The Inn at the Edge of the World (OOC)

Alright, so would I have to make another roll to determine anything more about this noise in the dark?

Technically residual fallout from fae nonsense~ I don't think Lyke would be lucky enough to survive an encounter with a Hulbrad in this age .

Idk, I think anything is possible with enough ice cream and attitude. Lyke has the attitude, now we just need to get her the ice cream.

Indeed. I would have posted earlier so we could move the story along, but my internet decided to take a dirt nap for a few hours. =\

Heh, this is nothing compared to what I did when I first started roleplaying back in the old days. The days of Gaia Online. I was pumping out posts hourly for three different RP's during the weekend. Constantly refreshing pages, checking character bios, reading posts, it was insane.

I'm not as young as I used to be, can't keep up with that crap anymore. =P

I'll wait and see before posting. Have to be careful, need to wake up the others ASAP and not run off on our own, I don't want to be accused of canoodling

Speaking from experience whilst camping, yes yes it can be.

In any case, Lyke would be much more encouraged with a draught in her hand, a roaring hearth, and roof over her head.

We've been on the road what? A couple weeks? Gross~

Not necessarily. There's plenty of evidence that historically people liked to be clean, have combed hair and generally feel fresh whenever they could. In fact if you want to see some evidence about that I suggest you look up Lindybeige on youtube. He's an archaeologist (and I suspect anthropologist) that likes to make little vlogs about historical things that pop into his head. Quite a few times he's spoken about how he absolutely hates how Hollywood portrays the lower classes in historical films because they were usually not these unclean, unkempt sodomites that they're made out to be.

But being out in the woods with no rivers or streams, yeah. People out traveling tended to stink if they didn't bring those things with them.

I haven't done a cultural exercise on the bathing habits of folks in Dark Ages... though that's reminding me to do it for other things, such as Darkening Skies...

It's a safe bet to assume that if people could keep themselves clean, they would do so. Nobody likes to feel dirty for very long, and it does horrible things to your skin if you don't bathe every few days or so.

I've known people like that too, and if you want to feel gross then that's your choice. But generally speaking it's not something people have liked to do since time immemorial.
