The Help From Hell

Kenji chuckled and caught Fang Hua with ease.


"So we do have feelings for Chin Ho then?" He asked smugly.

Lilly glared at him before going off to find TingZhe to see if he needed any help with Chun Hei. Although no one would be able to see it, she was burning a fiery red, even brighter than the depths of hell. She mentally killed Fang Hua and Kenji multiple of times, curse them for being so stupidly observant.


Giggling, Fang Hua easily pulled herself out of Kenji's arm and spun around to face him, " She does " she said with a smirk. " F...Fang H-Hua ", came Zhang Pai's quiet voice from behind her. Gracefully, Fang Hua made her way towards her master and checked on him to make sure that he was okay. Zhang Pai was a scarlet red the entire time that she fretting over him.

Kenji chuckled. He walked back over to Chun Hei, seeing as though everyone was checking on their soul- I mean Young Masters and Mistresses.

Lilly had pulled TingZhe aside to bicker with them. It was more than obvious ha the two argued like siblings. TingZhe would be the one who wanted to have fun and relax while Lilly was the one who was on point and always demanded that respect and work be priority. Chun Hei watching them with an amused smile playing on her face, she ws used to watching them argue and bully one another to no end.


Nodding her head, Mika replied, " Yes. He seems very nice. Did I have a relationship with him at one point? ".


Hyorin nodded her head, " Mhm. I'll bring it another day so that you can try it on. It doesn't fit me that well anymore since I've gained some weight ". Lau was quick to try and convince Hyorin was she wasn't gaining weight and that she was even more beautiful than any gem in the world. The two were scarlet red during the conversation while Lou rolled his eyes.

Kenji walked up to Chun Hei and gave her a polite bow.


"Is there anything I can get for you Young Miss?"


Bae chuckled.


"No, but he has always seen you like a younger sister. He is very found of you Young Miss."


Elliot-Rose giggled.


"You know, if no one knew any better they would think you two were dating." She said to Hyorin.

Chun Hei smiled at Kenji and nodded, " A plate of macaroons please, Kenji. And am I to be expecting anymore guests? ", she asked.


Blushing, Mika looked down at her feet, a bit embarrassed and flattered that someone would be protective of her in such a way. Then she asked, " Why am I not allowed to meet any suitors? Some have written about me being childhood friends with them ".


Lau and Hyorin erupted into blushes while Lou scoffed. " I'm sure either of them wouldn't mind that. But what would the point be in a worker and their masters or mistresses being a couple if their love can never truly be? The master or mistress will eventually marry someone of their stature in order to continue on the legacy of riches and fame ", Lou informed them with an eye roll.


Hyorin pouted while countering, " You only say that because of Su- ", Lau had covered her mouth with his hand to cease her talking.

Kenji nodded.


"Young Miss. Avery called and asked if she could come and seek your advice." He said.


Bae sighed and gave a sad smile.


"I see you've caught me." He said. "You see Young Miss. Both Young Master Tai and I are very protective of you and we've met with all these men and.....well....." He sighed and stood, giving her a low bow. "Please excuse my ignorance."


Elliot-Rose gave a confused look to Hyorin.


"Who?"

" Of course, I do enjoy her company ", Chun Hei agreed without hesitation, however, TingZhe pouted because he wanted to have ' couple ' time with her.


Smiling, Mika shook her head and laced her hand with his. " It's okay, Bae. Now for my next question, do you have a loved one? ".


Before Lou could answer, Hyorin easily removed Lau's hand and continued to speak. " Bae Suzy is an old friend of mine, she's married at the moment and lives in Busan, South Korea. It was an arranged marriage but before she was sent off to be married, she and Lou had a cute thing going on. He's still touchy about the subject, but he is steadily trying to learn to move on ".

Kenji smiled and bowed.


"I'll call the Logan manor and inform them. Your macaroons will be out in a few minutes Young Miss." He said before walking off into the kitchen to inform the chef of Chun Hei's request. He then when to the kitchen phone and called Chin Ho. Chin Ho answered.


"Hello, Logan Manor, this is Chin Ho speaking how may I help you?" Kenji chuckled.


"So formal." He said. Chin Ho smiled and laughed.


