Fantasy The Euphorian Highschool for Empowereds

At the time, Yoichi was enjoying the peace. No one had been annoying him, and things were going pretty well. Unfortunately, he didn't get to train today, which meant for an even more rigorous training tomorrow... Really tough training. He usually punished himself for missing a scheduled workout by working even harder the next day. It helped with his discipline and work he put towards his goal. As he looked out of the window, he heard Nyn ask him how were they gonna get the burgers, he looked at her, and raised a brow, "I'm assuming you don't know what money is then. Here comes the waitress now, don't worry about anything other than telling her what it is you'd like to eat, and drink. I'll pay for you this time, but you're gonna have to find a way to get money. Maybe a part-time job?" He suggested to her, as the waitress made it to their table. She smiled at the two of them, and asked what it is they'll be having. Yoichi looked at Nyn, only to end up furrowing his brows in curiosity. She looked stressed, or scared. to get her attention, he placed a hand on her's, "Nyn, are you alright? The waitress was asking you what it is that you wanted..."
She was so focused in her thoughs she couldn't hear anything else. Trying to think of a logical way to explain what she just saw, perphaps not eating for long periods of time made her hallucinate. But if it wasn't that the case? If it really did happen, was the scythe alive? And more importantly, what did it want from her?
It felt like her very soul was haunted by it, and it would make sure she could never have a normal life.
She felt something on her hand, blinking a few times she saw the people eating burgers, some were looking back at her with their faces expressing discomfort. She then noticed Yoichi had his hand placed on hers, he seemed worried, Nyn looked at the waitress that was surely standing there for more than a minute now, remembering she had to order something she finally talked, somehow more relaxed. " Oh my bad, I d like a burger.. please." She then looked back at Yoichi, a few minutes ago he seemed like he was enjoying being with her so she didn't want to ruin it. " Im fine.. I just.. saw a dog that was about to be run over by a car, was I shocked that much?"

( Hey man Im so sorry I took ages to respond I've been very busy with school and life that I forgot to check on the website :closedeyescryingfrown:)

Yoichi had looked out the window after Nyn had made her order. The waitress smiled and told the two that their food would be there momentarily, she also placed a couple of glasses in front of them, before walking away. Yoichi furrowed his brow a bit, not seeing any dog he just looked back to Nyn and rubbed the back of his head. "Are you sure everything's okay? Not calling you crazy or anything, but I don't see a damn thing out there, and I'm no fool. I would have heard the tires screech before they hit the dog, trying to stop so they didn't hit it. If you want, you can fill me in on the situation, but I'll understand if you don't want to." He said, picking up his glass, "Also, follow me. We should get our drinks before the waitress comes back with our food." Yoichi waved the glass in his hand a bit before standing up from his seat.

(((( It's cool lol ))))

Little by little excitement grew into Nyn once she heard that the food was going to be ready soon, although she could still feel the pressure of the situation that happened few seconds ago.
She didn't expect him to see through her lie that easily, at this point she felt like lying about it wouldn't get her anywhere since he would probably find out again. " Well..you're right, there was never any dog there, what I did see was that damned scythe again laying outside, it was there for a brief moment and then it was gone. Maybe I saw it because I haven't ate anything for a long time, its not that big of a deal though so I think we should'nt worry about it."
She simply nodded at his suggestion and stood up aswell, picking up the glass.

Len continued narrowing his eyes at Alejandro; if he had been injured, then why even be on campus? It would've been better to simply go home and rest, or did humans do it differently? And Roman was his dad? With what Len had heard from Ayen about Roman he was a lightweight with his booze and got dragged off by women because of it. As for why Len was pinching his cheeks, well first off, he felt like it, second off, he could feel facial muscle movements this way, allowing Len to feel any sudden twitches or other giveaways that Ali was lying. Which, he didn't seem to be. "I'm doing this to ensure truthfulness. Which, it seems you told the truth anyway and were only put off by the pinching. Though now I have another question why didn't you just go..." Len was going to interrogate Ali, but his nose picked up on something so his lifted his chin and sniffed at Ali. Now, Len wasn't an expert sniffer by any means, but he had the basics down, so he knew the difference between male and female pheromones. And this guy, he had the scent of both. "Oh-ho-ho, nevermind what I was asking. You didn't go home because you were with someone, all night, right?" Asking that Len let go of Alejandro's cheeks and smirked up at him.

