{Anya Alighieri - Ignis Court: Sanctus Hights; Dining Hall}
Anya gave Incarose a bit of a surprised look as she heard the young phoenix's story. Damn, last night was full of incident. Were they connected, or was she getting paranoid? Well, whether it was or not, at least Incarose and Jari were alright.
"Concerned, but not shaken." Anya answered. "It's never good getting caught with your defenses down, especially when lives are lost. But for those of us still alive, we can do something."
The Ignis Healer glanced at the briefing going on. She should get in on it, but she was suppose to be helping Incarose with her fire. Whatever was concluded by this, she'd get the notes from Vincent.
"You did a good job keeping it in." Anya continued, turning her full attention back to Incarose. "Sometimes the bird likes the destruction too much. What did it feel like? An urge? Something directing you? A voice?"
{Gerik Lockford - Umbra Court: Vita River}
Gerik remained expressionless as Morpha made her escape. After a moment of recovery, the tentacles surged after Morpha. The spell knew her blood. The Umbral Maester eyed the clone coming closer, flicking a dark speck at it. Upon contact, the speck caused the clone to be frozen in space and begin to gently rise into the air. Not an effective spell against living beings, but magical simulacrums? That was another matter.
"Such a bloody waste." Gerik murmured to himself, having to admire Morpha's skill despite how astronomically short sighted she was.
He snapped his fingers, causing a series of sicking crunches as the clone was drawn into the dark speck. He left the clones to the others as he concentrated to keep up the tentacles' pursuit of Morpha.
{Valery - Vivifica Court: Vivifica Temple}
Valery was sling on her pack when Tiru said he would stay. She eyed him a moment, then nodded. It was perhaps for the best. Two would be less noticeable than three. Quinn's suggestion she stay caught Valery by surprise. Her jaw clinched, getting an "uh oh" reaction from her familiar. But after a moment, she relaxed. Quinn had a point. And as much as she wanted answers to her own personal mysteries, she had to put the court first. She signed quickly.
"Go in shadow, but keep the Light bright within." the familiar translated the blessing.
Shedding her pack, she walked up to join the Maestra and Richter.
<What would you have me do?> Valery signed to Aislinn.