"Oh Hey Kenji. What's up?"


"Young Miss Chun Hei said it was fine for Young Miss Avery to come over." Chin Ho nodded


"Alright then. We'll be over in a half hour. Thanks Kenji."


"No problem. Oh, I might want to mention that Lilly and Young Master TingZhe are here." Chin Ho's eyes went wide.


"They are?"


"Yes, they are. See you in a half hour." Kenji said with a dark chuckle before hanging up. Once the macaroons were finished, he took them out to Chun Hei. He smiled and set them out on the table. "Young Miss Avery's butler Chin Ho has informed me that they will be arriving in a half hour." He informed Chun Hei.


Bae gave a sad smile. He shook his head. "No Young Miss. I am completely devoted to taking care of you." He said. "Speaking of witch. You have a piano lesson soon." He stood and held out his arm for Mika to take. "Shall we?"


Elliot-Rose nodded and gave Lou a sad smile.


"I see..."

" Thank you, Kenji ", Chun Hei said with a smile before being whisked away by TingZhe, who wanted to show Zhang Pai and her the new trick he learned. Lilly had walked off to get some fresh air, leaving Fang Hua alone with Kenji. Pouting, Fang Hua complained, " How unlucky. Ever since Lilly set up TingZhe and Chun Hei, my Zhang Pai has been a third wheel along with Hime's boyfriend, Victor ", then she cutely scrunched up her face. " I truly don't know how Hime dates Victor. A mortal and a demon makes no sense to me... then again, Lau is interested in Hyorin. Honestly, demons are much more charming ". With a sigh, she ran her fingers through her hair before turning and smiled brightly at Kenji, " Don't you agree? ", she asked while clasping her hands behind her back. The twitch in her smile meant that she was starving and it kind of peeved her off that there weren't any good tasting souls nearby, until suddenly she perked up.


She spun on her heel and walked towards the left hallway, where a young butler, a newbie, was hard at work. " Excuse me ", she called his attention from behind, frightening the young boy. While trying to regain his breath from the shock, she caught whiff of his soul and instantly latched her lips onto his in a passionate lip lock. The butler, although shocked, melted into the kiss and wrapped his arms around her waist while she gripped onto the front of his shirt.


Blushing, Mika stood up and instead of taking his arm, entwined their fingers together and rested her head against his shoulder. Her heart was rapidly pounding within her chest and she could feel her throat go dry. Something about him made her happy and she wanted to know why, but that would be such a strange question to ask someone who has been caring for her due to her condition. " C...Can we...um ", she began to stutter while the redness of her cheeks grew stronger, " W....wal...walk in the ga-garden... um... tog-toge...together, just f-for a... w-while? ". She shyly smiled up at Bae, she felt like a school girl confessing to her crush. While staring into his eyes, she found herself letting go of his hand and wrapped her arms around his torso, she felt as though she was in a trance.


William, who was watching the scene, clenched his hands into tight fists while his jaw tightened at the sight. He desperately wanted to jump in between them and tell Mika everything, however, Bae would probably kill him and he loved seeing Mika so happy, he couldn't take that away from her.


Lou rolled his eyes at Hyorin's open conversation about his life. Sure, he did love Suzy, a mere mortal, sure he pinned over her for years, sure when she got married he was crushed, but he wasn't that upset...was he? He didn't think so at least, but his brother and Hyorin thought otherwise. " Miss Suzy is merely a friend now. Whenever she visits we have a polite conversation, nothing more nothing less ", Lou reminded Hyorin, but Lau snorted. " That's not happened before she got married or the last time she visited ", he muttered while Lou slapped him upside the head. Hyorin giggled at the sight before smiling at Elliot-Rose. " They're such children sometimes, but that is why I adore them so. Lau, Lou, could you please leave us be for a moment? ", she asked. The twins nodded before easily leaving the room to who knew where.


The beautiful melody of a piano flowed through the music hall while he played the piano. Lu Xun hd his eyes closed while he played, something about music just made him happy and it had actually managed to sate his thirst for souls at some point, quite odd, but he didn't question it. While playing, he still kept an ear out for Jessica in case she would call him down for any assistance, even if he was going to suck hr soul dry one day, he would still be a dutiful butler to her until it was time.

