Fantasy The Calm After War (Always Open and Accepting)

Karsh
Roy's house

The kid passed away after Noam's conversation and the spirit left it's body back to the capital where it manifests itself yet once again only leaving the decayed withering corpse of a kid holding onto a plush rabbit the belonged to him.

The manifestation process took a long time but the magic stored in the city was enough to reduce the time required to live once again. He was extremely dissapointed of being left for dead aS it will never leave his mind

(How exactly did it die? I mean, hungry, tired, thirsty sure, but unless you're on the verge of death from those anyways, you wouldn't likely die that fast. Only about 7-10 minutes passed between him showing up and dying. How did he die?)

(Pretty sure you did but if so why do we have an ooc chat in the first place then ? )

(On the question you were asking the only problem with mortal possessions was that they needed daily or semi daily matinence since they still were human. The child that was in his possession was already on he verge of death from the time he was converted to a mortal because of a lack of proper care. You can blame him for the lack of care but the child cannot die without being in that form reason why he was in wraith form most of the time. He was put in mortal form because he had no other option as compared to the holy light that would kill both the wraith and rage form of the creature. )

Uriko hopped off of Nala at Alison's request. He stepped in front of pirates and pointed. "We're having bad day, but everything is good. Right? Nobody get hurt if they step away" He spoke to them with a smile.

The pirates looked down at him and laughed. "Okay, No can say I didn't give warning" He grabbed the dagger from the belt of the pirate who Alison knocked out. "People meat, foul." The boy walked towards them, "We no eat foul meat. Good for you. I no kill if I no eat." His friendly smile faded. Wind began to blow against his back. In a pink blur he was standing behind a pirate who suddenly fell to his knees and was bleeding from his elbows. The tendons in his legs were cut and the dagger Uriko held was shoved clean through the bone of the man's elbow. "Bad news for you. I no kill you."

Seeing their comrade fall before them made the laughter of the pirates stop. All at once they charged at the child. The first to make to Uriko slashed his sword down at him. The boy stepped to the side and punched the man in the chest with great force; the man's heart stuttered. Uriko then followed up the punch with a heel to the man's face. Adult was knocked back into other pirates knocking them down.

With moves like an acrobat or a gymnast the pink haired child began to move through the crew of pirates in their way. The attackers began to drop either from broken bones, having their tendons severed, or stabbing into each other in an attempt to hit Uriko. The way he performed his takedowns it was unclear whether or not he was trained to fight. To Uriko everything could be compared to hunting. That's what he saw himself doing, hunting for his Kau Ma.

Uriko stood at the end of a trail of broken pirates. All groaning in pain, some barely alive, and others wishing for death. Uriko appeared to be a bit taller than he was when he first engaged the pirates on this ship. His hair was also a darker, almost red. He was getting close to transforming again, but his was too tired. His body may have healed from the wounds however exertion was a real thing. He held his hand over his stomach as he felt it grumble and ach. "[Ay yi yi, I'm sooo hungry.]"

A distant whisper spoke in the back of his mind, "there's plenty of meat here to eat. Why not take a bite?" Uriko looked around to find who said that, but couldn't find the source.

Zafiro

A little overwhelmed, Zafiro threw his arms up in defeat. At this point, the bead in his hand had disappeared, along with most of his hope for humanity. "Why is everyone taking it out on me? Noam, here, was the one killing a child for no reason." With that, the sudden realization hit him. "Oh my gods. He killed a child." Shaking his head in his palm, sighing loudly and in frustration, Zafiro looked to the group once more. "Seriously, let's go."

Noam did not seem like a good person - at least, in Zafiro's mind. Despite what he liked to say about Zafiro, he was the one holding up the group killing children for sport, he guesses. Zafiro couldn't see any other reason for starting a fight with that wraith. Eva seemed alright, but this new woman, whom he had not seen before until she spoke up, seemed to be very judgmental. They had no idea what Zafiro had been through. There's a reason he still breathes.

