Fantasy The Covenant

Maegor looked over at the water person. "There's a lot of things about me not to like, to be fair." He stood, his blade in his hand. "I am Maegor. My goal is to be less bored. I'm also a magician...so...that's why I'm here. I threatened to hurt no one around here today, so I don't see how you can make that statement."

Blair was crouched with her head buried in her knees. She lifted her head when she sensed magic nearby, and a lot of it. Wiping away her tears with the palm of her hand she stood up. Her pure white dress flowed behind her as she made her way to the magic. It was everywhere, someone who uses it must live near here. There was definitely more than one magic user though, she doubted that it was just one person. As she pushed some bushes out of the way she stopped in her tracks. There she spotted quite a number of people. A slight gasp escaped her mouth before moving the bushes back for cover. She pulled her fingers through her beautiful colored hair. It felt like silk and flowed down like a waterfall. Trying to look through the thick plants she managed to see someone who looked a bit nervous, with a girl and a blue familiar. Her face was calm but her eyes were riddled with curiosity.

Maegor looked over at where the plants had moved. He had heard a noise, and suspected it was a demon. He immediately swung his sword low to cut through the stem of the bushes in order to discover who was there. "Another person? Weird, so many people are appearing today...." Shrugging, Maegor extended his hand in order to help the girl stand up. "Pleasure to meet you."

Suddenly a man came barging into her hiding place, causing her to fall back in surprise. Blair hesitantly reached out to grab his hand. Brushing some dust off her dress once she was up. "Nice to meet you," she said while offering a slight bow. Her bright blue hair fell in her face as she did so. This forced her to move it out of the way "i'm Blair." She was usually a very outgoing person, but she wasn't herself these days. After what happened she couldn't help but feel a little nervous around these strangers.

Maegor looked at Blair with confusion. "Well...I apologize for cutting your bush. May I ask what type of magic you use, if any?" He sheathed his sword. "Nice hair, by the way."

Blair's dark eyes scanned the rest of the group, her gaze landing back onto the man when he asked a question. "I have elemental magic," she stated in a slightly proud tone. "Want to see?" That question was a bit of a rhetorical one, since she was going to show him anyways. Blair extended her hand, and after a few moments water started forming in thin air. The water moved swiftly and delicately as she moved her hand.

Vytalas sighed as he looked at Faith, "Well, I wouldn't say I have a set goal, but I suppose you could say I am on the hunt to gain a Demon familiar" he sighed as he looked at Mileena, "I already have my spirit ons after all.." Mileena waved her vines around happily as she stood right next to Vytalas, as if protecting him. He then looked at Maegor "My name is Vytalas and I am a summoner, so I use summoning magic. I also use necromancy. Which I can only guess is something bad this blue fox sensed inside of me. No matter. I'm not like the other necromancers so you have nothing to fear"

Halk became immediately interested in what the necromancer had to say. "A demon familiar? Hmm, that's never been done before..." Coming away from faith a bit to inspect the necromancer, he noticed his garb, his familiar, Halks eyes skirting over all aspects, taking in every detail. "They don't have souls like regular creatures, and they do have an inherently evil nature. I've recently aquired some horns from one..." Halk rubbed his chin, noticing his overgrown stubble. He hadn't shaved in awhile. "Yea. Tell me Necromancer, how are you interested in using said familiar? And under what magic do you wish to control it? I suppose you might be able to use a charmed collar, but I've never been able to get close enough to try it." The sphere garbled out a few words again, so Halk flicked it again, attempting to stop it. "Souls are funny things, and it's very hard to put one in something that doesn't have one."

Halk realized he had gotten a bit carried away chatting with Vytalas, and glanced waringly at Faith and Raine. "I'm sorry, I can be a bit to trusting at times... But logically if anyone here was going to harm us, I assume they would've done it already."

Vytalas laughed as he clicked his fingers and Mileena disappeared. He listened to what the male mage had to say before smiling "You take me for a fool, charmer..." He giggled slightly and then looked at Halk. "Yes, you are right.. Demons do have an evil nature by birth.. But not all Demons are the evil, 'out to kill anything in sight type' you know." Vytalas put his hands behind his back as he added "As I said before, I am a summoner.. For me to obtain a familiar I just need to summon the creature from the abyss.. And create a bond with it...It really isn't that hard, although, if the mage is too weak the creature will most probably attack him/her. So I already have a plan in mind, although, I am not weak" Vytalas went closer to the male mage as he looked him dead in the eye. "What I would need to do is kill the demon, take a part of it, be it flesh or a horn or even part of its hair or clothing.. Like the horn you have.. And perform a Necromancers ritual on it, binding the creature to me. Then I summon it back into the world as a new entity." He smiles as Mileena appears again. "That is how I will gain control over the Demon.. It's how all Necromancers do it.. If they don't use a blood ritual first"

Halk moved back a bit avoiding the necromancers gaze. "Yea, I know how it works, I'm not completely ignorant... Although I usually don't bring back up what I put in the ground. But then it wouldn't exactly be a familiar, just a zombie..." His sphere made a grinding noise, one that wasn't supposed to happen. "Mmm. You haven't told me your name yet. So... what we gona do, go around in a circle and introduce ourselves?" Halk's eyes shot around, not by any means comfortable with the necromancer, but the buff guy looked like he had a kind heart and a 'firey' spirit. Halk looked at his sphere, and ran a finger down the side in a swirling pattern, the light from the sphere dimmed as it shut off.

