mask. She's rather paranoid as well, constantly wary of the people in her vicinity, and who they are. But even behind that, lies a broken soul. Deep within her heart, she knows she doesn't really want any of that, but it's the only way she knew how to deal with the sorrow of her grandpa's death, and has been chained to it ever since. She's afraid of losing her current state, and having it all fall apart in front of her, since she's partially forgotten what her true personality is like. Currently, she's somewhat content hiding behind her acting.

  History
  
  Background: Sharlett grew up in one of the biggest cities in the kingdom, as an only child. She was raised primarily by her grandpa, due to her parents early death. Since she never knew them, she never felt any particular sorrow for them. Due to her genetics, she began wearing glasses when she was young. At an early age, she began taking an interest in books and the interesting knowledge she could learn from them. She also had a unique interest in fairytales, and loved the little romance tales between princes and princesses.
  
  Due to her dull appearance and unique interests, she quickly became a prime target for bullies, who picked on her everyday without fail. One day, as her stress levels were reaching their limit, her grandfather was hospitalized, due to him collapsing on the street. She felt frustration and regret well up inside her, angry that she didn't realize that he was growing weaker every day. She ultimately blamed herself for his condition, but also the bullies, who took away most of her awareness everyday.
  
  It wasn't long before her grandpa died, not even a week. Things passed by in a blur, as she was forced to move and live with her aunt. She and her sons tried to make her feel welcome, but she rejected it all in her mourning. She blamed the bullies. The mere anger she used to feel against them twisted into a warped desire for revenge. And for revenge, she needed strength.
  
  She wanted to dedicate herself to research on magic, since she knew the destruction it could cause compared to mere physical training, but struggled to find a tutor. She didn't know anyone around her who knew magic, or at least to the extent of being a tutor. But then, her eldest cousin returned home for a visit with his wife. Due to some stroke of luck, his wife was originally a teacher at the Jalder Military Academy, who specialized in transmutation magic. After finding out she was cheating on her cousin, she blackmailed her into being her magic tutor. Sharlett wasn't particularly interested in transmuation magic at the time, but forced her to teach her all of the most devastating magic she knew. When she had learnt all the knowledge she could leech from her, she let her be free to go back to her home country with her husband, still keeping some evidence to blackmail her again if need be, and taking most of her magic books.
  
  After that, she began researching magic on her own, quickly delving in the elemental and destructive magic side. As she explored the most dangerous spells she could legally find, she came across the Scholars of Gnosis. They welcomed her into the group, and she aided them in their crimes, slowly making a name for herself with her abilities. A certain incident earned her the title of 'Doll Maker', as she managed to locate and collect the key to a restricted area, through using her dolls to travel through the thin air vents. She even managed to return the key without raising a fuss, after the scholars had copied it's structure. After gaining their trust, she found forbidden spells unlike any she had seen before. She felt a dark presence grow in her heart, as her lust for vengeance grew. She no longer wanted to simply punish the criminals of her past, she wanted to torture them till their last breath. As this need grew, the reasoning behind her actions were slowly beginning to fade away from her mind, gradually becoming a thought irrelevant to her.
  
  The Scholars of Gnosis decided to send Sharlett as a spy to the Jalder Military Academy, due to her calm capabilities and great ambitions. They warned her of the dangers, such as other spies from other factions, and cautioned her to tread carefully. It's been a year, and as of yet, she hasn't found any vital information. She knows that waiting is key for the empire to let down their guard, but she's growing ever so slightly impatient.
  
