Futuristic The Codes of Humanity

Damien arrives in town, staring up at the building. He stared at it's tall magnificence as everyone chattered away, not paying any attention to him. He thought to himself. "These humans take such pride in this crap." His eyes look the building from base to the top. "Hmph." He stretches a bit, closing his eyes as the first pillar of the building begins to crack. A few people notice and the tone of the ground changes to that of worry. He opens his eye and stares as the a few glass windows shatter, the crack from the base now slowly climbing up the building. He looks around and spots and women with a look of concern and slight panic. He makes his way over to her and whispers. " I think I see the building tilting." The woman panics and screams "it's gonna fall!" He smiles as one by one like dominoes they fall into panic. "Now for the icing on the cake." The windows start to shatter one by one as the pillars cracks start to spread over the building, rubble now starting to fall as he walks off the scene. "Tonights news should be interesting."

Yuki nodded at her dad's words and helped him carry in as much as she could. When they had settled into their room, she flicked through the channels and found nothing good on. "Imma go read," she said casually, dipping into her bag for her book. She curled up on the chair and read the novel she had bought with her. It was one of her favourite books, The Night Circus.

After a while, she went to check the time, only to find that her phone was missing. Deciding it didn't matter, they were only there for a few days, she kept reading instead.

"What? Oh uh ... hmm. Might be able to find some of them, I guess. But you know; they're kinda doing their own thing a the moment..." He responded before dropping off to just stand there silently for a moment as he did his search. When he managed to locate as many of the Code as he could, a nearby shadow would take his shape, albeit about the size of a small doll, long enough to approach the code and say, "going to hang out until we get to the HQ, so y'all know where to meet us."

Back with the actual Extant, when that part of it was finished, he merely shrugged.

"I poked 'em, we'll see how many bite, I guess. Anywhoo; who's this General fella?"

Koga looked through his phone, stopping on his wife's number. She'd chew him out once she found out he took their daughter to Brush - which is why he planned to text her and not call. He typed up his text, telling her where they were and why (obviously lying about the real reason being to spoil his daughter) before he sent it off and called to Yuki, telling her they were going to head into town.

Shura, now bored with the standing around, let Demi onto his Tombstone. The two hovered away soon after, hoping to find a better life on earth. Even though he felt Extant try and contact him, he ignored it. He understood Minerva wasn't bad, but he still had no intention of following her to their HQ. He wanted to do as he pleased from now on.

Yuki looked up from her book and smiled. She tidied her things away and grabbed her cardigan. "Where to?" She asked when she stood next to dad. She hoped somewhere exciting, the HDF HQ, or to the distraction in the city center, maybe to a press conference or something of the sort.

"Head of the HDF," Minerva replied absently. She twisted her mouth and poked her head out the window again, "Maybe you should hide," She whispered, hoping Andy wouldn't over hear. "They might try and," she looked back at Andy, who was distracted with driving. "They might try and 'hold' you,"

She didn't like the sound of that, but she could only admit that most of the HDF would try and lock him up. Her little voice wouldn't matter, it in fact might get her thrown somewhere too, abet somewhere more pleasant, and under the guise of a "transfer", but she would have no choice, pr to quit, which she refused to do.

Akemi heard her cell go off in multiple consecutive vibrations on the glass table. Picking it up to find her husband sent her something. She opens the inbox and reads; slightly angered at first at the fact that they were in Brush until she read the rest of the text. His reasoning wasn't as bad as I'd imagine. she thought whilst creating a reply. The response was calm. "As long as you two aren't fooling around. And be careful, news reports are going crazy in that city." It stated before pressing send. A second sense struck her, giving her slight doubt of his reason, but it was better to at least trust the two, right?

Elle felt Extant's call and thought about the proposal. She couldn't quite trust the HDF, but there was still information she needed from them. Not to mention she didn't want to leave Error alone; she did ask him to bring her here after all. Her decision was still cloudy, she needed more time to think. There's a slight possibility of her going.

Koga breathed a sigh of relief at his wife's reply. He'd managed to avoid being chewed out. He knew she could tell when he was lying if he actually said anything so texting her had really been for the best. "We're going to HDF HQ, Yuki. I have an acquaintance there who was at the scene. I'm sure she can provide us with some information."