Alejandro looked at Len once more, not moving a muscle as he continued to pull on his face. It seemed like Len was evaluating him now, and honestly it was rather nerve racking. This guy seemed pretty cool at first, but things were getting awkward. Not that he was against it or anything. He'd take some stranger touching his face over anything that had happened to him recently. He couldn't catch a break. Once Len began to explain himself and the reason as to why he was doing what he was doing, Alejandro raised a brow out of curiosity. Maybe that did work... Maybe it didn't and Len just wanted to touch his face, but once he stopped, he was grateful... Until he lifted up his chin and... Sniffed him. Alejandro almost fell as he tried to make some distance between him and Len. Regaining his balance, he looked at him, preparing to speak, but just as he did, Len called him out for being with a girl... Or well smelling like it at least. It was the truth, and the fact that it was true caught him off guard, and he wasn't even able to respond properly. "A-Are you insane? I wasn't with anyone last night! I was in my dorm after my injury!" He shouted, before hearing how defensive he had become. There was no doubt about it. Alejandro had given himself up and he sighed, looking away, blushing a bit. "Damn it... S-So what if I was? It's not like we did anything... So don't go telling anyone. We're not supposed to be in the female dorms, and I don't want to get in any trouble... Alright?" He asked Len, hoping he'd understand the situation. "Besides, what does it even matter to you? You don't know me. Pretty sure you don't know her either."

Zero raises his eyebrows at the smile, was that the first time he'd actually seen it in the time he's known him? Ryft didn't do it often, that's for sure. It was a shame though, a smile really suited Ryft and it was much better than his constantly blank one. Not that anything was wrong with it, it just concerned Zero a bit that it seemed so natural to him. Zero was glad he accepted the invite, this would be a chance to learn more about his new friend. "Ah, where?.... Hmm, I know a pretty nice place not too far away and the food's good in my opinion. Isn't super expensive either and there's plenty of options" He offered, standing up from where he was seated. He tilted his head a bit as he looked Ryft over one last time. Even though Ryft expressed that he was going to be fine, he couldn't help but want to make sure one last time. He wasn't used to having friends that could recover quickly so he was always extra cautious. "Do you think you'll be fine to leave? Don't need an ice pack or anything before we go?"
RYFT-MK80

Ryft noticed that Zero raised his eyebrows, but he didn’t quite make the connection that it was because he smiled. He knew of course that he hadn’t really smiled around Zero very often, if at all, but he couldn’t help it. His emotions were slowly starting to come back. It was strange, normally this didn’t happen unless he had a Wielder. But Ryft wasn’t about to complain, it was kind of nice to genuinely feel at least a bit of happiness again. “That sounds like a great idea. You might have to lead the way, though.” Ryft said, before moving to stand up. As he did, he couldn’t help but grimace at the sudden bloom of pain from moving after a while of not moving. Ryft took a moment to recover before addressing Zero about if he needed anything before they left, and he responded with a shake of his head. “I think I’ll be okay. And if I need anything, you’ll be there with me so I think I’ll be fine. Shall we go?”

