I added some tabs to organize my character sheet and added in Andrew's personality and appearance. Hopefully my description of his physical appearance is adequate enough?
 
First off, Pips and Sherwood, great role-playing in those posts! Not only did I learn lots about Elyana (her perspective, manner of speech and word choices, etc.), but it is very cool to see Zaile sharing her experience both as a paramedic and as a Zentraedi amongst humans. Not only were those posts worth re-reading, but Taniya is the kind of character who genuinely needs to hear and learn it. Thanks to your characters, I can help Taniya grow. So, yes, Zaile, you did the situation justice! =)


TechnoParadox Techie, however you decide to express yourself is good enough for me! Thank you for doing so. =) For my characters, I personally prefer both a picture (which provides a distinct mental idea) and in-game description (how the person in that picture moves, talks, interacts, uses body language, expresses himself, etc.). For anyone else, I'm happy with any information the player provides; the more I can picture and "hear" your character, the better idea I have of how they go about their part in the story.


Beo, the same applies to you; anything you provide helps (it's when folks don't provide at all that I have difficulty for lack of information to go on). So yeah; thank you for providing! =)


 
@TechnoParadox Hey, something I didn't have time to mention before I had to post-and-run today - I did not mean for Taniya to say "hello" and run off with Zaile and Elyana without interacting with your character first. However, I didn't know how better to write the post. Sorry!


In this next post, I'll write "Earlier..." and display Taniya's interaction with Andrew, and in the second part of that same post, I will provide her reaction to Zaile and Elyana's perspectives.


I do have a request (meant in good faith) for you. I notice that you appear to have a slight tendency to "take liberties" with the scene or perhaps other characters? I'm mainly referring to the Anton-17 speaker "chatter" that you provided instead of Sherwood? I request, please, that you do not take such liberties with my character (not that you have - you haven't =) ). I feel that it is one thing to respond to how another character interacts, but something completely different when a player writes for a character that isn't his or hers (at least, without clear permission from that player). =)


If other players and our storyteller don't mind this sort of thing, that's fine by me! I just want to be the only one providing what my character actually says and does, please. =)
 
Ah, I see. I only did that just to kind of explain what happened for my character. Don't worry, I'll keep this in mind from now on and I'll refrain from doing such things in the future.


 
My apologies once again. Also for your thing about interacting with Andrew, I misinterpreted it, it seems. xD

Hey, everyone! We have a new squadmate in Techie's character here - and that's a good thing! However... I really really hope that his character, Andrew, doesn't walk into any squad-only conversations unexpectedly. Otherwise... he may just run into a scene like this (incoming silly! Get ready!).


What Taniya's Squad is really like behind closed doors... =)


Taniya: "Giiiiiirlll, I'm tellin' you that Lord Breetai had the nerve to ask me, 'Am I cool in combat?' Am I Cool In Combat?! I said, "What?! You bald-headed, green-faced, one-eyed dummy! Don't you know I am the ice in ice cream an' the Zen in Zentraedi?' Can you believe he got up all in my grill wit dat?"


Zaile: "Tani-baby, this why I got me a Micronian woman! Dey got it goin' on! Mmm mm MMM!"


Elyana to Zaile: "You sayin' I'm your Flavor Most?"


Zaile: "I'm sayin' you can be the cheese in my grits anytime! An' I like my cheese hot enough to melt in my mouth!"


Elyana: "Girl, you know I like some sugar in my grits!"


Zaile: "I got your sugar right here!"


Taniya: "Y'all need to find a room!"


Kevin walks up and breaks into the conversation, waving his hands and standing stoically: "Harken unto me, my valiant squadron, and lend me your ears! I say unto you that mercy be granted upon our poor and empty-bellied Private Tolson! Forsake her not to Brazilia Base for yarking up our dear sergeant's Tomahawk, but instead keep her here with us and she will become our shining star!"


Connor sez: "Kevvy, my man, you sayin' she gonna be all dat?"


McCarty (The Kid) pipes up: "Yo, hold up, y'all. Here come dat Tolson girl right now an' it look like she got somethin' ta say!"


Private Barbara Tolson steps forward solemnly to Taniya, adjusts her glasses, and stares Taniya right in the eye. "Yeah," she says. "Why you wanna do me like dat, Sarge?"


Meanwhile, Andrew approaches uncertainly, hand raised, hiding his dossier behind his back, "Uh, excuse me, did I come at a bad time?"


(Ha ha ha! =) )

Thanks! There is only so much seriousness I can take, and right now, it's a very serious scene between Zaile, Elyana, and Taniya concerning Tolson (plus there is enough seriousness going on in my Real Life - nothing bad, just too... well... serious). =)


Being silly and creative here on RP Nation was just what I needed. Thanks much for taking it in the spirit in which it is meant! =)
 
The valley girl Zentraedi talk is just too much. Oy!
 
Sherwood (as Sgt. Mjr. Trent) sez, "Now, lets get these mecha locked down in their cradles, and when you are done, come see me."


Hey, I iz confuzzled. I thought we had parked our mecha in the hangar (in other words, I thought they were "locked down"). Is there something else we need to be doing/explaining after coming in from the field?
 
Perhaps not everyone did, and he was saying to make sure that all the mecha was properly secured? It sounded good when I was writing the post.

No need. Just gloss over that and focus on interacting with the SarMajor.
 
Thanks for the notice. @Dannigan, you have anything to post for your meeting with the SarMajor? Should I bump the story forward? I have been told in the past that I have been moving too quickly, and I'm trying to avoid that.
 
Yes. Give me a short bit, please. I'm not in Taniya's head at the moment. =)
 
Not a problem. I just didn't want to move the story forward without giving everyone a chance to get a post in.
 
The convoy arrived at Anton-17 after a brief battle. The fight seemed to be a ruse to distract the guards while two Zentraedi grabbed a transport with advanced targeting computers in it. Once you got to the station, various NPCs have come to introduce themselves, including Sargent Major Trent, the head NCO in charge of the mecha forces at the base. Does that help?


 
I'm looking forward to being able to introduce you guys to the new mecha in the UEEF Marine sourcebook, including the new Z2 Officer's Battle Pod made for the micronized ace troops of the REF and the new Destroids.

Have either Taniya or Zaile heard of this Zentraedi, Sarena?
 
Yes. She was a protege of Khyron, and was a commander of a half dozen ships under his command. She is very nasty, enjoys hurting people, and is a tactical genius.
