Woods West of Roy's House ------> Roy's House
Woods West of Roy's House ------> Roy's House
After digging the grave, Noam poured a vial of salt on the child's body. He didn't bother listening to the Kitsune's rant back at the house. She thought being a half elf was any better than being a Kitsune. She also had zero idea what a Wraith was and what happened just then. It was like she saw what she wanted to see. "You didn't deserve this kind of fate. Victim of a Wraith. Madness," he said softly to the child. He made the cross symbol with his hand then pointed at the child. The child ignited in white flames. Noam bowed his head, eyes closed the entire time until it dimmed and then dispersed. The child's body remained. That ritual was to cleanse the body of darkness. It was lethal to anything weak to Holy, but children were immune to Holy, unless they were like Willow.
He then buried the child's body. "Rest easy now." Turning to head to his horse, he spotted a figure at a tree. It was the ghost of the child, but he looked happy and completely healthy, unlike that misery he just had to bury. The child smiled at him. "Thank you, sir," he said with a small bow
Noam nodded and smiled back. "You're free now. Head to the Elysian Fields." With a giggle, the child turned a flip and disappeared. His voice could still be heard though. "Here's a token of my gratitude. A gift my mother gave me on my birthday. She's nice. You can have it."
Noam walked over to the horse and found the item. A necklace with a fairy on it. Studying the magic, Noam couldn't make heads or tails of it. What he did know was that he couldn't seem to charge it with magic. Maybe because of the possession, it drained the magic out of it. Though it was a bit girlish for his taste, Noam would cherish it though. If a little boy could wear it with pride then give it to him as a gift, no point in sullying his memory. Noam put it on, actually liking the look, then got on his horse.
