Fantasy The Calm After War (Always Open and Accepting)

Bailey O'Connor & Herah Addar
Boss Ship
Bailey just...she put her hand down, growing silent. "Tyr, you lost control because you were a bear. An actual bear. Animal instincts, and shit," She said sternly. Bailey stood up, signaling for Herah, who had just returned, to help her walk, the feeling her her leg still absent. "You have no problem controlling your anger normally, so let's just make sure you stay human from now on, okay?" Safety Hammer Safety Hammer

Alison Foster
Boss Airship

The crew under Ari's rule charged into the Elite Wing, armed with guns mostly because there's no way in hell most of them could beat an Elite in a swordfight. Alison, however, could. Anything her mace hit was smashed. Faces, Torsos, Walls. Both sides were getting mowed down left and right, but the fight was fierce. What made the mace a no brainer was their lack of armor. Nothing protected their heads from being destroyed.

"Dont let those two get to you kid. You did what was needed. I mean I would've done it but I can't do whatever you did. Actually I don't believe we've introduced each other fully. Or maybe I did. I mean if we haven't my name is Selra Windrivver. I hail from the continent of Tyrin. And may I ask your name?" Selra had no idea why she was so friendly to this boy. But she left the matter be as she knew it was best to befriend him. That way they were on better terms. And a name and homeland where good places to start.

"It's fine. Laying the kid to rest put my mind at ease I'm Noam Waesmor of the Adventurers. I'm local Rivinian. Let's get going. We'll receive no help here. We'll put the horses into high gear to make up for the lost time."

"Adventurers? The heck sorta name is that? No name like the Silver blades or something? Because adventurer is more of a term for anyone doing adventure stuff. A common merc in my homeland." Selra asked because it was an odd title. And as she said a title given to the common mercenary.

They started moving out. The horses were on a quick trot instead of a full blown gallop due to still being in the woods. "Arabelle was known as the Adventurer, a feared nomadic swordswoman. It just took from that title. Both me and my dad wanted to make a new name for the group, but they weren't and aren't looking to expand. I'd have preferred a name like Bluewell or Twinstriders or Greyroses. When you're that good of a group though, you're able to own a generic term. The term Adventurer here is a title looked on with reverence and notoriety, much like knight or assassin. It assumes skill. That's all because of The Adventurers. They changed the connotation of language for this entire nation with defeating King Valerian and Khan with his Endless Demon Army." Noam recalled his role in that fight at only 11 years old. His willingness to confront demons head on put him over all the defense efforts along with Ethan and Ciri. He continued. "My dad is the mage of the group, and one of the best damn mages in the country. If you show promise, he'll be the greatest mentor you'll ever have, so if you want to learn magic to bring back, you'd better be as skilful as you say with your blade. He'll fight like he's trying to kill you."

Zafiro

Zafiro didn't have any difficulty with his horse. With his childhood being so rich, and his adulthood filled with travel, Zafiro became accustomed to treating horses well. It was, however, deceptively difficult sometimes to use a horse properly, but Zafiro didn't seem to struggle. It was clear he was no stranger to travelling by horseback.

As the trio rode through the woods, Zafiro listened as Noam spoke about himself. He didn't know there was a group of adventurers called the Adventurers - that was bound to get confusing, at some point - but he got the feeling, at least from what Noam said about them, that they weren't exactly a global group. He continued listening as he rode, partially agreeing with Noam.

Looking forward, he began to consider his own adventure. He was headed to Toron, but for different reasons. Chances are, as soon as this business with the overhead pirates were concluded - although, he suspects it already is since the sounds of battle have died down - he'll break off from the pair and continue his own work.

Ari Waesmor
Boss Airship

Ari emerged from the room, carrying Arabelle, in the best mood he'd been in since getting on the ship. He took her over to the room with Bailey and Tyr with the twins. "I'm gonna go take over this ship. Wait here." He put her down then kissed her, then drew his gun and ran off

Storming the Elite Wing was easy tasking for Ari, as it was really just cleanup duty after Alison's group managed to spearhead their way through. Ari caught up with the group as they were nearing the Control Room. "Oi. Nice work guys and gals." They gave off a big "Aye aye captain." Nothing gave a person confidence like slaying the elite who treated them like shit. "Time to take over. We'll split into 3 groups. I'll take the captain's quarters, Alison will take the Engine Room. I'll send another group for the Control room." Ari began laying out his plan to everyone there.