"Oh, he sounds pleasant." He blinked.

"But try and 'hold' me? Well ... I'm sure they'll try but I doubt it'll get them very far. Though to be frank ... I really don't know where else to go. I mean, I can't exactly hide when I look like this." He scratched the place where his nose should be. "So at the end of the day, I guess it's HDF or bust." He chuckled.

"Should be fine, I think."

Minerva smiled, "If you insist," she said calmly, but she still wasn't sure. She was sure the HDF would have something up their sleeves, and she wouldn't be able to prevent it.

Yuki wriggled excitedly, the HDF HQ, the famous Human Defence Force Head Quarters. Her dad may have been in HDF for as long as she could remember, but she herself had never been to HQ. She plugged her headphones back in and sat back for the ride.

Koga drove off, heading for HQ. He wondered if Minerva would actually let him get away with this, showing his daughter a Code and all. He was often called too laid back by some of his peers - until they tested him. Still, this would be interesting to say the least.

"Look, if they try and do any funny stuff. I'll just leave. Because if they do try they run the risk of setting me off; and nobody wants that." He sighed.

"So lets try this 'car' thing again."

Elle smiles while gazing at the swaying grass blades as they move with every breeze come their way. Wanting to stay and enjoy such the surroundings, but had so much to know about our current situation. "Aren't u curious as to what they might know of our..home?"

The van pulled up at HQ, and Minerva peeked out the tinted window.

She was as tense as a spring as she opened the car door and slipped out. Fruitless efforts were made to clean herself up and she glanced up at the tall building. The now raised sun glinted off the mirrored windows, and Minnie shaded her eyes.

She looked around for Extant, prepping to brief him in HDF decorum.

Yuki saw the scrapers so aptly named in the short distance, eyeing them up, wondering what lay behind each window, what was contained on each floor.

"Dad, how much longer?" They were puttering past lines of similar buildings, all looking grander than the next. She grinned at her dad.

"Which one?"

((I hope the description of the HQ is okay I wanted to hold off until Yuki and co got there so Rex could describe it but I made a guess))

Koga smiled as he drove along, wishing she could be this excited for other things too. He found himself thinking she was similar to him, in this regard.

"Not too much longer sweetie, I promise. give it another ten minutes, okay?"

"Well I've heard that HDF might have been involved in the recent crash and destruction of our home." Looking to Error with some concern, wondering whether if she should care or not. She then There's an opportunity of renewing her life.

"...?" Error asked what she thought about it. "..." he said, saying that he didn't get out much of his home in the satellite.

"I think it's cruel for us to follow their commands when needed yet we are without homes and they are involved." Elle, confused as to help the HDF or to go on another path, watched the happenings of the city in the distance. Even though it's unfair, answers must be spoken. Whether that requires to go along with the HDF or not. If I do help them, it's only to help the people outside of this arrangement; not them. Looking back towards Error in his eyes, open more so than she's ever been. "Would u rather live a new life or combat with the HDF?"

Damien looks into the distance from the highest building in the city, staring into the direction where he last saw the codes. "trouble......" he takes a deep sigh. "They are nothing but trouble to my cozy life." He paces back and forth. " I want them gone....but how?" He notices a protest in a near by park and grins as he begins to chuckle. "The voice of the cattle should do it." He puts a hat and some shades and flies away to his home. "They already hate us and the news should have caught their faces in the last scuffle." He flies past a group of ducks. "The humans are afraid and i shall manipulate that into hatred." He laughs as he continues his flight.

When Extant stepped out of the van, his wings flapped happily.

"We didn't get attacked this time! I'd call that a wiiiiiiiiiin," he clapped his hands. "Starting to get the hang of things, I think." After a few more stretches, he looked around for Minerva.

"Anywhoo, I'm sure I'm the toast of the town right now, yeah?" He'd ask.

Minerva straightened her skirt and tightened her lips into a straight line. She ushered Extant forwards and in the doors, away from prying eyes.

Inside, everyone's eyes stayed glued to papers and floors or shoes, everywhere but Extant and Minnie parading through the building.

"Keep walking, follow close," she hissed and marched forwards strongly.