Kolby stood watching the scene play out in front of him with Kino sitting next to him on the ground, playing with a ladybug. "This'll get interesting really fast!" He whispered to Kino, who smiled and nodded.

"I hope so," Kino said. "I've been bored for a while. Nothing like a good fight to take away the boredom blues!"

"Agreed," Kolby smiled.

Blair looked around the group as well. Her hands were neatly behind her back as she took a step forwards. "Um," she paused and glanced away. "I'm Blair," she stated calmly. For some reason she felt the need to introduce herself first. Since she just showed up and all, it seemed like these people had been talking for a while. Though she was nervous her presence showed confidence. Her body language usually had a hard time telling others how she feels. That's okay though, her eyes do it anyways. Her eyes always gave away her emotions; It could be problematic sometimes.

Kino wolf whistled at Blair. "Hello Nurse!" He whispered to Kolby. Kolby gently slapped him upside the head, right behind the ears.

"Shhh!"

Blair's eyes shot towards the direction of the wolf whistle. She shuffled a bit and huffed, blowing her blush-purple strands of hair out of her face. She squinted a bit, attempting to look angry and intimidating. Of course it didn't work out. A sigh escaped her mouth, she couldn't think of anything to say. Wind started to circle around her before she turned around in frustration. She crossed her arms which caused the wind to fly outwards, aiming straight for the wolf whistle culprit.

Kino fell over as the wind blew him backwards with a startled yelp. Kolby just laughed.

"Yipe!" Kino said as he fell. He heard Kolby laugh and growled quietly. "Not. Cool."

Kolby smiled apologetically at Blair. "Sorry about that. My lit- my familiar has about as much maturity as a thirteen-year old."

Faith stepped forward beside Halk, "Actually what you said isn't true, Necromancers actually have a great ability at controlling demons," she explained as she moved towards Vytalas letting her face turn grim. "However, I will say there are several dangers to what you are pursuing at the level you are at now. You need to focus on advancing your abilities before you attempt to command a demon familiar. True some do not harbor evil intentions when summoned, but you need the right tools for a SPECIFIC demon."

Raine approached in her smaller form before Faith picked her up, "Take Raine here, Kitsune are both spiritual and demonic so they grow more attached to their summoner AS long as you base the type on your own abilities. For example my magic is both healing and plant-based magic, so of course Raine being a guardian of life water grants the earth would wish to partner with me."

"I will, however, have faith in your abilities; mainly because you seem to be determined not to perform a blood ritual which requires the sacrifice of another witch or wizard. This method a sure shortcut at gaining a demon's control because it sees the blood lust in a soul. Upon the death of the Necromancer who performed said ritual, the demon will devour his/her soul mercilessly before returning to the demon realm. Despite this fact many Necromancers did it anyway as it is the fastest way to improve their skills and become the strongest of magic-users...if you ever try to perform the ritual, if you ever attempt to even look at someone like you want to use them for one...I will kill you Vytalas in order to protect the others."

Halk could see the hostility in Faiths demeanor. He did not like where this was going. Too many people who may or may not be friendly in one day. He continued to back up, giving Faith a parting little wave, glanced warily at the Inari, then turned on his heels and strode off quickly, hand on his dagger. He was regretting not picking the one that telescoped into a police baton and exploded if jerked around too much. 'Back to my little hole,' he thought.

//Important Message//

I need to ask a few people to move to the IC RPing 2 tab, the rp is becoming dense with rpers too quickly and there needs to be time to develop the main storyline so not everyone gets left in limbo [get the pun?] trying to figure out what exactly is going on..

I'm trying to relate everyone in the storyline slowly with some great care so it does not overwhelm anyone, so for those who haven't interacted with Faith, Vytalas, or Halk yet, please move to the other tab until we can get you into the main storyline. Take the time to develop your character more and if you are desiring to add something to make the world even better, please post in Out of Character Chat.

I'll let a couple people at a time know when they can move over to the RP Tab 1 once I kind of figure out an order.

It's what happens when so many people appear on my first rp ;_; Please still love me ^^'

Faith herself didn't like this, watching her new friend go so quickly. Was it because of what was happening? Or was it because of what she was turning into? Someone really told her that if anything were to happen to Halk now she would feel heavily responsible...

