Fantasy The Books of Magic

Clack clack clack clack. The rhythmic sound of Rowan's heels were muted by the buzz of the city. Her delicate hands clasped the handles of her handbag lightly as she enjoyed her walk from her flat to her favorite coffee shop only a few blocks away. There was an odd sense of solace in the chaotic sounds of banter, footsteps, and purring engines. It made the world seem so alive with activity to her.

The light jingle of a bell above the door of Lightheart Cafe heralded the ginger's entrance. The baristas greeted her with a smile she returned before she ordered her iced drink. Being a model had its setbacks for Rowan, especially when it came to what she could enjoy in food. The nonfat substitute weren't the most satisfying, but it was still a treat for her.

She made her way out onto the balcony to enjoy her cup of iced coffee, and to read her book. It was a rather special book to her, giving her the ability to wield magic. As she sat, she surveyed those around her and noticed the other pair.

Scared to death, Tom pulled out his book, he was not going to flee though. As the maps came out he shaped them into wings. As he used the maps to make himself look like a dragon (even though the maps were illusions). He then selected on of the maps and constantly used it and the animation of the maps to make it look like he was a flying dragon. This took up almost all of his thoughts and he could do nothing else, but before he used the illusions he asked the runes lady to give him energy through runes, if she didn't do it fast, he would fall and land far far below.

(Tried not to make it OP)

Natsu was not having an awkward dragon intimidate him. Natsu flew forward and sent a punch at the dragon that would knock it back. Natsu then would say "You the ones who came to my mountain, so you are the guest. Now identify yourselves, or i'll make your find out how 2+2 = fish."

"My name is Hana Machou. Now it's your turn."

Hana was a bit short on temper when she said that.

The punch going right through the dragon, was too much for Tom falling down Tom teleported to the only safe place he knew his home. Once he got there he collapsed in his bed and fell into a deep sleep.

Natsu remarked on how weal a dragon it was to die from a punch. It's why he has the true dragon power. "See was that so hard my name is Natsu Hyodou." He said while descended downward. His limbs went back to normal and his wings vanished leaving him shirtless. The Baby Sprite Dragon flew over and started sniffing Hana apparently it's taken a liking to her.

"I have a question for you. How did you come by that power?"

Hana's bet was that it was a Book.

"I'm not sure i can tell you that. A book taught me how to do that. It's really weird for a book. I'm not sure if you'd understand." Natsu announced. The Baby Sprite Dragon gave a chirp like sounds at Hana. It demonstrated it's blue lightning breath on a medium bolder, blasting it to pieces.

"A Book?"

Yup, Hana was right. There were more Books out there, and this boy used one.

"You sounded familiar with it just now. Could it be that you have one too? " Natsu asked. The Sprite Dragon was now circling close to Hana's head given off excited chirps. The dragon sure was happy. Natsu waved his hand and the dragon vanished into a magic circle.

Suddenly opening his eyes Tom saw maps flying all around him. What were they doing he hadn't controlled them. He did forget to close his book, but what did that have to do with this. As he starred at the maps he realised that two of them were at the mountain only slightly different positions. And one was were he was. Wait did the maps have something to do with the books? Quickly he reached up and touched the one that was at the cafe where he just was, he teleported there and saw a model, quickly hiding Tom pondered. 'Did this lady have a book?' He then walked to the lady. "May I sit here," he said calmly even though he wasn't.

Oda lay curled up on the floor in fetal position, holding his arms in front of his face. A rain of blows fell upon his body, and he curled himself up tighter. He felt himself become bruised and slightly bloodied, and slight tears slipped out of his eyes from the pain. The babble of voices around him grew higher in volume, rising and falling in laughter, and the blows to his person stopped. Something wet hit his face, and footsteps walked off. The voices faded into silence, and Oda lifted his head to find himself alone at the school walls. He wiped the spit off his face, wrinkling his nose in disgust. Oda adjusted his jumpsuit, pulled his hood on, and pushed himself off the floor.

"Ouch.. They really did a number on me this time... What did I do wrong...?" He began the trek home, rubbing dirt off his face as he passed by the Lightheart Cafe. Reaching into his pocket, Oda pulled out an antique notebook and opened it up. A single word in an indecipherable languaged lay on the page. "Injury." A wave of pain washed over him, and his wounds sealed themselves. Oda gasped quietly in pain, and covered his mouth so no sound would escape. A small price that he had to pay in order to ask his injuries to heal was that he would experience thrice the pain that he wanted to heal.

A girl and boy passed by him, and a ginger-haired woman as well. They entered the cafe, but frankly, Oda didn't give two cares about them. At least, until a man appeared from nowhere. He was holding... a Book?! Was he someone like him..? If he was... No, Oda did not want to get involved with other people like him, he didn't even know whether or not that man with a Book was friendly or not. He stopped in his hurry to get home for a few seconds, and continued walking. Oda, like, tots didn't see a guy just, like, appear out of thin air or anything! 'Cause that was, like, totally impossible! Oda was just going to go home and continue with his happy little life! Yup! All good!~

"Runes huh? Mine is the Book of Dragons. Lots pf crazy stuff." Natsu said. "So should we get going it's pretty latr and i finally just remembered something we go to the same school." The mountain actually sits inntje forest Hana was praticing in earlier.

"I can get us back," Hana said, and concentrated upon a portal incantation. It was pretty long and involved, but in the end, she managed to get both him and her to the last place she had been in, which turned out to be the cafe.

Rowan's eyes flecked up from her reading to gaze upon the man before her. She had seen what he did with that girl, but now noticed the girl had gone missing. She motioned to the empty chair across from her lazily, the bangles upon her wrist clanging together.

"Do you want to tell me what happened to you and that woman you were with?" Rowan prompted as she raised a curious brow.

A few people were a bit disturbed at seeing Hana and Natsu suddenly show up, but most decided that they'd just not been paying attention.

"So you brought us to a cafe?" Natsu asked. He looked around, some men were remarking that he was shirtless, some women were gazing at his nice upper body. Natsu gave the women a smile.

Oda gaped wide-eyed at Hana and Natsu's sudden appearance near him. What... What the heck was going on?! Why were so many people teleporting out of nowhere!? Wasn't this supposed to be a completely ordinary town!? Well, guess not, because there's mystical magic hooble dooble everywhere, and all in front of this cursed cafe! And nobody noticed!? It was like he was in a miniature anime where anime physics were happening! And one wasn't even wearing a shirt!

Hana noticed that Tom was talking to another woman. She was pretty, and Hana thought she'd seen her somewhere, as a model or something.

As if to answer her question, the girl in question appeared with a third party. She sat back in her seat and brought the straw of her iced coffee to her glossed lips. It was intriguing to her how suddenly these suspicious people with rather suspicious capabilities literally appeared out of nowhere. She remained calm, her expression giving no hint of reaction to all that was taking place.

"So," she began, "that's quite an interesting trick."

"Hm? What trick?"

This was, of course, bending the truth a little. Hana knew perfectly well what trick, but she had hoped that this woman would dismiss it like most others, and she didn't feel comfortable revealing her magic in public.

Natsu checked out the model in more ways than one. Natsu said quitely so only Hana could hear "My Dragon Senses are tingling." The he spoke a little louder "Interesting where do you see interesting, your drink?"

Hana whispered back: "My dragon senses are tingling? Where did you get that one?"

Needless to say, she was not amused by the blatant lies. She understood the need to keep secrets, however, and let it slide for the time, "You are welcome to join me and this gentleman for a cup of coffee. On me."