"I mean I am only decent for my sword. My training was kinda cut off when I ditched the imperial army. I am self taught in the Greatsword so honestly don't praise me that much. I'll probably dissapoint you. And I can make no promises. I've only been able to cast two spells. And that is thanks to that blade I warned you about. But without the blade I have no magical affinity." Selrey explained to Noam. And she was right. If Noam spoke of her so highly to his father then Dad was going to be dissapointed by her. She was better off being honest.

Quinn had set Ryan down, having stopped the process due to the quality time Arabelle and Ari were having together. It broke their concentration and partially traumatized them. So the shadow was just sitting there beside the sleeping Ryan, not looking at Ari as he set Arabelle down and went off. "...." They fiddled with their long hair, simply waiting for Arabelle to awaken.

Arabelle kissed Ari once more and smiled up at him. “Have fun, Ari!” She walked over to Quinn and Ryan. “Hey there kiddos,” she said, and saw that Ryan was asleep. She smiled and then picked Quinn up. “How are you, sweetheart?”

Quinn shifted, almost uncomfortable with being touched by Arabelle. "I'm okay..." They replied, not looking at her. "I don't like Ari..." They spoke plainly. "He is mean and rude." Quinn was still their own person, for now, so they felt comfortable expressing themselves in front of Arabelle.

Arabelle smiled slightly. “Not many people like him. It’s okay that you don’t. Just don’t be mean to him, okay? Maybe you’ll get to know him better someday.” She kissed Quinn’s forehead.

"He shouts, and doesn't think about others like people should." They continued. "I won't be mean, okay." Quinn spoke in a very stoic tone as if obeying a command. "Maybe?" They blinked. "Will I or will I not?' It felt weird not being ordered directly. Hearing the word 'maybe' was a huge curveball for them.

"Well I can't give you much advice to fight my dad with. His magic has changed while they were on that ship, so that means his next God Contract has activated. What I would tell you won't really apply for the most part. What I do know is that he's fast. VERY fast, to the point where you'll think he's teleporting. That one fact has remained true no matter what contract he's been under. The test is always the same for him: Survive for 5 minutes on a training field. Holy Magic enchants the ground and activates upon fatal injuries or death to automatically revive you, as well as restore any used items. Here in Rivinia, that type of field is used so you can practice how you perform, with the equipment you'll actually fight to the death with." Training Fields were commonly used for training Knights and Assassins

He turned to the Noble. "Hey, it's not likely that we'll get up to that ship to fight pirates anymore. Eva was a waste of time and we probably lost that window, as you can hear from the silence. He probably already hijacked it. Unless you plan on somehow helping a rebellion in a country, there's no real point in you being here. If you're a mage though like you say, we need as many users as we can get." He still doubted the Noble's abilities. Even if he did use magic, was it good enough to use in a fight? Could it kill? Or was it just used to soak people and annoy them? Selra wasn't a mage, so she had to be at least somewhat decent with a traditional weapon to compensate. The noble, however, had both. Being multi-skilled meant you'd never be as good in an area as someone who focused on that area alone.

Ari Waesmor
Boss Airship- Captain's Quarters

Ari kicked in the door to see the captain in their room. "Am I fucking hallucinating?" He was immediately hit with the nauseating smell of perfume. This room was............a luxury to say the least. It look like a room in Ari's Manor. More specifically Elaina's room..........when she was about 8

Teddy bears, instruments. Pink everything, from the floor to the curtains to the ceiling, it was all pink. It was the room of a complete princess. Just outside the room, you risked stepping in a puddle of rat piss. A PUDDLE. Obviously they had standards for their own room, but said fuck it to the rest of the ship.