Arabelle gasped and pushed Ryan behind her when the “bear” came crashing through. When she realized it was Tyr she actually began to laugh. “What the fuck, Tyr?” She normally didn’t curse in front of the kids but this seemed warranted, her best friend was now a bear and it needed explanation. She heard Ryan scream and turned around, a pirate was standing over him and holding up his cutlass. Arabelle ran and put herself in front of her son, starting to duel with the pirate who seemed more talented than the rest, it was the first mate. “Ryan, go stay with Daddy!”

Roy's House

Noam just looked at him with that are you serious face. "Are you daft or something? Did you NOT see it transform? Did you not see what it was BEFORE it became a child? It was a Wraith. It was a Wraith until the child died."

Noam walked over to the dead kid and knelt. The child's bones could be seen. Vastly underweight for its size. "If you had been paying attention, noble, you'd know I healed its injuries. If you'd been looking at the child, you'd see it malnourished, probably for years. Wraiths can possess a mortal body to attain access to a human form, either to blend in or to defend against holy attacks, as some humans are immune, mostly children and holy users."

Noam stood up. "The child was a walking corpse, stuck in suffering because the wraith couldn't bother to keep the body nourished. If you think I'm the cause for this child's death, you're mistaken. There was no saving this child, even if you gave him food." That wraith had less than a minute in that malnourished child's body to live. You can heal injuries, but you can't heal hunger and thirst without bread and water.

"You lack situational awareness. I think I said before that Wraiths were bad news. You think this fight was pointless? You think saving innocents is all gold and glory?! LOOK AT THIS!! This child's soul didn't leave the body until I killed that wraith." Noam was angry. Very much angry. "You think this child was better off as a Wraith's vessel? This child didn't stop suffering. It literally said thank you to me." Noam shook his head and chuckled bitterly. He picked up the child. "Ponder this situation and you'll find that morality isn't that black and white." Noam's orb turned into a shovel and he started walking away. "That goes for you too, Eva. I'm sure Selra can relate."

Noam would be found in the woods, digging a grave for the child.

"Fuck." They spoke in Arabelle's voice. Quinn kinda liked that word. They watched the bear, it was a nice bear, before hearing a scream. When Arabelle turned around they saw a pirate about to kill Ryan. Quinn had stopped using their magic, a little tired from using so many spells in such a short amount of time. All the shadow could do was hold onto Arabelle while she fought with the stronger than usual pirate. Quinn leapt off and snuck around, using the shadows to stay hidden until they saw an opening. They eventually slammed themselves into the first mate and grabbed onto him. Quinn began biting at him to distract him long enough for Arabelle to get a strike in. After getting a few good chunks out of the pirate the lightweight child was thrown off with ease and sent into a wall. Quinn hit the wall with a sickly crunch before going to the ground and lying there.

Unknown location-capital

The kid's eyes flickered that possessive green light before it faded away for good . The wraith finally got into his wraith form and finished manifesting itself. He lost the sense of humanity and childish happy spirit that was infused with the physical body.

The wraith finally walks out of the hidden location and walks among the shadows in the streets looking around for those more physically fit to possess

Ari Waesmor
Boss Airship Exterior

Ari dashed about the exterior, slashing down pirates with ease. He didn't need to be good with it. He just needed to be fast, which he most definitely was. They fought their way to the interior door of the ship. "Inside now!" he called. Willow stayed on his tail the entire time

A giant fucking bear crashed about the ship. It was rampaging, but also destroying the ship they needed to hijack. Ari was about to attack the bear when Willow stopped him. "Daddy, you told me you loved uncle bear." Sudden realization hit Ari when he heard it. Uncle. "Holy shit, fucking Tyr! Why are you a bear?! "

Bear-Tyr looked over at his friend, and made a sad bear sound, before nuzzling up against the now sky pirate. He might not have been his right mind, probably because he was kinda out of it, since he had been turned into a bear for the second time. His friends seemed to occupy all of his attention, though, since he sat down on his fuzzy brown rump, and hugged Ari. He made some grumbly sounds, but otherwise was completely oblivious to the fight around him. And with good reason. Because whether Willow did this intentionally, but bullets were just bouncing off of him. He was just a big, fuzzy shield.

