Fantasy The Calm After War (Always Open and Accepting)

Noam Waesmor
Woods West of Roy's House ------> Roy's House

After digging the grave, Noam poured a vial of salt on the child's body. He didn't bother listening to the Kitsune's rant back at the house. She thought being a half elf was any better than being a Kitsune. She also had zero idea what a Wraith was and what happened just then. It was like she saw what she wanted to see. "You didn't deserve this kind of fate. Victim of a Wraith. Madness," he said softly to the child. He made the cross symbol with his hand then pointed at the child. The child ignited in white flames. Noam bowed his head, eyes closed the entire time until it dimmed and then dispersed. The child's body remained. That ritual was to cleanse the body of darkness. It was lethal to anything weak to Holy, but children were immune to Holy, unless they were like Willow.

He then buried the child's body. "Rest easy now." Turning to head to his horse, he spotted a figure at a tree. It was the ghost of the child, but he looked happy and completely healthy, unlike that misery he just had to bury. The child smiled at him. "Thank you, sir," he said with a small bow

Noam nodded and smiled back. "You're free now. Head to the Elysian Fields." With a giggle, the child turned a flip and disappeared. His voice could still be heard though. "Here's a token of my gratitude. A gift my mother gave me on my birthday. She's nice. You can have it."

Noam walked over to the horse and found the item. A necklace with a fairy on it. Studying the magic, Noam couldn't make heads or tails of it. What he did know was that he couldn't seem to charge it with magic. Maybe because of the possession, it drained the magic out of it. Though it was a bit girlish for his taste, Noam would cherish it though. If a little boy could wear it with pride then give it to him as a gift, no point in sullying his memory. Noam put it on, actually liking the look, then got on his horse.

He jumped the creek to get back over to Roy's House. "Selra, let's get moving. We'll still catch them in Toron. There are pet shops there where I can buy a flying mount if they don't land there." There was no point in being here anymore. This more than anything seemed like a complete waste of time. He doubt he'd ever get along with these people. Noam tossed a bag of gold to Eva. He was all business, as if they'd just met and everything that happened didn't just happened. Like he just asked her for directions to the nearest hotel, and was about to move on. "Thank you anyways. Word of warning though, my dad's pretty crazy. If you land on that ship, he may very well kill you if he's in bloodlust. He'll assume you a pirate just because he doesn't know you, and he'd rather kill than speak. If I'm bad, then he's the devil himself."

Quinn breathed faintly as they were picked up. They honestly didn't think it would hurt that bad. But boy did it hurt like a bitch. They felt like they were hit by a boulder. The glow of Quinn's eyes faded lightly, not as bright as normal now. They felt good having helped though. "Go." They spoke in Arabelle's voice, wanting her to continue fighting until they took the ship like Ari wanted. "Get to the control room." They spoke in Ari's voice.

“Shh, I’m going to stay here with you.” She petted Quinn’s head and looked over them to check for injuries. “Where does it hurt, baby?” She kept them tucked to her chest in the corner, nuzzling her. She treated them as her own child.

Quinn turned a little, exposing their malformed right arm and leg. Their entire right side was in a horrifying shape. They started shaking as thin black smoke seeped out from parts of their right side. Quinn kept their same neutral expression as always despite the fear and worry taking hold of them. Why did they help these people? They didn't know them. They came here just to look at the pretty boats. But they felt the need to help them anyways. It felt natural to obey. "Am... I... Dying?" Quinn spoke in their own voice now. It was soft and melodic. The beauty of their voice was beyond natural. Quinn felt this before, right before Lily died. They looked up at Arabelle waiting for an answer, curious to know what was going to happen.

She got really nervous and tried to take care of them, pulling bandages out of her pocket and trying to heal the little shadow. “I-I don’t know, Quinn. I’ll try my best to make sure you don’t,” she said, attempting to take very good care of them and make them comfortable.

Karsh's room----> great library
Karsh

Hé finish dressing himself as he starts to walk ever so slowly walks beside the bed and opens a drawer seeing a couple rubies and as well beneath it, his diary, over a hundred years old. He pulled it out of his drawer as the rubies shimmer amongst eachother and he sits on the side of the bed looking from page one . The time of his life before he dies. He remembers it as if it were yesterday re-reading the text he written all that time but when he saw the part where he died the first time he saw a Roman numeral "one" as he started to read on and on it tells of his other lives that he disbelieved were even really him. He cannot remember his past lives as he keeps on reading he went on and on, "IV", "XI", "XX" hé read and read in disbelief as he finally say the last part of it all..... "L" (50) ... he felt a deep sense of sorrow as there was almost no happiness in any of his stories after his first death . He grabs a pen and starts to write "LI" on the page as he written of his last life and he then closes the book and placed it back in the drawer. He closed the drawer and got up from his bed wiping some of the black ghostly tears away as he walked out of his bedroom to the grand library where he would try new spells.