  Timeline:
  1443 - January 14th: Sharlett was born, and her widowed mother didn't survive the procedure.
  1448 - August 27th: Sharlett got her first glasses(5yr)
  1455 - February 19th: Sharlett's grandfather collapsed and was admitted into a hospital(12yr)
  1455 - February 24th: Sharlett's grandfather died and she moved in with her aunt.
  1455 - March 1st: Sharlett began searching for a magic tutor
  1456 - December 24th: Sharlett blackmailed her cousin's wife into teaching her magic(13yr)
  1457 - June 17th: Sharlett let her cousin's wife go, and began researching magic herself(14yr)
  1460 - April 4th: Sharlett moved out to live by herself(17yr)
  1462 - December 27th: Sharlett joined the Scholars of Gnosis under the alias Ruby(19yr)
  1465 - December 27th: Sharlett was given the title: Ruby the Doll Maker(22yr)
  1466 - August 20th: Sharlett changed her appearance(23yr)

  Class Status: She's a commoner/criminal, who has mainly assisted other criminals, but has killed a couple mages herself. Due to the fact that she's mainly a side character in major crimes(preferring to not exert herself unless she needs to), she's not too well-known compared to other criminals. Some have a watchful eye on her however, due to the fact that she's been involved in a large majority of the incidents. The empire does not have any photos on her, as she isn't a top priority at the moment. She used to have her hair in long red twin-tails and wear glasses. To change her appearance, she cut her hair to reach just below shoulder-length, dyed it a much lighter colour(as well as typically tying it in a bun), and began wearing contacts.

  Reasoning: She started off with a great interest in elemental magic, along with destructive to create devastating effects, since blatantly, her desire was to be able to torture her enemies with incredible power. She learnt warp magic as a basic method of escape/defence, even though she is still a heavily offensive mage. However, due to her growing desire for forbidden knowledge(her reason for being an evil mage), she grew fond of the idea of manipulating objects to gain access to areas her human body could not(Animation). Such as using tiny little dolls(Transmutation), or even tiny cameras with transmuted legs to creep in through creeks and fufill their tasks. She's even advanced her ability with this enough to earn her title, as well as create little suicidal doll bombers(Transfer).This has led to her ability to create rather small arrays, yet still manage to keep them complex.

  Background: Born the youngest of four, in a stable noble family, Meia has never had to worry for her safety, nor has anyone expected anything from her. Her father was Count Malgath Les Victri, a humble, but respected figure within society. Doted on by her frail mother, Malgath's wife since they were 18, Meia's always had everything she's ever wanted. Her favourite place to adventure and play was in their magnificent garden, where various tame animals were kept free. She adored caring and playing with the animals there, but they were all ultimately cared for by specialists. Other nobles frequently visited with their children, most likely to gain the favour of the Les Victri family, and so Meia was never lonely, or felt out of place.
  
  However, when she was 14, her mother died. It was at this point, that her family members began to drift from one another, and separate themselves slightly, due to conflict over the cause of her death. Some speculated it was simply her frailness and some from depression, since it was a known fact that Meia's father neglected her. Meia, who wanted things to return to how things were, attempted to reconcile with the siblings and their father, despite her still dealing with the sorrow of her mother's death. But, some lashed out at her. Saying she didn't understand anything, that she was a naive little princess who had everything laid out for her. And that even the animals she loved the most, were bred and cared for by specialists not her. She had nothing to be proud of.
  
  Meia, taking the words of her beloved family to heart, locked herself in her room, and felt the reality of what she was. Her family ironically re-reconciled and recovered due to the incident, and did everything they could to make their youngest be the cheerful young girl she used to be. A year later, without much progress, Meia suddenly burst open her door and announced what she was going to do. She was going to become a legendary mage worthy of her family's acceptance and pride, who is also strong enough to protect and care for the animals she so loved. She would show them, that she wasn't just a spoilt little princess.

  Stellius is very perceptive and has inhuman reflexes/reactions. His is so reactive that he can strike bullets from the air with his swords and dodging incoming attacks effortlessly, simply because he can easily see them coming.
  
  Physical Strengths:
  Stellius is incredibly fast, dexterous and agile, being a skilled acrobat, blades user and free runner. He moves fluidly and with great speed, his wiry densely muscled frame capable of weaving in and out of attacks seamlessly to deliver a sharp precise blow.
  
  Emotional Strengths:
  Stellius has a strong mental fortitude and will. He is not susceptible to losing his cool, giving in to fears, intimidation or torture. Questioning him for information is useless, he will die before he speaks his secrets.
  
