Fantasy The Barren Palace

I did the research. Guns were in existence in the 1500's. However, they were not as advanced as the ones in use now. They were more like hand cannons similar to that firework looking dragon thing used in Mulan. Also, they had the tendency to blow up in the user's hand. I do not expect my character to command a large army. She would be training/ commanding two units of 50 gunners at the most. If that is still not amendable, then I can delete that aspect of my character and remain simply as an explosives engineer that will mostly only be useful during a siege.

Oh, the Chinese cannons. Ok then (I still don't know what @DemonAbove has in mind, but seems ok.), but the 100 people may be a little much. Ask @DemonAbove

Now I'm just basing this on a work of fiction I'm currently reading but medieval armies tend to have tens of thousands of men at a time. Considering her rank as Marchioness, 100 is actually quite a small number. This unit will be a specially trained unit. Please note though that that does not mean all 100 men tail her for the entire course of the story. She is mostly just herself in non-military combat scenes. If one of the assassins decide to kill her in her sleep, for example, she is not very likely to come out alive unless she finds some way to escape or alert the guard or something along those lines. I'm presenting all this data simply because I feel like we also need characters in the middle command. From what I've seen so far, we have mercenaries, assassins, and other people who are best left at court or in the command tent. You need more than a couple of mercenary captains to head the army.


I'm just slapping this on here for DemonAbove's perusal. ( :) ) Just some thoughts.

I apologize @spongedog if I came across as mean. I am only explaining the choices I made for my character. I really just do not want to be flatly denied or asked to revise without a chance to explain my side. I am not against changing it if you really insist for the benefit of the roleplay.

Well you people seem to able to handle yourselves quite fine! I couldn't access my laptop until now (school suddenly became hard for me this year) I approve everything with your people's characters.


As for positions I am hoping more people in the castle duties will be filled. Such as the King/Queen herself and people on their counsel. (of course you can be both a warrior and on the counsel)


I am cool with the Chinese guns and your characters (or anyone) does not know about the monsters yet. Everyone thinks it is abandon where nothing grows and everything is in ruins where only weeds and thorns grow.
 
I'm going to have to quit. I don't have time to read the large posts. I apologize. If someone would like to take over my characters, go ahead.
 
Hello, I just wanted to talk I here before anything


Your rp is amazing, but at this moment I have no ideas, I am also pressured with many other rps, and college life. So is it ok if I just talk in here before i make a charie so I get a feel for the rp and figure out a character?

The King is most likely going to die once he gets over the wall {Dont worry people we will get over the wall after a little more struggling, i have everything planned out!} and he didn't even start climbing. Too dangerous for him, the queen couldn't care less though.
 
Aww, is this the part where it dies because no one knows what to post? And/or because some people didn't actually participate?
