The Justicar

Three Years Later

The last three years had been strenuous. Academics, martial training, and magic. She was more than prepared to deal with any enemy Arterius had heard of. She would be the first of the new order of Justicar, and he could not be more proud of her. He had finished business in the east, just in time to make the long journey home in time for her eighteenth birthday. It was not celebrated in any particularly festive manner, as pomp and circumstance were unfitting of such a person. However, it was the day her master would return to bless her weapon himself, and he was no more than a week away.

"Allegra, dear!" The shout was punctuated by the pounding of metal against metal. The speaker was Shayna, the woman who had been put in charge of forging the great two-handed sword that would become the up-and-coming Justicar's weapon. She was proud of the work so far. It was powerful, yet ornate. The pommel was engraved with the mark of the Order, and the blade was inlaid with strong mystical symbols that insured the blade would never dull nor break. Only one more enchantment was left to make, and Shayna intended to leave it up to the wielder herself. Anything she wanted would be made. Shayna had never been unable to fulfill a request, and she would not fail this time either.

But first, the initiate had to come down to the forge.

Allegra was Just about there, just a little bit further until she could be considered a true Justicar! The duties of her life finally being ready to begin, outside of theoretical conflicts and surprise training sessions--things that would likely never go away.

Still, she was adapting to it rather nicely, and her weapon was being finished right at the point where her final growth was in--of course, she was still a little on the petite side, but as fit and athletic as you might expect from her long and hard practice.

She had, of course, recieved word that she would need to be present for the final forging of her weapon, and was sure to be along on time--she wondered what the final step would entail though...
