Bren sighed crossing his arms a little. "She didn't tell me anything but what she goes by.. I have no idea what she looks like." He sighed shaking his head. "It would be great if you could help. I get the idea that this girl is in danger and the faster I find her the better her chances." He told Pearl hoping she would understand. Ulric looked at her and smirked. "Sounds like you have interesting brothers. So what about your father? Is there anything I should know about him?" He asked wanting to know as much as he could about her and her family.


Adak gave a nod as he pulled her closer. "I'm glad you like it. I wasn't sure if you would." He sighed feeling relief that he was doing something right. "If you want to believe I'm nice I wont stop you." He told her as he looked over at what she was cooking. "Anything good?"

Pearl nodded'i can help dont worry"she said smiling before sighing she looked at bren"want to see what they did to my base?"she asked sighing she gave a quiet sigh"these break ins are starting to piss me off"she said frowning. Melinda frowned lightly "he's grumpy he's a rabbit and he's sick.." She said getting quiet "I'm not telling you anything about my mom..oh my sister might try and kill you..along with my mom " she said frowning she gave a quiet sigh "..my sister knows about you already she wanted to beat you up..she probably could to"she said sighing


Katie smiled "soup " she said smiling she gave a quiet sigh"so ..your family..how were they?"she asked smiling gently she gave a quiet sigh"peanut butter and jelly or grilled cheese with the soup?"she asked curioursly.

Bren hugged her and smiled. "Thanks and are you sure you want me to see. I might get mad and go do something stupid." He warned though he was half teasing. "I'm sure whatever the damage we can get it fixed in no time if we work together." Ulric raised a eye brow. "I see.. This sister of yours.. she sounds amusing." He chuckled slightly hoping for the chance to meet this girl. "Well have to see about that." He wasn't sure some little girl could kick his butt.


Adak sighed letting go and walking to the table. "Okay I guess. Melinda was having issues with something but it seemed like Dolly had it under control. Mom was happy to see me and she smiled hearing about you." He told her as he sat down and watched her. "Grilled cheese sounds better right now."

Pearl smiled at him"youll be fine if not ill just smack you lightly"sdhe said before pointing it out him 'they competely broke it so now i have to get another one"she said frowning"what am i supposed to do?"she asked sighing lightly watching bren "come on lets go check on everybody just to make sure their still alright"she said sighing.


Melinda looked at him "dont underestimate..my sister.."she warned before sighing lightly "..you didnt have them put anything in the wine did you?"she asked him before sighing "..so ..what do i do now that im your..?"she asked sighing not sure how to react . Katie nodded lightly before making him one"they probably though you wouldnt ever get a girl that liked you.. gotta admit..your pretty good looking"she said slightly teasing him she gave a happy sigh.

Bren gave a nod as he followed her. "Maybe I'll freak out just so you'll smack me." He teased her as they walked. "That can be fixed. There are other things I'm worried about. Some damage can't be undone. Mental damage being one of them." He sighed knowing some of her team must be pretty shaken up right now.


Ulric smirked but let out a sigh when the food came. "Is she really that tough that you don't even think I could take her?" He asked wondering more about this girl. Maybe he would have to have her dealt with. "No there was nothing in that wine but wine. I wouldn't do such a thing. It takes the fun out of the chase." He told her with a cunning smile. "You do what most girlfriends do. You come to visit me, we go on dates, you meet my family and I meet your family, you grow to love me." He told her with a soft smile. Adak reached for his drink but stopped when he felt his face getting red at her comment. He had never gotten like this before. Did he actually care how she viewed him? "Th.. thanks I guess."

 

[Sirensong]

Pearl rolled her eyes before sighing"hmm .. the damage would have already been done bren..someone sneaking in our base shooting my brother leaving him in the pool..and then my team finding him.. with the water red with blood"she said frowning as she walked into the base she sighed looking around "hello? anyone here?"she asked.


Melinda looked at him before froning"im not so sure i want to meet your family..i doubt they would like me"she said frowning lightly "if you havent noticed id rather run then fight"she said sighing lightly"and maybe she is maybe shes not..either way.. shes my sister"she said eyeing him "grow to love you ..it might happen"she said sighing she looked at his smile she looked a taken back slightly for a moment *hmm good smile..*she thought. Katie nodded lightly looking at him "you look cute like that your face red.."she said smiling she gave a quiet sigh before poking him"foods done...if you want some"she said smiling " so..how do you think the team will do?"she asked.

