Futuristic The Codes of Humanity

"I was taking a bath at a lake, but the codes are there so yeah"he said to Sturs. Bether stood up and sits at a chair"Great this chair is not broken, anyway Sturs what's your next plan" he said.

Sturs shrugged. Not that he didn't have anything in mind, but he figured he would watch for a while, see what the humans might do with the Codes. If they were lucky, the Codes might kill off the humans for them, or by some miracle, the humans might kill the Codes. Either way, he thought this would be fun to watch.

Yuki nodded and moved to her room, still chewing her toast. She fished around in her cupboard, finding an empty sports bag, chucking on essentials. "Ready!" She called, jerking it closed and tugging on her shoes.

Minerva stayed silent, watching the reporter's approach.

Adrian slowed and stopped in front of the HDF chick. "Hey, I'm Driver, Adrian Driver," he extended a hand and shook the woman's hand. "Chief Jones," she replied, an eyebrow raised. She didn't look pleased to see him. He gestured to the, uh, dude beside him. "And this is...?" He asked, to both of them. "What's it to you?" Jones snapped. Adrian was taken aback but recovered quickly. "Could I interview you two?" He asked, flashing a winning smile. He had her then, he look his lip ring between his teeth and grinned as charmingly as he could. Minerva's face didn't change. She stepped between him and the Code, taking a defensive stance. "No comment," she said.

"Just on-" he started,

"No comment." She said more firmly. Adrian was shocked, it hadn't worked? At all? We shot a doubtful look over his shoulder. "Not even one?" He asked hopefully.

"Just one," she smiled sweetly and leaned forwards. "No. Comment." She hissed. Man, this chick really didn't like reporters.

Koga had gotten his things together while she had done the same. He smiled when she said she was ready and walked out of the house, locking the door behind him when Yuki followed. Unlocking the car, he got in; buckling his seat belt soon after. Koga started it up, and drove off once she was inside and buckled in. He hoped she was comfortable since the ride to Brush would take an hour or two.

"You're bothering the lady," Extant finally spoke up. "She said no comment, and I'm pretty sure that doesn't mean "pester her until she says something else", now does it?"

Witnessing fishing in action, pondering whether to join or not. Elle's lips parted but closed again. She wanted to ask him to teach her, but it looked simple enough. She wasn't taught normal human activities since she was little. Surprisingly enough, Elle was willing to learn and try new things. Elle directed her eyes toward Error and found herself blushing a little a second before glaring at the water to stay focused. A smile came upon her face. "That looks too easy." Putting on a small bluff before using some of the electricity in her orb to strike like a fishing line. The energy dispersed in a small area of the lake when a dead fish surfaced from the water, laying on it's side. She blinked in some confusion. Error's fish was still alive before he prepared it above the fire. Did she do something wrong?

Akemi sighed in worry about the news rolling on about. She loved being around her family, but she couldn't stand being away from her daughter and husband. It was best to stay with her family. A thought crossing her mind of the earlier call she had with Koga. She didn't want to seem to worried, maybe another call with suffice tomorrow.

Yuki pulled out her headphones and plugged them into her phone. She checked her phone's battery and turned up her music. Leaning forwards she watched the city disappear as they headed for a new place.

Minerva squinted at the reporter until he backed off when Extant spoke. His eyes widened as he looked at Extant, looking more than a little scared. He nodded slowly and backed away a few paces before turning tail and running back into the throng of press.

Minnie turned away when he had disappeared, and muttered "Damn freaking reporters, think they have a free pass anywhere," she rolled her eyes and straightened her clothes, though they were already in perfect order.

Error created another chain and gave it to Elle before leaning next to her ear. "Calm down." He whispered. "And pull when you feel something tugging the chain."

Extant, however, was rather happy.

"That went pretty good, I think. Got rid of that guy without actually having to do anything!" He clapped his hands together. "So far, this hasn't been an entire was of a day; sure it started out bad enough, but hey."

He watched her straighten her uniform again, despite it not needing to, and chuckled.

"Though I think, that if you straighten that uniform of yours out anymore ... it's going to either fall off, or transform you into Static the Shocker."