  Mental Weaknesses:
  Stellius has no idea how to act 'normal'. He is quiet, secluded and generally slightly creepy around others and this clearly marks him out as different. This is largely due to his background and his life as an assassin, often being without company leading to his lack of care to how he appears around others.

  Whilst Stellius does have a compact strength built into his smallish stature, he will by no means win in a strength contest. He can easily lift his own weight and the tools he uses, but anything more than that will definitely strain him.

  Background:
  Stellius had always had a rough upbringing. Although 'rough' hardly did him justice when you observed the grander scale of things. Having been born in a birth with complications, one of which resulting in his mother's death, Stellius had been branded with problems from the start. He had a mental hiccup that prevented him understanding or reading emotion. Additionally, his father was hell bent on ensuring Stellius was to be a 'succeeder' in the family.
  
  His father was a charm and rune maker, his mother a high ranking official from the SMC. With his mother dead and his father's business currently in a lull, there wasn't much money coming in. His father, desperate to create some success from his rather lacklustre life, decided to spend all his efforts on improving his son. Education, private tutoring, non-stop studying and physical building of the body would ensure Stellius would become a top notch mage to fill his mother's place. Training day and night at a ridiculously young age, there were no breaks for the perceived 'perfect'. However, it was not to be.
  
  Stellius used to be a rather prestigious rune and charm maker in his day, but his creativity and ingenuity and dried up in his old age. Unfortunately, there were still some that also remembered his former glory days. Scholars of Gnosis arrived one day, demanding the impossibly powerful goods his father used to be able to make back in the day. Unable to provide such a service anymore, he was killed. However, they did take something of value in the end: Stellius. Observing his clear talent as a mage and his natural ability in several aspects of magecraft and combat proficiency, the evil mages abducted him for further training. Less humane training.
  
  They next years after this was a rigorous and hard regime of honing his body, mind and skills for one purpose: to kill. The scholars had noticed his lack of empathy and had decided him to be their perfect killing machine. Unable to feel guilt or sadness for those he gave death to, his skills would allow him to be a masterful espionage covert ops specialist, obviously the easiest way to acquire new magic. And so, he would go off into the empire to perform missions to prove the fruits of his training. Stealing important magical data, assassinating important figure heads for publicity or dangerous leaders for the trouble they were causing the scholars, Stellius performed outstandingly. Granted a prestigious title and some powerful magic for his work, the assassin was marked as an important agent for the group, one of their trump cards if anything of great importance or danger called for his expertise.

  -1451, father is killed by a mysterious group, child is kidnapped to never be seen again.

  -1461, an unknown armed mage assault squad, accompanied by the child, raids a magical laboratory of the Specint Mage Corps, further reports of no survivors and much magical data lost to the attackers.
  -1462~1466, multiple sightings of the child in various locations within the empire, all linked to repeated assassinations on high ranking targets of the SMC or the LK, most of whom had been causing trouble for the known terrorist group: the Scholars of Gnosis.

History
Tear Cooper, born to the known Legant Knight Maximilian Cooper, has struggled and looked up to her father since a young age, always believing in following in his footsteps and holding him as a her biggest role model. Tear lived a well-off early life, frequently having tutors brought to her, teaching her all that she needed to know before attempting to join the Jalder Military Academy, working her way towards the Legant Knights. Initially declined due to her young age and lack of strength to keep up with the others joining the military academy, she returned to her life and began studying and training up her strength, trying three years later and being accepted after endless learning and began advancing through the classes among other students where she began to become mightily confident in her own abilities due to having spent so much time working on joining. Where others had experience, she had none, but she had infinite knowledge of battle tactics and specific uses for spells, allowing her to excel in both leadership and the written exams, while the training from the college itself helped build her body strength to what it is now.

  Mental Strengths: Char is quite intelligent, having many private tutors throughout his life, and has more knowledge in magic than most people in his class. He is adept at thinking quickly on his feet and improvising.
  
