Fantasy The Euphorian Highschool for Empowereds

Kenai had paused in movement when she asked about his ears. He normally hid them from people in public he slowly spoke "Well...yeah. A tail too. I just uh...hide them." He admitted, smiling sheepishly as he smoothed his hair where they should be with his hand. He now looked straight at Asako, she was his best friend so he guessed he was fine about her seeing them, they weren't all that embarrassing or anything he just found it easier to hide them over the years. That and he was sure she'd find a way to force him to if she were really wanted to see, this was Asako after all. Clearing his throat a little, a pair of Canine ears popped up from his head almost immediately. "See?" He said as one twitched ever so slightly.

------------------

Ilaani frowned a little when he covered his eye up at first, stopping when he had removed his hand from his face. She hummed in agreement as they approached the seat he had picked out, thinking over his words and how different things could have been for the both of them if they had just met each other a little younger rather than in highschool. She smiled to herself at the thought honestly but caught herself realising she hadn't responded really. "I guess they would have been, would have been pretty cool, maybe I wouldn't have done so much dumb stuff then" she answered with a shrug and a bit of a laugh. "Well, I dunno, maybe so, I don't think kid me would have had a problem with your eye at all, I don't now and I don't think I would have then. Your parents probably wanted you to make friends too, scaring them wouldn't really help that. I had no one to reason with me about that kind of thing so yeah." She let another laugh "Stupid me I guess? I've learned since then. Obviously." She said now sitting down at her seat, leaning back a bit.
Asako's eyes immediately lit up when he confirmed he had them. She couldn't believe she didn't bother to think about it before, it wouldn't be that hard to put two and two together and ask. Before Asako could ask him if she could see he had read her mind and her words were immediately replaced with a squeal when he showed her them without her having to ask. "If you showed them more often I'm sure people wouldn't think you were so grumpy all the time and you'd be approachable~" She teased. The ears really did add some kind of adorableness to him, if that was even a thing. "I almost feel threatened, your ears might actually beat me being short in cuteness~"

-------------------

Allen laughed, "Scaring them would have felt nice, but I probably would have felt guilty after. You're right though, It certainly wouldn't have helped the friend situation." He said. "If we met as kids, it would have given me more time to annoy you~ I'd also know exactly how to bother you." He said jokingly. He listened to her talk as he sat down as well. "I don't think you could have scared me away, the only thing I consider scary is my mom when she's angry, it's like she's ready to bite your head off if you say one thing wrong." He said with a nod. "We all do dumb things as kids, so I don't think you were stupid for scaring them, I'm sure a lot of people would have done the same thing. I probably would have, if I wasn't so quiet and mopey back then."

Just as Levi was about to respond to her answer Seiko had once again tripped and fallen, this time onto her staff. He jumped forward a little but didn't make it in time to stop the girls fall. He shook his head at her apology and chuckled "It's fine. Seriously, why are you apologising to me, for? There's nothing to apologise for. I don't get it." he said, offering a hand to help her up if she needed it. Which was true, he didn't care if she was clumsy, it wasn't making him angry or anything nor did he see how it would so to him the apology wasn't really needed "So... Divination?" He asked after, referring to her previous answer. "That's like...telling the future right? But doing it properly and not the fake way carnival ladies with the weird faces do, right?" He asked, his voice sounding slightly unsure at the end of his sentence feeling maybe that was wrong, he assumed she'd correct him anyways, no big deal.

"I-I'm okay. I'm sorry for making you worry about my clumsiness." She bowed slowly scared to bump her head again. "I don't know what weird carnival ladies you're talking about." She said tilting her head confused. "I do tea leaf reading, Kokkuri and Matsuko." She said Matsuko peeking out of her backpack unknown to her. "I guess we can do mage training." She said as a suggestion rather than taking his fortune knowing she will screw up somehow.

