a few things
Sure, multiple people can have variations of Dark Magic, but Jumbledmess has sort of already claimed "Dark Magic" with her (unfinished?) bio. So its a bit disengenious and tacky to take "Dark Magic" from her. Why dont you just go with "Hex Magic", although thats another one that could pop up easily from some future enemy Sage/Witch. I wouldnt say put "Curse Magic" there because there will definitely be a future character with an emphasis on Curse Magic. Who will end up being a villain of sorts.
Age 10... I mean yeah sure, but like, this is a pretty mature rp. I dont really know why you necessarily want to rp a 10 year old.
He also wouldnt have a Awakened appearance without having a Contract. But maybe thats like "his symbol", and is just there for future reference?
A 10 year old writes stories? Seems fairly unlikely. Also not sure who told a 10 year old of the secretive mission that Letitia went on, and the incident that happened there with Ao Meira. Letitia hasnt even turned in the report on it yet. Haha, but again, he can learn about it, just kinda odd. For the record, unless it becomes common knowledge through rumor and/or is already common knowledge, most mission details are left to privacy. With Black Jobs being mostly completely secret. Also Coven jobs are not normally told to The Collective, but The Collective often will tell The Coven about some of the jobs they do. Also also, The Coven like, loves dark magic, practices a ton of it, seeing it as just another means. A powerful, prominent means even. The Collective is the one with the hang up on using "dark magic". (But also that doesnt necessarily stop Sages from practicing it either)
A nitpick, while The Coven would send him to The Collective, The Collective could just as easily have come to him and taken him (probably safer than allowing The Coven to decide what to do lol). But its not a huge deal, and still works.
Good bio over all!! ^w^ thats just what i have to say about it
Oh you did typo near the end of history Its "Staircase" not Stairway youre mixing up Staircase and Gateway lol
what do you mean how rare is it?Just to be clear, spirits are more likely to be kind to humans than demons, I know. But how rare is it?
Yah she asked for "Dark Magic" before your character -not sure if her bio is finished yet, i.. dont think it is? Jumbledmesso o f
I didn't know dark magic was taken, that's mildly upsetting. I kinda made it a foundational point of the character...
Also, I didn't say the stories he wrote were good, I just said he writes them. I did it once, it was gr8
Finally I picked a 10 year old for rp purposes. The character was written to have a lot of developmental room :/
Anyway, I'll get to work on patching it
Final edit: after I hear back from you
I'll change the magic type to "Hex Magic... for now", as his character is semidependent on being dark magic connected. If you agree to that, that should clear up the most glaring impasse, as I fixed the typo.what do you mean how rare is it?

Yeah I can see how its the point of the character ^w^ so yeah um, unsure. He doesnt seem to have a focused magic anyway, since hes a 10 year old studying magic.
Mhm, I get that
Yeah, but every character can have developmental room, they dont need to be a 10 year old XP
okay patch it up :>
ummmm yeah i mean, there are a lot of sages and witches and apostates with contracts, but idk... its idk.. XD iduno how to answer this questionlike, how often does it happen, because I know they just don't go handing out contracts.
yah just leave it as Hex MagicI'll change the magic type to "Hex Magic... for now", as his character is semidependent on being dark magic connected. If you agree to that, that should clear up the most glaring impasse, as I fixed the typo.
I am going to leave him as a 10 year old because it's an angle to the story that isn't really being tackled; every named character is teenage or older, and there's not really much perspective from the student (or at least there wasn't when I started imagining this character today, until another roleplayer posted an unranked character). Also, if this is really successful and the plot of the roleplay extends over several years, it's a character I can develop and grow for a long time.
i would also say Hex Magic is special
Yeah, that's why I said "kinda" at the end of offensive, because it does blur the line, but it's still an aggressive form of magic.wouldn't hex magic be offensive? cause isn't it hindering your enemies?
Ooooooooh, lemme see!Thalia_Neko I have the draft saved for my new char and I will deploy it at a later date

no no noYeah, that's why I said "kinda" at the end of offensive, because it does blur the line, but it's still an aggressive form of magic.
luls i guessWow did I miss a lot...
ahh wow! okayThalia_Neko I have the draft saved for my new char and I will deploy it at a later date
no no no
if it "blurs the line" that makes it "Special" cuz it has multiple roles and has diverse uses. so while some spells ARE offensive, others can be defensive, or specialized, etc -hence a "Special" magic type
Fire is Offensive, because it has little to no practical use outside of directly attacking others
luls i guess
ahh wow! okay
good to hear! :3
EDIT: As an aside, despite the initial revision needs (in fact they probably made it better), I'm definitely much happier with Albin than I was with Marrick.
So, just out of curiosity, what do I need to know to be as lore friendly as possible with respect to dark Hexes?good to hear! :3
give me an example of what youre thinking, or what youre asking exactly? So, just out of curiosity, what do I need to know to be as lore friendly as possible with respect to dark Hexes?
If nothing springs to mind, I assume there isn't much to know. I just mean if there are particular rules for hexes you want me to follow (other than the obvious rules of 'don't stretch' and 'don't overdo it')give me an example of what youre thinking, or what youre asking exactly?
well this magic system allows for some truly insane stuff, but a 10 year old should not be able to do any sort of Hex that really poses any real issue and yeah, obviously, theres that general ruleIf nothing springs to mind, I assume there isn't much to know.
