The Discovery of Heirs -(OOC/Sign up)

Actually, you should reconsider anything small think about it. I mean the story needs a means to propel forward and being in a small town will require lots of traveling, a special school for the gifted and extremely skilled in a large city would do the trick, also it should be noted that no amount of money should be able to buy you entrance.
Absolutely Lucem.

I'm fine with that, especially since European style towns tend to be more densely populated. I actually really love Berlin, and having it take place there would be interesting.

Hmm, well typically warriors end up getting used by wizards or enchanters due to magic. But since Lucem, from what I got from the profile, had a Wizard stone implanted in him, he would be less susceptible to such treatment. If Guise is a warrior, the same might go for him, though.
And I don't want this to get too complicated though, just let the story flow, you know?

I would prefer not to zap the fun out of it by getting too technical. ^^

I'm fine with mostly anything if it makes the story better, but I'm confused on how the subordinate thing would play out. Lucem is a solitary person and avoids contact with people, so I can't really see him as a subordinate. But, I would like to hear how you think he could end up falling under somebody.

I personally wouldn't make you play a subordinate role, since I view any character we make as a protagonist. If we want subordinate characters, it would be better if we used NCPs, as I don't think it would be fun to play such and character. . .

Plus, I agree that Lucem doesn't seem like the type.

Hersh Lynn Lucerne, he's going to be my farther {though not by birth} and my wizard. Our relationship will be of mutual agreement and tentative at best. Problem solved. <p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2013_06/1401683.jpeg.fc6341e517978237bab544a26a78cc81.jpeg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="2117" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2013_06/1401683.jpeg.fc6341e517978237bab544a26a78cc81.jpeg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

I could roll with that. In the last book, a large orb that stores magic power gets involved. I could incorporate that.

I've played subordinate characters before, just because your general role is a sub that doesn't mean we control you. But think about it, in a school dominated by two warring fractions were would you fit in, you'd undoubtedly get pulled into one of our games. Why? Because if not by our characters themselves, a npc we created would most likely pull you in.

I vote for letting the story go where it wants to go. Honestly, as much as I enjoy planning ahead, I think it's more fun to let characters play off each other from post to post. Heck, Vlad might end up getting tricked by Guise. I never know what my characters will do until I start writing, you know? They have a mind of their own.

I saw things going this way at first. While searching for answers, Lucem sensed magic within the school and applied there, hoping that he could find answers about the group who attacked him and his family. His main cover would be an Anaweir and his secondary would be a weak wizard. His personality defines him as a loner and he basically hates all violence, which would include a faction war. From what I gathered, Vlad uses his magic quite frequently, which would provide the source of the magic Lucem senses. I agree with Plume though. Letting the story go where it wants to go does sound a lot more enjoyable.

That's what I mean, but you Vlad still must keep in mind the persona in which you're attempting to play Vlad.
And what reason would our character's have to interact with that of yours? Free form is great but a good rp should still have a point. But I'll go with what you guys say, it's no biggie.

Indeed I will c:
For now I just had it set up for fun, as is always my goal with RPing. I'd like to wait for a few more people to join, including the person I set this up with, before we decide on a plot excluding them, you know?

Oh, I wasn't focusing on plots. I have know idea what the main purpose of this rp is, all I know is you and your family have something I want. That's my agenda, well my primary one.

If the problem is needing more members, that might be easily fixed. Did you make a post in the Role Play Recruitment section?

Actually I kinda like Guise, I'll keep him for now. So, you guys continue and I'll wait for a bit. How many people are suppose to be joining anyways?
Um, I'm really hoping this isn't going to turn into one of those generic magic kids in highschool roleplays.

Hmm, recruitment threads don't usually get much hype, they're more for setting out ideas I've found. I'd just be patient, I might make a Sorcerer girl, plus Finn'll join. c:

Give it a day at least.

I didn't realize you wanted to toss him, you can make more than one character if you please. It doesn't matter really, we could work with what we have now, but I like giving it time, not everyone is on earlier in the day, the peak is around 1am.
And no, most of the RP will take place out of the school. Not to mention German schools typically have a different vibe to American ones. Chances are, but once again I don't like to control it too much, the characters will end up not staying in their starting places. With a war going on, it's more likely they'll have to stop attending school and hide out. Nevertheless, a school is a good place to force the characters to get to know each other before the ball starts rolling.
Going AFK. Be back in a while. c:

You can't totally eschew school, think about it. It's a great focal point, not man adults would go after kids. What kinda threat would a child be to a Master Wizard or so the Master Wizard would think. Outside of school what then?

Honestly I'm leaving this up to the people in this role play. It's not for me to say what you have your characters do. If you want your character to stay in school? Great. If not? Also great. The characters belong to the people who made them, and they can do whatever they please. For all I care, a UFO could show up and it's suddenly raining pineapples and top hats.