Raine jumped out of her arms stunning Faith as the little water fox rushed after the Charmer, moving in front of him as if an effort to keep him from leaving, 'Don't go, you are the only one Faith trusts right now, you have to stay!' she fretted, Halk now able to hear the voice of the Kitsune as it spoke to him.

Vytalas looked at Faith sternly as she spoke with threatening intentions, Mileenas expression turned cold in response. "My dear, You wouldn't need to kill me.. Just remember that I am not like the other Necromancers.. I am not filled with crazed thoughts about blood magic and I have no intention of sacrificing anybody to achieve my goals" Vytalas then looked at Raine with a smile, "I'm glad that you have such a great bond with Raine.. She truly is a very beautiful creature.. In fact.. I have a kitsune familiar as well.. Although Sky doesn't like being summoned.. I am currently training her you see.." he let out a kind smile as Mileena went back to her relaxed state

Halk stumbled and stopped, surprised the Inari had spoken to him. He paused for a moment and glanced over his shoulder at faith. "I... you have to realize... things are going to go sour soon. I like to..." His sphere repeated his words, stuttering them even more than he did. "Damn..." He flicked it, turning around to face Faith. "I haven't met many people, but I've met demons. I've had a few close calls with the other creatures of limbo as well." He said, stroking his daggers hilt. "If Vytalas is going after them... Seeking them out... I don't want to be anywhere near when shit hits the fan." He tried his best not to show his fear, but it was apparent in his eyes and his voice. "I at least want to be better armed, I've made some... curious antiquities. But nothing I don't know how to use, and certainly nothing I intend to anytime soon, just precautionary..."

"I just...I trust you Halk, I really don't wish for you to leave permanently," she spoke, a look in her eyes seeming to be begging not to be left alone and possibly forgotten in the Hell they all were living in. "Vytalas like all of us is finding his own path to mastering his abilities, something the people who sent us here intended. Perhaps it is time we stopped acting alone out here and actually started assembling a group, establish each other here and try to help one another survive..." With a wave of her hand, a little fern beside her suddenly flourished with color and health, "I'm tired of being scared, I want to try to make things better for all of us...will you help me?"

Halk felt really bad after Faith had pleaded with him. He sighed heavily, then rolled his shoulders. "Allright. But if you plan on facing demons," He said, walking up to Vitalas, "You're going to need this." Halk took the necromancers arm roughly and produced a bottle of silver liquid. Halk placed about tewnty drops in his palm, the strange anomaly winding around his wrist and fingers, seemingly having a mind of his own. He ran a finger up Vytalas's sleeve, from the cuff to the shoulder, then across his back, the silver liquid spiraling in a unique design, spiking in some places, smoothing out in others. Halk rubbed his hand over the strange substance one last time and it froze like that, imbedding itself in the material with a warm blue glow. "Fire resistant quicksilver," he explained, "I enchanted it myself. The hard part is layering the charms the right way so that they don't cause problems. Try tossing your jacket in a fire, you'll pull it out just the way it went in. I could go into more details, the specific heat capacity of the quicksilver, absorbing magical properties from the air, but I won't bore you with the details." Halk popped the collar of his own rabbitskin jacket that was etched in multiple designs and runes and layerd in countless enchantments he had aquired over the years. "It's never failed me."

Vytalas smiles at Halk "I thank you for this gift, charmer. I appreciate it with all my heart... This truly will help me with my task" he smiled as he then patted Mileena on the head as she made a giggling sound in response. "Well, how about we join forces? I mean, that is probably a lot safer than travelling alone.. And each of us possess a different type of magic which if used correctly. Could benefit us all.." Vytalas turns to smile at both Faith and Halk "I won't put either of your lives in danger.. You can count of that."

Faith moved close to Vytalas and admired Halk's work. It was amazing, the abilities of a Charmer had the potential of holding. The manipulation of Quicksilver was an advanced technique, so advanced you had to actually be born with the ability. Upon closer inspection, Faith could see and identify the charms that fireproofed Vytalas jacket...she was left in awe once again by the man who wandered from the wood. "Perhaps we can start setting up a settlement? Honestly I wouldn't mind having help doing some remodeling over here, plus some neighbors would be nice," she cheered before wandering around the field, letting her imagination wander as her envisioned a whole town being birthed at this place one day.

Halk nodded. "Sounds like a good idea. Stength in numbers paired with strength of society... Everyone will need sufficient space though. We'll have to take care to not trample over anyone else who might already be in the vicinity of our area..." Halk's ingenuity was showing as he rubbed his chin, deep in thought. "I've told faith before, but I live underground. It comes with certain advantages, one of them being protection. One of the downsides is ventilation. I can go forever smelling the grease and magic of my work, but I doubt others can. I don't live too far from Faith, maybe five minutes walk downstream, it's just that my home is pretty, well, unnoticable. The demon I mentioned earlier today, it found the door, but my enchantments killed it. I'll have to take those down and set up other precautionary measures." Halk was enjoying laying out the buildings and magic that would make up their little settlement, thinking and planning was something he did best.
