An orphanage for abandoned heirs and heiresses opened a couple of years ago, lets say about ten. The children would be housed and given therapy until they're able to go go back to their homes and continue on with their lives. Each heir or heiress is assigned a maid or a butler, who has swore an oath in protecting them for the rest of eternity. Many, those who have not been to this orphanage, proclaim that the maids and butlers are much like Sebastian from Black Butler, mysterious and always perfect. Yet, their masters simply brush off the strange accusation, as though their helpers personas are not much of a shocker.


Their masters are very much aware of who their helpers are. Demons from the fiery pits of hell sent to the mortal world to care for wealthy heirs and heiresses left behind after the death of their parents. Chosen by the King of their realm to watch over the children as they grow older and ensure that their souls are his and his only.

Another beautiful morning, just lovely really. The rays of the sun shone brightly and illuminated the budding nature that resides on solid ground. Birds sing to the rise of the sun and the beat of the blowing winds. Horns of cars gently sound throughout the town as the people make their way to work and school in hopes of being on time and not late.

The quiet echos of footsteps tapped down the tile hallway flooring, the lights flickered on after the figure passed under each bulb. The curtains flew open as he gracefully walked by, allowing the warm rays to enter the hall. No one was else awake, just him, he is, of course, one hell of a butler as he had heard many people say, something about quoting a man named Sebastian and Black Butler. He only chuckled and smiled at their strange humor, they have such odd taste, very odd.


He approached the wooden door at the end of the hall and knocked on it, the thump thump echoing within the empty halls. " Young Miss, it's time to awaken ", he said in his clear, honey like voice. The sound a shuffle came from behind him, which caused the young man to turn around and face the poor maid, who only recently started. " Marin, explain to me why you're wandering the halls and not preparing the table for breakfast ", he ordered as he smiled at the scarlet red faced girl as she cast her gaze to the ground.


" I...I was looking for you, Lu Xun ", she answered, feeling her heart pound madly in her chest. This entertained Lu Xun, well maybe more like bothered him, he would receive confessions from maids all the time, ever since he started working under Young Miss Jessica. " Are you planning on confessing? ", he asked as he took a step towards her, his smile not faltering, not even as he gently lifted her chin to look up at him. " You've caught me in a good mood ", he whispered gently in her ear, just so that she wouldn't see his eyes glow red. Then he placed his lips against hers, his eyes remaining open throughout the whole process. He watched as the life within her shocked eyes drained out until nothing was left and her entire body had gone limp, causing her lips to disconnect from his and collapse onto the ground. Lu Xun smirked down at Marin watching as her body suddenly was enveloped into the darkness before he returned his attention back to the still closed door, then, he knocked again. " Young Miss, it's time to wake up ", he repeated with a smile on his face.

At the Chu Manor, Tai gracefully walked down the many halls as he headed to Lu Chu's room. As he passed, workers, who had already been awake in hopes of seeing him, stared in awe at the eye patch that covered his right eye. They deemed him as a hero for saving Lu Chu, but he was only doing this so that he could still have a soul to suck out when the right time came. To say that he hadn't bonded with the girl would be a lie, he found her company to be tolerable since she isn't loud and mischievous. He preferred her over that TingZhe character, he pitied Lilly, whom he considered a good friend of his, for being forced to put up with his antics.


" You two, start preparing the dining room for breakfast ", he ordered a pair of maids, who blushed and obeyed him. Then he turned his attention towards a group of butlers, who tensed when they realized that they had caught his attention, " Begin the morning cleaning and I expect not a single shred of dust when I do an examination ", he stated as he continued making his way down the hall, his hands behind his back as he made his way past them. Tai has more power than any of the helpers within the manor, mainly because he's been such a devoted worker to the Young Miss.


" There you are, Tai ", came the cold voice of his beloved host. Tai stared at Lu Chu, inwardly pleased that she had awoken herself up and he wouldn't have to deal with the problems of awakening her himself. " Young Miss ", he bowed politely before straightening up and following back down the hall. " The maids have begun to set up the table, shall we take a brief stroll in the gardens until they come fetch us? ", he asked her. Lu Chu nodded, " Yes, but lets make the walk brief, I am in no mood to stay outdoors for long ", she told him. Tai couldn't help but mentally agree with her, the heat outside was unbearable today. " A wise decision, Young Miss ", he told her.

