The Game of Chess.. with Guns. (Sukakun and Chiarra)

Her stomach growled even more, smelling the pasta and she sighed. "Well, who said I want to talk to the likes of you?" she rolled her eyes and scooted the chair back and propped her feet up on the table, leaning back. After sitting like that for a few moments, she got bored and stood up then. She wasn't tied up, so she figured she had permission too, like she was going to ask for it in the first place. She doubted he'd let her leave the room though, but it was worth a shot. She headed for the door. She was just going to do some "exploring".

"Don't leave." He glances toward her. "If I got lax and allowed you out, and you escaped, then I really will be sleeping with the fishes. Besides, I don't think my friends are as nice as I am. Trust me. I'm not going to stop you from moving around. But the moment I lose contact with you, trust me, I will be coming after you."

To irk him, she opened the door before slamming it and then she went back to her chair. She glared at him as she sat back down. "I need to go to the bathroom," she lied. If anything, she was really just wanting to scope this place out more. She tapped her foot, waiting for a response.

Richard nods and he moves toward the door. "Alice? Princess needs to relieve herself."

A woman, with long white-ish hair and wearing shades even though she's obviously inside and wearing a suit as becomes a mobster, looks down at the girl. "Alright, Melody. On your feet. Let's get moving." So they weren't alone in here afterall. Either that, or this was predicted, and the Black Talons' Don sent a woman along with them to be sensitive to the issue. Though she was kidnapped, they were going out of their way to make sure she's cared for.

Meanwhile, the tall, lanky male gets off the phone. "I have an unconfirmed report that a couple men believed to be Black Talon men were leading a woman into a home, at the corner of 84th and Vine." He looks up toward his boss. "Shall we mobilize, or wait until this has substantiated?"

Alice? Who the crap was Alice? She saw a woman come in and frowned at her. "I'm perfectly capable of going by myself," she said getting up to follow the woman. She just really hoped that she wouldn't go in the bathroom with her. She would need to abide her time and find the perfect chance for escaping.

As tempted as James was to go barging in and take his daughter back, he needed to make absolutely sure that this was the place. He didn't want to get everyone there only to find out it's not the right place and they get wind of it and do something to his little girl. "We'll wait," he growled.

Though, Alice does indeed go in with her. "Forgive me." She murmurs as she leans her hip against the countertop of the bathroom. "We try not to be in the habit of being careless. That's why I was hired on to this job. Just to see after your.. needs. Because who knows what the men would do."

The lanky man nods slowly and he goes back to his phone, checking connections, trying to corroborate the story.

"At least face the other direction," she said. Man, this was a waste of time. "Actually," she continued. "I don't have to go anymore, so if we could just go..." and with that, she was heading to the door again. She would just figure out an escape plan later. That might be a bit hard with how careful they were being. She just hoped that her dad didn't do anything stupid until then.

Alice smirks softly when melody decides she doesn't need to go after all. She shrugs a little and follows the girl out. "Aha. So you were casing this place out after all. You're the Don's daughter after all. I'm sure plenty of people have tried to take you, or kill you. How does it feel? Do you wish you had a normal life with normal parents?"

She shrugged to the question about her parents. "Not really, no. If I did then I wouldn't be the person I am today," she said honestly. Though, she said nothing else on the matter. She wondered if the pasta was done and made her way back to the kitchen, since that was the only place she knew where it was at for now. She'd try and scope this place out again later tonight.

Alice returns with Melody and the woman chuckles. "You can have her back. I haven't had to go to the bathroom with another girl slice I was raising my daughter. I hope I don't have to do it again very often."

Richard is plating the food by this time, putting hr plate on the table with some grated Parmesan and red pepper flake shake dispensers, should she like her pasta with cheese and spice. "Thanks, Alice. Remind me to get the image out of my head sometime, would you?" He sits down across from Melody with his own plate. "What is your favorite food, anyway?"

She sighed and moved to go and sit back in her seat, ignoring Alice's last comment. It had made her blush somewhat, but she hadn't seen anything so it didn't matter. She took the Parmesan and poured a little on the pasta, but ignored the red pepper flakes sitting there. She didn't like spiciness. She grabbed her fork and carefully ate with both of her hands tied together. It was awkward, and she wound up making a mess, but she managed.

"You didn't answer my question." Remarked Richard as he leaned back to snag a stack of paper napkins off the countertop. "Are you so angry with me now that you won't talk to me? Not even a ' thank you for the food' or 'Thank you for treating me well even though I'm basically a hostage?'" He sighs and he shakes his head. "You know how it is, Princess. Second place isn't good enough for anyone. And this is all a giant game of chess. Endanger an important piece and see if your opponent does something stupid to give you the real upper hand."