Among walking through the solem halls are the other wraiths resting in peace as Karsh has never rested in peace yet but keeps it strong and hums a song to himself " the sun rises another day,
"The shadows are to dismay
the blue mountains gaze away,
as the children come to play...

The singing birds chant along,
And gives us a sense to belong,
The cows graze their grass,
As the time starts to pass..."

He sings softly to his song as he finally made it to the library. His childhood never had any role models in his life either mother or father as they were never there for him. Throughout all of his deaths and all those years he has never had a sense of love or belonging to another and may never will .

She got really nervous and tried to take care of them, pulling bandages out of her pocket and trying to heal the little shadow. “I-I don’t know, Quinn. I’ll try my best to make sure you don’t,” she said, attempting to take very good care of them and make them comfortable.
Quinn felt slightly better when the bandages were applied, stopping the seeping. They snuggled up to Arabelle and rested. "Ushk?" They asked, their eyes glowing as small dark tendrils came from their torso and gently caressed Arabelle's. They decided Arabelle was a perfect parent to have. Someone just like Lily, but less scary, and less pretty, and with a rounder face, and a smaller body. Okay not just like Lily but someone who cared just as much. "Ushk, torok?" Quinn wasn't going to make the attempt until they got the okay. Everyone who they had tried to connect with kept on dying but Arabelle seemed much stronger than others.

Arabelle didn’t know what they were saying but she smiled and kissed Quinn’s forehead. She hugged them gently and rubbed their back. “It’ll be alright, sweetheart. I promise. I’m going to take care of you.” Arabelle’s maternal instinct had taken over, she felt the need to protect this child and care for her.

Quinn broke their neutral expression and smiled an adorable smile. The tendrils pierced Arabelle's chest, the process of Quinn's soul tethering beginning. The feeling would give Arabelle a warm sensation in her chest and head as well as a feeling of immense power as Quinn became Arabelle's to command and her very shadow. Vague memories of Quinn's early life as well as her Bedtime Killer years filled Arabelle's mind. Time seemed to almost stand still while Arabelle was given the feeling to either embrace it all or reject it.

Arabelle was completely shocked by what she was feeling and seeing, and she smiled slightly. This little baby needed a mother, and Arabelle was willing to be that figure. She held Quinn gently and kissed the top of their head. “I love you, baby,” she told her gently. “I really do, already.” She felt such strong instincts to protect the little baby, and she was perfectly happy to do it.

They merged inside of Arabelle, causing the bandages to drop, the woman now being the new host of the first shadow. "Hello." They spoke inside of Arabelle's mind. "What do you require of me?" They asked. Arabelle would feel a powerful surge of dark and light magic become available to them. The potency and variety almost rivaling that of her two twin children in regards to raw potential. "Lily's powers, as well as mine, are yours now." They explained. "What do you wish to call me, and what shall I call you?" They asked in preparation for a new identity if need be. Things felt normal now that they had a host.

Misty flew around the ship while serving as a mount for Suzu, who shot sonic blasts all over the place. Misty turned massive and launched a divebomb to the center of the pirates, scattering them long enough to make an opening.

Ari finally squirmed his way out of Tyr's bear hug and ran towards the door, slaughtering everything that moved that wasn't a child or an animal. Soon, he made it to the door. "Arabelle! Let's move! Get it into high gear!"
Suzu and Misty landed on both his shoulders, to Ari's approval. Willow was right there with him the whole time.

(The twins are the strongest on earth in their respective elements. FAR AND AWAY the strongest due to the genes of Gods. To be stronger or to rival the power of BOTH, especially in raw power, is to be a God essentially.
Strong? Yes. THAT strong? No way. We're trying to lower the average magic level, not raise it. I won't have you edit it. Just keep that in mind.)

Ari picked up Bailey and put her over his shoulder, ignoring any chance at her being able to resist, but taking care to not see what he shouldn't see. He didn't want a repeat of 7 years ago. He didn't even bother accessing how Herah would react. He really didn't care.

He drew his gun and proceeded inside, immediately blasting a shotgun burst through upon entering. No one was there, but it was a safety measure. "You're a damned idiot, Bailey. You'll get blood all over the dress or it'll rip." Oh was Ari supposed to be concerned about Bailey herself? He was actually, which was why he picked her up.

"You're not fighting with a bullet in your leg. How you're still standing without magic is nothing short of a miracle...... Or idiotic determination. We'll have to actually plan something now."
Ari addressed Herah now. "Herah, could you take point and go clear out a room? I need to extract the bullet. We can't heal her otherwise."