The newly revealed ears had perked up higher, his expression showing slight surprise when squealed. Maybe showing the ears wasn't the best idea... He immediately shook his head with a small laugh when she mentioned the ears making him more approachable "That would be the opposite of what I'd want. I'm not bad with people and wishing to be able to communicate. I can talk, I just don't want them to approach me." He said with a shrug, Asako bring the main exception of course "As for beating you on cuteness I don't know about that"

Ilaani rolled her eyes and laughed at his response "Oh god, I don't even think you'd need the extra years, you're already good at it even with a years rest." She answered, shaking her head. She stared right at him as it to say 'are you sure about that?' She wondered if he knew how ridiculously flexible her body is or what kind of things she could shape-shift into while saying that, she was sure with her abilities she could have spooked any kid. In response to him talking about his mother, she couldn't really relate to that as such, but she felt if she said every time she couldn't relate to family problems she'd bring the moods of others down, she didn't want to make the conversation suddenly awkward so she just smiled lightly. Her smile had lowered a little more when he had mentioned being quiet and mopey. Sure she had seen him acting stressed or down in the past but most other times he was joking around with her, so it was kind of a sad thought to think he was at a stage where he was too upset to even mess around like he does with her now. "Well, I guess I would have had to knock the quiet and mopey out of you if I was around back then huh" she said wearing another smile "What counts as saying something wrong by the way, biting your head off sounds... less than nice" she joked.

"It's a really big f you if you were to refuse someone who is actually, stronger than you. Perhaps, bested you." She said as another door appeared. She stepped towards it before putting her hand on the door. It seemed normal, she was just waiting for Elliot.
Elliot smiled lightly "Ah, right. Should have guessed that one" he said now following after her. He looked behind him at the memory they were now exiting. He was guessing he was expecting something bad to happen but obviously this wasn't the door Seria had seemed so apprehensive about. Shrugging his shoulders he made his way to Seria's side, assuming she was ready for the next memory door.

Levi snickered when she gave him a confused look and asked about the carnival ladies "I meant humans that pretend to tell your future using a dumb ball" he explained "And you need to stop apologising so often. Seriously, If I don't want to ask if you were okay I wouldn't. Do you always apologise so much? Not everything is your fault." He said waving his hand as if dismissing her apology, he didn't need it. If he apologised for anything silly he did then he'd be constantly saying it. Maybe he just wasn't as nice as her. The light-hearted grin he was wearing faded a little when he saw the doll pop out of Seiko's bag in the corner of his eye. He tried to ignore it in case it wished to give him bad looks again, though he was sure she was only looking out because of her name being mentioned. "Mage training? I thought you wanted to do the fortune thing?" He said, tilting his head. "We can do whichever you prefer though. I mean I'm not a mage but I know stuff from my sister's so it won't be confusing for me or anything" he said putting a hand to his chin on thought.

"Eh? Crystal ball? Don't they use snow globes and just make it up?" She asked. "I'm just scared I'll cause you trouble with my clumsiness. I don't think I apologise so much." She shrugged and walked outside. "I'm just afraid of screwing up the fortune and putting you in harm's way." She said.

Levi narrowed his eyes ever so slightly as if to say 'you kind of do' but didn't comment further. Maybe she didn't and he just wasn't used to being apologised to? He didn't really feel like thinking too hard on it, it wasn't all that important he guessed "Well you haven't caused me any trouble...and Yeah, snow globe, crystal ball, whichever they want to use, either way they make it up." He commented smiling a little at her before shrugging as well and following Seiko outside. "Put me in harm's way by telling my fortune wrong?" He asked with a slightly raised brow "How can a wrong fortune hurt me?" He asked not really knowing what she meant by it.

"If we summon the wrong spirit, you may be possessed." She said as a warning. "If you are willing to accept this risk, we shall tell your fortune." She said presenting him with a sheet of paper ready to summon Kokkuri-san. Matsuko watched them. "Do you have a coin?" She asked clearly forgetting. She was determined to prove herself a capable mage.

