  The world around you fades to black and you are surrounded by complete darkness. Slowly the darkness fades, revealing a figure that you have encountered before. Something about this is different for they radiate an energy that can only be described as ethereal, divine even. The pride in their eyes was clear when they began to speak.
  
  “Young one, the time has come for you to learn of your heritage. Divine blood flows through your veins, marking you for greatness and glory. Now that you’ve recognized your potential you will be hunted. Monsters born with a thirst for divine blood and an appetite for chaos will come for you and those you love. But fear not child of my blood, together you shall train with those like you so that you may slay these monsters and put an end to the damage that they cause. I shall show you the passage to your destiny.”
  
  With those words you’re suddenly aware of the world around you once again. For a moment you simply stood there in silence as you processed what had happened. Perhaps you went about your day, brushing what you saw aside. Or did you eagerly accept your new role in life? Either way the monsters came as told they would, hungry for a taste of divinity made flesh. The time has come to train, to learn of your heritage and your powers in order to defend others against the monsters that lurk within the shadows.

  Legacies are called such due to being a mortal grandchild or further descendant of a particular deity, for example having three mortal grandparents and one godly grandparent. Due to how diluted their divine blood is, the majority of legacies are left without powers.   Mythos was created centuries ago when deities of various pantheons came together to create a safe haven for their half mortal children and descendants. Situated within a large island at the heart of the infamous Bermuda Triangle, Mythos Academy is protected by a barrier that shields its inhabitants from the eyes of the mortal world. No ship or plane makes it into this barrier, rendering the island and all that happens there invisible. The academy sits within a large mountain forest that has a number of natural features to enjoy. Ranging from woodlands to meadows, to streams, lakes, and beaches, the island is truly a place of beauty. It looks as if all the nature deities came together to sculpt the island themselves. Do you intend for all the player characters to be demigod kids or legacies of gods currently "present" in the school or the world at large? Or might we be allowed to play (re)incarnations of gods/mythological figures that aren't born or present in the world at the moment?

Like for example,the Norns from Norse mythology who were kind of "just there" all along,or the Hindu god Vishnu who had multiple mortal avatars.

Yes so characters will either be the children/relative/descendants of the current deities around the world! I’ll have to say no to the idea of playing characters that are reincarnated mythological beings or just different versions of them. I’m afraid things might get a little tooo outta hand there lol.