  Physical Strengths: Quite adept at hand-to-hand combat and gunslinging for his age. He is also strong for his size and a surprising fast runner.
  
  Emotional Strengths: Char is very thick skinned and hard to offend, but at the same time, he is very empathetic to people’s troubles and is always willing to help. He is also easy to approach and to talk to, which allows him to make friends quickly. In addition, he has a strong morality and sense of justice that is hard to sway.
  
  
  Mental Weaknesses: Char has a terrible habit of procrastination. He may get his work done, but it causes him unnecessary stress and really ticks off his project group. Also, he has a tendency to sometimes forget the fundamentals of spells and spectacularly mess up.
  
  Physical Weaknesses: Char’s back is particularly vulnerable to damage, given that it hasn’t healed completely. In addition, he drains stamina quickly, especially when fighting or running and cannot stay awake for extended periods of time. Char has mainly trained in offensive spells, leaving little time to study defensive and support spell so. Mild farsightedness.
  
  Emotional Weaknesses: Char is what you would call an open book, he doesn’t have many secrets, and so, he naturally confides in everyone he considers friend. If someone would use this information against him in any way he would be deeply heartbroken and sink into a state of depression and paranoia wondering why they betrayed him and whether or not the people he trusts are actually trustworthy. In addition, Char always has empathy towards prisoners, criminals and people in distress, no matter what they have done or their situation, which is quite unpopular among many others. His morality prevents him from doing any unjust acts even if it’s the best option.

  Background
  
  Char is born into the noble family of House Damascus, to Grace Damascus and Charles Drake. However, his father is not isn’t a noble, instead, he is a gunslinger mercenary that was officially knighted by the kingdom. He gained this by enlisting as a soldier in the Legant Knights during a war and holding a strategic pass against the enemy for a full day with a hand full of soldiers until reinforcements came. Charles’s service under the house as a mercenary brought him into a relationship with the heiress of House Damascus: Grace. They fell in love and Char’s father pledged his service to the house permanently.
  
  
  Given that his mother had many political issues to take care of, he was raised by his father in the ways of being a fighter and eventually a gunslinger. He was provided with a noble’s education and so, he is far more educated than most people in the Kingdom. However, since he was raised by a Commoner, he did not favor the ways of the rich, such as lavish displays of wealth and wasteful abundance. Instead, he learned to be frugal with what he had and learned compassion for all people, because that was how the Commoners survived, by relying on and caring for their own.
  
  
  When Char attended his first year of Jalder Military Academy, he befriended an undercover Scholar of Gnosis by the name of Jane (Doesn't attend academy) and became best friends with her, and even began to see a romantic relationship. However, Jane was actually manipulating Char for his access to wealth and special privileges as a noble of House Damascus. She didn’t do anything major though until a holiday party on the December 24 for nobles. At that party, Jane attempted to assassinate a noble defected from the Scholars of Gnosis. However, Char interfered and Jane cast a spell that severely burned his back and placed him into critical condition.
  
  
  Jane was able to escape, but a day later, she was caught, interrogated and executed by the Legant Knights. Char did not know of this until after he recovered from his wounds. When he did learn of this, he was shocked and angry that he didn’t have the strength to apprehend his friend, so that she wouldn’t have be executed. He was also horrified by the way the Scholars operated after learn of Jane’s motives, as well as heartbroken that their relationship was just a facade. He sank into a depression for over a month, that challenged his viewpoint on his friends. It took his mother and his father to break him out of his depression in order to continue living. They convinced him that if he continues to do nothing, such events will continue to occur. With that, Char gains a new conviction to bring the Scholars under control, so that their “quest for truth” can’t hurt anymore people.
  
  
  As a result, he dropped out of Jalder and began training with his father and several of his mercenary mage friends to improve his magic and his physical capabilities, to become stronger so that he can prevent such events. He finished his training a day before his second year at Jalder (Technically first, since he only attended for 4 months and has to repeat the year), and began travelling to Jalder.