Levi blinked, now staring at her as she explained the risks "Oh. Wow..." He said looking from Seiko to the sheet she was showing him. Clearing his throat a little he nodded, despite his slight apprehension he accepted. She already had the paper out now and he didn't want to disappoint not to mention he had a burning curiosity to find out how real fortune telling worked. He fumbled in his pocket for a coin when she asked, handing it over to her. "Now what?" He asked curiously as he watched what she was doing.

"Alright, put your index finger on the coin." She said placing her finger on it and placing the coin on the gate. "Kokkuri-san, Kokkuri-san, we summon you, if you're here please move this coin." She said and the coin began to move in a circular motion. "Alright, ask it a question." She said

Levi had since been staring at the coin only stopping when Seiko instructed him to ask a question "Oh, right. Uh... Will my day be good tomorrow?" He asked his voice sounding a but unsure about if that was a good enough question to start off with. He didn't want to be too ambitious with his questions to since he didn't know if he could ask proper questions or just simple yes or no ones. "What kind of questions do you normally ask at these things?" He asked as he furrowed his brows trying to find another question to ask after this one was answered.

The coin moved to yes and Seiko seemed very happy it works. "Kokkuri-san Kokkuri-san, Who likes me?" She asked and the coin moved to spell "Sachiko." Which was her sister. "Well you can't argue with that." She smiled. "You can ask it anything about the future." She said to Levi as the coin began to move in a circle as if it was idle.

A tall armored man slammed into the ground hard. As the dust cleared he looked up at the two and tilted his head as if confused. "Hmm, weird creatures none like the other" he says getting up.

Shrugging his shoulders he made his way to Seria's side, assuming she was ready for the next memory door.
Opening the door, they then viewed a more older and mature Seria. It seemed as if she was getting the hang of things, especially with her team. Her team had five people, including herself. With her was a lancer with blue hair, an armored knight with green hair, the recruiter, and a woman with short blonde hair who seemed to be a mage with a rapier. She seemed to be close with the one with the lancer, and hated the knight. The woman seemed to be a friend and the recruiter, just a stubborn old man. At the moment, Seria and Elliot were watching right next to them. But they seemed to be invisible to the memory. The squad was moving through a cold snowy plain with few trees and some mountains. They were also headed towards what seemed to be an ice castle. If you looked up, there was the beautiful auroras that lit up above them.
"Hey Seria look, the aurora!" The lancer said looking up at the sky, smiling. Seria just sighed before looking up as well, just maybe to follow what the lancer said, maybe just to have a quick conversation with him. "I know Karl, I can see it. It's been lit ever since we got here." "Haha jeez, hard as stone even during work? You're way different here than at home." "Ugh, we don't have time for this, we have to focus on the mission!" "Sheesh, still trying to show the old man you can best him? I think you bested him enough. Besides, the mission is not until we get to the castle. And it's only a meeting with the Goddess Fuyumi. Seeing too many banshees around here." "Yeah... You think if we tell her, the banshees will disappear?" "Maybe not disappear but, maybe stay away from the village peoples' homes." "I suppose so... Say, you wanna grab a bite after this?" "Alright. Are you going to cook at your place again?" "Yup. Just the... Two of us. Okay?" "Haha, alright." The two looked at each other and smiled before they kept towards the castle. Seria at the time, seemed to be interested into this lancer, Karl. Maybe she had a crush on him and was trying to impress him.

--Achilles the Ardent--

The spear flashed right before his eyes, as the training puppet danced as it was made to. He brought his shield arm down and broke the toy's spear as he decapitated it in the up stroke. Piles of puppets lay about the warrior boy as he was panting like a street dog in a heat wave. He was working out his feelings as the fight with Kanon's brother proved he was just not strong enough on his own to fight on her behalf. He could almost taste the thick air around them. He was lost in thought when the magical axe bit into his thigh. The teachers at the school made the training weapons non lethal, but the students would feel the pain of the lesson. The lesson being, KEEP YOUR MIND ON THE FIGHT. He pivoted on his working leg and his leather war skirt twirled with him. He faced down a large minotaur looking doll. It was keen on ending his student career, but Achilles had faced bigger. Charging was out of the question as his leg was out of commission until he left the training ring proper, so he had to bear the full frontal assault of the toy.