Grey eyes filled with love and admiration watched as the beautiful brunette sleep peacefully in her plush, king sized bed. He carefully leaned over her body and brushed strands of her hair out of her porcelain like face before placing a chaste kiss on the top of her precious little head.


" Jung Hwa ", he heard her quietly moan out as she continued to sleep, which made the man's heart swell with happiness or whatever he had left. Jung Hwa stepped away from her and went to the silk curtains of her balcony doors and pulled them open, allowing in the morning sun. Then, he walked back over to his Young Miss and gently caressed her cheeks. " Darling Young Miss ", he whispered in a loving voice, " It is time to awake ".


Topaz eyes fluttered open and shined when landing on the red headed, gray eyed demon. " Good morning, Jung Hwa ", she whispered as she carefully sat up and leaned against his chest.


" Good morning, Ai Min ", Jung Hwa replied as he wrapped protective arms around her and kissed the top of his head, " Did you sleep well? ", to which Ai Min replied with a tired nod.


Neither of the two could figure out how they managed to fall into this predicament. A demon and master falling in love despite the rules being against it. He would also have to suck out her soul, but he couldn't do that, not to the woman he loved and finding a way around the rules would be difficult, almost too difficult, but he would find a way. So long as she smiled at him and gazed at him with the love he held for her, he would save her somehow.

Chun Hei was already wide awake before her butler, Kenji, could come and awaken her. She had been having trouble sleeping lately and she couldn't figure out why. All she did was have nightmares, some that seem far to feel to even comprehend. But, she wouldn't tell anyone, they have their own problems to deal with and hers would only be a bother. Sighing, she walked to her art stand and began to paint her nightmare. It had been a strange one, stranger than the others.


A shadowy hand with dried crimson blood staining it was holding a young woman, whom she recognized as TingZhe's, her boyfriend, maid, Lilly. It was such a vivid nightmare. Tears were rushing down Lilly's face and she had cuts and bruises marring her body. There were two voices crying out to save her, yet couldn't reach her in time, she was sucked through a dark portal where the shrill cries of the broken and damaged ruptured ear drums. A splatter of blood shot through the portal, followed the war cry of someone behind her, but she couldn't tell who.


" What are these nightmares? ", she quietly asked herself as she stared at her finished artwork, taking in the precise details she had painted throughout the canvas.


Of course, she's aware that her butler is a demon, she's also aware that TingZhe's maid is a demon, but she couldn't understand her nightmares, they were coming back too frequently for her to even comprehend them, sometimes it was the same recurring nightmare over and over again. She, herself, had become a bit scared to go back to sleep or even fall asleep in that case. The knock on her bedroom door broke her chain of thoughts and she regained her composure. " Enter ", she said in her usual, calm tone.

Mika had awoken before sunrise, she always enjoyed watching the sunrise, at least, from what she could remember she did. Since her accident, there were many things that she to relearn. What school she attended, who her friends are, what her parents did for a living, many things, she even had to relearn names.


" I wonder who my butler is ", she said aloud, forgetting her demon butler, Bae Honda again. It was a rare event for her to forget her loyal butler, but when she did forget, she usually ended up believing his words either way. It was a strange, yet twisted cycle, she would fall in love with her demon butler all over again and sometimes, if she did remember, she would be a cute, blushing doll.


Mika hummed a quiet tune, one that she barely remembered, she didn't know who taught her the melody, she jut thought of it one day. She closed the silk curtains of her window and walked to the light switch to turn the light on, she looked around her room, noticing a couple of signs and sticky notes written in very neat cursive on some of her pictures and furniture. Still humming, she walked over to the closest picture and examined the sticky note.