Violetta

The goddess had told herself she wouldn't get angry. This had been her fault, after all, so she didn't have the right to do anything but agree to what Kai was saying. But even still... her emotions were coming out anyways, and it was hard to keep them under control. Especially since she was in her human form, the volatile emotions were even more so. And because of this, anger that she was trying to ignore was bubbling to the surface. She had a feeling that if she let her anger show, it would only make the situation worse. But here it was anyways, and at this point Violetta couldn't stop it. Her own gaze hardened as he gave his defense. "Oh you could go farther could you? Tch, of course you won't, you have to keep up appearances as Mr. High and Mighty, and uphold your status as being better than everyone else. And is it really? You agreed to my selfish whim on being human for... what, exactly? To prove you could?" Violetta crossed her arms, exhaling a breath so that she didn't stumble over her words. If she was honest with herself, she was projecting a bit, since the same could literally be asked of her, but she wasn't about to let him get to that. "I mean really though, how often did I end up being forced to wait for you on days that you said you'd come home to spend time with me, only for you to bail last minute? Maybe I do have a bit of a trust issue that it might happen with not just me this time, but our kids? And yeah I did go get a job, because I knew that I would be able to consistently come back home to them, because I needed to make sure that our family was supported. A lot of our life is an unknown right now, so sorry for trying to make sure we're taken care of." She exhaled, her words dripping a little more venemously than she had intended. Well, too late to take it back now. Might as well keep going. "Yeah, maybe I did think you wouldn't understand, I don't know. You wouldn't know what it's like to have issues relating to people. You're not the one's whos spent millennia avoiding getting attached because no matter what I'll always outlive them every time! You wouldn't know what it's like to feel so disconnected and dissociated from everything literally all the time!" By the time she finished her words, her voice had raised to a yelling tone, and she had stepped toward Kai almost menacingly;
Kai didn't want the situation to get to this point. In the beginning he just wanted answers. He wanted to know why. But maybe this was good for them. In a way, it felt good. Relieving almost. There was a lot he wanted to get off of his chest, and apparently this was the way for him to get it off. Might as well, right? Seemed like that's what Violetta was doing. When she commented about him not wanting to go any farther than what he already was, he grit his teeth. Being told he was just trying to keep up appearances, he looked away from her. "You think I'd just blindly say yes because of something like that? If anything, you're making it seem like there was something I was trying to prove to you. I agreed to take on this human form because YOU suggested it. I wanted to do something fun like this with YOU. If anyone else suggested this idea to me, I wouldn't even think twice about it. No one in this world matters enough to me to the point where I would give up all my power just for them!" He said, explaining his reasoning for even doing this in the first place. "Appearances are literally the last thing on my mind. I can care less about how someone views me. But the fact that you think I feel like I'm above everyone is literal bullshit, Vio. Seriously." Kai then turned around again, facing her once more. There was not a single soul he wanted to prove himself to. Not anymore at least. He didn't have any family he wanted to prove wrong. All he had was Vio and the kids, and maybe a few friends. "Is it really a problem that I had to work overtime a couple of times in the past?! It's a JOB, Violetta. A job! I just do what I'm told, I'm sorry if I can't be home at the exact moment my day ends, but it's just the way things work. So once again, sorry." Kai had said, the last two lines being in a sarcastic tone. "If I could get an easier job, trust me, I would, but I can't. Being an Angel is the only thing I know, but I'd be damned if it kept me away from the kids. Now that they're here, I've been trying to give all the time I can. I'm not upset that you have a job, in fact I'm extremely happy that you do. So don't try and make it seem like I'm shitting on you about that, because I'm not!" Kai rubbed his chin, thinking a bit as Violetta gave her last argument. So she had the idea that maybe he wouldn't understand. Hell, maybe he wouldn't. But he'd at least like to know if something was on her mind. If something was bothering her. He was her fiance after all. Then telling him that she'd outlive everything... That was something he completely forgot about. He looked at Vio, the argument they just had being the last thing on his mind. Before he could even get a word out, he heard crying. Stopping almost immediately, he looked down the hall. Kai didn't say anything, and just walked out of the kitchen into the kid's room. Once he made it to their door, his eyes widened and he called out for Vio. "Vio! Get over here! Quick!"

Yoichi looked at his glass really quick, making sure there wasn't anything wrong with it, and that it was clean. As he did that, he also listened to what Nyn was telling him. Pursing his lips together, he thought about it. Maybe it could be from the lack of food, but he personally has never heard of anyone hallucinating from just not having food. But he didn't know everything, so he dismissed the thought. "Well, if it were the real scythe, that'd be a problem... Would it not?" He asked Nyn as he started walking towards the drinks. Upon making it there, Yoichi inspected the machine, looking through his choices before pressing a button to fill his cup. Seems he had just settled on water for now. "Also, being new to the school... Did you sign up for a dorm, or are you living off campus or something?"