  Helios was born into a lowly family of Commoners, he is the oldest of four. Before joining the Academy Helios spent most of his time taking care of his three younger siblings while his parents were away though one day he came across and old mage who was actually quite fond of Helios. After training with the old man and learning the basics of magic the old mage passed down his title of "Grand Flame" to Helios. Though he still called him the young flame since he hasn't graduated from the academy. Before going off to his first year the old man gave Helios a long curved knife with a strong flame charm. DETAILS: Pale and lean of figure, Jai has large, darkly shadowed eyes of a light silver-blue, an oval face and full lips of a similarly pale tone. His hair is dark, a cool-toned chocolate brown colour, seemingly black in all but full sunlight; it falls in loose strands across his brow, but it's sometimes pulled back by a plain metal barrette if he's finding it irritating when he's doing close work.
Concealed beneath his clothing lies many a dark, mesmerisingly intricate tattoo, winding their way up his arms, around his shoulders and curling across his back, ringed around his wrists and ankles and trailing partway up his calves. Occasionally you might see some hint of the ink peeking out from the top of his sleeves, or a dark flash of a pattern disappearing down below the back of his collar, but these are only mere suggestions as to their full extent. The geometric runes are near seamlessly intertwined with the elaborate decorative designs, beautifully convoluted arrays for Elemental, Transform and Empower magic that he makes seldom use of.

ATTIRE: His normal attire is one of simple, well-tailored layers, the outermost being a long, black coat of sorts with two rows of silver buttons down the left side, the collar high and elegantly curved, the bell sleeves long and wide and the shape narrow yet loose around his form. The collar of his subsequent sleeveless shirt is similarly styled - close-fitting to his throat, the silken black trimming gives way to first pale grey, then a darker slate. Cut close to his figure, it flares just slightly out again on his hips before ending at the dark fabric of his cuffed trousers, loose garments that seem to puff out slightly before being pulled in by the similarly black, round-toed lace up boots that come to a little way below the knee. He habitually wears no jewellery or accessory other than two metal rings on his left hand, both charms, and a fine silver anklet dotted with eight round bells, hidden and well silenced within his boot.

E Q U I P M E N T

SUPPLIES: A messenger bag of slightly scuffed brown canvas with a cross-body strap, holding the obligatory teacher I.D. and a small water bottle of a dull, bronze-coloured metal, although it's usually filled with alcohol instead but shh. It also holds a plain, stitch-bound notebook, often nestled amongst the jumble of brushes and ink bottles and pens in the bottom. The front pockets contain rather more carefully kept sticks of chalk, charcoal and a pen with a small needle tip for inscriptions. A smaller case within this holds a first aid kit, all the necessary items for things not worth magical intervention.

- Ley Line Communicator Charm: A plain band of metal on his left middle finger.
- Barrier Charm: The second ring, similar although somewhat flatter and wider than his other ring, is a charm for the spell Prismatic Vault, worn on his index finger.
- Heal Charms: A handful of paper Cure and Alleviate charms.
- Anklet Charm: Although serving as both accessory and memento, the anklet of bells he wears is also, quite surprisingly, a charm, although never used - each of the bells is inscribed with a tiny, delicate array for Empower magic for grace of balance and fleetness of foot.

MENTAL STRENGTHS: Jai is strongly intuitive, imaginative and quick-thinking. He has a basic knowledge of a few of the dialects outside of Legant.

PHYSICAL STRENGTHS: Excellent artistic ability and physical condition, despite his lack of martial focus.

EMOTIONAL STRENGTHS: His wilfully independent nature leads to little reliance upon others, although it does sometimes conflict with his more deep-rooted sense of empathy.

  Background

  
  Kenton was born of by the Lady Madeline White and her husband at the time, Jerald Legant. The youngest of four sons, Kenton was often spoiled by his mother, whom he took after in appearance. Put into Mage Training at a very young age, his lack of battle magic affinity made him a target of abuse by his father. He was often whipped and beaten, locked away by his father and forced to undergo severe survival training, in order to better his understanding of war. Unfortunately for Jerald Legant, it only enforced Kenton's desire to learn White Magic and healing spells.
  