He had seen and courted many women, but Kanon was the most unique and precious to him. No woman in his day was like her, well maybe the queen of the Amazons, but then again, she rarely took lovers before Hercules split her in half in more ways than one. The naughty thought made him jeer at the large puppet before it lunged to gouge him on its horns. He waited until it was nearly too late, before grabbing the horns and riding them upwards as the puppet wanted to fling him off. He could only stab the toy a few times in the neck, before its huge fist knocked him into the pile of broken puppets. His breathing was labored, and he could barely stand as the puppet planted its foot on his chest and then the green light changed to red, and the giant puppet fell apart. He was defeated. Again. This loss was brutal, as his emotions were not cold edged as he used to keep them. That woman, that annoyingly beautiful, infuriatingly headstrong woman was going to be the second death of him. The magics of the ring revived him, but it still left him sore as he gathered his weapons and headed to the showers.

Once in the shower he cursed himself. He had to be the best. It was in his blood, and one cannot go against blood. He wanted to be there for her. He could not stand that she just vanished wordlessly. The two lions, for once nodded in agreement inside of his head. He finished bathing and put his armor in his locker. He dressed in his street clothes and a long cloak. He skipped going back to his room, and taking the money he stored in his locker, decided to go out on the town. Despite not having fully explored the city, he wanted to just think.

Levi smiled when it moved to yes after he spoke. "Hah, cool." He said after, now watching it answer Seikos question, tilting his head a little, he obviously didn't know who Sachiko was but seeing Seiko's reaction he guessed the spirits answer seemed to be pretty believable. He narrowed his eyes in thought after she said to ask it anything about the future. Now that he was given the decision, he didn't know what to even ask it. He could ask it the kind of things most people would, like who liked him, will he ever get married etc but he wasn't really interested in that or at least he didn't think he was "What kind of stuff do you normally ask this Kokkuri about?" he asked Seiko, tilting his head "Stuff like, will I be successful in life? That kind of thing?"

"Yeah, you ask about your future. Though some people may not be happy with the answer." She smiled. "Kokkuri-san Kokkuri-san, Will I ever get married?" She asked and it moved to "Yes" causing her to blush. "How about you ask him something." She said as the coin moved back to idle. She was eager to ask who she will marry though sometimes Kokkuri-san lies as he is known as a trickster spirit.

Stepping into this new memory the first thing Elliot did was check if he was a participant in it like the previous one, doing so by waving his hand through a branch, seeing that his hand was going through it and not effecting it he nodded to himself and proceeded to watch the memory play out now that he knew he didn't have to be part of it. He returned his hands to his pockets, watching the now older Seria talking to the blue haired male and asking him to join her for a meal. It seemed like it was a date she was asking the guy on or something like that, Elliot wasn't all that sure so he didn't really comment on it, instead glancing to Seria to see her reaction to the memory.

Celaena

It felt like her heart had skipped a beat. That time had stopped and there was nothing in the world but the two of them on this street looking at each other for what felt like the first time. It was almost hard to breathe, like existing in this moment felt impossible, yet here they were, the two star-crossed lovers seemed destined to never be together. It was hard to believe that he was right there in front of her. Gods he looked just the same, the same beautiful face and kind eyes. In contrast, Celaena looked completely different - her time having been poisoned by iron and being in stasis in the crystal had drained her hair of any color it may have had before and turned her eyes the color of light-stricken amethysts, a far cry from the spring-and-fall leaves they used to be. He was just the same as she remembered, a part of her wondered if he thought the same of her.