She sighed and looked at him as he spoke. "Thank you for the food," she grumbled. "And I didn't answer because I'm trying to focus on not making a mess," she said. "But yes, I am mad at you. If you must know however, my favorite food is..." she gestured with her fork as to what she was eating. "Though...not your version of it," she said just to back off of being nice to him. She took another bite and swallowed before saying, "I also like Lasagna...without ricotta cheese."

He shrugs and smiles at her. "Oh? What's your favorite version? Chicken Alfredo?" He chuckles softly and he shrugs a shoulder. "Judging by you liking DeMazzia's, I figured Italian was your general favorite, though in the end.. Spaghetti was just a guess. Hmm. Lasagna.. Well, that takes a long time to make, but if you stay a while, I'll be sure to give it a try." He grins, and he winks at her before he starts cleanup.

She just rolls her eyes and continues to try to carefully eat and not make a mess. She was getting better at it, but that didn't change the fact her pants now had spaghetti on them. Now she was finished with her food and she leaned back, wondering how on earth she was going to get these pants clean. "So...what's your favorite food?"

Richard chuckles softly and he folds his arms over his chest as he watches her. *you know, you roll your eyes a lot. You must have a real strong rebellious and sarcastic streak." He fills the sink basin with hot water and begins doing dishes. "And about tonight. I hope you don't mind sharing a room with Alice. We'll see about undoing your hands. If you promise to behave."

"You don't say," she smirked at him. "And about behaving, I'm not promising anything," she said, though she would love to get these ropes off. Oh well, they were better in front of her than they were behind her...she would just have to wait until Alice was asleep before trying to escape again. "Can I leave this room yet?" she sighed heavily. "I'm bored."

Richard smirks back at her and he shrugs a shoulder, as he shakes the water off his hands. "Well, what do you want to do to entertain ourselves? Watch TV? Play board games? Listen to the radio?" He glances behind himself. "A heavy sigh and a roll of the eyes. Yeah. You're dramatic, aren't you?"

She rolled her eyes again just to annoy him and asked, "What's it to ya? And sure, we can play a board game. Ready to get your arse kicked?" she smirked. She liked saying that word, it was fun and different and certainly sounded better than the other word. "What games do you have anyways?"

Richard disappears away from the kitchen for a moment before he comes back with an armload of games. "Lets see here. We have Chess, checkers, Backgammon, Risk, Monopoly... Chutes and Ladders?? Candy Land?? Hey! Alice? Were you playing with your daughter over here sometime in the past or something?"

"Drop it, pretty boy!" The woman snapped back at him.

She listened to him list off the games he had and tried holding back a laugh about the kid games. "What...afraid of a little kid game?" she teased. "Hm...chess, don't know how to play. Checkers..meh. Backgammon, played it, just never understood it. Risk, takes too long, Monopoly not as long as risk and yeah, let's play it. Then, after I kick your butt at Monopoly, you are going to owe me a few cookies playing poker." She learned poker from the best, though she didn't like playing with money since that was hers to spend, so she bet cookies instead. Plus, who doesn't like cookies. "And if you don't have any cookies, then guess what chef," she smirked. "I am your "guest" after all," she said air quoting the guest part. "I say one batch should be enough...too bad you won't get any of them." She smirked again. "Or we can just skip monopoly and get straight to the poker."

Richard laughs and pulls Monopoly out of the stack. "Two player monopoly. That should be interesting. Or would you want Alice and Anderson to come in and play too?" He grins and he moves the rest of the stack into the closet, before returning to the table to start setting up the game. "Ah, you're a card shark, hm? Well, that should be fun too! I've taken a Texas Hold Em tournament or two." He grins at her.

((to be honest, I myself don't even know how to play poker lol. I've played maybe once or twice a long time ago.))

"Nope," she said. "Just us. Oh, and be ready to lose." Then she thought of something. "It would be pretty hard to play with my hands tied," she said holding her hands out to him. "Besides, it's not like I'm going to try anything with those two standing right outside the door," she said. "So has my dad, I can beat him, and trust me he doesn't let me win because when I play against him it's for money. He hates losing and he almost always does, to me anyways." She smirked at him. That was kind of a bluff, since they didn't bet a lot of money, but still.

Richard reaches out and he undoes the rope binds. Yeah, she didn't promise to behave. But everyone was still awake, so even if she tried to run, she'd be caught by the time she got to the door. "Hoooh? Well, it could be the fact that he's your father." He chuckles softly. "Alice? You let your daughter beat you, didn't you?"

Alice calls back. "Bring up my daughter again, chump, and I'll kick your ass!"

She raised an eyebrow up at that. "Yeah well, trust me, my father hates losing money to anyone. Even his little princess, you should see the fit he throws every time. And uh...what's up with you and Alice's daughter?" she asked. She was very curious as to why Alice kept reacting that way when she was brought up.