When Makoto saw the fake Akane disappear, she looked around again quickly to try to catch her again. Then the wind started blowing which made her very confused before she heard Akane from behind and it was too late to react as her visor was thrown off. She jumped a little bit before facing Akane. She sighed and nodded, seeing that her guard wasn't secure enough. "Yeah... Understood." She said before putting the rifle away and looked at Akane. "So... Now what?"
Akane changed into her armored form, the one she was most comfortable. "Now we train. We're gonna need some food, water, and more firewood. This is a test on how well you're survival skills are, Makoto. I'm tasking you with finding those things. It was also be even better if you found herbs just in case we need to make medicine. This is the wild after all, not sure what kind of animal we'll run into. That brings up the possibility of being poisoned, are pretty badly injured, whether it be a broken bone or a deep cut. Now, I can heal such wounds and remove poison properties with my powers, but I want to try and use my powers as little as possible. This is to build you, not myself. Be careful, as some plants may look safe, but they aren't." She explained, smiling a little as she looked around their camp. "Cozy little place we have ourselves. Hmm, as for food, you can gather fish, or maybe some deer or something. I forbid you to use your powers too. I'll be listening for them, and if I hear you activate them, then you fail this test. And tomorrow's training will be tougher. Now, take this rifle, and get a move on. Don't want anything near by to travel too far away now, do we?"

Thomas was curious about Exilium's home planet, as Thomas knew his own world's history and it was that of conflict and war at every step of the way. Someone always wanted a bigger piece of the pie per se or wanted their piece back. Sometimes it was jealousy, other times love, hate, or glory. Humans always found a way to fight, even now there was war in some places in the world. They just happened to be sitting in a peaceful country for on other reason than dumb luck.

"From the perspective of someone with an earthling background, your planet sounds nice. Conflict and war are a normal thing here on earth, It's practically ingrained in each culture in its own way. But for the most part, if you say in crowds the troublemakers won't show face."

Thomas explained this situation here with a bit of ironic worry. Afterward, he took his tea to his mouth and unintentionally downed what was left because it was sweet. Yes, he loved sweets, perhaps he should go shopping for stuff to make his own. If he did it right then it would ultimately be cheaper for his day to day sweet tooth. Ah, but Big Green had asked a question. How to reach him if he needed assistance? Well, seeing as he's new on earth he probably doesn't have a phone or money to get a phone. If that's the case, magic means are the next best thing.

"Well, if that's what you want, then I could cast an enchantment on you or one of your personal items then pair it with an enchantment on an item of mine. Those two enhancements would allow for long distance communication. Would that work?"

Exilium took another sip of his water, soon finishing off the last bit. Placing the glass down on the table, he looked at Thomas and smiled a little. Nodding his head as he listened to what he was being told. Taking in as much as he could. Indeed his planet was nice. But they weren't too happy with Exilium himself. He was framed for something that had nothing to do with him, and the higher gods removed his deity like powers. Then banished him from his home planet. It was honestly upsetting, but he couldn't be mad at them. They knew not of what happened, but of what someone had told them.

"Yeah, my planet was a friendly one. Only time things around there would be serious is if someone from another world came and attempted to take our resources, or attack our people. Those things never happened though. And crime was almost never around. But the idea of staying in a crowd to keep the bad eggs in hiding doesn't sound too bad. Seems like every society has there ways to deal with them."

Exilium then raised a brow in curiosity. An enchantment that allowed for long range communication. He understood what Thomas was getting at here. And nodding his head in agreement, he put a hand on his headgear, placing it on the table.

"If you need to pick it up to enchant it, be rather careful. It's not as light as it looks. It's weighted gear. As for this enchantment, does it wear off after a certain amount of time or what?"

Nyn stared at her glass thinking about what she should do next once she tries out the burgers, training and reading are her top priorities at the moment but she didn't mind spending time with Yoichi for the rest of the day. Once he started talking she looked away from the glass and listened him. " Truthfully Im not sure.. If it wanted to harm me it would have done it long ago, still I do not trust it." She said while walking towards the machine, inspecting the interesting simbols closely she never though water had different flavours. She pressed one of the buttons, her choice was coke, looking at its distinctive black color she let out an "Oooh." in amazement. " Well when I was on the streets I used to sleep in the top of some tall trees. I totally forgot about signing up for a dorm though so I should do that once I go back to the school."