Bren gave a nod. "Exactly. There isn't much more they can do Pearl.." Though he did have ideas on things they would try if they were trying to emotionally destroy her, which seemed to be the case. He had his own experience with people doing that to him. He walked with her listening for any responses, his hand hovering over his weapon just in case.


Ulric looked at her and raised a eyebrow. "Are you afraid they will hurt you or be rude? If so that is not the case. I'm a prince and future king, so they show respect toward all that I bring into my circle. Even more so to the women that will one day hold power over them." He told her with a grin. "They should fear you because of your background and respect you for the children you will be providing for the family. Children that might grow to marry their children and give their grandchildren better odds." He explained wondering if that would change her view at all. "Yes I see and I know you will grow to love me. In time though, I don't expect it to happen over night." Adak looked away from her before eating. "Don't say such silly things." He told her thought inside he rather enjoyed her nonsense and silly words. "I think the team will do alright. Our team is one of the top teams with only two above us."

Pearl sighed hearing one of them answer back "at least that's one fine.. " she said sighing "I think everyone else is hiding " she said before looking around "why would they even bother if.. They didn't hurt anyone or take anything " she said sighing.


Melinda spat out some of the wine "sorry.. " she said sighing "um...your um a what..?" She asked clearly she wondered if she had heard right "so it works ..differently there..? " she asked clearly confused she gave a quiet sigh "your making my head hurt.. " she said sighing "oh boy..the family's going to have a field day with this one " she said frowning she gave a quiet sigh "why are you here?...since I mean you live.. Somewhere else..?" She asked confused. Katie looked at Adak before smiling "oh hush you know you like it.." She said smiling "I'm curious have you had your first kiss yet?" She asked smiling "I haven't.." She said sighing.

Bren sighed looking around. "Maybe it's a warning of some kind." He suggested trying to think of all the reasons why someone would do that. "If you did something like this why would you do? That kind of thinking helps me answer a lot of questions." He told her with a soft sigh. Vera giggled as she jumped onto Dark's back. "Come on! You walk to slow." She told him with a sigh. "Maybe it's because you're so old." She joked wondering if the party pooper would get mad about that too.


Ulric chuckled at her surprise. "I am a prince. Somethings work differently there. Mostly things are the same though.' He explained as he watched her. "I'm here because I was invited over by a friend. He wants my help with something, plus I thought it would be a great chance to meet someone like you. " He told her grinning like a cat. Adak looked at her with as much of a blank expression as he could muster at the moment. She had strange effects on him. "No. I never really had interest in normal things like dating and girls." He told her with a sigh.

Pearl nodded lightly she gave a quiet sigh she shook her head seeing the penguin waddling out and trying to bite brens pant leg pearl giggled "thats enough hes not going to hurt you"she said sighing lightly , Dark groaned slightly "..well your heavy"he teased"and im not as old..as shadow"he said sighing lightly "so.. ice cream first.. ?"he asked blinking.


Melinda wrinkled her eyebrows"..you seem like a cross between the Chesire cat and the mad hatter.."she said sighing lightly looking at him " ..okay whats different ...?" she asked smiling gently she was curious about that, Katie nodded lightly "oh i see"'she said frowning she gave a quiet sigh before eating she looked slightly out one of the windows"i bet its fun outside today"she said frowning.

Bren chuckled seeing the penguin. "I know, I look big and mean, but I promise I'm not. All bark and no bite." He tried to assure her with a soft smile. "So I told my boss about all the stuff going on. She's going to look into it for us." He told Pearl with a sigh. Vera giggled at his comments. "I'm not heavy, I'm a delicate little flower." she joked back. "Dad is really old aint he." She laughed thinking about it. "Mom has a accent at times.. she's not from around here is she?" She asked with a sigh curious about her parents.


Ulric looked at her and sighed. "Well it's kind of like this. Here Hunters have clans. The top ranking clan is like royalty. Plus they have different views regarding gypsies and hunting. They lost touch with their roots in ways and to be honest hunters aren't native here and neither are gypsies. Where I'm from we actually have royalty and are very old fashion. We haven't gone stray from what we started out as." He told her wondering how he could better explain it. Adak sighed watching her. "Would you like to go out and do something? Like on a date?" He offered not knowing much about dates but he knew it was supposed to be fun and romantic.