Kenji chuckled.


"Poor guy." Kenji whined. "He had such promise."


Bae smiled.


"Of corse Young Miss." He said, patting her head affectionately.


Once the twins were out of the room, Elliot-Rose gave a heavy sigh and flopped back on her bed.


"Oh my goodness...."


Jessica and Krystal were giggling and talking with each other in Jessica's room. Jessica had quickly gotten bored with the party planning and the two just decided to hang out in her room. Although they did get some things done. Now the two were looking through Jessica's closet to find a dress for her to wear at the party. Jessica groaned.


"There is literally nothing! I need something special for this party." She pouted. She then smirked to herself and called out. "Lu Xun~" Krystal rolled her eyes.


Levi sneaked around a corner in an abandoned side of the manor, where he saw Peter, anxiously waiting for him. Levi's heart swelled and he walked over to him, wrapping his arms around him.


"I've missed you." He whispered to him. Peter returned the huge, although far tighter than Levi.


"I missed you too." He said, burying his head in Levi's chest. Levi smiled and petted Peter's head affectionately. "I wish we didn't have to hide this." Peter said. "I want so badly to tell Jess and Ella about us." Levi's heart grew heavy. He knew the fate of Peter and his siblings, and he knew what he was doing was wrong. But he didn't care.


"Im sorry Peter...." He said, kissing his head. Peter looked up at Levi and gave him a sad smile.


"Levi....."


"Yeah?"


"I........I love you." Levi's heart skipped a beat. He smiled and kissed Peter happily. He pulled away with a grin.


"I love you too."

Fang Hua pulled away from the boy, watching as he disintegrated into nothing before letting out a joyful sigh. " Finally ", she breathed out in relief while her eyes returned to their normal color. Easily, she spun around and smiled at Kenji, " Now, lets continue with our plan ", she told him.


Blushing, Mika shyly began to lead him around the garden, oblivious to William, who was staring at Bae with hatred coursing through his veins. But what could a mere gardener do in comparison to a butler whose always by Mika's side? Nothing, that's what.


Hyorin giggled, " Oh, Elliot-Rose. Why the sudden sigh? ", she asked in a teasing voice while easily smoothing out her dress of any wrinkles or clumps.


" You called for me, Young Miss? ", Lu Xun asked from behind Jessica's door. How the hell he got there so quickly was a mystery to everyone, but there is much that a demon could and would do when it came to their next meal.


Lau and Lou, who had been roaming the halls, were surprised to see Peter and Levi together in a romantic way, but said nothing about it. Many humans and demons were becoming in both secret and right out in the open, such as Jung Hwa and Ai Min or Victor and Hime.

Kenji chuckled and held his arm out for Fang Hua to take.


"Chin Ho and Young Miss. Avery should be here shortly."


Bae smiled warmly as he walked with Mika around the garden. He enjoyed this time with Mika. And she seemed to enjoyed too.


Elliot-Rose sat up and gave Hyorin a playful glare.


"You know why."


Jessica smiled


"I need a new dress for the party on Saturday. Our theme is masquerade. Im sure you can find something?"


Levi sighed and kissed Peter lightly.


"I have to go. I'll see you later tonight." He gave Peter a wink before walking off. Peter blushed before walking in the other direction.

" Wonderful " , Fang Hua purred while grasping onto Kenji's arm, her heart pounding madly in her chest. It was odd, she knew that she liked Kenji, however, was unsure of her feelings towards Zhang Pai. But, it wasn't possible for her to like him since he is a human, it would make no sense.


Mika leaned against Bae while they were walking together. She noticed that William was staring at them and not paying attention to what he was doing. Suddenly, William cringed and looked down at the palm of his hand, which was bleeding after the sharp blades of the gardening shears made a cut through his palm. Worried, Mika left Bae's side and made her way over to William. Her eyes widen when she saw the blood and she quickly grasped his uninjured hand and dragged him back into the manor.


Hyorin giggled before replying, " I don't know why you like him. He can be quite mean sometimes ". Her tone was teasing, but she knew that she couldn't say anything since her crush is on the older Park Lee sibling.