Yoichi turned around, looking at Nyn. He took a sip of his water as she told him that she was unsure, and that the scythe could have harmed her long ago if it wanted to. In his mind, maybe the scythe had a connection to Nyn that she couldn't remember. There seemed to be a great deal of her past she couldn't remember from just listening to the things she'd say. Either that, or she just wasn't from here. There was also the possibility of someone altering her memories, or even the scythe itself doing so. So many possibilities out there, yet only one was right. "I'll take you to sign up for one when we get back to the school... But you said used to. Do you stay in a home now?" He asked her as he started walking back to their table. "Also, later on, you should check the school's library. You're scythe doesn't sound like an normal object to me... In fact it sounds like it's alive. It may be a weapon lost in history. That's just me overthinking though, but if I were you, I wouldn't shy away from the idea of checking their. Sometimes those book surprises even me with the information they all hold."

She inspected her glass of coke pondering about its flavoue, then she took a small sip of it. It felt funny, as if sparkles were ocurring in her mouth, she liked it quite alot. " Will you? Thanks. As for where I live now, I found an abandoned building a few days ago, for my luck there was no one inside it so I use it for my own." She responded as she followed him to their table. The school's library? I doubt I can find something about the scythe in general, but since you're telling me its reliable I shall give it a try. But.. why do you think that weapon is alive? After all they don't eat or breathe right?".

As he closed in on the table, Yoichi took a quick glance out the window, checking to see if he'd see anything. He was starting to think that maybe the scythe was able to make itself visible to only Nyn, so he wouldn't be able to see it himself, but it was good to at least give it a check just to be sure. Taking his seat, he looked at Nyn and nodded, "Better than a abandoned building. Comes with the stuff you'll need to live a life, but I also suggest getting a job so you can buy your own food. Don't wanna live off of cafeteria food for your school life." Yoichi said, taking a drink of his water, placing the glass on the table right after. When asked why he thinks the staff might be alive, despite it not having to do basic things to survive such as eat or breathe, he rubbed a hand through his hair and sighed, "Many inanimate objects can have souls. The scythe might have one of its own, and as for feeding said soul, it can be possible that it feeds off of the lives it takes. You did say you blacked out and woke up to some horrific scene or something like that, right? I don't think the scythe shies away from using you to satisfy it's hunger."

At a bakery shop in the middle of a hot summer day, Zenya was working her full time job as a clerk and cake decorator. She found a sort of peace about decorating cakes. Especially the birthday, anniversary and valentine ones. Those were her favorite to decorate because when she would finish, it would look very lovely. She just got finished with decorating an anniversary cake for a couple's wedding anniversary. It was their 50th year anniversary and she knew the couple quite well since they would always visit the shop. She wanted to make it special to them so she made it as delicately as she could. She added part of some flowers in the cake, which of course was washed, because these flowers were present when they were married. She thought that it would be a good idea to put something of remembrance onto the cake. She was sure it would bring back some nostalgia to the couple. When she finished, she packed it in a small box and stuck it into the fridge where it will be picked up by one of their children a few hours from then. She got back to the cash register and the shop seemed peaceful. There wasn't a lot of customers. There was only the usual group of high school girls, who were now graduates, who sat at one of the tables playing card games and eating delicious pastry. Even Zenya's signature pastry sometimes. Zenya was pretty well known to the customers of the shop, mainly because of her unique appearance from all the other staff and how kind she can be. One of the girls asked if Zenya could play with them. They were playing speed and wanted to see if Zenya could beat their best player of the group. Zenya shrugged and agreed seeing there was nothing else to do. Besides, a game of speed would be pretty quick so she's not slacking off the entire time. "Alright, but just a few games." She said as she sat with them as her opponent shuffled the cards and deal them out. Zenya was confident that she'd win, in which she did the first game when the game started. Zenya looked up at her opponent only to see her smile. "Good game. It's been awhile since I've played with someone else." Zenya smiled back as she replied. "It must be refreshing. I heard your class graduated this year. Congratulations." The group smiled and thanked Zenya for congratulating them. They asked if Zenya had graduated too. Zenya only shook her head. "I graduated just last year. It was fast and I sort of miss it." Then one of the girls spoke to Zenya about how much she's changed since when she was first introduced to the world. "It still amazes me that the so called super weapon to hunt down other supernaturals during the civil war is sitting right here, playing with us and has been working here for awhile. You went from being so cold and hard to very kind and caring. I wonder what happened to you." This made Zenya giggle and when she leaned back in her chair, she explained while crossing one leg over the other. "Let's just say a certain family has shown me the kindness I've yearned for and a partner who really cares for me." The girls looked at Zenya in awe, amazed how just the small things can change a person entirely. "I wonder who's the man who helped change you~" Zenya shook her head. "She's a girl, not a man." This made the girls more interested. "Then I wonder who's on top then~" Zenya blushed and cleared her throat. "Y-You don't need to know that. That's getting too close to my personal life." The girls just giggled as they began to play another card game with Zenya since Zenya agreed to since there wasn't any customers at the time.

