by *Leslie Ferris-Feller (a.k.a. croi-doiteain aka The Chronicler Croi )

This is the story of the birth of the Worlds of the Chronicler Croi, my worlds. The worlds that were created from the rift that occurred, it is awful what can happen because of hate and greed. Please relax and enjoy I hope it is a bit informative and that you enjoy it.

*********

"Mama tell me a story, tell me the story about the split of the worlds." pleaded Lir as he his mother tucked him into bed. She leaned forward and kissed her little boy on the forehead and smoothed his long shimmering multicolored hair.

"That story is violent my little one, not one to be told at bed time." his mother breathed with a smile. "Maybe one of the creation of the fairies would…"

"Please mama, you're the C-ron-I cul-r High Goddess and that one has a happy ending please mama." Lir pleaded persistently. She looked at her half human half Dwin'Atearathtlarn husband Arithis's dark eyes with their teal ringed iris and pupil watched her and his son intently he smiled and shook his head. "it won't give me nightmares I promise."

"It is Chronicler my boy and it is not the best story for bed time." Arithis stated, Lir began to pout. "But it is up to your mother." the boy's mother looked at him and shook her head.

"I guess if I say no that makes me the bad guy ok, ok my little one but you will sleep in your own bed tonight no matter what." she warned and sat next to him on the bed, he snuggled up to her. Arithis took a seat in the rocking chair. "A time long long ago….."

"No, No do it as the chron-ni-cu-lar. The "I am the High Goddess" one I like it when you do it that way, it makes it better." Lir interjected and she smiled and then continued.

"I am the High Goddess Naiharaera the chronicler of the worlds I see the past the future and the present and I am going to tell you a story. A story how the world Caelo and many others came to be. How it's races and animals were created and how it's mother world was torn asunder by jealousy and discord. This is the story as seen by my all seeing eye.…" Naiharaera began..

"What is asunder and discord?" Lir asked slurring past his thumb in his mouth.

"Asunder means torn apart little one and discord is something like arguing or fighting." Arithis answered with a smile. "Continue my love." he breathed watching her with those white void eyes of his. The teal ring around the iris and pupil contrasting so amazingly. She smiled as an iridescent shimmer ran across those gorgeous eyes then continued with the story.

"Long ago the worlds had once been one world named Iunctacaelo, the joined heavens. It was called this because it was a place where each creature had it's own little piece of heaven an oasis of bliss. It was a time where human, elf, dwarf and other beings lived together in harmony watched over by the High Gods and Goddesses. They were given their hearts desires and their every wish.

Some of the beings were created with powers of magic and healing, some able to control the elements and manipulate them. There were quite a few magical races created at that time that lived along side the humans but I will now only mention a few of them.

The Race of Elves that were divided into three sub-races at the time were given near immortality, ageless beauty and magical abilities by their creator the lovely kind hearted High Goddess Elvianna, the goddess of harmony and beauty. She was assisted by her twin sister Lunaluxtia the High Goddess of the moon, ancient magics and elemental manipulation. They created her elves as she called them in her image making them lithe and slender with graceful features and pointed ears. They gave them three different sub-races the dark skinned Kortearaneaesti, the Siavainesti that were so close to nature they retained animalistic features of the big majestic cats, spots or stripes and a long slender cat-like tail, and a race they called the Lasavainesti filling them with so much magic and any ability that it flowed through them was apart of them as much as their blood. They hoped they could watch the creation of new elven races with these three sub-races.

Lunaluxtia decided to create a few races of her own the elf-like wolf cross called the Tyrnealy that took after the giant magic wolves she created their ears set higher than a normal elf or human and gave them a wolf-like tail and the ability to shift to the giant wolf form and gave them near immortality. She made the Killemitore a magical nocturnal race caught between human and elf with near elven features and slightly larger ears that drew their energy from her beloved moon and near immortality as well. With the assistance of the young High Goddess Haelethal and her brother High God Godernis the creator of humans for the exchange of breathing magic and immortality into a few of his own creations she created the elemental beings that could take a human-like appearance and control certain elements of nature giving them near immortality as requested by her brother.

The last race Lunalxuxtia created all on her own was the Lunapuer'Quattuor who would later be called by the other races the Lunapuer a race of people with four arms, varying shades of blue hued hair and slender frames. Their ears and facial features were much similar to the chiseled features of elves she helped her sister create, even down to their gently pointed ears. Their complection is usually pale because of their most loved hours are the night. A time when they feel closest to their High Goddess their creator, the High Goddess Lunaluxtia. She put her heart and soul into this creation of her very own.

