Fantasy The Knights and the Dragon Brothers OOC

And mine is just a very sharp and sturdy dagger that can poke ... She can't use it for slicing meat or anything XD
can cut fruit though. and clothes. and a bit of skin. Dagger is great, but Ragnfridr was weak as hell with physical

Oh I'd definitely believe that. Elves are the experts of varying degrees of craftsmanship in this world.

Not sure what you mean about lord of the rings, though. I tried looking it up but couldn't find it ^^;

I remember the cape by the elves. I certainly thought of that when I let Ragnfridr have the capes XD
Lord of the Rings is like the basis of most fantasy, so it's great to see reference. Even though there are tons.

Sting is a fictional artefact from J. R. R. Tolkien's fantasy universe of Middle-earth. In the story, it is a magical Elvish knife or dagger presumably forged in Gondolin in the First Age.

In The Hobbit (1937), hobbit Bilbo Baggins finds the blade in a troll-hoard, along with the swords Glamdring and Orcrist. Although it is only a dagger by the standard of Men or Elves, it serves as a sword for the diminutive Bilbo. He uses it to fight off the giant spiders in Mirkwood, and names the blade after the talking spiders refer to it as his "sting". Gollum is afraid of Sting, which aids Bilbo in his confrontation with Gollum under the Misty Mountains. Bilbo gives Sting to his nephew Frodo Baggins in The Fellowship of the Ring (1954). When Frodo is betrayed at the pass of Cirith Ungol, Samwise Gamgee takes the blade to prevent it from falling into enemy hands, but later returns it to Frodo. In The Return of the King (1955), Frodo gives Sting and all of his other possessions to Sam before Frodo departs for the Undying Lands.

Sting has the magical ability to detect orcs or goblins nearby, glowing blue in their presence, as it did when the Fellowship encountered orcs in the mines of Moria.[1] Tolkien establishes this as a common property of First Age Elf blades, particularly those forged in Gondolin. Sting is also exceptionally sharp. Bilbo manages to thrust it without effort deep into a wooden beam at Rivendell. Frodo also wounds a troll in Moria, after Boromir notches his own sword with his attempt. Sam uses Sting to cut through the giant spider Shelob's strong webs with ease, and also wound the spider, driving it away from the paralyzed Frodo.

The writer is a professor and a researcher and he has dug origins of European folklore perfectly.

SORRY FOR DELETING! For some reason RPNation posted my thing twice but when I deleted the second one, it deleted both my comments... no idea how that worked.

Anyway

Ohh, I see. I don't think I have any goblins or orcs in this story, but having a sharp dagger is always super useful!

It's not the same blade so I want to use it against night creatures. It's light blinds them.

Sure, that'll definitely help if she was going against one or two leopardbats! They attack in herds, though, and the only way to kill a bunch at a time is to have an Attack and Defense stat of 10 each, as well of a Weapons Knowledge of 5+. Having a Speed stat of 5+ is helpful, too, but it's not mandatory.

About the brewing thing, I'm thinking potions will have lesser strain on user, but limited type of use and need to gather ingredients(usually simple approach but differ on how potent it is). And spells having more variety, all most some spells for all purpose, but more strains on the user. Ritual combines both, is powerful but time consuming and depends on the requirement can be extremely straining.

Still figuring out the differences. For now Ragnfridr is trying to make potions if she need it on the journey so she dont have to use all her energy etc.

That thing reminds me of a fox spirit that awaits for maidens in heart of forest or the fox in Pinocchio's story.

This character is more like the one in the pinnochio story of the two c: I don't want to give too much away, I'm actually introducing this character a lot earlier than I planned because I promised that something would happen for Ragnfridr XD

Sorry for not responding rigjt now, guys... I'm just waiting for animegirl c'8 don't want to leave her so far back like last time ^^;

animegirl20 animegirl20 Osthavula Osthavula MJ ._. MJ ._.

Hey guys... I have a question. Would you rather the one-on-one interactions with your characters and the princes that don't involve anyone else be in PM so that they don't disrupt the flow of the story, or are you guys fine with having them here on the thread?

I prefer having it open so we know what is happening. It's part of the stories too.
That and what ship will happen in the future XD
I should stop using XD so much, someone tell me a replacement

Alright, sure thing!
I like using XD
I think it helps me with the tone of the message a bit? Since sometimes I'm a bit dense and I'm usually unsure how to interpret messages.

I'll die of curiosity if I don't know what others are doing! And reading theirs gives me new ideas and also I can avoid doing the same thing that they have done.