Pearl nodded "sounds good and I don't think she likes you around me.." She said giggling she gave a quiet sigh "how do I explain to her..I can't take her on a walk..like she's used to?" She asked in a whisper , Dark sighed "no she's not you should ask her sometime oh you are not.. If your a delicate flower im a freaking prince " he said chuckling lightly


Melinda looked at him before sighing lightly "..I see though I'm not to sure what that all means.. " she said smiling a slightly werid smile she gave a quiet sigh "so.. You want to meet my family..but..um you might want to take some febreeze when you do mom will be complaining about your scent..she said all the higher up hunters have a terrible scent about them.." She said trying not to luagh. Katie smiled lightly "I'd like that.." She said smiling she gave a quiet sigh "..so your...room is now cleaner...then it was not saying. Anything was wrong..but still " she said smiling.

Bren chuckled and sighed. "Just tell her right now it's not safe, but when it is you promise to take her out again." He told her. "It's better not to lie but not to give to much information." He sighed wondering if the penguin girl would understand. Vera smiled and sighed. "I just might. Dad told me all about where his family is from.. so I know a lot about that side of our gene pool.. but mom doesn't talk about it much." She sighed wondering if there was a reason for that. "Mama said you used to act princely so why not?" She teased half serious.


Ulric sighed watching her. "It means that we don't go around killing every gypsy. We are a bit more organized over there with stricter rules." He told her with a sigh. He didn't want to tell her that things were a little crueler over there too. Slavery was a big thing.. mostly of half breeds. Though he wondered how long that would last with the rise of half breeds in power over here. "Well then we should be on fair grounds. Most gypsies smell awful to me." He chuckled. Adak looked at her and chuckled a little. "I have to give you credit for actually going in there. It being a man's room." He told her with a sigh wondering if she had felt uncomfortable when she was cleaning his room.

pearl giggled lightly seeing her trying to attack bren again"..hmm i think she ..thinks your dangerous "she said giggling"all bark and no bite"she said smiling she gave a quiet sigh before going to her room she frowned lightly"somethings dosent feel right"she said sounding confused. Dark nodded"i know..but maybe if you explain to her that youd like to know maybe she will if not we will tell her..she has to tell you atleast something"he said chuckling.


Melinda nodded"but..their used over their differently arent they ... i wont except.. you holding back information from me..if im going with you..you would be tossing me into a world im not a familiar with.. that wouldnt be ..."she sighed trying to find the right words "right..i believe.. "she said frowning she gave a quiet sigh"oh so do i have a different smell then them ?"she asked "oh um...just dont be shocked at what you find at my ..familys house"she said blushing. Katie sighed lightly looking at him"excuse me what do you mean by that..?! what makes you think i havent been in a mans room before?"she asked raising an eyebrow.

Bren chuckled and sighed. "Well I'm not. I'm sure she'll see that in time." He sighed hoping so. Following her he got a bad feeling in his gut, but he wasn't sure if maybe he was just over thinking things. "Can I call my vice to come over and help? He's not bad, just a little.. devilish." Vera frowned thinking about it. "Mom isn't very good at being told what to do." She giggled remembering the few time any one had tried to tell her what to do. "She listens to dad though."


Ulric gave a nod knowing she was right. "Slavery is big over there. Mainly for half breeds, which sale at high prices because they are stronger in some ways then pure bloods. It's not frowned upon over there to have a gypsy lover.. though they have no rights. Most gypsies you see over there will be servants of some sort." He told her with a sigh. "Yeah you smell more like flowers and wind then you do of the forest or fur." He smiled. Adak looked at her and sighed. "Well you look.. innocent and act like it too. Are you saying you've been with other men?" He asked her with a raised eyebrow. "Being in a friends room or brothers doesn't count either." He told her crossing his arms.

Pearl nodded "sure go ahead.. But if he does anythjng stupid i wont hold them back bren.." She said smiling gently she gave a quiet sigh thinking "i dont know but it feels wrong thats my room i knowits feeling all to well " she said frowning. Dark sighed "yeah but do you honestly think she will let her child go without answers ?" He asked not sure she would "yeah shadow .." He said chuckling "they truly love each other " he said smiling.


