Magnar Ah, sorry to bother! But I wish for my character to be new to the seas as a sailor foreigner most likely and, I wondered is there a terminology do you wish to call such a role? I did a bit research and founded like, thousands of nick-names different navies have called newcomers of the sea crew, but never the older terms for the olden days. Know it's a bit silly for going professional in such a way or waste time when I can just explain it aside parenthesis like--

"Greenie" ( New Sailor)

But you've inspired me from the lore to try and research, along with learning about the set to sea days myself.

He could also double up as a guard as suggested.