Surprisingly, Bailey didn't really resist. It was actually a relief cause it hurt like fucking hell, but she was able to fight with it so she could still do it. "You really are a pain in the ass," She mumbled, before shooting a glare at Herah. Who was trying not to laugh. "Not a fucking word."

"I'm sorry milady, you just look so small, it's kinda cute," Herah pointed out, before Air addressed her. "Of course I can," She said, stepping past him drawing her greatsword. "It'll be a piece of cake." She would dissapper into the interior of the ship. Seconds later, the brief sounds of fighting would fill the air from a nearby room. The teifling would then stick her head out of the room she cleared for them, "Alrightly boss, this one's clear!"

"Excellent," he said, walking into the room. He put Bailey down on the bed, making sure not to do anything that would jam the bullet any deeper. As a result, he was uncharacteristically gentle. He then knelt in front of her and drew his dagger. Finding the point on her dress with blood on it, he found the point on her leg. "Alright, grab something to bite while I get this bullet out. Hold still and let my surgeon skills keep you from bleeding to death....... " Ari used magic to make the dagger thinner and more slender to cut and dig into her leg. By surgeon, Ari meant precision cuts on usually weak points with the intent to kill. Not this time though, the literal first time he's ever used these skills for something other than a stealthy kill. There was blood, of course, but nowhere near as much that would be there if say Tyr tried to.

(How was the bullet lodged and how did it affect her leg?)

Before he cut into her leg, she was the one to move her the dress because the bullet was lodged in her upper thigh. So, she fixed it so that Ari wouldn't see anything he didnt need to. When he told her to get something to but onto, Herah offered her a bit of leather which Bailey happily took. Folding it before bitting down, a muffed scream of pain filled the room; followed by pained grunts. This wasn't a fun experience, but at least it was being taken care of sooner than she would have normally attended to it. The dress was pretty much ruined now, but she brought a spare at least. Not only did Bear Tyr hear the scream, but he also knew it was from Bailey. His animal instincts kicked in immediately, casing him to barrel through the interior of the pirate ship and down the halls. He needed to save his wife. But, as soon as he found where his wife was, he was too far gone to know that Ari was helping her. All he saw was his wife, blood, and Ari cutting into her. With a deafening roar of rage, the bear shot at Ari as fast as he could, tackling him to the ground. Ari would need to act quick.

He started to read the books as he caseted a few spells out to try them. In the book of illusions he created a little boy that he can see through his eyes but when he sliced he blade into the creation he turned to must like smoke . The book of anti light shows about the dark aurora which is like a field of darkness that covers you when light is cast. There is as well aggressive darkness where he casts darkness over others just like the light shining against him.

Arabelle was surprised by this. “Quinn,” she said softly, saying that as her name. “My name is Arabelle. I’ll take good care of you, I promise.” Arabelle had never been trained in the use of magic before, this was all new to her.

Time moved slow for Ari as Tyr tackling him made him cut Bailey's leg DEEP. The bullet wasn't a big issue, but this cut was. The knife dug into Bailey's thigh almost to the point where it touched bone and ripped halfway down her thigh.

As Ari was tumbling to the ground, all he could do was watch as a little bit of blood turned into a real chance of Bailey bleeding out. His work sullied. The bullet fell out, but it was preferable to this. Quick was Ari's Forte, but if he went with his reflexes, his heart, or 99.99999% of his mind, he'd stab Bear Tyr in the heart long before he knew what hit him. Instead, he called upon that 0.00001% that wanted Tyr to live in that moment to not kill him. Ari literally had to use magic to summon that percentage to calm his bloodlust that was directed completely at Tyr, the first time ever in 7 years that Ari seriously considered killing him.

His rage, however, wasn't to be that easy to calm. "WILLOW!! GET HIM OFF ME NOW!!" Willow snapped to it, kind of scared that Ari was that enraged and speaking to her. She ran up to Bear Tyr. "Bad Bear! Get off!" At the words bad bear, Tyr would feel like he just got stabbed in the stomach. He didn't, but that pain was there. At get off, Tyr was launched into the air and turned back into his human form. The trust Willow put in him was betrayed, so he was human again.