Melinda nodded lightly "have no rights..dosent surprise me.. " she said sighing before looking at him "so ..would I have rights?," she asked curioursly she gave a quiet sigh " okay well..so when do I get to see this place ?"she asked curioursly . Katie looked at Adak "wouldn't you like to know " she said grinning she gave a quiet sigh ".. I never said he was a friend " she said sighing lightly "to innocent huh?" She asked looking slightly offended before trying not to laugh she was obviously just trying to joke around.

Bren laughed and sighed. "He's not going to do anything real stupid." He told her sending a message to Styx. "He's just got this bad habit of flirting." He chuckled thinking about it a little bit. "Maybe someone was in there." He frowned hoping that wasn't the case. Vera shrugged as they walked. "It's hard to tell with mama. They do.. it's kind of gross at times." She laughed shaking her head a little. "Why do you call him by his name? You never call him dad."


Ulric was surprised how well she was taking all that. "Yes you would. More rights then most of the hunters even because you would be mine, not as a slave either, but as a legitimated bride." He told her hoping she would understand the power that would give her. Adak leaned across the table and looked her right in the eyes. "Maybe I would." He told her in his normal cold tone. He could tell she was joking but he was going to pretend she was actually getting to him.

Pearl nodded lightly "hmm maybe..one of my girls will fall for him "she said rolling her eyes slightly she gave a quiet sigh thinking about that "so..what do you think..?"she asked blinking slightly she wasnt to sure "should i just call the penguin waddles till i know her name?"she asked. Dark sighed lightly"i dont know i just always found calling dad..dad werid..i mean he has a name other then dad .."he said sighing lightly"yes but their not as bad as paige and sam trust me on that"he said chuckling.


Melinda looked at him before nodding"alright okay well this is slightly less creepy..then what..it was when you first showed up"she said slightly relaxing a little she gave a quiet sigh "..well so what do we do now..?"she asked blinking curioursly "i mean we could go do something or..you could..go do what you might have to do?"she asked . Katie looked at him before sticking her tounge out and looking at adak"well you wont know"she said smiling she gave a quiet sigh"oh..shouldnt we train sometime?"she asked curioursly.

Bren chuckled thinking about that. "I feel bad for them if they do. He has this way about doing things. You're never sure if you want to smack him or think he's the bravest person alive. Personally I think he's right on the edge of stupidity and bravery." He chuckled hearing Styx showing up. "I think waddles is alright, but something more girly would be kind of cute." He told her wanting her to have a more human name. Vera gave a nod. "Oh cousin Sam is the worst. I hear he's been banned from a lot of places.. but he's so much fun too." She smiled remembering the one time she had gone to the park with him. "So are we getting ice cream or not?"


Ulric smirked seeing that he was getting some where. "How about we go do something you like to do? I'm not from around here so learning what the locals do for fun would be great." He told her with a smile hoping she would agree. "My work can wait on me." He chuckled knowing he had complete control. Adak grabbed her arm and pulled her to him. "We could train, or not." He told her as he leaned down and kissed her. He just knew in that moment he really felt attracted to her.

Pearl nodded lightly she looked at him "styx.. " she said sighing "what a name.." She mumbled "or onyx or monarch.. " she said looking at bren she gave a quiet sigh .Dark nodded as he reached the ice cream stand "I'm getting a cosmic.. Dream " he said sighing lightly looking at vera "so..you really don't like the presents I get you ?" He asked sulking.


Melinda looked at him "yep a cross between chesire and mad hatter.. We shop.. We go to movies.. Um my mom fights for fun I don't.. Hmm let's see we eat honestly the only big deal around here is hanging out with family and clubbing..bars noit my thing " she said sighing "no trust me you don't want to do what I want to do " she said sighing . Katie felt shocked *he ..did he really do that ?* she thought feeling heatb across her face *I feel like my face is burning ..*she thought before kissing him back she gave him an odd look for a brief moment *no biting me because of my look *she thought.