Minerva looked down at his point, not realising she had been straightening her clothes at all. She stopped and brushed nonexistent dust off her jacket, inspecting her other clothes quickly before straightening up.

Minnie shook her head and laughed slightly "I will not be happy if this uniform falls off," she said seriously. "I already lost my shoes," she said, looking at her stockinged legs, deprived of the black heels she had walking in here with.

After the two hour drive, Koga stopped at a hotel. "We're here," he called to his daughter, "we are staying here for the duration of the trip. Let's go get our room." With those words, Koga turned off the car and got out, going to his daughters door and opening it for her soon after.

Elle watched Error intently before receiving one of his chains and listening to his words. She took a deep breath to ease her mind. He was right, this was supposed to be relaxing yet she called herself trying to prove something. It wasn't a normal test for skills she's used to at the Code Complex. Calming down, Elle gets a nice grip on the chains and nods with understanding. "Thank you." She found herself thanking him so many times. Her eyes sought the sun rising coming to a close as the day begins. It was beautiful while it lasted. Fortunately, the area was just as beautiful. Not too long after, she felt a tug. Immediately looking at the water as each link of her chain sinks deeper. Elle pulls back on the chain until a fish popped out of the lake, squirming around. Picking up the fish and smiling as she stands up to put the fish with the other to cook. The fish wasn't as big as Error's previous, but it was a nice size for a nice start.

"Neither do I!" He wiggled his right foot for emphasis. "We have so much in common!" He chuckled.

"Seriously though, it looks like the people you work for, or whoever, take care of you. So I could see them replacing all the stuff you lost today." He paused. "I guess, if they don't replace your shoes though, we can figure something out."

"Mmm maybe," she mused. She shrugged, "I have more shoes," she said. Just not good ones, it was a shame to lose them.

She checked her phone, a text on the screen informing her that the cars were 10 minutes away. A smile twitched on her face, and she was glad of Extant's presence. None I the media seemed to be coming closer, and she way thankful for that too. She didn't want to hold an impromptu press conference.

Yuki pulled out her headphones and hoped out of the car. She flashed her dad a smile an pulled out her sports bag. "How long are we staying do you think?" She asked, "Will there be room service?" She gasped, excited.

Damien sat in his dark home, leaned back in his recliner chair, staring blankly at the ceiling. He felt empty and didn't know what to do with himself. An hour has passed before he started to feel agitated. He clenches his right fist as he turns on the television. He spots a story about a new building that just got finished in town. He stared at it for a while before standing up and heading out his door towards the city.

Koga nods as he grabs their luggage. "We'll stay for a day or two. I want to be home before you mother gets back - at least that's my intention. You know how overprotective she can be."

Extant just watched the reporters.

They were kind of like ants, really. Or maybe like vultures .. he didn't know. But they watched and waited for something to happen, before swarming all over it with the intent to dissect it. It was ... bothersome. But for the moment, they seemed to be dissuaded by his presence. The one from before; the one who didn't listen also seemed to have completely backed off for the time being. Which was good.

He sighed and looked up in the direction where his home used to be.

How much quieter it had been. But was that a good thing?

He glanced at Minerva.

Maybe.

She catches Error cooking the fish. Elle then wondered if he likes to skin after cooking. She couldn't see herself eating scales and all. After cooking her fish, she glared at the shiny scales before peeling it off the meat. Her small fear ceased as she bit into the meat. Elle glanced toward Error and opened her mouth after her first bite. Unusually comfortable in talking about the topic. "Do you think the HDF will double cross us? Maybe try to imprison us again after fighting for a while?" Slightly saddened by the thought of any coming true.

"..." He said saying that if they try they will cry. He tossed his fish into the air and swiped it with his umbrella, the scales fell around him as the fish fell neatly on his lap.