"Wraith? Where I come from we call those Cutters. Nasty creatures, saw a dwarf get turned to dust by one. Still a sight that won't leave my head. Among my greatest mistakes as well." Selra obviously seemed worried for those who were still at her home. "And Noam is right soemtimes one must do something they may not like. I can speak for him on that front."

Lmao the hatred built on wraiths only build up the rage wraith side exponentially X3)

The wraith whispered his voice into a unsuspecting warriors ear as it seemed to come from a dark alleyway . " what was that?" He questioned as it repeated and he came closer to the voices walking into the dark alleyway.

"Who..who's out there?" The man asks as before he knew what happened he was grabbed from behind as the wraith grabs his face with his ting finger corrupting him as he screams in silent pain from the corruption coarsing through his veins. Only it took about thirty seconds before the transformation was complete and he slid himself inside the vessel as a new possession or mortal soul that is bigger and buffer without the childish ignorance that only wanted a friendly fight not knowing he would die from just a friend duel .

Zafiro

Zafiro just sighed as Noam stormed off into the words. Then, the new woman began talking again. Yes, they had a point, but at the same time Noam wasn't exactly forced to attack the wraith...he just sort of did it. Grey morals don't really apply to things that you cause with no actual reason. "Well, yeah, I know that too. But, that isn't really the point...so, are we going to help with the pirates or not?"

As he spoke, however, a great realization came to his mind. "Oh, I wasn't able to introduce myself. I am El Zafiro Riviera, and I am no noble - I'm just rich. Just call me Zafiro."

Ari Waesmor
Boss Airship

There wasn't much he could do against a bear upfront. He was caught in a bearhug. "Oi, I'll hug you after. We have pirates to kill." Ari was itching to cut more pirates down, and it didn't seem like it was much for his family anymore. His bloodlust from Blade of the Quick didn't seem to settle at all, probably because he killed more after it, and that spell was made to kill and be done with the fight. A finisher. Tyr, however, wasn't helping his bloodlust. Helping in this instance meaning Tyr needed to keep Ari's bloodlust UP. That wasn't the case, however, as Tyr was knocking it down. "When did you start making me care for human life? You're not supposed to have that effect!" Ari at this point was struggling to get out of the grip so he could get back to business. Ari's bloodlust was like a demon in the back of his head that Ari let take over. That demon was steadily disappearing and Ari could literally feel the bloodlust fading in his body. On one hand, it cooled him down, both physically and mentally. On the other, Ari needed to be hot right now.

Willow was just on Tyr's back, giggling her head off, activating a bunch of spells unwittingly. Dark Explosions, Shadow Traps, Demon Bats, etc.

Suzu was hanging on to Tyr's head. His ears were vibrating and he barked, releasing big sonic waves to blast pirates back and leave their ears ringing, if not turning them deaf.

(Just so you know, if you get on that ship without Noam, you're gonna be assumed hostile and slaughtered by Ari. He's in bloodlust right now)

(Also, grey morals apply to pretty much every situation, even in this instance. In this case, a Wraith acting like a child means it probably possessed a child. The dilemma is attack a non-hostile being that's suspected of possessing a child, or let the being go about its business, and the child keep suffering. If you attack the being though, it'll release the child, who'll die with no way to save him. Zafiro didn't seem to connect those dots, so I'm saying it here.)

(If i May please put in my point with the wraith mechanics here, the body that does have control over the child and possesses the soul BUT the wraith has a form of integration of he personality with those that he had taken over. So the kid hat was taken over was someone that has lost their soul to the wraith and the wraith has the personality of the child reason being why he was so playful and semi friendly. Now that the mortal form is dead he cannot use it again and has lost he happy friendly playfulness and innocence of the child. The pain as well is only brought in when he is in he mortal form so it kinda is like a pause button on the status of mortal form when he changes to wraith )

(yeah, ik. I am simply going from Zafiro's POV, as opposed to my own, as he is the sort that would use murder as a last solution - well, for things when innocents are involved, at least.)

