Taking Flight [Inactive]

Ali stuck out her thin tongue out from her beak before switching over and almost falling out the tree. She used her wings to lift herself back up and clutched the branch.

"That is the last time I ever switch while in a damn tree!" Ali was shaking like jelly when you poke it.

"Uh, I was at the tribe looking for the Celeste girl," she managed to say after she composed herself.

Jack was interested when she mentioned Celeste," what were you doing looking for her." he was now very curious as to why she went to find Celeste and why she even came right back to him

"Well I was sure I'd seen her before in the forest hunting so I decided to see if I could talk to her, but I failed. So I was gonna go to the lake to get bugs and stuff, yes ew gross she eats bugs, and I saw you in a tree. Thanks for the bread by the way," Ali smiled as she took in a breath. That was long.

Jack smiled," your welcome and what did you want to talk to her for." he wanted to know because he really didn't

get Ali most of the time, but that what he liked best about her.

"Hmm, I guess I wanted to ask what the tribe is like now. I never saw her in the tribe in my years there either so I wanted to chat, if she didn't take my head off first," Ali rushed out.

She started to realise how uncomfortable this tree was starting to get. "Uh, could we hop down? I usually stay in trees as a bird sooooo this is kinda uncomfortable," Ali smiled sheepishly as she spoke.

Jack grinned," you can but I gotta stay up here and I'm fine up here anyway." he glanced back to were Dara was, then leaning back and putting his hands behind his head

"Woah is that a swan Angel? Wait, is she that Angel from the lake!?" Ali was now leaning over the branch she was seated on.

She flew up to the branch Jack was on and poked his nose. "Is she dead? Did you kill her? Do you like her? Is she cool? Why is she skinny? Human listen to me!" Ali poked his forehead before settling on the thick branch Jack was on.

Jack grinned and chuckled a bit," your annoying you know that right and I'm just helping her out she suffered some injuries and I helped her out and she's sleeping so I wish you would be a bit quieter." he then poked her forehead just as she did him, he didn't know why but he enjoyed the company the company of angels more than he did humans. He couldn't help but laugh as he thought that

"Oh cool, she isn't dead," Ali whispered, "is this better? And I think she should eat more," Ali said, gesturing to the Angel's skinny form.

She looks like a twig, I could help her get food, she thought happily. She could help this swan Angel.

Jack nodded," yeah I guess she could eat." he yawned and stretched," you mind taking over look out duty I'm tired." he didn't wait for an answer he was already asleep by the time he asked

Ali rolled her eyes as Jack fell asleep. "Sleeping in a tree probably isn't safe," she muttered before switching back to a magpie and standing on Jack's head.

I'm sure he wouldn't mind if I used him as a perch, she thought and laughed in her head.

Dara wasn't used to sleeping with people talking near her, so it wasn't surprising when she woke up about three-fourths of the way through Jack and some other angel's conversation. She made it look like she was asleep (Which she had practiced before in her old tribe) and eavesdropped on their conversation. Once she heard that Jack was asleep, she waited for a few moments, before turning on her side and quietly asking the other angel, "who are you and what are you doing here?"

Ali literally fell off Jack's face and into the tree branch. She switched back to an Angel to communicate with the swan one.

"Sorry if we woke you. I'm Aaliyah, you can call me Ali, you don't need to though," Ali smiled at the other Angel. "Oh, right, were you that swan at the lake?"

Dara didn't care for Ali's apologies. Wow, I'm just rolling in liabilities here, she thought to herself. And I had thought this was a secure area. She responded to Ali's question by saying, "so what if I was? If you have to question whether or not I was a swan that was clearly acting up, you most likely have either seen more swan angels or not many swans." Her face was expressionless throughout the entire thing. Searching for her daggers, she narrowed her eyes. She probably wouldn't kill this angel, but she just needed a weapon to defend herself. Just in case.

"Fine, fine. I need to go anyway, and I haven't seen many. The only time I've seen many swans was that tribe in the war." Ali stood and dusted herself off.

"Well bye," she said as she took of to the sky with a quick beat of her wings.

Jack looked down at dara and said," you need to work on your social skills." he laughs and jumps down, " so how's your wings feeling has the disinfectant help any." he said as he studied the wings

Dara was about to ask Ali if she's seen any of the swan angels she mentioned recently, but she flew off. Hearing Jack's comment, she mumbled sarcastically, "gee, thanks." She stretched out her wings. "They feel better, thanks."

Jack nodded," you hungry ?" he was feeling puckish himself so it only seemed right to ask her if she was hungry. He was going to try to hunt a deer so they could get filled up rather quickly.

Dara shrugged. "I guess," she said quietly. She's been practically living off of aquatic insects and plants. She could tell Jack was hungry, so she just went along with the idea that he'd go hunt just to please him.

Jack nodded he started a fire and headed out to hunt it took him a while to find the deer but when he caught up to it he didn't have a problem taking it down. When he got to the carcass he skinned it and put the meat in the skin then carried it to the campsite and started to cook it. He looked over at data," so how do you like your deer cook?"

I remember why I left the tribe now, Ali rolled her eyes as she flew through the air. She would tell the swan Angel about any swans she'd seen as soon as she became nicer.

Ali switched mid-flight, she was hoping to find some edible berries somewhere in the forest. Maybe bring back a fish or something for that Angel. Maybe.

The young Angel sighed as she walked around the forest looking up at the beautiful sky hating how alone she was feeling, but that was the life she had brought upon herself. She shook her head and took in a deep breath taking in the fresh delicious scents of the forest. Tucking a piece of light brown hair behind her ear, she kicked a rock and then sat on a log deciding to just sit for a little while and relax. It was such a beautiful day out, and it was peaceful. Loneliness is cruel, though.
