Testing Humanity (1x1) [Telios and SaphireTsuki)

[Telios]

Telas jaw dropped in awe as he looked around.

 

[SaphireTsuki]

Selena, smiling happily at his reaction, takes his hand. "It's even more impressive at the other end... there are some plants from before humans came to us." Not many, but enough.

 

[Telios]

Telas nodded as he followed Selena.

 

[SaphireTsuki]

Deep inside the garden there came a change, mostly green plants with flowers became more cactus-like, or filled with spikes. Eventually the plants turned to brown, with a green bulb on top, and their forms changed to more geometric shapes, some looking like puzzles or odd optical illusions.

 

[Telios]

Telas looked around, curious about the strange plants.

 

[SaphireTsuki]

"These, Telas, are known as the mirage plants. They were grown, though we don't know how, over a thousand years... in fact, if you go to the desert-areas you'll see them around where the tribes used to camp. We used them to foil predators."

 

[Telios]

"I heard sometimes Roronians go on something like a camping trip right?" Telas asked.

 

[SaphireTsuki]

"Yes, once in a while we'll return to the wilds, be they jungle or desert or forest, wherever our original tribe came from, and spend some time there as our tribal grandparents did. This is.. to preserve the nature of ourselves."

 

[Telios]

"You make me want to come to one..." Telas said, smiling. "But only Roronians come?"

 

[SaphireTsuki]

She hmmed, "Far as I know, yes."

 

[Telios]

Telas nodded as he looked around the garden.

 

[SaphireTsuki]

"Do you like them?" She asked, looking over her shoulder at him.

 

[Telios]

"Yup. They are pretty cool and I didn't expect Earth plants being here..." Telas answered with a nod.

 

[SaphireTsuki]

Selena smiled, "Well, they try to grow most plants that have lost their habitat or are near extinction.

 

[Telios]

"I'm glad that they did that. It brings more diversity to the garden too." Telas smiled.

 

[SaphireTsuki]

"It does, and it's alway nice to see which ones they're growing now." A look over her shoulder at him, sweep of her hand towards a bench, "D'you want to sit down?"

 

[Telios]

Telas nodded as he walked over while still looking around the garden.

 

[SaphireTsuki]

"So, this is the gardens. Yup." A soft look came into her eyes as she watched Telas. He seemed genuinely impressed, which she was glad for.

 

[Telios]

Telas walked over and sat down on a bench next to Selena.

 

[SaphireTsuki]

Selena, almost unknowingly, put just the tiniest bit of her weight on Telas, leaning just a bit.

 

[Telios]

Telas smiled at Selena, still looking around the garden.

 

[SaphireTsuki]

"Just let me know if you want to know anything about the plants." She told him, also looking around at the plants.

 

[Telios]

Telas nodded, unknowingly leaning onto her.

 

[SaphireTsuki]

Selena, both supported by and supporting Telas, reached almost fearfully for his hand, moving in slow increments. She herself wasn't even sure what prompted the action, only that she for some reason wanted to touch or hold his hand.

 

[Telios]

Telas smiled as he stayed close to her, slowly reaching for her hand and held it gently.