" Of course, young miss ", Lu Xun replied before leaving the door and contacted Tai by the phone. " Tai, do you possibly believe that young miss Lu Chu could make a dress for young miss Jessica for her masquerade this Saturday? ". It was quiet for a moment before Tai answered, " We'll be there shortly. Lu Chu will help Jessica with the designing before making the outfit ". With that being said, the two bid each other a farewell before hanging up.

Kenji chuckled.


"So, what shall we do while we wait for Chin Ho to get here?"


Bae followed behind Mika. His expression fading into a heavy glare. He would have a conversation with William later.


Elliot-Rose rolled her eyes


"Oh please. You've got a thing for Lau!"


Jessica smiled


"Thanks Lu Xun~" She said before turning back to Krystal. "Now lets talk about you're going to wear." Krystal sighed.


"I was thinking that big red one I got a couple months back for that party in the Philippines that I ended up not going to because I got sick." Jessica gasped


"Oh my goodness yes! That would be perfect!"

Fang Hua shrugged, " I'm not sure. It's so boring nowadays. Usually I spend my time with young master Zhang Pai. He's so shy, but I find it quite adorable ", she said with a giggle.


Mika guided William to the first aid room, where she sat him down on a chair and quickly grabbed the needed materials to nurse his injury. Throughout the entire process, poor William was red with embarrassment and worry as to what would happen to him in the future. Yet, it disappeared when Mika had begun to gently care for his minor wound.


" I know... ", Hyorin replied with a blush, " But at least he's a bit nicer than Lou. Ever since she left, Lou has been in a mood very often ", she argued with an adorable pout on her face.

Kenji shrugged.


"There are means of entertainment." He said with a smirk.


Bae followed behind and eyed William carefully. He stood silently behind Mika.


Elliot-Rose shrugged and smiled lightly.


"I don't mind...." She confessed

" Hm... ", she hummed in response before pausing in mid-step. Then, she asked, " Do you ever wonder what Jung Hwa or Hime sees in their significant others? ".


Sighing with relief, Mika finished patching up William's injury before standing up straight and smiled down at him. William shyly blushed before rubbing the back of his neck with his uninjured hand. " Make sure to change the bandage later ", she told him before spinning around and made her way over to Bae. Lovingly, she wrapped her arms around Bae's torso and smiled up at him.


Hyorin smiled before standing up and stretched, " Do you ever plan on telling him? ", she curiously asked.

Kenji shrugged.


"Happiness I would assume." He glanced down at Fang Hua before looking back up. "Light.....as demons, we don't see much of it....and to be honest.....sometimes....I miss it.....and...If I had a big of light...I wouldn't let it go..." He trailed off thoughtfully.


As soon as Mika turned back to him, Bae's expression changed from cold to warm within seconds. He hugged her back with a warm smile.


"So shall we go to your piano lesson Young Miss?"


Elliot-Rose sighed


"I would like to but...He doesn't seem interested...besides he barely knows my name..."

Fang Hua nodded her head, understanding his reasoning. " I see.... well, lets both hope we find this supposed light or happiness. Whatever it's called ", she told him with a smile.


" Okay, Bae ", Mika replied before looking back at William. She smiled and waved bye before exiting the room, leaving behind a now trembling William.


Giggling, Hyorin replied, " Oh, Elliot-Rose. You always put yourself down and look on the negatives. Think of the positives for once ".

Kenji smiled down at Fang Hua.


"Yes, Lets." There was a knock at the door and Kenji smirked. "Looks like Young Miss Caitlyn and Chin Ho are here." He said before heading towards the door.


Bae guided Mika to the music room.


"Are you ready for your lesson Young Miss?"


Elliot-Rose sighed.


"What is positive in this situation?"

Fang Hua grinned mischievously before turning around, " I'll go and find Lilly, she'll want to greet them ", she said. Her lips widen into a smile when she saw Lilly rounding the corner. " Lilly! ", she called as she skipped over to her and clung onto her arm, " Come and say hi to the guests! ".


" Kind of... ", Mika hesitantly answered, " I'm worried that I won't remember anything... ".


Hyorin thought about it for a moment before replying, " He's attempting to get over her ".
