I need to think of what Dante is going to do in this arc.... I haven't got things where I need them to execute the plan with Alexander yet, and since Dante has no parents to speak of.... I'm at a bit of a loss.. Any suggestions?

Honestly unrelated question though: Would Lilian's mother have known Dante's parents? They were rather well known(if just because of the unusual pairing of a siren and a demon)

Probably not, she isn't that much of a social demon. Her fame or infamy is more of a side effect of her being rather intimidating. Although they could have potentially known who she was.
