Taking Flight [Inactive]

Letting out a small scream, Dara quickly flew up so that she was a few feet above the air. She pulled out her two daggers, pointing them at the human. Her eyes were wide with terror. Luckily, she was able to still fly with her wings wet as they were those of a swan. "Who are you and what do you want with me?" She asked immediately. She would not risk her life again.

"I dont want anything from you I was walking and I saw you lying there, with bloody wings. I have some disinfectant in my pack if you want some. It works better than water. Oh and I'm unarmed by the way." he got up and spinned around so she could see that he had no weapons. He wonder what had happen to her wings so he ask," so how did you cut your wings he said this with a smile

Dara didn't trust this human. She didn't trust any human. In fact, she didn't trust most living things. Narrowing her eyes slightly, she quietly said, "why should I tell you?" For all she knew, his "disinfectant" could be acid or chlorine or something else that could damage her wings. Her wings were pretty tired at this point, but she would not go down to the ground.

" well suit yourself I left my stuff back at your cot anyway so when your ready you know where to find me." jack then got up and walked back to the angels cot. He sat by his stuff wondering how to get this angel to trust him all he wanted to do was five her the disinfectant to help her but she seems less open to talk unlike Ali.

Floating down to the ground, Dara kneeled once more to wash the last bits of blood off her wings. She finished up quickly and went through the trees once again to go to the top of her mountain. It was painful this time around, and she nearly dropped a couple more times than before. Panting, she sat on her makeshift bed. One of the mountain goats that was up there with her came up to her. She scratched its head, looking off into the distance. ... Now he knows where I am, she realized with a horrified gasp.

Jack finally reached to cot and saw the angel with a goat," I'm guessing that's your pet." he then went over to his pack and grabbed the disinfectant out of his pack and tossed it to her. Wondering to him self how he is going to get her to trust him." my names jack by the way what's yours." he sat down and leaned back against the tree trying to figure out his next move

Watching the human with cautious eyes, she replied, "no he isn't my pet. He's my friend." She caught the "disinfectant" with one hand, cringing slightly as it nearly hit her face. She found a random leaf and sprayed it to see if it was real disinfectant. Well, the leaf hasn't disintegrated, so... I guess it's real, she thought. Warily, she sprayed some of the disinfectant on a part of her wings and hissed from the stinging pain. She ignored Jack's question and asked, "Jack? How common is that for you humans?"

He looked at her glad to have finally broke the ice," well I can't really say because I haven't met another jack." he grinned and laughed," sorry for laughing but I just can't believe it your the third angel I met today, so I had a pretty eventful." he lead forward ." so mind telling me how you managed to get your wings all torn up." he smiled at her

"Trees," she replied simply. She looked at him bewildered. "Three? Have you... By any chance, seen any swan angels?" She asked. Her old tribe had been compromised out of entirely swan angels. Maybe I should befriend just this one person... Only for help, nothing more, nothing less, she decided in her head. She hasn't interacted with anyone for years. She wouldn't say it, but it felt nice... Somewhat.

He was thinking back to his other encounters," sorry to say but your the only swan I've seem. Why do you ask anyway." he studied her trying to figure out what she was going to do, but couldn't help think of what Celeste could turn into since he hadent see her change?

Dara frowned. After passing him back the disinfectant, she twiddled her thumbs. "I've been looking for my old tribe for a few years now," she confessed. She blinked back tears. Why was I so weak back then? If I had just been more careful... Idiot! You got yourself kidnapped! The reason you nearly starve all the time is because you're weak! She wanted to hit herself in the head, but Jack would probably call her insane... Which she was... She hated putting herself down, but that's the reward for not being able to open up to others. She had met other humans before in her travels, but she usually flew away from them.

Jack could tell she was upset he didn't understand why, but he didn't care. He got up and walk over to Dari and knelt down, then put a hand on her shoulder. He smiled warmly as he said," don't worry I'm sure theres a few of your tribe members out there, but we can't get very far if we stay here. I'm gonna help you find your tribe I promise."

Dara shrugged. "Maybe," she said quietly. She then promptly began to babble on and on about how she had been kidnapped and separated from her tribe, how she nearly starves all the time, even how she has a few disorders. Pausing to breathe, her face flushed a light pink from embarrassment. I just practically spilled out my life story, haven't I? She moved some of her white hair away from her face. "I guess I forgot to say my name. I'm Dara. Dara Hansika."

Jack sat down in front of her," its nice to meet you Dari." he smiled and held out his hand," well I guess were partners from here on out and don't worry about food I can hunt and I can promise you won't go hungry while your with me." he chuckle a bit

Dara ignored that he said her name wrong, and shook his hand. "Yeah. Partners. And, um, don't worry. I don't eat much meat," she said. She rarely ate meat, and when she did, it was usually fish. Most people could tell she didn't eat much at all, being able to see her ribs. She smiled a tiny bit, green eyes flashing with happiness for the first time in years.

He got up and went and sat down by his equipment.," you might want to get some rest. I'll keep an eye out for anything weird." he smiled and leaned against the tree looking around. He was actually looking for any magpies. He just couldn't shake that fact that she was small enough to spy on them.

After attempting to find this Celeste Angel at the tribe and failing miserably, Ali flew off in search of food. Bugs and a rabbit isn't enough to feed her.

I haven't had any berries in a while, but then again I could die. So its time to go back to the lake, she decided as she flew through the air, or maybe I could go find that swan. Oh nice, am I having an argument by myself now? God, I need friends, she always did this, even in the tribe but she wasn't crazy, its how she went over things in her head.

Just got a bit out of hand.

Dara nodded before going to her makeshift bed. She curled up slightly. This guy's nice. I shouldn't take a liking to him, however. He could be using me. No, I will not care for him, she decided. And with those thoughts, she fell asleep.

Jack could tell she didn't care for him much, but he didn't care he just wanted to help her. Before he went to sleep he unrolled his blanket from his pack and put it over her. He then climbed up the tallest tree and started to scan the area

Woah what's that deer doing in that tree over there? Dang forest animals getting crazier everyday, Ali joked as she saw something or someone climb up a tree.

As soon as Ali came close enough to make out who it was she started to giggle in her head. She swooped down and landed on a branch a bit lower than the ones around Jack. She chirped to signal her arrival.

He could tell by the chirp he had a friend there with him. " I knew id run into you again so what brings you here Ali." he was glad she came he had someone to talk to now

Ali chirped again and the chirp sounded sort of like 'food'. She was so glad magpies were a part of the corvid family, she could talk without switching over to her Angel form.

Well, sort of talk, maybe throw out a few words, not full sentences. She wasn't a bloody parrot.

Jack rummaged through his pack and pulled out some bread he was saving and held it to Ali." why are you so hungry we just ate a little bit ago." he didn't really care he was just glad she was there even if she stayed in bird formed. " so where did you head off to when I left?" he grinned at her as he said this

Ali cocked her head to the side and hummed. "Tribe," she managed to chirp out.

Maybe I should switch over to an Angel, it would be easier to communicate, she thought.

Jack raise his eyebrow curiously," I thought you were a loner like me. Why did you go to a tribe?" he slung the pack back on his back then let his legs hang over the side." oh and please turn it'll make this much easier." he chuckle a bit and smiled