Bren gave a nod. "Yeah, his mom gave him the name because it sounded a lot like his father's name." He explained walking into her room and sitting on her bed. "Monarch is cool." He told her with a sigh. Vera smiled getting double chocolate ice cream. "I don't care for presents really. I think it's the idea and person behind the gift that matters and I felt like your gifts were just a way to make you look like a good brother even though you didn't know any thing about us." She told him with a sigh hoping he would understand.


Ulric leaned closer to her. "Oh? But maybe I do." He told her with a sly smile. "We could always do what I want to do and I'm sure that is much worse." He told her with a wiggle of his eyebrows. He was hoping she would cave easily instead of making him use more dirty methods. Adak grinned after she kissed him back. "If you could just keep that look on your face." He told her with a sigh. He really loved the way she looked right now.

Styx looked at them "so what is all of this about?"he asked looking at the two he chuckled lightly before looking at pearl he thought about hitting on her then he thought he might be risking his life he gave a quiet sigh before looking at bren, Dark sighed lightly"fine no more gifts from me then'


he said wrinkling his nose "atleast asher might have enjoyed them "he said slightly sulking.


Melinda looked at him before wrinkling her eyebrows"fine we will go see my family..im not sure i like your ideas"she said sighing lightly "..um..whats the worst thing you might do to me..if i dont do what you want?"she asked a little worried. Katie looked at him "why becuase im shocked or speechless ?"she asked looking at him before smiling'' i just didnt except it out of you"she said smiling at him she gave a happy sigh.

Bren looked at Styx and sighed, "Don't even." He told him knowing what he was thinking about doing. "Someone broke into her base. I was hoping you could help fix things up and calm every one down. You seem to have a way with the ladies." He joked a little. Vera shrugged. "All I want is to get to know you. A gift doesn't give me memories like that." She told him as they walked. "Asher would enjoy them. He's a simple person that enjoys simple things."


Ulric grinned at her. "I'm sure that will be fun. Well the worst.. lock you up or maybe I could tease you.. make you do embarrassing things." He wasn't sure but he could think of some pretty cruel things. Adak was still grinning as he watched her. "Maybe both." He told her as he held her closer. "I couldn't help it. You are very attractive after all."

Styx nodded lightly "fine " he said sighing "i think i can do that " he said grinnning at them he gave a quiet sigh "yes i do.. " he said sighing "so do you know who did it did the cameras caputre anything ?" He asked.Dark sighed lightly before frowning "what's wrong with being simple?." He asked sighing before walking "so the zoo right?" He asked looking around he gave a look around "..zoos hmm I'm not sure what to think of them " he said sighing


Melinda started blushing "okay I see .." She said before getting up she gave him an odd look "um.. When would I get that ring? " she asked tipping her head curioursly "were did you get those flowers from?" She asked curioursly. Katie suddenly blushed widly "Adak .. ! " she said surprised "I mean you really think I am? " she asked smiling gently "thanks so what are we going to do?" She asked looking at him curioursly .

Bren sighed looking at him. "No, I haven't check the cameras yet. We've been trying to get her team members to come out of hiding." He explained with a sigh. Kaia hovered just around the corner. She was a little bruised but other wise okay. "I saw them break in. I tried to stop em but got shoved in the closet by the door." She told Pearl as she came out. Vera looked at him and sighed. "Because you don't enjoy the bigger picture of life if you always take it at face value." She told him shaking her head. "You are totally missing the point. It's not that I hate gifts or hate your gifts, I just dislike your emotions behind them. They don't go any deeper then 'here's a fancy present'.. I want more memories or meaningful things." she told him with her arms crossed. "Zoos are cruel places that reflect the cruel truth of our world." She told him, "Beside that they can be fun because you can learn a lot, though I feel bad for the animals.. even if they hate me."


Ulric smirked at her and pulled out the ring. "Are you saying you want it now?" He asked holding it out to her. "I was waiting until I knew he wouldn't back out, but if you really want it." He chuckled wondering if she would put it on. "I got them from a local florist. She seemed to be the best person to buy flowers from." He told her with a smile. "I almost had flowers shipped over from my homeland, but figured buying them local would be better." Adak looked at her and sighed. "I wouldn't say it unless I meant it. I'm not one in the habit of lying to people. I prefer to be brutally honest." He explained as he took her hand. "We could go visit some of my family? My grandmother would love to meet you."