Elle chuckled at his words as she watched his neat way of skinning the fish. At least he's not the type to each scales. "I'll keep my end of that promise." She continued eating while observing the city close to them. Despite of how busy it may be, it was slightly more convenient to live there. She just needed a place. A worried thought surfaced in her mind. Does he have a place to live? of course she wouldn't dare ask for a place to stay. He did too much for her to let those words slip her mouth. But what if he doesn't anywhere to live? It's not bad to at least ask if he does. Elle found herself staring at Error unintentionally as she thought and immediately looked away, embarrassed once she realized. He was pretty charming, but it was rude to stare in the first place. "Do you have a place to live in the time being?" Elle started eating again, calmly waiting for an answer.

Nathan finally stopped in front of an older looking house that, on the outside looked as if it was an actual home, but on the other side of its solid oak door was the place where he slowly found all of his hate for the world, the place that drove him to who he was.

He knocked on the door and waited patiently. He heard footsteps and when the door opened he was suprised to see a small boy probably no older than 6. He looked up at Nathan and asked, "Hello sir, are you hear to talk to my mommy and daddy?"

"Yes, young man, I am. Could you go get them for me?" He asked with a fake smile on his face.

The boy closed the door. He heard the more footsteps and then the kids parents opened the door. His parents.

"Hi, how are you? Our son said you wanted to talk to u-" Nathans father stopped halfway through his sentence as he realized who was in front of him. There was a small pause that felt like an hour. The man whispered, his lower lip quivering, "We're sorry."

".....No you're not....."

Nathan used his power to throw his father back by the metal fillings in the mans teeth. His mother was about to scream but he sent a kitchen knife flying through the air and it went fight into the back of her throat.

"Damn, I really didnt want to kill you like that. It wasnt supposed to be that quick, but its too late now." He said as he walked forward to attend to his dad. He picked the man up by his fillings again and brought him right to his face.

"You deserve this. You deserve to have everything you love ripped away from you. You are a horrible man, a man who treated his own child like he was lower than garbage. You told me daily that I was the reason that you and mom-you and that whore over there," he pointed to his now dead mother who was laying in a large pool of blood, "werent happy. You wrre supposed to be there for comfort and support, but instead you brought me pain and loneliness. So ive come back to settle the score."

He slowly started spreading the fillings apart, causing the bone in his fathers jaw to crack and eventually, break. He tried to cry out in pain but blood filled his throat, causing only a gurgled moan to surface. Nathan looked the man in the eyes one last time before his sent the same kitchen knife he used on his mother through his fathers skull. He turned to look at the child who had just witnessed the entire ordeal in horrified silence.

"Im sorry that you had to witness this, but in exchange I give you a motto to live your life by. The path to power is paved with the skulls of the weak. Youll underatand what that means when youre older." Ending with that, Nathan turned and walked out of the house after a quick call to the police about a murder he had 'discovered' and shut the door.

He was almost done, then he would be at peace.

Minerva felt her hair being rugged by the wind. She attempted to smooth it down only to have the wind tousle it again. She heard cars to her side and she turned to see if it was the fleet that had been sent. Her eyes caught Extant's who had been looking towards her. She wasn't sure what to make of that, and glanced away, her cheeks heating up a bit.

She cleared her throat and watched the cars approach and one pulled up in front of them. Tinted windows covered the car and it had a sleek black finish. Andy rolled down the driver's window and gestured for her to jump in, casting a wary look at Extant. She moved forwards, and Andy's eyes widened.

"What happened to you?" He asked, "Your shoes?" Minnie looked down at herself and took in her appearance.

"You look awful!" Andy laughed. She knew he was teasing but Minerva's ears turned pink nonetheless and she crossed her arms silently.

He just watched and waited patiently.

When Minerva got the nod to hop in the car, and he didn't, he just chuckled and flapped his useless wings a little. "Don't mind me, just a Code is all." Granted, he didn't exactly mind walking, or following the car; or even better, riding on the top of the thing without this Andy guy noticing.

Minerva nodded to Extant and hopped into the car quietly. "Where to?" He asked.

"HQ," she replied. "The General will be expecting a report," she said more to herself than Andy.

"Extant?" She called out the window before they started moving. "Do you know where the other Codes are?" She wondered if he could get them to follow along to HQ.