"Why is that every time in the clutch, Tyr......." As Tyr was landing, Ari, with full force, planted a punch right in Tyr's chin, sending him through 2 walls into the room across. "You're either a non help or you're a source of counterproduction?!" Ari dashed forward and punched him again. "WHY THE FUCK CAN'T YOU JUST USE YOUR BRAIN?! YOUR WIFE HAS A BULLET IN HER LEG, AND YOU JUST MADE THE PROBLEM WORSE!!" Ari kept whaling on him. He emphasized his words with more hard punches. This was all the frustration for the last 2 weeks coming out now. "You STUPID. FUCKING. BARBARIC. IDIOT!! I DON'T FUCKING KNOW WHAT EFFECT I HAVE ON YOU, BUT BEING NEAR ME MAKES YOU THE DUMBEST BEING ON THIS PLANET! STAY! THE FUCK! Away! I SHOULDN'T BE DOING THIS SHIT IN THE MIDDLE OF A GODDAMN FIGHT." Leaving him there after all those punches, Ari started walking back to the room with Bailey, who would be pouring blood. This was a mess, and Ari didn't carry medical supplies with him. Fuck. "This needs magic or a hospital. Ryan and Alison can heal." Ari took off his shirt. "Herah, can you wrap her thigh up? I can't for obvious reasons." The reason being it'd involve touching her thighs. Even with the blood pouring out of it, someone (Tyr) would end up thinking it some sexual thing and attacking again. "I'll take point this time." With a polite bow and smile to Herah, Ari drew his blade and dashed out. The anguished screams of pirates could be heard as Ari laid them to waste, most likely in inhumane ways.

"I shall take care of you as well." Quinn responded. They felt like they could hear shouting from down the hall, as well as a powerful surge of power similar to the one Ari gave off a while ago on the deck. Immediately Quinn left Arabelle and went to the source using shadow step to make sure it didn't pose a threat to Arabelle. The shadow connected their sight and hearing to Arabelle's, "I will gladly help you learn how to use my powers. Isn't that your husband and friend by the way?" They asked, watching Ari go off on Tyr, only catching the last part where he did all the wailing and intense harsh swearing. Quinn moved back to Arabelle, when it was over, "It wasn't a threat, just Ari. What should we do next?" They asked and waited patiently.

As soon as Tyr turned human, he returned to his senses. He opened his mouth to ask what had happened and where his clothes had gone (His old leather armor had been torn off due to the transformation), but was met with a killer punch through a few walls. He took the beat down, unable to defend himself from the flurry of blows that Ari was dishing out. He faintly listened to what Ari said and slowly became more horrified than confused. Hobbling to his feet, he found some pants from a dead pirate and put them on. He needed to know what was happening. The blood dripping from the top of his head blurred his vision, but he continued to limp towards where he had flown from. Then he saw it
"O-oh my god.. Bailey!" He cried, before limping as fast as he could, before dropping to his knees near his wife. "Oh no.. Just.. just stay still.. I'll fix this I promise... I-I'll.. I'l fix this...."

Karsh finally came to his last move of illusions to practice on....." the nine" a technique that replicated the wraiths in a circle around the enemy that slowly closes in and when they get close enough they all strike to kill without any escape. Karsh practices the illusions and anti-light spells for hours and hours as he felt a stomach growl " what... what is this?" He questions curiously...." I think I need to intake something to continue to live In this form..". He starts to walk into the dining hall and takes up one of the trays that all the guards get and he looks at the options. French toast, waffles, lasagna, all those tasty foods he felt his mouth water a bit as he was in his mortal form and he took a order of food and walked over to a lone table where he consumes food for the first time since his first passing. It tasted better than anything he ever tasted before so he wolfed all that good food down hungrily. Leaving none left .

She screamed. It wasn't like she could help it though, Ari had just cut through a good bit of her thigh. Blood soaked the cot underneath her, and now even the dress she was wearing. However, she wasn't paying attention to that, or the fight, just her leg. Bailey hadn't seen this much blood from a battle wound in years, and it wasn't even the bullet that caused it. She was crying by this point, the conversation in the room around her was blurred and incoherent. The adrenaline from earlier was wearing off, which may her been the reason she had been able to walk like she did. It was only Herah's hands wrapping something around her thigh that made Bailey look up.

The teifling was saying something, but with the sudden loss of blood, Bailey was dangerously close to looking consciousness. The color had drained from her face, her eyes had already glazed over...it wasn't looking good. Seconds later, the world spun and turned black as she fell backwards.

So Bailey didn't hit her head against the wall, Herah caught her and put her down gently as Tyr joined them. "I don't think her staying still at this point is the problem milord," Herah said quietly, tightly securing the shirt around Bailey's thigh. She was mad at both Tyr and Ari, because it was both of their faults that Bailey was now in worse condition. But Herah couldn't let her personal feeling on the matter sway her. "Can you heal her enough so that she won't die?" Herah asked, before she stood, "I have to assist Sir Weasmor." With that, the woman drew her sword and followed after Ari.
