Personally, I was comfortable hosting two quests, plus the NPCs back at the inn. No real limit to the amount of quest parties going out though.

I see, I see... I think at most I'll only do one at a time while participating in another and having my goons probably out ruining yet a third.

Is it possible for Khortja to meet people in the field and not actually be part of the guild or hall? Because her kind aren't exactly welcome in civilized company. she might have a standing bounty on her head

ANYWAY. General recaps: There's currently three (four, technically but one is wrapping up) quests going right now. It's up to Genii if aforementioned quests can have late arrivals, but thus far the running trend is to arrive at the inn for a fancy "inntroduction" and then take on a quest from there...

Though on closer inspection... your OC doesn't seem like the type to just roam into a town (at least not without a really good reason). So I'm really anxious to see what you come up with in terms of starting off her adventure!

Quests:
Ruins of Bal'Dak: The designated group arrives to meet the professor Hawkins. They pass through the Baylin's Wall only to be stopped by a scuffle between a wayward Calixtos and a group of ruffians over his newfound griffin companion, whom he's named Arthagus. Note that this group is currently being stalked by antagonists, compliments of me.

Holes: The designated group accompanies the local yokel Farmer Giles to his nearby farm. They discover that the holes (and by proxy, whatever made them), is larger than advertised. The group descends into one of aforementioned holes engage in a face-off with the culprit beast: the Shaelmaar. The Shaelmaar has now been defeated and the quest members should soon be en route back to the Inn.

Find Fifi: The designated group leaves in search of the missing puppy, Fifi. Arriving to a wooden area, they soon discover a ritualistic shrine, and the surrounding animals (Fifi included) are under some sort of occult influence, confirmed when they attack the group. They're repelled, and a Leshen emerges to continue the fight. Group is currently engaged in combat with the Leshen.

Oghma's Ruins: The designated group arrives to the eastern region of Hartland to discover a town under attack.

Back at the Guild Hall: Nothing at present...

Holding true to Goblin nature, Khortja will not give a shit about the death of other goblins unless it inconveniences her in some way.
As I said, she's a Neutral Evil character. Although, this might make a good way to introduce her into the mix. I dunno. I might be too late into the narrative to properly set her up for that kind of introduction. If they are already engaging these goblins, I have missed my opportunity to have made Khortja part of their number (assuming I even get permission for such a thing). I could possibly have her of been traveling to meet these goblins over ...i dunno.. goblin business? Totally needs to be discussed with whomever is in charge of that mission, i.e. the GM

But if I missed that opportunity, I'll figure something else out

EDIT: After reading over the lore more thoroughly, I've taken an interest in having Khortja come down from the North through Baylin’s Wall. She is essentially a barbarian, after all. She's a nomadic creature and is most at home in the wilds.

No, definitely not. She's more likely to be run out of town, than to be allowed to freely walk the streets. Traipsing into the inn and signing the registry is not how I had planned on doing this. I can be creative about it, I just need to see the proper opportunity present itself. I'll hafta read over the various threads and see if there is a good way to insert Khortja into any of them at their current state.

Genii , btw, I'm not sure who I needed to inform about this, but my availability to post ICly should be expected to be around two (maybe three) posts a week. And never more than once on any given day. So whomever I wind up being involved within my narratives here shouldn't expect anything quicker than that. I just want to make that clear before I jump into any quests that are enjoying a pace that is quicker than that.

gotcha. Since we just have the one thread for the north, I guess I'll wait until they are done there. Or... how would that work? I didn't see a generic thread, or anything that wasnt tied to a specific location. Or areyou suggesting I jump into the ruins quest? I could bump into the party there. But as you said, i need to discuss availability with anyone I'd be roleplaying with first. I don't want to bog down their current progress with unnecessary sidetracks like introducing my character, and then having them hold the line for me if I can't keep up. Seems inconsiderate.

On that note...
To the rest of the people registered to this RP and are not yet in on a quest. I am wanting to discuss some possibilities of taking on some roleplay here. With that in mind, here are some things to take note about Khortja:

• She hates humans and Elves. Not gonna blend well with either of their kind.
• Shes Neutral Evil. So goody-goody types need not apply.
• Dragons, draconians, and anything undead totally freak her out.
• She treats all beast people like animals
• Is just as likely to try and con the quest givers as she is to help them. whichever way gives the easiest path to a reward.
  • She might even help the "bad guys" if it turns out better for her.
• Can't go into the cities, cause she's a dirty, rotten goblin and everyone hates her kind. lol That means she can't lookup the quest board or use any of the facilities. Don't worry, I can RP my own way of camping out. But I'll definitely need the other person(s) in the party to acquire the jobs at the inn (or wherever it is that they find the quests in a city)

And once again, to reiterate: I post in multi-para format. Two, maybe three, times a week. And only once a day when I do post.

She's been a waitress the whole time. I feel like she could deal with the actual action, but the length of time it took to kill the beast was the tipping point--like, just listening to them wack at it while it screamed. Now she hasn't had a chance to pull herself back together. Plus, she was really happy to get that handkerchief.

She'll be fine. She just needs a chance to freak out in private, then pull herself together. Like half of it is relief, but she can't focus enough to tell that. It just feels like the tension broke and now she's...hollow or something.

FloofWhispers , your thread might be in the wrong section: the "quest" section seems to be more "choose your own adventure" than simply for any quest. I might be wrong, but I figured I'd mention it.

Consider it a creative alternative. She's less of a "hunter" and more of an outside element that has some potential to help (if she can be properly motivaed)

Again, alternative thinking here. She doesn't have to work for the guild. She doesn't have to get paid by the guild. Hell, she doesn't even have to get paid by anyone. If Khortja thinks that she can potentially loot the fuck out of a temple/ruin/treasury or attain items of considerable value even while just ON the quest, that's her payout. Hers isn't a culture that pays for things. They don't even really barter or trade. So getting paid for something isn't really a norm in her mind. She sees stuff she wants, she tries her best to take it. That's a goblin mindset. Shopkeepers that have their goods on display are basically just asking to get their products pilfered by goblin hands. (Hence why her kind are not welcome within cities and villages).

I, as a player, am happy to write together with anyone that can contribute a good, detailed exchange between our characters. That being said, I intend to keep Khortja in character. She melds best with other goblins, orcs, hobgoblins, gnolls, bugbears, kobolds (which is just the German word for Goblin), trolls, and even ogres (if they will take the time to talk to her).

Humans and Elves especially are races with deeply rooted vehemence between their kind and the goblin race. So, while I am completely open to writing their interaction with my goblin, they will not be positive interactions. lmao

Giving them a "hard time" would be an understatement.
