I keep forgetting to add this, but please note that nobody remembers the story of the cursed princes. There are a few exceptions to this rule, and I already approved some of the stories surrounding this. This will come to play later, I promise!

When I was thinking about it, perhaps the mirror were relics of some forgotten culture or people? Either that or it is super difficult to make? Or is it just high level, and someone gift it to them? How rare is it?

I would have to say extremely rare. Yoshi doesn't know how to make it herself; she apparently found it without knowing what it did.
The guys think she was just trying to get rid of some junk in her house by giving it them, lol. They were planning on selling it but Mitch grew too attached to it.