Nyn took a seat on her chair, she noticed Yoichi looking out the window briefly, probably to making sure the ghostly scythe isn't around. She too looked out the window, but nothing was out of the ordinary. Then she carefully listened to Yoichi. " I see, that alternative should be much better than my current one. Hmm but.. for you what kind of job should be appropiate for me? (( insert Mcdonalds joke here <---)) Because right now I don't know in which job I would fit the best.. not that I know much about jobs to begin with." Once he started talking about the scythe having a soul, she started to wonder if she even had one, or why out of everyone else it used her feed itself. And the mention of that horrific scene brough back some horrendous flashbacks of that night, it made her shiver, and it took her atleast a full minute to respond. " Yeah..that may be the case. Then I guess I should stay away from it as much as I can.. or even avoid holding it at all.. I really don't like being near it."

Yuki looked up and smiled. "I'll have the Strawberry lemonade too please." She said before nodding. She wanted to try it since Ansom recommended it, and she wondered what kind of food he would get. There wasn't much for her to do since now all they have to do is wait for their drinks. Unless Ansom wants to talk about something, which is probably a good thing to do to pass time.
As the waitress walked off, Ansom watched her the entire time. When she disappeared behind a corner, he turned back to face Yuki. "So, what have you been doing with yourself lately?" He asked, shrugging as he asked the generic icebreaker. The truth was, he found the engagement awkward. Not because of any ill feelings between the two, but simply because of the lack of interaction. It was odd sitting across from someone that Ansom felt as if he should have been with more, especially when that person had hated his guys at one point...and probably still did. He sighed softly a bit, folding his hands on the table and resting his head on top of them. "Any exciting escapades?"

Yuki smiled. Ansom came up with something and she didn't. She thought about what she had been up to. In reality, nothing really exciting or big or eventful. It was just S.S.D.D. Same shit, different day. "Well, just the same stuff I do everyday. Working to support the family and all, buying the kids' necessities. The only thing different is that I've agreed to help Neo with Mika sometimes, since Neo's work is chasing down criminals and getting money off of them and their bounties. Someone has to watch Mika while Neo's away. Mitsu is also busy with her studies as well. Besides that, nothing special." She said as she looped a strand of hair around her finger then pulling it out so the strand would hang again. She then began to trace a circle on the table, looking down at it slightly. "What about you, Dad? Surely, you've been up to something all this time... For some reason I'm used to calling you Dad already. It seems... Natural." She stated looking up at Ansom towards the end. It was weird after having so much beef with him that she found herself talking to him more casually. Like on a very open father-to-daughter relationship.

Yoichi gave her a thumbs up as he took a drink of his water, signifying that what she had said was correct. "It is. Definitely better, and a lot warmer during harsh winters and storms. As for what job you'd be good at, it all depends honestly. Some jobs would even take the liberty of training you themselves to make sure you'd be a adequate enough worker." He said, taking another drink of his water. Yoichi noticed the reaction Nyn had to this mention of the scythe, giving him the impression that even the slightest idea of the thing may bother her. It was understandable. Not everyone wakes up everyday after unknowingly killing a bunch of people. Nor are they accepted without questioning by someone after telling. As normal as he thought he was, Yoichi might just be another oddball for doing just that: accepting this person without question. "Well, that's a good idea... Ah, our food." Yoichi placed the glass on the table, as the waitress made her way over to the two of them, placing their food in front of them both. "Is there anything else you two would like?" She asked. Yoichi shook his head no, thanking her for his food right after. The waitress then looked to Nyn, awaiting her response to the question. "What about you miss? Anything else?"