  His older brothers weren't completely indifferent to the situation their youngest brother was in. The eldest, Gray Legant, may seem cold but was usually the first to unlock the doors to the rooms he was locked in and to help treat his wounds. The second oldest, Rory Legant, was a bit louder and nearly burned down the house when he found his brother had been sexually assaulted by one of the tutors their father hired.
  
  The third son, twin to Rory, Leslie Legant, had been more passive to the situation but always managed to bring his brother sweets as a way of apologizing. Leslie had left home at a young age to join the Military.
  
  No longer able to stand by to the abuse, Madeline White divorced her husband and moved back into the White Household, taking her youngest son with her. Unmarried, Lady White is often a target of ridicule, but she always keeps up a positive expression and strong demeanor for Kenton. She is the hostess of parties and social gatherings, always the first to try new things and highly sought after for her hand in marriage, being young and beautiful still.
  
  Kenton's life after he left his father's home was different, but not entirely unsimilar. He no longer had an official claim to the Empire's line of succession, claiming his mother's las t name, but retained his title of nobility. They had never wanted for anything, living a rich lifestyle at his father's behest.
  
  Kenton no longer underwent intense battle training and slowed down his magical learning, opting to browse libraries and read magical theory, settling down to practice medicine and healing magic. Physical and mental scars remain, his anxiety can sometimes get the best of him, the young man took up smoking cigarettes which became a gross habit he hates to enjoy.
  
  While in public or at the academy, he does his best to switch out the cigarettes for lollipops, feeding his sweet tooth at the same time. While he does not flaunt his nobility or his heavy purse, he does not stop himself when it comes to buying what he wants. Kenton knows money won't solve everything but he cannot help himself when it comes to cute things, new toys or fine clothes. He will even buy gifts for others if he knows they want it.
  
  When he first applied to the Academy, his brother Rory bought him a belt knife and Leslie spent months teaching him how to use it. While he is no master, his skills are refined and he will often spend time training with the weapon to better himself.
  
  Out of his family of mages, Kenton knows how to heal and fight with a knife. His brother Leslie knows how to fight with various weapons and uses summoning magic to assist him in battle, his favorite being a small lightning dragon. Rory can use elemental magic, fire being a preference and is not very good with martial weaponry. Grey is adept with ice elemental magic and tinkers with magical weapons and charms. His father Jerald Legant is an adept Force mage, using his mind to move and manipulate with unseen magic. Lady White is a mage as well, though not as adept as the rest of her family, Madeline can empower others and nullify weak spells.
  
  Kenton and his mother share a personal live-in butler, Greg North. Greg does the cleaning and maintains the house in place of maids and gardeners as well as other butler duties such as helping dress them for formal occasions and drawing baths. Greg is older, a retired military man, but in great physical condition and enjoys a neat, tidy house. He is often found washing and polishing the car on warm days.
  
  The house is a modest city dwelling with three floors and an underground cellar. It has a small front lawn and a large back patio with an edible garden and various flowering bushes. The home is surrounded by a brick wall and topped with an iron fence and pointed leaf-shaped finials.
  
  They have three pets. Two dogs, small fluffy girls, both white. One named Betty the other named Rosie. Kenton has a young cat, the newest member of the household, a gift from Greg. The man had rescued the kitten from the undercarriage of the car one day and cleaned him up, finding the gray tabby to be exceedingly sweet. Tiger is short-furred but soft and fluffy with pale blue eyes, just like Kenton.
  
  Five years of freedom have been sweet for Kenton, but his father's cruel words continue to haunt him. When he meets with Jerald about business, the old man always offers to start his special training up again but Kenton refuses. He placates the old man's fury with accepting classes in elemental magic, preferring ice like his oldest brother, as well as constantly reaffirming his desire to join the military upon his graduation.