" Young Miss with her parents, Takuto and Mizumi Tahara ", she whispered as she gazed at the picture of a smiling family. She must have had fond memories with her parents since they look so happy in the picture, it cracked her heart a bit to know that she didn't remember them completely, but she seemed content with the pictures of smiling faces of her parents and her. Gently, she touched the picture, letting her fingertips linger on the faces of her mother and father for a couple of seconds before placing it back on it spot on her Victorian styled dresser and she walked over to another picture on her bedside table, picking it up. She giggled at the sight of her smiling brightly at the camera with her arm hooked to a young man's arm, who had a serious expression on his face. Mika felt a sticky note on the back of the frame and turned the frame over, carefully reading the sticky note.


" A Day at the Amusement Park with Bae ", she said in a confused voice and then flipped the frame back to the front to examine the picture. " He looks so serious... ", she mumbled, " I wonder who he is ".

Jessica groaned, hearing her butler Lu Xun calling her outside of her room.


"One more hour...." She called out to him in her groggy morning voice. She rolled over in bed and curled up in her blankets. From Jessica's personality you would think her room to be bright and cheerful when in fact, it was the exact opposite. She had dark purple walls with black trip, doors, and ceiling. She back and grey accents all over her wall. Her bed was adorned with elegant purple and silver bedding. A large chandelier hung on the ceiling and black curtains covered the windows leading to the balcony.


Levi walked through the halls of the Torres Manor, on his way to his Young Miss Elliot-Rose's room. He passed by Lu Xun at Young Miss Jessica's room.


"Good Morning Lu Xun." He said, he heard a muffled response from Jessica in her room about another hour. He chuckled "Good Luck." He said before walking past and around the corner to Elliot-Rose's room. He knocked on her door. "Young Miss Elliot-Rose? It's time to wake up." Elliot-Rose opened the door, still in her pajamas. She sighed


"Hello Levi." She said in an annoyed tone. "Come in." She said and walked over to the closet. Levi walked in behind her, closing the door. Unlike her sister, Elliot-Rose was much quieter and shy. But her room was bubbly and adorable like her sister. The walls were a soft pink with gold and white accents everywhere. Her canopy bed had a ornate white bed spread with gold and pink detailing. Everything was bright and happy. Elliot-Rose looked through her cloths. "I have no Idea what to wear...." She said out loud. Levi chuckled slightly. Elliot-Rose turned to look at Levi. "Help me.." She gave him a small smile before giggling. Levi chuckled


"Of corse Young Miss." He walked over to Elliot-Rose and the two began rummaging through her closet for an outfit.


Meroko sighed as she knocked on Young Master Peter's door again, for the fifty third time, she was counting.


"Young Master its time to wake up." Peter groaned in response.


"Go away Meroko!" Meroko sighed.


"Young Master I wish I could but you have a staff meeting this morning with your sisters and the staff from the Puerto Rican branch of the Company." Peter groaned again


"But I hate meetings!"


"I know Young Master but you must go..." Peter groaned once more and opened the door, his hair was a mess and he had a very annoyed face on.


"I'm awake." He growled.


"May I come in?" Meroko asked. Peter rolled his eyes and walked back over to his bed


"Yeah whatever...." Meroko walked inside and closed the door. Peter, unlike his sisters, didn't bother decorating his room. He left the decorations his parents had left for him. His room was simple and ornate at the same time. He flopped onto his bed and groaned "Can I please go back to sleep?" He asked, muffled by his pillow.


"I'm sorry Young Master you have to stay awake." She said, opening his curtains. Peter sat up and covered his eyes


"Aw, shit..." He groaned "Warn a guy huh?"


"My apologies Young Master. Shall I draw your shower now?" Meroko asked. Peter waved her off


"Yeah yeah go ahead....." Meroko nodded and went into Peter's bathroom to draw his shower.

Krystal and Samual were walking in the halls towards the dinning room.


"What's for breakfast today Samual?" She asked.


"French Toast with fresh fruit and your choice of milk or orange juice."


"Can I have both milk and orange juice?"


"Of corse Young Miss." He said. Krystal nodded


"What's on today's schedule?" She asked.


