Operation XV Research and Development


The Dawn Brigade has declared it's latest armament ready for field testing. The task of testing this weapon has fallen on the shoulders of three of the Dawn Brigades top squads. Due to the secrecy necessary for this weapon all details are being withheld from the squads until they are on site, six miles south of the alpine peaks located deep with in griffon territories. This area is a hotspot for griffon military activity.

Dim glanced down at the letter that he had just received. "Time to get the squad together". Dim mutters before calling out to Raging "Hey, you ready for an actual mission?"

 

[Arackn]

'Yep boss! Just tell me what to do." Raging said, waiting for Dim to give his orders.

 

[Ebonysdagger]

"And viola, done recharging this one." Star steps out to see if everything is ready. "So we are going to get to do something stupid again, right?"

 

[Pleaseworkforonce]

"Essentially, at least there will be some more squads with us this time" Dim tells Star as he walks towards the Dawn brigades barracks "I want both of you geared up and ready to go with in the hour I'm retrieving the rest of those that will be working with us.

"Alrighty." Turning toward Raging, Star grins. "Long time no see. Burn anything interesting lately?"

 

[Arackn]

Burning nods at Dim before turning towards Star. "Hey, not much, since I got the templars tests and all that, you know the drill. I'm sad that I didn't get to play with you and the gryphons, but I'm sure there will be a next time. And you? I hope it's not been too boring without me."

 

[Ebonysdagger]

"Close but I've managed. Got dragged into a drinking contest with our CO. That was... odd. I'm pretty sure I saw a fluffy unicorn during that."

 

[Arackn]

"If it was pink, then it means that you have been cursed by a voodoo witch. Or you took too much alcohol. Also I am the only one in this squad that doesn't drink on a daily basis enough alcohol to make an adult dragons drunk?"

 

[Balancer]

Blue wanders out from his barracks and looks around. Best go find Dim, see if he's alright.

 

[Pleaseworkforonce]

Dim walks out of the officers quarters with two more lieutenants as well as four sergeants. "Alright finish gathering the rest of your squads and meet at docking bay 1" Dim prattled off from a letter he was reading.

 

[Ebonysdagger]

"Nah. I don't drink normally myself but I could tell he needed a drinking buddy. I just mentioned something from my past and got dragged into the contest as a result. And it was pink too come to think of it." Notes Blue walking around.


 
"Roger. Oh, sounds like we are going to get a nice field trip out of this at least."

 

[Arackn]

"Sounds like it, I wonder what the missions will be. As long as it let me burn things, I'll be happy!" she noticed Blue, but didn't paid too much attention to him.

 

[Balancer]

"You probably know more than I do at this point about what is happening. Let's get a going then. I want to see whatever it is we are working with in action."

Dim returns to the main room of the barracks with two privates. The first Private of note was a large grey earthpony wielding a greatsword. The other was a pegasus mare in light leather armor and a few daggers. "Men form up for briefing!" Dim shouts to his squad.

 

[Balancer]

Blue steps into the room, nodding at everyone as he takes a spot next to Dim, his plate clinking slightly.

 

[Arackn]

"Alright boss!" said Raging as she walked towards Dim, observing the two other privates.

Star shrugs and falls in.

 

[Pleaseworkforonce]

"Alright, there will be a full briefing once we are underway on the SS Generosity. This mission will be completed by 3 Dawn Brigade squads each consisting of 1 lieutenant, two sergeants, and three privates. You will notice that there is currently four privates standing here and only one sergeant. Normally this would require a ceremony, but time is of the essence. Star Craving step forward.

Star looks a bit surprised but steps forward when requested.

 

[Pleaseworkforonce]

"Star Carving, due to acts of heroics during the past missions of the griffon war, and a personal commendation." Dim smirked at his fellow soldier "It is time for you to enter the chain command" Dim pulls insignia that identifies one as a sergeant from his pocket. He places the insignia in front of Star "Remember to serve your kingdom well Star.

 

[Ebonysdagger]

"I'll do what I can. This will definitely be different for me." He levitates the insignia up and attaches it to his robes. (I'm assuming I'm allowed to do that now.)

(This is not ceremonial, so it does not matter really)


"Alright men move out to docking bay 1 and prepare to leave". Dim begins to the lead the way to the dock at the top of the mountain.
