Fantasy The Land Of The Rising Sun (OOC Chat)

Actually, i got some warriors pre aos, aos was introduced, then I said "FREE RULES!" then I got into orks. So yes/no? I don't plan to switch the bases araround any time soon, but idk fuck it maybe. I have too many warriors for it to be cheap though. (60+)

Ah, was curious. Cause you can use the square bases for AoS, but using the circle bases for standard 8th edition is..... very difficult.

Edit: Board planks for the Trukks. Always boarding planks.

Yeah, never played a game of 8th in my life. I was told that square bases were illegal in tournaments for AoS.

I had this huge buy list for Orks, but I'll have to find it later. Doing 'stuff' ATM. Will show after my ic post for the onion and the samuroo

Usually are, but in friendly games, it is doable. Using circle bases in Oldhammer is stupidly hard because oldhammer was all about regiments and formations, so it mattered, a lot, of how wide your front was, and circle bases don't line up well. You have to get special movement trays to use circle bases in Oldhammer.

Coolio. I've been having an internal debate if I want to start a Dark Eldar army, TSon army or a Raven Guard HH army...

Prolly TSon, geedubs just came out with a new line of their stuff, and it looks pretty dope IMO. The new Magnus model is pretty tight.

Hmm... I am considering making a character that has this eye that basically sees everything. As in like, it can identify everything about a person, strengths, weaknesses, powers, physiology, lies...
I was thinking of having him be a kind of adviser or something to one of the leaders of the clans. Anyone want him? He'd be kinda in the background though, not really a combatant. I'm kinda just desperate for a little more intelligent interaction than just killing stuff (finally). xD

Also I posted... >; ) It's not as vulgar as the last one, don't worry. : D
Wait everything? That's a bit sketch D:

I mean, this isn't something she planned for, which she hates

Like, Aurelie's biggest weakness makes her extremely vulnerable, so if he just tells people right off the bat, she loses a lot of her plot potential

Maybe he'll keep it a secret if give him a reason to. I have decided his personality yet. Another plan is to just avoid him or not be seen by him.

So does he have a reputation to where they would know to avoid him?
I feel like most clans would not want to permanently employ him because he'd be a huge liability

And there's a slight chance that the FRANCIS&WALTER duo would go after him. They're very irritable and easy to tick off.

He'd have a reputation as an unfoolable sentinel to protect the leader, he'd be incorruptible, honest with his superiors and very loyal. He'd basically be someone you'd definitely want on your side and to protect, because the information he'd have would be invaluable. If he was captured and tortured by your enemies though... Well that would be your own fault for letting him get captured...

In a word, he could also be a Spymaster of sorts.

I won't make him if he can't be a part of someones clan though, I don't like the idea of him being a defenceless lone wolf.

He sounds too good to be true right now lol

If he's honest and loyal, what reason could he be given not to give necessary information to those people?

This sounds more like an NPC, one whose only purpose is to be a general tool, than a character. Scrap him, I say, scrap him good.

And even then, the plot isn't about clan wars or something. It's about demons against sword-punks. You're basically creating a foil for your own character, and Hannun's — though, the latter would probably change sides as soon as he sees the tides changing 'bout.

*shrug* It's not like I have any OOC plan against you. I just don't want to be limited to senseless violence all the time with my demon character. I may not make him at all if you don't want him. : (

Well, with that outline I've given you I doubt he'd actually do or say anything unless specifically asked to by his superior. Plus, his power is not always active. He has to manually search for this stuff so unless you give him a reason to be suspicious about you, you're safe. And hey, if you ally with (insert clan here) you'd be on his side anyway, so there's be no need to worry.

(If it's a little op then I'll balance it some, but I like the idea of it anyways. He'd be like a narrator/spectator of the whole thing. Except he'd be involved with his clan, but still. :P)

Tbh when you add limitations like that, it makes it better. I have no issues with it other than the possible god modding opportunities. I mean, if there's blank spots that works for me. Or a low chance that he's wrong. With great power comes great balance!

If you want to just get an interesting character that contrasts from your demon character, we could always brainstorm!

Oh I didn't think that. I understand where you're coming from and I think an adviser character to one of the clans would be great just this one doesn't seem... I dunno the word for it lol

Make someone normal, mundane — like FRANCIS.

Impossibly normal men are the only way you're going to truly progress — realism equates to a finely-made character.
