The King's Daughter [Inactive]

"At least a few days. Your wounds are deep but not poisoned, and depending on your skills in regenerative magic you could be out of here by Sundas." Anadriel began to dress his wounds. "Not that I mind the company by any means."

"I know a thing or two about Restoration." He says slowly, as if a bit unsure of himself, the sun was beginning to go down on the horizon, and the clear orange light shone unhindered to where the two were conversing, though as Sorex summoned a white light and let it play around his fingers, the white light seemed so inferior in the sunset. "Uhm... Maybe I'll give it a go tomorrow..."

"That would be advised," she chuckled. "Unfortunately I have no skill in any magic, so you're on your own. Do you think you can sleep, Sorex?" Ana began rinsing her hands in the nearby bowl of water and looked to the stranger with a look of fondness.

"I should be able to." He says gratefully, though inside he felt a little pang of guilt in the pit of his stomach. "Do you need me to get up? Where will you sleep?"

"I'm not cruel," she chuckled. "I can sleep on the floor or in a chair, I don't mind. Your comfort is priority, Dragonborn." The smile on Ana's gentle face was kind, almost motherly. It lifted her spirits to be able to care for someone like this.

"If I am not awake when you are, please feel free to shout at me."

Sorex gave Ana a little smirk, he supposed it would be foolhardy to believe just anyone was Dragonborn, though he couldn't quite tell if she was being sarcastic or not. He shuffles a little bit in the bed. "Thanks for everything, Ana... Goodnight"

"You are welcome," she chuckled. "And goodnight."

When dawn rose the next morning, Anadriel was awake preparing a meal for the two of them. She didn't sleep much, having remained conscious enough in case the supposed Dragonborn needed her assistance. Thankfully his wounds had not attracted infection, which would have been beyond her skill to heal. Little miracles.

Sorex lifts himself a little higher in the bed when he awakens to the smell of food. As if he had forgotten about his wounds, he was quick to heave himself of the bed, though as his feet touches the floor he instant reels back. "Hmm... Good morning."

"Good morning," Anadriel replied, turning to look at him. "Are you sure you should attempt standing, Sorex? At least let me help you."

He glances at Ana with a tender smile, he didn't want to admit that he had forgotten he had been injured, normally he couldn't even imagine being crippled. As Ana helps him up, he leans most of his weight on the bed, keeping his injured foot off the ground. He felt rather weak since he didn't have his armour on, so he immediately glances over to the corner where it rested to reassure himself. "I think I might try using some Restoration magic."

"At least get something in your stomach first, hm?" She chuckled and let him sit by himself on the bed, going to fetch a plate of bread and fruit to bring to him. "I hope you like apples."

"Sounds like a good idea to me." He says with smile and graciously takes the plate of bread and fruit from her. He munches happily on the meal, swallowing before speaking again. "You seem pretty well equipped up here."

She gave a soft smile. "I have to be. Though I wish I could leave." Anadriel redressed his wounds and handed him a cup of water, relieved that he was talking, moving and eating with ease. He would be out of her temporary home by Sundas at the latest, so it seemed, and then she would be alone once more, which wasn't something she looked forward to.

"It's complicated." Anadriel frowned deeply. "I suppose I could leave, but...oh, it's a long story, and one too dangerous to share."

"Oh." Sorex said a little sadly, though he supposed it would be rude to intrude on her personal problems. He eats the rest of his meal in an awkward silence before gently placing it on a nearby table. "Alright, lets see if I can heal myself on a full stomach."

"Alright. Good idea." Anadriel smiled sadly at him before sitting back in her chair, watching, hoping he would have success.

Perhaps, if she was offered, she could travel with a protector like him.

He stands up slowly, hobbling on his injured foot before raising his hand to let the bright strand of light return to his fingers. After a moment of the light playing in his hands, he clenches his fist, and immediately the light grows out and surrounds him. After a few seconds, the light stops, and he sits back down exhausted. He takes a look down at his foot to where the arrow wound was only a few moments ago to see it had closed significantly and scabbed over. He lets off a bit of a tired laugh. "Haven't needed to do that in a while, looks like I still got it."

Anadriel's face lit up at his success; she hadn't expected the man to be so strong, performing Restoration magic in such a wounded state.

"Perhaps I underestimated you," she spoke in a soft amazement.

"Most do." He says with a proud grin before stretching and flexing his muscles. Satisfied with their regeneration, he wanders nonchalantly over to where his armour was. "It's always handy to have something hidden away to use in a pinch." He didn't know much about Ana, but the fact that she had been a bit secretive about her past made Sorex just a little suspicious. "You're certainly more than meets the eye, young lass like you surviving out here in the wilderness with a mysterious past." He says with a playful smile as he fits his armour back around his bandages.

Anadriel watched him flex his muscles and found herself fighting to keep her thoughts pure.

"Oh, it's not mysterious much," she chuckled sheepishly as she took a small sip from her cup of water. "It's just...mm, something I'd rather not talk about. I don't particularly enjoy it out here, but there was never much of an option."

Sorex nods in acknowledgement as he finishes fastening his armour. Briefly, a thought crosses his mind, it seemed outlandish and perhaps a little foolish at first, but he couldn't quite shake the idea of it. "I could give you another option." He says confidently. "Why don't you travel with me? I mean... it might get a little dangerous at times, but I'll always be around to protect you. Surely exploring Skyrim is better than being cooped up in an old shack all day, besides, I owe you one for saving my life." He says happily, he normally did get a bit lonely travelling from hold to hold, and more often the only human contact he had were bandits, shopkeepers or the helpless, so he would more than welcome some companionship.

"Travel? With the 'Dragonborn'?" Anadriel considered him for a moment with a foolish smile; if anyone could protect her from the justice of the Empire, it would be him, the only man no one dared to challenge.

"...Are you certain, Sorex? I'm not the best at close-range fighting..."

"Oh, don't worry about close-range fighting. I've got that covered." He takes up his shield an bangs it defiantly a few times to prove his point.

Ana smiled. "Are you sure I wouldn't get in the way? The Dragonborn must have very important business," she added with mock seriousness--Ana appreciated that he was playful, and his personality was easy to get along with.