Roman watched as Mal moved in closer to him, her hands meeting his as he stood there. He had no more words left on the matter of his past, and instead was trying more than anything to forget that he even just spoke in such detail about it. He'd rather haunt his dreams than it plague his mind during the day. If that was the case, being happy for his family would be a task that he couldn't complete. After all, his mind would be distracted by the terror he calls his past. Listening to Mal as she spoke, and wiped the last bit of the tears off of his face, he almost cracked a smile, but he couldn't. Roman was honestly sort of sad that she could relate, but knowing that they both come from tragic pasts is probably the reason they're so understanding of one another and the choices that they make.

As Mal finished speaking, telling Roman that she was going to be there for him, not only because she's his wife, but because she genuinely loves him, he nodded. Things fell silent for a moment. Mal had looked away from him, but he kept his eyes trained on her. Despite the conversation that just took place, he felt accepted. This was a first for him, as people who weren't apart of his past wouldn't understand, but Mal did. She wasn't there for any of it, yet she accepted him. She loved him and he loved her too. Mal started speaking again, and placing Roman's hand on her heart, telling him that she was happy that he had told her the entire story, and seeing as it was something that weighed heavy on him and that he was willing to tell her regardless of that meant a lot to her. Roman still had no words, and eventually looked out towards the distance before turning to face Mal again. "After all that I've been through, I've gained the fear of losing people, Mal. Losing friends, and family... And to this day that fear still remains..." He said, pausing for a moment, moving his hand from her heart and placing it around her, and soon his other arm was around her too, turning it into a hug. "I fear that I'll lose you too, and I don't want that. The kids, and everyone else. If I lost you, Mal... I don't know what I'd do, so please promise me you won't be going anywhere. Please..." Roman begged Mal, holding her in his arms. Mal was the first person he felt that truly understood him, and if he was to lose her, he wouldn't know what to do with himself. If he was to lose her or the kids... In a way, he needed them. They were his pillars, and he's already lost quite a few. Anymore pillars go, he may just collapse.
Mal didn't hesitate to wrap her arms around him in return, wanting to physically let him know she was there for him and be able to comfort him as much as possible. He'd been there for her when she needed it, and she was determined to do the same. He'd given her the family she never truly had, showed her more love then she ever thought was possible and she wouldn't trade it for anything. The day they met she couldn't have ever guessed that the man helping her up from the ground would be the man she married and the father of her children. Sometimes she'd try and relive the moment over and over again in her memories, and it never failed to make her smile. His confession had caused her to slightly tear up but she quickly blinked them away, instead tightening her arms around him. "I promise you that I'm not going anywhere. The only place I want to be is here with you and our family, I refuse to let anything change that. I promise." She stated, moving to rest her forehead against his to show him that she meant it. The thought of not being with Roman gave her a horrible feeling, she loved him more than words could describe. Without him she'd feel like a fish out of water. "I can't imagine not being with you, a life like that is a life I don't ever want to have. Being with you is all I could ever wish for and more."

"Of course." He responded with a firm nod when Ryft said he'd have to lead the way. From the way it sounded Ryft probably didn't know where it was he had in mind, so he wasn't going to pressure him into figuring out where it is Zero had in mind. He listened intently as Ryft started talking again before giving him a thumbs up and grinning, "You can count on me if you need anything for sure. And yeah, let's go" He headed to the door swiftly, holding it open for him. Once Ryft had left the room, he followed and shut the door behind them before walking ahead and taking the lead, heading in the direction of the nearest exit out of the school.

Yoichi gave her a thumbs up as he took a drink of his water, signifying that what she had said was correct. "It is. Definitely better, and a lot warmer during harsh winters and storms. Nyn paid close attention at his words since she though the information he was sharing was important. Once he mentioned the dorms it reminded her of how the inside of the houses were. Which she soon questioned how she knew that, sure, she did look at plenty of houses before heading to the school, but she never saw how they looked once inside it. That and the fact that she knew how to speak with others were proof that she was probably born on this planet, possibly on this country aswell. Either that or the language she speaks now was learnt through magic and she was born somewhere else which had very similar houses. She hoped she could get answers about it eventually. Suddenly she came back to her surroundings once he heard Yoichi speak. " Oh? Well that was quick." She then listened to the waitress question and simply replied " No thank you." Nyn analized her burger very closely, for her it looked like an alien from another dimension, she couldn't lay her eyes off it. " It looks amazing." She told him, not even looking at his direction.

