"God damnit..Why did I try to make her remember.." He lays her on the bed in hopes that she will wake up later.

Eventually, the next morning, Serena began to come around. She opened her eyes a little.


"T-takao?" she whimpered, hopefully.

He had stayed up all night sitting by her bed, He had fallen asleep on the edge of her bed.

"Takao?" Serena kicked him off her bed, "TAKAO!" She wanted him to wake up and wake up now.

"Gah!" He falls and hits the ground with a hard thud, He stirs and gets to his feet holding his head. "Oww.."

"Takao?" Serena said, "Takao, I'm scared." She looked at him with big eyes, "I'm scared." She repeated, bursting into tears.

He grabs her and hugs her rubbing the back of her head. "its ok Serena..its ok.." He takes his hood off and breathes in the air around. "Im sorry.."

"It's your fault." Serena said, "You made me have bad dreams and thoughts inside my head." She cried onto him, probably soaking him but she didn't care. She clung to him tightly.

"I know and god i'm really sorry I did this to you.." He held her close.

"My head hurts." Serena winced and she stopped sobbing abruptly. She let go of Takao.


"Ugh." she wrinkled her nose, "I hugged Stupid Takao. Is stupidity catching? If so, I'm contaminated with it!" She rubbed her eyes.

He chuckles slightly. "I am a little stupid but still. We don't have to think about this anymore." He smiles and helps her try to stand up again.

"That's what you said last time." Serena sulked, "Before you put bad thoughts in my head." She pushed him away, "You're mean."

Takao Sighs and looks away in silence. He looks back at her with his hood off a tear can be seen in his eye. "I'm sorry.."

"Takao." Serena said, suddenly, "Oh. Takao." She just remembered, cheering up suddenly, "It's my birthday. Oh, my birthday!"

He smiles and hugs her. "Happy birthday Serena" He wishes he could find her a real gift.

"Yay!" Serena said, "I'm not sure how old that makes me but anyways, yay!" She hugged Takao back, forgetting everything.

"I believe you are 9 now..Considering ive been here for about 8 years and you were 1 when I got here." He smiles in happiness

"Nine!" Serena smiled, "Practically grown up now! Nearly as big as you, Takao!" She stood on tiptoes, proud of herself. She was the exact same size she'd always been.

He laughs and pat her on the head softly. "Only ten more years and you will be my age dear."

"Ten years is practically forever." Serena wrinkled her nose, "You're really old."

Takao shrugs and looks at her. "Yea i'll be 20 really soon too..jeez..it feels like ive been alive forever.."

"I'm never going to catch up, am I?" Serena said, before adding with a serious expression, "Unless I killed you." She glanced at where she kept her knives.

He looks down to her a notices her glancing at the knives. "Well one unfortunately no you won't even be the same age as me. And two you can't kill me."

"One day." Serena said, darkly, "One day." Then, she smiled up at him hopefully, "Did you get me a present?"

Takao reached to his pocket and felt the bracelet, but avoided giving it to her so he didn't hurt her brain more. He looked a bit confused. "Umm..I was actually going to find your gift now."
