Fantasy The Land Of The Rising Sun (OOC Chat)

Every time I get away, a lotta shit happens.

And judging by the gap in my posts, I'll have to make up for a lot, it seems. Damn.

Prior to that post, Jon bought a pineapple not knowing what is actually was. (Pine tree+Apple? Burn like wood and or eat it? how?) as so, last post?

He was jogging around (Running for normal people) in search of a farmer. Being secluded, he doesn't know much about the world outside of his home and the village nearby. So he remembered an old farmer from home and knew they raised crops.

On his way around, he ran into people watching Blue and her npc group meet your characters. Not looking that way, he was tripped up by someone (Town guard or someone from either group) And whatever wrapped around his legs he burned off, rolled and sprung forwards to catch the pineapple he threw.

Missing the fruit, he went and did a frontflip on accident. When he fell, he landed on his back and an npc pinned him down as he landed behind the carriage carrying the 'blessed vessel' obviously stunned from hitting the ground pretty hard. He's also unaware of what's going on.

That good Cap? Or do you need more info? Just ask!

Aha! Eleph, so this is were you were roleplaying... and it seems like you're caught in the middle of a feudal Japan... which I know little to nothing about!

Well, it seems that if I want to join here I've got a lot of reading to do on feudal Japan and plus I've got to read up on all the posts. Yeah, that's a damn lot of reading I've gotta do. Welp, I've got to go to school shortly so I'll do it later.

Hmm, I was thinking of either being a Westerner that traveled as far east as possible to explore the world or a lost sailor from one of the islands in the Pacific Ocean that washed up ashore in Japan. Both characters can learn foreign languages really really fast... (For convenience's sake.)

I don't know if my Westerner will either be a daring merchant, a knight on a pilgrimage, or just a simple peasant. And as for the sailor in the Pacific ocean, he could be a warrior from one of the tribes or something.

Can I ask what time period this setting is in? A rough estimate is fine.
 
Cosmosis Cosmosis So for perspective, the palanquin (Carriage) would be beyond the gates of the Hourasian clan, kind of like parked outside
So they will be informed of the commotion before giving an order like "detain him, we'll deal with him later" since he showed his powers for whatever reason they will definitely want to detain him to find out what the hell that was with Matsuyo giving the order
Had he not done that he probably could have walked away

Realizing the hawk was not targeting her, Bubbles poked her head out from behind Sumire, and, when she felt comfortable again, went back to walking beside her. Discerning that her display of confidence for the bunny race had failed, Bubbles muttered something under her breath about a "stupid scary hawk", taking and nibbling on another piece of Basil.

This had all taken place before she had met the Kitsune on the path, but after meeting the fox, Bubbles was pretty sure she could no longer support the claim that Bunnies were a "fearless race", choosing instead to interact with everyone behind the protection of Sumire's back.

Thus, It had came as a partial relief when, under Sumire's more forceful guidance, they began to move past the Fox spirit. However, they were soon interrupted by the fox directly addressing them. Curious as to why the fox's voice was so quiet, Bubbles peeked at the fox from behind Sumire's back.

She was in a worse state than Bubbles had originally perceived. She was dirty and shaking, and it appeared as if she had been clenching the ground in pain. Even to a bunny like her the threat of being eaten for dinner seemed to lie miles away. So what was the source of danger that Bubbles was feeling?

Looking up, she came face to face with a half-demon, one dressed in pure black and smiling. Seeing the kitsune was lying on the ground, and the smiling half-demon standing above her, Bubbles' mind quickly jumped to conclusions. Jumping out from behind Sumire, Bubbles thrust a finger at the half-demon. "Murderer! You're killing this fox!"

"Bleh!" Bubbles stuck her tongue out. "Stinky half-demon." Then, realizing her whole body was now exposed before a dangerous being she had just insulted, Bubbles jumped back behind Sumire. At a volume only Sumire could hear, Bubbles whispered, "I've softened their defenses. It's your turn, I'll offer support from behind your back."

I mean, yeah but as far as I knew you still had to figure it out. I was under the impression that Yu could either see something or smell something other species couldn't

Had he not done that he probably could have walked away

My thought was that knowing who was a half-demon was the easiest, as they most likely had the most unique smell/sense of danger. Bubbles also is a bunny, so she has enhanced smell. I can change it if you'd like, it only takes some slight modifications つ ◕_◕ ༽つ

... She's getting perfume if erryone is gonna just smell her out XD
It's fine as long as she has a reason to believe it!

No I can't blame you for my own poor hindsight. Aurelie's supposed to be based on total deception, and she really should have had perfume, but it's likely that she didn't know that her demonic background gave off a stench - or something along those lines