Roman stood there, holding Mal in his arms still. Having not moved a muscle since he had started hugging her from the start. It was comforting. Especially after the weight he had just let off of himself. The only people who knew of that were alive from his past were his two friends; Masahi and Kaori. Them two being the only two people who knew his past. The only two people he could look to if it was haunting him, yet for most of his life they ended up gone. Now there was another who knew of his past. And she'd be there for him whenever he needs her. Roman could talk to Mal about this as much as he needed to, but he honestly felt like he was forgiving himself now. After all of these years, he was thinking clearly. The images of his friends losing their lives in front of him. All the people who had tormented him with their harsh words... It all sort of began to fade away. He must admit though, it was what made him as strong as he is today, but it also was what fed his rage and hatred for most people.

As Mal hugged him, her grip on him being tighter than his was on her. He was happy. She told him that she didn't want to be anywhere else. That she wanted to be with him and their family. There was no better place in his opinion. As she told him that, memories of them all laughing and smiling together began to play in his mind. Memories of Kaori and Masahi when they were younger. The better times of their lives back then. Roman soon let go of Mal, looking her in the eyes, smiling as he did so. "A life without me, huh? I don't even want to imagine what I'd be doing if I haven't met you. I'd probably be out there somewhere without a care in the world for myself, or for anyone else. Like I said, I had lost everything, but I've gained a new everything to take care of, and this time I won't make the same mistakes I did then." He said, his smile still remaining. "And I thank you for staying by my side. Even when you aren't physically with me, I know that there's someone I have to return to no matter what."

Yoichi couldn't help but wonder how Nyn even got by on the conditions she had been living in up until this point. Then again, he sort of came to the conclusion that she probably lost a lot of her memories, even the ones from her past. That means she could have had a good upbringing, but with the introduction of the scythe into her life, things could have gone south. After those thoughts rolled out of his mind, he found himself wondering why the hell he was playing detective, trying to figure out the mess someone else was in. he did offer his assistance to her though. Sighing lightly, he picked up his burger, taking a bite out of it before looking at Nyn. She was literally inspecting the thing from the looks of it. Once he swallowed he, used a napkin to wipe his mouth. When she said it looks amazing, he nodded in agreement, "It may look good, but it tastes even better. Might wanna eat so we aren't sitting her forever either. Pretty sure you wanna get some sleep or something. From what you've been through lately, a goodnight's rest wasn't anywhere in the picture." He said, taking another bite of his burger. Yoichi then used his free hand to dig in his pocket for something. "Hey Nyn, you do have money, right? You know, the stuff to buy food and clothes..."

Nyn was still hypnotized by the burger until she heard Yoichi saying that it would taste better than it looks, which to her it was imposible. " Wow.. I doubt that can be possible. Guess there's only one way to find out." She carefully picked up the burger with both hands as if it was a diamond, admiring it for one last time, she slowly opened her mouth and took a small bite out of it and swallowed. It was very tasty, it surpassed her expectations by a long shot, she couldn't resist taking another bite out of it. " Its..delicous, I never imagined it would be this good." As she continued eating she started to think about him mentioning that she should get some rest. Which to her surprise she didn't feel so tired anymore, maybe eating brough her back some energy or she was just enjoying her time spent with him. " Well, now that you mentioned it for some reason I don't feel as tired as I used to once I got out of the infirmary.. I don't even know what time it is." Once Yoichi mentioned money, she explored her jacket's pocket. There wasn't any, and since he asked her if she had Nyn though he probably didn't had enough money to pay for both. Suddenly something caught her eyes attention, in the long distance of the hall she saw a man on his seat eating peacefully, there were a few dollars that were in the pocket of his jeans. She though to herself that with her powers she could take the money, after all, she doesn't know whats good or bad, for her its what makes her feel good and what doesn't.
And so, with her telekinetic powers, she quickly lifted the few dollars off his pocket, they levitated under the tables and chairs so people won't freak out. Since it was a very small and light object to pick up she didn't struggle in using her power. The dollars then soon were under their table and levitated towards her hand that was in her pocket, then she got her hand out of it and picked up the 10 dollars that were right next to that hand. She placed them on their table. " I found this much, Is it enough to pay the burgers?". (Soz for the two messages Im on cell and I tapped save twice so it sent two times :-_-lines:)