After the High Gods and Goddesses created their races and gave them Iunctacaelo on which to live they began working together to create animals and plants of magic and non-magic of edible and non-edible to create a diverse world and to feed and assist their creations. The High God of knowledge Brianelis husband to Lunaluxtia spoke words of knowledge to the races and some of the animals teaching them volumes of useful information. What to eat what not to eat, what was safe to drink. The animals that would harm them and help them and so on. The High God of tolerance and justice Tolerjus husband to Elvianna taught them to be just and tolerant of each other. "

"But not all them remember-ded-d-d it did they mama?" Lir slurred against his thumb.

"Yes baby, that's right do you really want me to finish the story since you already know it so well?" she teased his eyes got wide. He quickly nodded his head.

"Sorry mama please finish." Lir stated pulling his thumb out of his mouth just for the apology then reinserting it as soon as he was done. Naiharaera smoothed his shimmering hair that continuously shifted colors and continued.

"Sadly not all the two gods lessons were retained by everybody. The jealous god Strife and the goddess Greedavva and their son the daemon god Cyliam whispered into the ears of some of the weaker minded men, the goblins, orcs and other dark creatures that they created telling them that there was need of balance. They told these creatures they were given an unfair deal and deserved more.

Those simple seeds that planted jealousy and misunderstanding eventually took hold of the humans and fed to the already dark thoughts of the darker races even entrapping and poisoning some of the minds of the elven race of the Kortearaneaesti. The tainted elves began calling themselves the Korettlnesti and the jealousy and misunderstanding eventually turned to hate and fear. When hate and fear tainted the minds of those humans, the darker races and the Korettlnesti they all began to hunt down the other magical children, slaying and torturing them. They bled them of their magic for their own perverse uses. They began to destroy the world the High Gods and Goddesses had worked so hard to create.

The Korettlnesti the dark elves that had participated in the heinous act were soon surprised and insulted when the other dark creatures and tainted humans started attacking them. The betrayal drove them below ground deep into the tunnels and added to the taint of the three dark gods created in their own jealousy. It made the Korettlnesti hate all that were not their own dark hearted kin.

The destruction and slaughter drove the High Gods and Goddesses into a great battle. Powerful magic were used and it pulled at the very fibers that held the magical world of Iunctacaelo together, the world that they had created together causing it's dimensional stability to crack and be torn asunder. The broken world threw the beings the High Gods had created into several different worlds. Surprisingly the High Gods stopped their arguing when they noticed what had been done. Some wept at the sight others snickered at the chaos they had caused, but the damage had been done. All they could do was watch as the confused inhabitants of each new world tried their best to regroup. Almost all races were equally represented on at least two worlds and they were varied on others.

One world in particular had been populated mostly by dwarves and humans of different races and few other magical races were found there. Those humans, dwarves and other races that had retained magical abilities immediately found ways of hiding because of the events that occurred on Iunctacaelo. The gods named this new green, brown and blue world Earth.

There were two worlds that had maintained a somewhat equal magical and non-magical population. The two worlds were almost the same in every way sister worlds you could say. They decided to call one of them Caelo and the other Nevaeheht. The acts of violence almost causing Lunaluxtia's beloved race the Lunapuer to become almost non-existent, driving them into hiding." Lir squirmed and pulled his thumb from his mouth.

"But you helped them didn't you mama you gave them a gift." Lir stated excitedly this was one of his favorite parts of the story hearing his mother helping the other races.

"Yes baby." she stated with a smile and then continued.

"I felt sorry for the High Goddess Lunaluxtia's most prized creation the ones she called her children, the Lunapuer. I felt great sorrow that they had been driven to almost non-existence. So I gave them a gift of my own a way for them to never forget what had happened so the errors of the past may one day be avoided. I gave them a way to pass knowledge and history. Each new child would be born with the knowledge of what happened and how their world had come to be. The knowledge would pass on to their offspring no matter what race they paired with.

I attempted to give the gift to the Lasavainesti as well but was interrupted in my granting it and it was not completed. The lower gods thought the act unfair and unjust but it had been done. The High Gods compromised and made all humanoid races able to breed with one another so the gift may be shared. It was later found the knowledge would be thinned if the Lasavainesti paired outside their race and some children were even born without the knowledge due to the uncompleted gift. For my act of mercy and the power of my abilities to see everything I was from then on forbidden to interfere by giving knowledge or assistance. The other High Gods and Goddesses and the Gods and Goddesses also took an oath to not interfere and let the people of the new worlds decide their own fates. We soon found out however the oath wasn't taken nearly as serious by some as it was by others." his mother finished. Lir looked up at her and smiled.

"But that isn't the end mama, you forgot to say years later you met daddy and he came to live with you in the mountain of sight and -and-and ." Lir argued excitedly.

"And we lived happily ever after my boy." Arithis finished with a smile as he stood. He walked over leaned down and kissed his little boys head and tucked him in. "Time to sleep now my son." he added and helped his wife up and tenderly kissed her lips. They walked to the door and turned back.

"Good night my little Lirrithorin, sweet dreams." she breathed and smiled when she noticed her small son already sound asleep. She blew out the lantern and closed the door.