But the funniest part of all of it was the irony of the situation. Of all the ways that they could have reunited, it had to be by accident on some street that both of them would have found strange and unfamiliar. Ayen had spent so many years looking for a way to save her, and yet here she was standing right in front of him. Conversely, Celaena had left fae once waking up, following any traces she could find of her beloved, leading her to this strange and unknown world. Apparently leading her to this very spot where her eyes would meet his, like it was all those years ago. What a cruel and humorous figure Fate must be.

There was a part of Celaena that still harbored some doubt that it really was Ayen in front of her. Perhaps it was from disbelief at her own position. She was at the brink of death and pregnant when she was sealed in the crystal. Never would she have guessed that she'd end up alive one day, for what seemed like no reason. So it almost felt unreal to be breathing and conscious at all. And seeing this person in front of her, maybe it was someone who looked a lot like her Ayen. This was a strange world after all, filled with unknown things and people. It wouldn't be unheard of to come across someone or something that just happened to share his resemblence. But it was his voice that sold the reality of the situation. It was the same voice that spoke her name all those years ago, the voice that kept her safe and sane through all the difficulties of their youth. The voice of the man that she fell in love with. The voice of the man who was her other half. The voice of her Ayen.

"My Ayen...!" Celaena spoke through tears that had formed in her eyes without noticing. Seeing him and realizing that it was really him dug up a well of emotions long since forgotten, and before she knew what she was doing she felt her legs running her toward him. Kana spun in the air from the surprise motion, before settling and watching the scene unfold. A smile fell upon her face as she watched her fae run toward her heart, just as she was his.

Tobi Naefaerne Tobi Naefaerne
Ayen

All his senses said embrace her, but Ayen had been tricked before. All the emotions interupted by that voice in the back of his head, making a mocking scoff while briefly flooding his mind with images of time he was fooled. Ayen wanted she to be real so bad he could taste it, but before he could celebrate, embrace, or cherish he had to know she wasn't a fake. The color difference could be an oversight, or due to the iron. Though a smile remained on his face, Ayen's eyes became almost analytical. At the same his arms came forward and grasped Celaena's shoulders, stopping her in her tracks. While looking over her, Ayen's mouth opened and shut several times as he tried to find the right questions

Of course, a scene is a scene, and scenes draw the attention of unwanted onlookers. Seeing as blowing them away wasn't a valid option in case his suspicions were misplaced, Ayen had to settle for the next best thing. As such Ayen made a circular barrier of wind currents around him and Celaena before causing it, and the two Fae by extension, to rise into the air, reaching the clouds before long. Would it seem odd to her, if she's the real deal, for him to have such control? Ayen never needed it, thus never learned it during his youth in the Fae, the most being nature responding to his emotions back them. The crystal that bound her in that moment for so long being one such response. Then, the question he needed popped into his head.

"If it was a girl, what were we going to name it?" Maybe it was too out of the blue, but Ayen wanted to make sure. Even so, the words rolled off his tongue like a silk coated plea, as if he was asking her to be real. No, beyound even that, his eyes were weary, his smile wavered, above all, Ayen needed her to be real.

Seria didn't really respond, she just sort of blushed. She then looked at Elliot before giving him a sort of look the was a bit ticked off. "W-What?" Soon, Elliot could hear the other Seria shouting. It seemed there was a time skip in the memory as if whatever happened in the castle was unimportant. However, there was a few dead rogue banshees behind the squad as they left the ice castle about a few miles off and was returning home. She was shouting at the green haired male, Lugina, who might be asking her out in the worst way possible. "Hey! Where do you think you are touching?!" "Oh come on, Seria. You should be grateful I saved you from that banshee, eh? Can I get the thanks I deserve?" "Ugh, I could've handled her easily. You're just lucky I still had enough strength to stop my sword from whipping your back!" "Aw, so you do care about my well-being." "As if! If I were to injure you, I would've gotten punished for inflicting damage to my team mate and wasting the strength to drag your ass out of the snow. For all I care, the banshees can attack right now and I wouldn't mind if they took you, you sick bastard!" "Well, if that happens, yours truly will defend such a weakling like yourself to such a horrible fate. You're not even wearing a lot of armor. But I like it that way." Seria growled before she hit Lugina's face with the hilt of her sword. Lugina grunted before he let out a forced chuckle and lied after. "That was weak." Karl, who was watching laughed as Seria walked to his side. "Seria, what did I tell you? Play nice~" "Ugh, but he's such a perv! Instead of focusing on the mission, he's been staring at my ass the entire time." The blonde woman, Paris, sighed before she voiced her opinion. "Let's just get back home. I don't think any of us would like to freeze out here while there are still some rogue banshees flying around. The Goddess said they were beyond her control. So something else is making them act the way they are." The old man recruiter, Talon, groaned. "You're right Paris. Damn, I think I am getting too old for this shit."