img-thing
The captain was sitting on their bed writing in a book. A rather cute woman, definitely too well groomed to be running a pirate ship. She were wearing a pink dress, which caught Ari's eye, not in a good way. He'd rather see it on Arabelle. When she looked at Ari, her eyes went wide. "OH MY FUCKING GOD!!! IT'S ARI WAESMOR!!! I'M YOUR BIGGEST FAN!! HAVE YOU KISSED TYR AGAIN?!?" She started running towards Ari

Ari went pale. The Captain of this ship was a Tari shipper, easily Ari's worst nightmare. Tari shippers, to Ari were the only thing he was legitimately scared of. They were mostly underaged and his fans. It went against every moral in his book to attack them unless they tried to kill them. They were his biggest fear, and he loved his fans........These though. Irate fans were the world's biggest scorn on the planet. Tari shippers also expected him to be in love with Tyr. Nothing more than kissing Tyr in their sight would kill them, but it meant doing just that.

"Fucking hell!! Keep her back. No fandom types here!" The pirates scrambled to get in front of Ari, pointing guns at her. They formed a human wall to keep her back

The captain grew irate. "Me dressing fabulous doesn't make me a woman, you know!! I just love you and want a hug and an autograph."

(This has taken a turn. A turn that intrigues me.)

Quinn blinked at Arabelle. Their purpose was to serve, to obey, to be commanded by a host. "I don't understand." They told her. "What am I supposed to do? Get to know him or not?" They asked. Quinn gave off a purr when their back was rubbed. "I am not tired." They shook their head. "I am supposed to take care of you." Quinn told her. "It is what I was made for."

Zafiro

As they continued down the path to Toron, Zafiro became less and less interested in Noam and Selra - he had little interest in what they had to say, what they were doing or anything really. He was only here because they seemed like capable fighters and they were heading in the same direction as him. Chances were that as soon as they passed through the capital's gates he would split off from the pair and go his own way. Instead of listening to the other two talk, he pulled out a small tattered journal and seemed to be flicking through the pages in it, reading the contents and muttering quietly to himself.

He jolted as he heard Noam call his name - rather, his title that he decided to give him. "What? Oh, I know. I just hope no one was hurt up there, but there's little I can do about it now." As he spoke, he placed his journal safely away in the folds of his clothing. "As for why I am here, I have my own business in Toron. I'll leave you two be after it. Rebellions are usually very bad for the commonfolk, after all, and I don't want to be a part of that." He sighs as he shakes his head - rebellions were so pointless, and usually end up worse for the people than in the first place. It was usually for something so silly, too. "What even is the rebellion starting over?"

Oh, what’s this?” She looked around. “It looks like a little kid’s bedroom,” she murmured to him, and then saw the captain, confused as to why they were standing defensively in front of Ari, the captain seemed harmless.

Toron was getting closer as the horses were in a full gallop. They were very well-fed, so they didn't have to stop to eat. "This rebellion is probably needed in her country. Oppressing people's magic calls for a change in leadership, plain and simple. If someone can be killed for casting a spell, it's doubtful that things will be worse off than before." He focused on the path ahead, but addressed Selra again. "My dad may just train you for your cause alone. We both love a good castle storming, a nice riot."

Castle Ravenskull was now looming overhead. They were ahead of the Boss Airship, so hopefully they'd land in Toron

"YOU'RE A FUCKING GUY?!?" Ari had dealt with many a crossdresser. Hell, he crossdressed if the assassination mission called for infiltration. That's why he kept his hair long. He thought he was pretty convincing when he had to, but jesus christ. There was no real indication whatsoever that this girl was a guy. Hell, even the flat chest didn't draw his eyes to make that conclusion. Maybe it was their mannerisms. Honed to perfection. It made Ari think that, if he wasn't bullshitting about this, one would have to be raised as a girl to be THAT good at catfishing

"Hmmm?" His face tilted to the side. The sound of confusion. It was adorable as shit, and for Ari, that wasn't a good thing. Heart piercing cuteness wasn't what he needed from someone he needed to kill

Arabelle walked up and kissed him, and the Captain grew irate again. "YOU!!" He charged forward, but was held back with ease by the pirate crew. He was flailing uselessly as the pirates were much stronger. It did take about 6 to hold him back from Arabelle though. "YOU HARLOT!!! TAKING HIM AWAY FROM TYR!! HE DESERVES BETTER!! HE NEEDS A GOOD STRONG MAN TO HOLD HIM AT NIGHT............Or at least someone better to cuddle like me......."