"You have a fairly relaxed day Young Miss. At 8 am you have a meeting with the Filipino branch of the Foundation. Lessons from 10 am to 2 pm with lunch at 12pm. At 4:30pm you have a piano lesson and then at 6pm you have a voice lesson." Krystal nodded


"Any mail?" She asked


"Yes Young Miss, its waiting for you in the dinning room." Krystal nodded


"Wonderful. Thank you Samual." Samual nodded


"Anything for you, Young Miss Krystal."

Avery sat eating her breakfast, with her butler Chin Ho standing behind her. She was opening up mail as she ate. She saw an interesting parcel from....the Torres Manor? She opened it and read the letter. She smiled


"Its an invite to Jessica's party this weekend! Chin Ho please tell me we have nothing going on, on Saturday?" Chin Ho shook his head with a smile.


"No Young Miss, there is nothing going on Saturday." Avery squealed with delight.


"Awesome! Send Jessica notice that we will be there." She said, handing the letter to Chin Ho. Chin Ho nodded


"Of corse Young Miss."


"Where is my cell phone?" She asked him.


"Right here Young Miss." He said, giving her the cell phone. Avery smiled and dilled the number for Leo's phone.

Leo groaned, he was still asleep in bed, Kyomi at his door trying to wake him up.


"Go away Kyomi!" He called out to her. Kyomi sighed


"Young Master Leo, Young Miss Avery is calling you!" Leo bolted from his bed and opened his door, snatching his phone from Kyomi and answering it.


"Hello?" He said into the phone.


"Morning sunshine! Did I wake you up?" Leo chuckled


"Kyomi has been trying to get me up for hours. You just made her job easier." Avery giggled.


"Tell her I say hello." Leo looked at Kyomi


"She says hi" He returned his attention to his conversation with Avery. The two proceeded to talk about Jessica's party and what each of them should wear.

Kenji entered Chun Hei's room and bowed politely


"Good Morning Young Miss. Are you ready for breakfast?" He asked

Bae walked through the Tahara Manor, holding a photo album of pictures and names of Young Miss Mika's closest friends and family. Plus colleagues that she would need to know the names of for the day. Once he reached her room, he knocked on her door.


"Young Miss Mika? Its your butler."

Lu Xun chuckled before he easily opened her door and closed it behind him, then he went ahead and pulled the curtains open to allow in some sunlight. " Young Miss, there is much planning to do for the party you wish to here on Saturday. The maids must know how you desire the venue, the chefs require the knowledge of what to cook and when to send it out, the gardeners would like the know what arrangements you would like ", he walked over to her closest and pulled out her comfortable clothes, having a feeling that she wouldn't desire to wear a dress at the moment, before placing it on a chair nearby. " Shall I continue? ", he asked her.

Tai was looking through the mail for Lu Chu while she quietly ate her meal. He always find an interest in the mail, finding it a bit intriguing and how much people type instead of writing. " Ah, Young Miss ", he called her attention, " There is a letter to you from the Torres manor about their party on Saturday ". Lu Chu paused and glanced at Tai, " What is our schedule for Saturday? ", she asked. Tai, mentally going through her calender, answered, " A family is coming with their son to speak of an arranged marriage, I shall reschedule that for another day ". He already knew what the quiet heiress was thinking, besides being close, he is a mind reader.

Lilly roughly yanked the silk covers off of the sleepy TingZhe. " Young Master! Wake up! ", she commanded, glaring darkly at him with her hands placed firmly on her hips. TingZhe grunted, glaring right back at her, " Why should I? You said so yourself that I have no plans for today ", he muttered. Sighing deeply, Lilly crossed her arms over her chest, " You may either get the hell up, you moron or I'll just call Miss Chun Hei and inform her that you don't wish to see her and go with her to the Torres party on Saturday ", she suggested with a smirk, causing TingZhe to instantly shoot up and rush to the bathroom to brush his teeth. ' Stupid demon... ', he thought to himself with a low growl.