He noticed Seria's cheeks colouring slightly in response to the memory when he looked over at her. His glance in her direction was brief, or at least he thought it was. Either way her eyes had caught his and she was not happy it seemed. Catching her pissed off expression and tone Elliot immediately averted his gaze from her and straightened his posture "N-Nothing" he muttered as he turned his attention to the memory instead. He watched the green haired guy with slightly narrowed eyes. In Elliot's opinion the guy seemed like an ass, that was clearly obvious by how he was attempting to flirt or ask her out or whatever he seemed to be attempting. He wondered if this conversation was the point of this memory or the weird banshee's which he had been half watching too.

((Short post just to get things rolling. We should get them to the forest xD))

Celaena wasn’t sure what to expect from her just running toward him. Would he just embrace her? Push her away? Things were never that black and white, but her feet were not being controlled by logic at the moment. Of course she wanted Ayen to just embrace her, but she had a feeling deep down that he wouldn’t believe it was her outright. How could he? She had been essentially “dead” for hundreds of years, and she looked different and wasn’t pregnant. Feeling his hands grasp her arms to stop her made complete and total sense, as much as it sucked.

She could see that there was something on his mind, and before she could try and figure it out the two were lifted in the air. Her eyes darted from the air currents to the rapidly retreating ground below them back to Ayen, wondering when he would have learned this. But, of course, it had been many years since they fell in love during their youths, it made sense he would have learned some things in their time apart. It was as she was once again studying the complex expression on his face that he dropped the question. Ah. Their child. Celaena subconsciously brought her hands to her stomach, feeling the lack of a bump. They both wished for a girl, though neither was able to find out before everything fell apart in their lives. Without further hesitation, Celaena spoke aloud, trying not to let her voice break.

“Alenia.”

The memory hadn't changed its time or location yet. As it went, Seria held her head and groaned. Karl took note of it and questioned if she was alright. "Hey, you alright? You seem a bit off. lately. Is Lugina pushing too hard?" Seria shook her head. "It's not that. It's... Something else. I feel a dark energy source, but it's coming from... Somewhere. I can't pin point it right now, but my head sort of hurts." Lugina caught up to Karl and Seria and looked at her, his smirk disappearing quickly with a concerned look."I don't think it has anything to do with the banshees. And I feel that dark source too. But no matter how I look at it, it seems to be coming from your direction." "As much as I don't want to believe it, I'm starting to agree with Lugina. We should take you to a shaman later maybe." Seria nodded. "Yeah... It's getting worse than before..." "Well, let's hurry. It's bad enough we're still out here with these banshees. We don't need any kind of hindrance as we get there." Soon, Seria let her hand down before picking up her head and looking forward. "I-I'm fine now. I just hope it doesn't come back so quickly..."

((Fine by me, I just try to match length XD))

Ayen's face softened a little at the name of their would be child. If it was really her, his Celaena, then there was the possibility of trying again, but it would feel almost wrong, like trying to replace them. If only he could've stopped the iron. But that wasn't the issue right now, rather, he should get them out of the air-space of the city given there was an airport somewhere around there and the humans could be stingy about their air traffic laws. "Let's continue this somewhere easier to breath. In the meantime, when did I tell you, about my feelings that is?"

