The King's Daughter [Inactive]

She listened to his words and nodded, agreeing with his wisdom. Anadriel stepped carefully behind the self-claimed Dragonborn and followed his signals, avoiding any steps that looked suspicious or stones that seemed too loose. As the voices grew louder the princess drew her bow and prepared an arrow for launching.

"...we're close," she whispered.

Sorex gives Ana a little nod as they approach a large wooden door at the very end of the long trapped corridor. The voices on the other side were prominent, and nobody would need any experience to know that the Bandit chief was likely on the other side. He hefts his mace beside him to comfort him before speaking in a soft voice. "Ready?"

"Ready."

Anadriel drew back her bow and waited approximately three seconds, before lunging herself from behind their wall of protection and firing one arrow after the other. The first bandit was pierced through the heart and struck dead, having been foolish enough to leave his armor on the chair beside him, and the second bandit managed to scrape by with only a single arrow to the shoulder. Neither arrow struck the Bandit Chief; she figured Sorex could take care of that one, and show her exactly what he's made of.

Sorex charges through zealously as Ana releases her arrow, there were only a few Bandits in the room, and his companion had already taken out one and made another retreat. Not to be outdone, he smashes his mace into the face of one of the Bandits defending the chief, a rather spectacular blood spurt shoots out of his head with a fleshy thud as the weapon connects. The Bandit chief turns around to see the attackers, a defiant look in his eye. He unsheathes a long, glowing blade as he plays with a ball of lightning in his hands, though it didn't deter the Dragonborn from bashing the chief down using all his might. The chief stumbles back for a moment before launching a cascade of lightning at Sorex, but fortunately he avoided some of the spell by diving behind a stone pillar, arcane lightning pulsing over his armor as he catches his breath.

The chief was certainly tougher than he looked. Anadriel shot another arrow at the man, which successfully lodged itself into the bandit's side, but the man was still up and walking much to Ana's regrets. She threw a dagger that the man dodged, leaving Ana nearly defenseless with only three arrows left and one dagger at her side.

"Hurry!" she shouted to her companion, attempting to give him the opportunity for the final blow. She ran as the chief chased her across the room, sending curses and vulgar insults in her direction as well as explicit threats. Ana had heard them all before and was thankful that her temper didn't seem to pay any mind, though she silently pleaded that her distraction would open the window opportunity for Sorex. The princess paused to fire another arrow, managing to hit the brute in his shoulder, but still he ran in pursuit of her.

As the arcane lightning fades from Sorex's armor, he takes a look around to evaluate the situation, though seeing Ana being chased around by the angry Chief made him quickly sprint into action. With the Bandit's back turned as he pursued Ana, Sorex sheathed his mace and took out the warhammer strapped to his back as he lunges at the Chief, slamming the warhammer down on the chief's head with as much force as he could muster. Predictably, the chief collapses after the attack, landing face first with a thud. Sorex takes a glance down at the fallen Chief before looking up at Ana again. "Nice shooting."

Ana couldn't help but release a scream, watching her pursuer fall to the dirt with what was left of a skull. The princess had never seen such violence in all her travels, though she supposed it should give her great comfort, knowing the man before her was as strong as he looked.

She paused to take her breath for several moments before looking up to Sorex. "Oh, thank you," she chuckled nervously as she pushed herself to her feet. "Nice skull-bashing."

"Thanks." He said proudly, admiring his handiwork. He had seen alot of death during his travels, and had dealt a significant amount himself, so he had adopted a 'Kill or be killed' attitude when it came to handling attackers, and as such was mostly remorseless. He sticks his finger in his ear momentarily as though trying to take out a blockage, before inspecting his finger and wiping it on his armor. "Are you alright? I mean... wounded or anything? I couldn't help but notice the scream."