Chun Hei looked at Kenji and smiled. " Yes, may you tell me what is for breakfast please? ", she asked as she stood up, taking one last glance at her painting before walking towards him. " Also, is it possible that you may come into contact with Zhang Pai's maid, Fang Hua? ", she asked. " I promised to give her something that I found earlier this week. A flower that she fancies, I believe that it's an orchid ".

Mika, intrigued, walked over to the door and opened it, a small crack at first, just enough to look at who her butler was. " Hello... ", she said as she slowly pulled the door open, looking up at Bae, the picture of the two of them still in her hands. " Your name...is it Bae? ", she asked, referring to the picture with a tiny, scarlet hue adorning his face as she shyly glanced up at him.

Jessica groaned and sat up in her bed. Her short pixie cut was a mess and she couldn't see a thing without her glasses on. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes.


"Fine..." She mumbled "But I'm not wearing anything fancy..." She got up out of bed and towards her bathroom to get ready. "I don't know what Peter and Ella are having for breakfast but I'll just have some yogurt and fruit. Im not that hungry." She said, walking into her bathroom and closing the door behind her.

Kenji nodded


"Of corse Young Miss. Today's breakfast consist of French styled crepes with your chose of sweet or savory filling. Along with a chose of Grape Juice, Apple Juice, Orange Juice, Coffee, Milk, or Chocolate Milk. As for Fang Hua I will see to it that you will be able to meet with her either today or tomorrow." He said

Bae nodded with a soft smile.


"Yes, I am Bae Honda, your butler. May I come in Young Miss?"

" Of course, Young Miss ", Lu Xun politely answered her, " Also, your clothes have been laid out on your chair. I chose a pair of jeans and t-shirt ". With that, he walked out of the bedroom door.


Chun Hei smiled before replying, " Thank you ", she said before giggling, " Or...would you prefer to see Fang Hua? ", she asked him in a teasing voice.


Mika shyly nodded and fully opened the door before walking to her bedroom desk and placed the picture there before looking back at Bae and smiling and glanced at the album in his arms. Her eyes lit up with excitement as she hurried over to him, " Is that for me to look at? ", she asked him, clinging to his arm with a bright smile on her face.

Once finished showering and all of that jazz, Jessica went to put on her cloths. She fixed her makeup before heading towards the dinning room, still wearing her pink fuzzy slippers.


Kenji blushed. "I see you know about my feelings for Fang Hua."


Bae walked in and closed the door behind him. Smiling down at Mika he nodded


"Yes Young Miss. It is a photo album of all of her closest friends and family. Along with some colleagues that you need to know the names of."

Lu Xun carefully placed down the cup of yogurt and plate of freshly cut fruits on the dining table before standing straight and ignoring the adoring glances he received from some of the maids.


Chun Hei giggled, " Yes, I find it quite adorable ", she mused.


Mika's eyes shined and she gracefully pulled him over to her bed and sat him down. " How intriguing ", she whispered with awe as she carefully pulled the album from Bae and looked through it, admiring the photos. Then, she looked up at Bae with a blush painting her cheeks but a smile still, " Can you help me please, Bae? ", she asked.

Jessica walked into the dinning room with a yawn. She sat down at her usual seat and began to eat.


"When will the Puerto Rican branch representatives be here today Lu Xun?" She asked between bites of yogurt and fruit.


Kenji rubbed the back of his neck.


"Shall I escort you to breakfast?" He asked, trying to stay professional.


Bae nodded with a smile


"Of corse, Young Miss." He said before he leaned over her shoulder and pointed to one of the pictures. "This is Min-Young Lilly. She is another one of your friends," He pointed to a picture of TingZhe "TingZhe's maid. She and you are close, like sisters." He said. He pointed out people in the photo album. He came upon a picture of the Torres family. "This is the Torres family. Unfortunately, Marcus and Anna Torres are both deceased. But their children Jessica, Elliot-Rose, and Peter now are the owners of the Torres Manor. Speaking of witch..." He said, pulling out a letter from one of his pockets. He handed it to Mika. "This is an invitation to a party Jessica Torres is holding. I would assume she's having many of her's and your other friends come as well."

