Blue laughs. "Try maybe 55-56 years. It was small time, only a few squads from back when I was a Solar. A couple of tribes were going at it and the local government wasn't helping so Equestria was asked to send in some mediators. It went pretty quietly of the most part, had a couple skirmishes with bandits and the like."

"Not the best I've ever been but I'll live. That tussle caused me quite a few aches and pains though. I think it just moved up my retirement by a few years due to the wear and tear on my body. Remind me to never take a mission like that again with Solars."

"It's something I can ride in and it flys. Sounds like an airship." Blue says with a shrug as he looks around. "Though I have to wonder why the Dawn Brigade hid something like this form the other brigades. If the Solar's could retrofit their fleets with a few of these babies I'm sure this 'war' would be over allready."

Dim scowled as he thought back to the mission "I swear Blue over there is the only competent Solar I've met; however you;ll notice he's no longer a solar." Dim peered over the edge of the railing before he said "Remember if you ever need to talk about it I'm an open ear."

Shadow nods. "I know. The same goes for you. I've also heard you got someone in your unit drunk in one of your contests. Which one was it this time? The former Solar? I mean he must have pulled something off to impress you."

Blue's ear twitches. "Point taken. Though since these things obviously work I hope the princess get around to retrofitting the fleets, I've seen more ponies die from having their blimp's balloon sliced by a lone warrior than I care to think about."

"I got demoted here last month as well," Blue says before looking at the pegasus, furrowing his eyebrows. "Were you in Greenwall's class at all?"

"Eh, Blue, you got any advice for me on this? I've not been a sergeant in the modern military before." Star turns toward the subject of his question.

Blue looks back over his shoulder. "Make sure no one breaks the law, keep your troops alive and follow your orders, unless they're stupid then don't. That's pretty much all there is to it." He calls out.


 
Raising an eyebrow as he put the smoke back, Blue turns back to the pegause. "You know I'm a private right?"