Interacting W/: Noam Kylesar1 Kylesar1 Zafiro The Fabulous Emerald The Fabulous Emerald Karsh Lenny2000 Lenny2000 and Bakuyoshi Bakuyoshi

Setting: Training field in Roy's backyard

The kitsune pursed her lips. "You may be right, Noam... but you're also incorrect." She looked at him, her eyes filled with sorrow. "All though Wraiths seem to be mischievous and such--" she looked down, hesitating to say the rest. "Just because most Wraiths are trouble, it doesn't mean all of them are. That little boy could've been innocent. He could've been a nice Wraith. It's like saying..." she paused for a long moment. She tugged her sleeves while her ears and tail flopped down. "It's like saying all Kitsunes are mischievous creatures who are trouble, while in reality there are many who are nice and kind ones."

Her face darkened, staring at Noam. "You don't know anyone's situations, so don't go around assuming things--"
Her silver eyes glowed a bit with slits. "Because frankly, that's very idiotic."

She ran over to the dead Wraith's body, and knelt down. "I-I think I can save him. I can heal people, including the dead." She took a deep breathe. "I'm an immature Kitsune, so it may drain my energy, other than that, I think I can save him." She bit her lip, looking at Zafiro and ignoring Noam.

"You cannot save everyone fox girl. I once held a belief such as yours. But Cutters are trouble where I come from. Typically sent by the emperror himself. Your blind trust in good and evil will result in you being stabbed in the back. Or doing something you regret. If the wraith was friendly it'll have its chance to prove itself so. I know for a fact they cannot be killed so easily. Now if we aren't moving i will borrow the horse and head to this Toron myself. I have no time for argueing about a wraith."

Toron----->ravenskull castle

Karsh finally finished the changes as the only difference that was noticeable in he mortal form is the neon green iris. He pulls out from the back the fury wraith's warhammer, thé weapon started to solidify in his hands as he grins. The weapon was a one handed hammer that with momentum can almost in one hit break skulls and make others unconscious. Everything about the warhammer was slim and slick for the aerodynamic part except the part that was supposed to hit others with. The last part that was a tool to kill was the pick part of it. It can just as easily pierce into skulls and the hammer part's force was that of a two handed full force hammer capiable of breaking shields.
fd331e9ce7ab54f8f8be3e08f8f64ff6--earth-games-shadow-of-mordor.jpg

Since the hammer solidifies he has to now train in the mortal self so he does not end the same fate as last time with his beloved child possession . He takes a walk down the street acting casual and all as he brushes off a few people that got into his way as he strides to the ravenskull castle and was approached by the guards " sorry we don't allow outsiders int-" the guard was cut off as he was in complete fear as he recognized the neon green eyes " I-I'm sorry sir please forg-" in a split second Karsh cut him off of his sentence by silencing him ... literally. Karsh started to look at the other guard as they opened the gate for him leaving the skull pierced guard on the ground bleeding out .

Once Karsh made it inside the castle the wraith was met by servants who kneeled before him and offered him mortal armor to equip. Without a word Karsh took the armor inspecting it before He took the armor and went to his reserve bedroom that was for him in the castle.

The room was completely dusty and dirty as it hadn't been cleaned from the last time he was there.. who knows when was the last time he was in his room .. he sighed and undressed the rags and hide the mortal was wearing at first interaction before and redressed himself into the dark clothing at was offered by the servant.

Arabelle was really being tested by the pirate’s skills, she hadn’t fought in so long that it felt like she had never done it before, despite having been one of the best swordsmen in the country. She finally killed the man and ran over to the wall and picked up Quinn. “Shh, sweetheart. It’ll be okay,” she murmured, holding her gently.

Quinn breathed faintly as they were picked up. They honestly didn't think it would hurt that bad. But boy did it hurt like a bitch. They felt like they were hit by a boulder. The glow of Quinn's eyes faded lightly, not as bright as normal now. They felt good having helped though. "Go." They spoke in Arabelle's voice, wanting her to continue fighting until they took the ship like Ari wanted. "Get to the control room." They spoke in Ari's voice.