" In three hours, Young Miss ", he informed her. Lu Xun never did understand the reason for meetings between people for business, it made no sense for him and he didn't really care much for it though, he just enjoyed catching a whiff of their souls, if he couldn't have their blood, why take the soul. " Shall I rally up the maids so that you may tell them how the house should appear for the party on Saturday? ", he asked.


Chun Hei smiled, " May you? ", she asked before grabbing a neatly wrapped orchid from her nightstand and began making her way out the door. " Also, please contact TingZhe and find out whether or not I should be expecting his visit ".


Lilly was already contacting the Eu Min manor, by order of TingZhe, who was now rushing to get ready to see Chun Hei. The poor boy's lovesick and Lilly would have slapped him upside the head, but still, she is his maid.


Mika's eyes seemed hesitant and she looked at Bae, " You will be going too right? ", she asked with a hopeful smile, ignoring the thumping of her heart and the blush on her cheeks. Shyly, she returned her attention to the album, " Never mind... ", she quietly whispered as she continued to look through the album, she paused and looked at Bae, noticing him smiling. " You have a wonderful smile ", she told him with a smile, she looked as innocent as a baby.

"Yes thank you." Jessica looked over at her sister and smiled. "You look pretty today Ella. I really like your dress." Elliot-Rose lightly blushed


"Thank you Jessica but please call me Elliot-Rose." Jessica rolled her eyes


"Oh please Ella I've been calling you Ella since you were born Im not going to change now." Elliot-Rose sighed. Jessica turned back to Lu Xun. "Do we have any mail?" She asked.


Kenji nodded


"Of corse Young Miss." He said. As he walked down the hallway, showing Chun Hei to the dinning room. A maid ran up to Kenji with a phone.


"Kenji, its Lord TingZhe's maid." Kenji took the phone from the maid.


"Thank you." He said to her before putting the phone to his ear. "Hello Lilly. What may I ask your calling for?" He asked, already knowing the answer.


Bae smiled and rested his hand on Mika's.


"Thank you Young Miss. And to answer you question, I go where you go. I not only act as your butler, but your guardian as well. I will never leave you side. If I did that, well what kind of a butler would I be?" He took Mika's hand and kissed it lightly, staring into her brown eyes with his red ones.

Lu Xun pulled the envelopes from behind his back and nodded, " A fair amount, Young Miss ", he answered her, " Letters from business partners, young bachelors asking for your hand, etc ", he named off each list without much care. He has never been one for typed letters, why couldn't they use scroll or write in neat cursive?


Lilly sighed deeply, " My pain of a Master wants me to tell you and Chun Hei that we will be arriving soon ", she told him. " I honestly cannot stand him sometimes...his soul better be worth it ", she muttered.


Mika blushed and shyly looked down at her lap with a small smile on her face before she pointed at a picture of her with Lu Chu. While Mika had a smile on her face, Lu Chu had a small grin, Tai was behind them with his usual serious expression, but a protective hand on both girls' shoulders. " And who are they? ", she asked Bae as she shyly entwined their fingers together.

Jessica groaned hearing about the young bachelors.


"Toss out the hopeless romantics and leave the letters from business partners for later when I have more free time. Are there any letters from family or friends?" She asked. Peter chuckled. Elliot-Rose looked over at Peter.


"What?" She asked. Peter shrugged with a smile


"Its always fun to watch Jessica's businessy serious side come out."


Kenji chuckled.


"I'll make sure to tell my Young Miss. Thanks Lilly." He said before hanging up. "Young Master TingZhe will be here shortly Young Miss." He said to Chun Hei.


Bae pointed to Lu Chu


"That is Lady Lu Chu, you met her at the orphanage I talked about earlier. And Tai is her butler." He said.

Lu Xun chuckled before continuing to look through the letters before nodding. " One from an aunt of yours in London who wishes to adopt you ", he told her when he found the letter. " How shall I reply to this letter, Young Miss? ", he asked her.