Arabelle shrank back slightly from…whoever the hell this guy was. “Ari, what the fuck is going on in here!?” She took his hand and squeezed it, incredibly confused. She knew of the existence of Tari shippers, but she always thought it was a joke. Now she was realizing that it was very much real. She stayed close to Ari’s side, not backing down, but the captain’s words pierced her a little, she always felt that she wasn’t good enough for Ari. Her friends always tried to convince her otherwise, but now she knew other people thought she wasn’t good enough as well.

"Eh....I-uh." Ari shrugged. This is a clear sign of defeat. He was done with life. "I fucking give up. I've seen all I needed to see out of this life now. This is a guy and not a girl. A TARI shipper. He runs a fleet of pirates and tried to kill us, yet I'm somehow the love of their life.........or some shit. I just don't know. Every adventure we've gone on. Every moment of my life has led up this very moment. I got to say, I don't know if I'm satisfied anymore of where I ended up."

He was snapped back when the Captain made a pathetic attempt to assault Arabelle. An attempt, however, was still an attempt. Ari jumped over the entourage and grabbed the captain by the throat and put his axe gun to their throat, pushing them against the wall. "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't speak," he said in a low enraged voice, bringing his face close

It didn't have the desired effect. The captain just moaned softly, trying to muster up enough breath from the throat being crushed to speak. "Harder........" A masochist wasn't what Ari signed up for. Ari threw him through a wall, feeling dirty as hell. He needed more than a few showers. "Alison did the same shit when I chained her up in the basement for a week because the house looked like a pigsty." Ari shuddered. Why him?! Wasn't he the asshole of the group? He could damn near see the hearts over the captain's head as he got up, blushing and flustered

And he was met with a barrage of cannon balls at his ship. Kondor jumped after the first cannon ball hit the little air ship. He jumped onto a another cannon ball. He only used the second as a touching point; he was quickly jumping and extending a bandage toward the ship. The bandage wedged itself between the side of the ship.

Kondor ended up dangling from the side of the airship. He pulled himself up and he began to run up the side of the ship. He threw himself above the deck and onto the top of the ship, well he fumbled onto the top of the ship.

He was breathing heavily in a pool of blood. He noticed; he freaked out a little bit.

"My options living, they're going to be someone killing. Mutiny or crazy captain. Or something else happin'd. "

He stands up kicks around the blood.

"So..ergh, I better takeover the ship..."

He over the ship.

"Or I could crash it..."

He begins to walk around the deck inspecting for any clues on how to fly a giant airship.

"ALRIGHT WOOD DO YOUR WORST HAHHAH, yep"

Arabelle just looked really fucking confused, so she decided to take it into her own hands. She walked up to the captain and punched him hard in the face. “If you fucking touch my husband I’ll kill you. I don’t need to worry about Tyr, Bailey will kill you if you touch him.” Her eyes were hard, hiding how she was actually hurt.

The punch actually hurt worse than being thrown through the wall. Probably because there wasn't the love adrenaline and the masochism that was there when Ari does it. "I'll take very good care of him, far better than you ever could. I was sent here to teach Ari how to use Arcane Magic and to be the medium that he activated his contract with. It brought me no joy to try to kill the love of my life........either of them, but if I could teach him the way of the Psychic, that meant spending more time with him."

Ari Waesmor
Boss Airship- Captain's Quarters

Ari drew his blade, everything forgotten now at the words towards Arabelle. He could kill anyone if he was pushed far enough, and this fanboy (girl?) was no exception to the rule. "I figure it'll be best to just end you here."
Ari needed the Captain alive so he could learn Arcane Magic. Unfortunately, he didn't hear the Captain speak about him being Ari's teacher, so Ari was about to slay his own teacher, thus eliminating his ability to learn Arcane Magic.