As Ayen spoke, trying to fill more gaps and confirm that Celaena was, in fact, the real deal, he had spun them in the air so his back was to his current home before leaning backwards and sending them in motion towards his home in the forest. In hindsight, for having kids going to school, it was a bit far in, but it's not like the exercise was bad for them either. Ayen's thoughts were stopped when he noticed Celaena's actions, they weren't intentional from the looks of things, which made his heart ping with sadness as she held her now flat stomach. And all though he looked for words to comfort her, Ayen couldn't find any by the time they were over top the forest.

Lumina

Lumina was probably out for another few minutes after Luxe had found her. Her mind was still reeling from whatever the hell happened to it when she touched his necklace. So many different images of different things that the Phoenix knew she had never seen or done, but felt completely familiar. So apparently it just needed a moment of respite. But it didn't last long as suddenly Lumina was being shaken awake, and her eyes opened to see the red-haired boy from before. Without even missing a beat, she spoke aloud, almost going on autopilot for a moment.

"...Luxe...?"

The Phoenix blinked, not really registering the fact that she somehow, despite never having met this boy before, knew his name. The confusion showed on her face as the word left her mouth, the memories still not having sunk in yet, as they were still only flashes. However, almost as soon as her words were done, another painful wave of memory flashes surged through her head, and she grabbed at it, crying out curling into herself and subconsciously leaning into the grasp that Luxe had on her. These flashes seemed to all be similar in the fact that they all contained Luxe within them. Lumina still didn't understand what they meant, she was more concerned that this was happening at all and that Kenji wasn't here. The pain seemed to be enough to make the Phoenix succumb to it once more, and the Phoenix went limp in her brothers arms.

...ΨKenji continued to speed towards the school, in hopes of reaching his pair before any more harm had come to her. His damaged body prevented him from going his full speed, and so he was forced to fly as fast as he could manage, while also dealing with the pain that was emitting from his Pair bond with Lumina and how own battle damage. The pain came in waves, first the battle damage taking it's toll, and then the pair bond, resulting in no rest for the prince. The battle damage was manageable, however the pair bond's pain occasionally made his altitude drop, which in turn caused him to elevate, decreasing his speed due to drag. His desperation quickly turned to anger, and his speed gradually began to increase, bypassing what his body could manage and shooting him off with a sonic boom and a crater being left in his wake on the ground. He rapidly approached the school with his newfound speed, and just as he thought he'd make it, another more focused wave of pain emitted from the pair link and with that his damaged body gave out. He spoke through clenched teeth as his eyes closed and he fell from the air, impacting within the nearby forest and leaving a large crater, with his body in the centreΨ...

D-dammit..

...ΨAs Kenji's body lay unconscious within the crater in the forest, his mind was most certainly active. Kenji quickly found himself within the Throne World, or what appeared to be an illusion of it constructed from his mind. All he remembered was feeling a large dosage of pain, and then nothing. He sat up within the Throne World and saw the man who had been training him during his time there sitting by a campfire, roasting what appeared to be Syfens, a Euphorian delicacy. He looked around and quickly recognised the area, and with a saddened expression he looked down to the ground. Kenji had most certainly had dreams like that during his time in the Throne World, dreams where he believed to have been back on Earth, but this time it was different, as if he'd actually been there. It didn't take long for Kenji to accept his position, it was his own fault he was gone, anyway. To be tortured by his own dreams was maddening, but he was unable to change it, only transfer his anger into his training. He was broken now, shattered really, robbed early of the tape and glue necessary to put his life back together, his pair. His heart, poorly stapled shut, was beating hard but with one purpose, his skin stretched across his aching muscles like a worn canvas. His mind was like a lost man at sea, desperate and starving for some reason to live. Desperate for a memory, good, warm, welcoming, one he could smile to. He spoke as he went back to his training, disregarding the food his friend had offered, and transferring his anger into punches and blasts once more. An illusion is a powerful thing, especially to a man not knowing he was being trickedΨ...

Don't worry, I will return to you, my love..