Chun Hei's eyes lit up with excitement. " Wonderful! ", she exclaimed as she clapped her hands together. " I can't wait to see him ", then she remember something and looked at Kenji with curious eyes, " Tell me, Kenji. Is there something going on between Lilly and Chin Ho? ", she asked him.


Nodding her head, Mika continued looking through the photos with a smile on her face. Suddenly, a maid walked in and smiled at her with her arms filled with letters. " Young Miss, I have come with the mail ", she said as Mika smiled back and stood up, walking over to the maid and collected the letters. " Thank you ", she replied before returning to her bed and laid the letters on the bed while the maid, who was gaining tears in her eyes, hurried out of the room to avoid crying in front of the Young Miss.


While looking through her mail, Mika found a bunch of letters drenched in cologne. Confused, she picked up one of the letters and opened it, carefully pulling out the parchment from within with curious eyes. " I, Lord Nikolai Vargas, wish to have your hand in holy matrimony... After placing the letter down, she opened another, " Prince Taiga Atsuo would like to invite you to his palace in Okinawa, Japan, to discuss the possibility of marriage... ". Her face scrunched up in the most adorable confused look ever as she read over the letter.

Jessica groaned.


"It's Titi Judy again isn't it?" She sighed. "Tell her I love her but we are perfectly capable of taking care of ourselves. Besides, we have you, Meroko, and Levi." She said. She took another bite of her food. Peter and Levi exchanged glances before Levi looked back forward and Peter returned to his food.


Kenji thought for a moment.


"Im not sure Young Miss.....They are both quite good and hiding their feelings."


Bae gave an exasperated sigh.


"Those are letters from suitors who wish for your hand in marriage. And they're purely after your fortune and you looks Young Miss. They have no interest in getting to know you." He said coldly. "Shall I dispose of them?"

Lu Xun nodded, owing politely. " Of course, Young Miss. I'll get to it right away ", he told her as he took one step back. He easily caught a maid who was about to fall with one hand while his free hand caught the tray that had fallen out of her grasps. He caught a whiff of her soul, however, did not find it delicious, still, he helped her up to her feet and handed her back the tray before returning to his spot next to Jessica.


Chun Hei nodded in agreement before smiling widely, " I must ask Lilly once she comes ", she said as she walked down the hall and towards the dining hall.


" Yes please, Bae ", she replied as she read through another letter with an amused expression. " Look, one even sent his picture in the letter ", Mika giggled as she showed Bae a picture of Prince Jasper Brownstone, a young English man who was looking seriously into the camera. " Prince Jasper Brownstone, he seems quite familiar and reminds me of you ", she said with a laugh, " But, I prefer being with you rather than him. You have kind eyes and you're much more attractive, both inside and out ". As she said this, another rose red blush dusted across her cheeks as she smiled at Bae.

Jessica giggled.


"Nice catch." She said to Lu Xun.


Kenji nodded. Upon coming to the dinning hall, Kenji opened the door for Chun Hei.


Bae smiled kindly at Mika.


"Thank you Young Miss." He took the letters and put them in one of his coat pockets. "Now, shall we walk to breakfast?" He asked, standing and holding out his arm for her to take.

" Thank you, Young Miss ", Lu Xun said with a polite bow before he waved over a maid and informed her to get the gardeners, planners, maids, and butlers together. He smiled at her, noticing that her soul smelled fairly tolerable, however, he had already had his fill earlier in the morning. Slightly smirking, he dismissed her and looked back at Jessica. " Shall I call anyone to invite them over, Young Miss? ", he asked.


With a smile of gratitude, Chun Hei walked into the dining hall and seated herself at the head of the table. " Is there any mail, Kenji? ", she asked him.


Smiling brightly, Mika stood up and told hold of his arm while in her other arm was the scrapbook which she would look through more later on.

Jessica thought for a moment. She smiled


"Call Samual and see if Krystal is free for the day. I would like her help with party planning. Also I could use a girls night." She giggled and continued to eat.


