Personality: Eric is very critically minded, always ready to find where a flaw is so that it can be worked on. While he enjoys people most of the time, he is especially dispassionate about people he views as either simpletons or just incompetent. He has a quick mind and a sharp tongue, often starting brawls because of a aggravatingly poignant comment made about another man. When angered, Eric will often channel it into a more productive fighting trance, although more often that "fighting" part is replaced with "working" to remain constructive. In battle, however, he is a terrible sight to see and seems to lose himself completely in the rhythm of fighting.


Role: Foreigner. Completely new to all this. Happy to sample the local ales, though.


Stuff the GM ought to know: Eric comes from the frozen country of Norheim, a place generally considered barbaric but recognized for their nautical knowledge and prowess as well as their fierceness and tenacity in battle. The people there are generally very large in stature, both in terms of height and natural muscle mass. The Norheim culture focuses heavily on survival of the fittest with almost any dispute being able to be legally settled through a battle or other competition. Leadership also follows the same rules. Basically, Vikings. Not quite, but pretty close. Eric is here as a sailor and warrior on the longship Der Hrafnskip. Should he stay, his crew will leave him behind and collect him next year when they come to trade again.