Kenji nodded


"Yes Young Miss." He said, a maid came over and handed Kenji the mail. He then handed it to Chun Hei. "Letters from suitors, business letters, bills, and a letter from the Torres Manor. Probably a letter about the party they are holding this Saturday. All of the people she grew up with and met at the orphanage were invited, they were also instructed to bring their" He paused "Personal help, so that they may also catch up and have a little...fun."


Bae smiled and lead her to the dinning hall.

" Of course, Young Miss. I'll get to it right away ", Lu Xun said before gracefully disappearing out of the dining room and towards one of the many house phones to make the call. He easily pressed the phone's buttons and listened to the dial tone. When the click on the other side sounded, he spoke up, " Hello, this is Lu Xun, Young Miss Jessica's butler. I would like to know who I am speaking to ".


Chun Hei rolled her eyes at the words suitors, didn't they figure out that she has someone whom she loves dearly already? " Leave the business letters in my office and hand the bills to Jennifer, she will handle them with ease. Clear my schedule for Saturday, as well please ", she said. As she finished, there was a knock on the door with the cheerful giggle of Fang Hua behind it.


Mika looked around the hall with glee, her eyes sparkling in excitement at the discovery of something new. The grip she had around Bae's arm only tightened as she became entranced with the silk and satin of luxurious living in the halls.

Samual gave a small chuckle


"Hello Lu Xun. This is Samual. What can I help you with?" He asked.


Kenji nodded


"And the letters from the suitors?" He asked, walking towards the door. He opened the door for whoever was giggling behind it.


Bae looked down at Mika and smiled gently.

" Young Miss Jessica would like to know if Miss Kyrstal has the time to come to the household ", Lu Xun said before quietly adding on, " Found any good souls lately? The souls here are barely even tolerable for my taste ".


" Burn them, will you please ", Chun Hei said as a maid brought out her meal.


Mika suddenly looked at Bae with a curious look. " Bae, the reason why I am not to marry a suitor, is it because I already have a supposed love one? ", she asked him.

Samual chuckled.


"There are a few." He whispered back. "But most are sour or bitter."


Kenji nodded


"Yes Young Miss." Kenji went to the front door and opened the door for their guests.


Bae's smile faded.


"No, Young Miss. I must confess." He said, stopping. "The reason why your not to be married to a suitor is because I'm a possessive, selfish, fool." He said.

" Ah, shame really. I'll contact Jung Hwa and Tai, perhaps they had more luck than we ", he tsked before asking, "Shall I be expecting you and Miss Krystal at the house later? ". In all honesty, he could care less who came, so lon as they weren't aiming to suck out Jessica's soul, that was his job.


" Hello, Kenji ", Fang Hua sang as she gracefully skipped in after Zhang Pai and muttered a quiet hello and walked into the grand hall. She paused to speak to Kenji, her eyes glimmering with excitement and a flash of pink, " Did you dream of me last night? ", she teased him, nudging him in the stomach before making the move to follow after Zhang Pai.


Blankly, Mika stared at him before nodding. " I see... ", she trailed off with a rosy red blush on her cheeks. " Bae, how often do I remember you? ", she asked him suddenly, " I am aware that I was in an accident which caused some sort of memory loss. But, I'm curious, how often do I remember you? ". Her hands flipped open to a page in the album, " For example, there are many pictures of me and this young boy, even as we grew up. Even some of me and him together while I was at the hospital. But, after a while, he just stops appearing in the pictures. I want to know who he is because there are many pictures of me and him, yet, I have only one of you and me which resides in a frame on my bedside table ".

"Yes. Young Miss Krystal and I will come round at about noon to one. We'll see you then?"


Kenji blushed with a chuckle. He easily caught up with the two. He leaned down to Fang Hua's ear before whispering sensually.


"I don't dream and tell.." He stood up and straight and walked in front of the two. "Allow me to show you to the dinning hall where Young Miss Chun Hei is having her breakfast." He said, guiding the two to the dinning hall.


Bae sighed


"Unfortunately I do not know who that boy is in those pictures Young Miss. I met you after you lost contact with him." That was a lie. Bae did know who that boy was, and all too well. But there was no way Mika could know about that. Not ever.
